Psycho (1960)
>yet another horror classic, however, most of the later-deceased find it to be a bit too drawn-out
>it also doesn't help that many of them had seen it, or heard enough about it that it's all spoiled for them
>Noir, Sting, Alastor, Sir Pent, Niffty and Angel, however, are completely gripped by it, and Alastor especially finds the premise haunting

American Psycho
>while many movies had managed to disgust, horrify, or disturb the staff, this is the one that truly fucks with their minds
>everyone's completely flabbergasted about it, and any conversations regarding it ran aground within seconds
>a few days later, nobody even seems to remember watching the movie in the first place, and the renting place they got it from has no record of any of them ever being there
>nor does it have the movie on it's list
>the events cause Angel and Cherri to swear off drugs... for about a week

Joker
>it's the movie most the anons have been waiting for - Chan especially
>Vaggie once again pleasantly subverts their expectations by being just as hyped about it as they are
>the rest of the staff, however, are skeptical, and Noir, once again, isn't expecting much
>they all end up liking it in the end, and Noir - who had to deal with striking workers and union busting when he was a Pinkerton - wonders if he had unknowingly dealt with psychos along the way

True Grit (1969)
>finding a western to be good break from their usual lineup of cutesy animation films and horror flicks, the gang enjoys the old-fashioned movie
>Husk, who had seen when it was first released in the theaters, is filled with nostalgia, and even tears up a bit - this was the last movie he saw before being shipped of to 'Nam

>the anons, Cherri, and Vaggie enjoy it for what it's worth, and are relatively unfazed by it - Cherri still finds the special effects to be, eh, "effective"
>Alastor thinks the whole plot is just a perversion of the Sandman myth
>and as for the rest of the staff?
>Insomnia for weeks

Christine
>while Vaggie is a fan of Stephen King - as it turns out - she finds this to be one of his weaker works, despite the fandom that surrounds it
>still, she enjoys it, and so do the others - it's a good nailbiter of a movie, if a bit predictable due to it's age (well, to some of them - the earlier-deceased find it to be just as terrifying as it was upon release)
>Alastor, to the surprise of many of them, praises the soundtrack

The Irishman
>Noir, who had recently read up on the Hoffa case, is intrigued by the movie
>the rest of the gang also watches with bated breaths, as the events unfold
>afterwards, there's a long discussion about Hoffa and organized crime/labor
>Angel, who'd become a bit more conscious about his vocation after the anons staged a strike for him, finds the intertwine of the union and the mob to be "disgusting", stating that his family had never done such a thing
>however, a firm "As far as you know." from Sting stops him from going into an active rant about it

Se7en
>mixed feelings at large - they like the film for how well it portrays its world, but feel uncomfortable because of said portrayal
>Noir likes it, understandably

Fantastic Mr. Fox
>while going into it with low expectations, thanks to Chan's and Angel Dust's claim that it's "furry bait", the others end up being taken by the surprising maturity of the movie - and many end up enjoying it

Isle of Dogs
>another movie that manages to surprise the staff
>however, many - Alastor in particular - end up finding the ending to be too over-the-top to be taken seriously

>nope, this time, not even its classic status can save it from just how aged it had become
>the menagerie of newer movies that the gang had already witnessed certainly didn't help
>however, watching the 2012 remake, on the other hand...

Airplane
>a bit more subdued, but most of them still have barrels of fun with it

Urotsukidoji 2: Legend of the Demon Womb
>A firm "NO" from Charlie shoots down the movie
>the anons still decide to watch it
>no regrets
>(actually, they regret everything, they regret everything they've ever done. And it's GLORIOUS)

Silent Hill
>while some anons try to praise it for trying to place the story into a somewhat familiar background, relating to the Centralia coal-seam fire, most of them are just disappointed
>it's an OK movie to slog through for the staff, but they do find it to be more mindfuck than horror - although Pyramid Head still manages to elicit some terror from the staff, as they literally don't know what to make of the fucking thing
>Charlie especially freaks out, which almost forces the others to end movie night early, until she manages to calm down

Awakenings
>everyone fucking cries
>and it feels SO GOOD

What Dreams May Come
>nobody cries, but they still find it to a be a touching story
