Just let me feel miserable

Alexithymiaa: -Steph was lying on the couch completely miserable in her warmest and most comfortable pajamas. She had a blanket wrapped around her body tightly and was curled into a pile of cats who had joined her for cuddles on the couch, but was still shivering because she felt shitty.-
Covet: Felix came into the house after getting off work He'd stopped by and gotten some pizza for him and some soup for Steph from the local italian place. He'd also stopped by Walgreens on his way home as well to get a few things for Steph to help make her a little less miserable. "Hey, I'm home, are you still alive?" He called out to her.
Alexithymiaa: (UGHHHH PIZZAAAA)
Alexithymiaa: -She let out a small wispy voice, about all her throat would produce at this point. "No...." Pressing her face into Isley's side, she pulled her blanket tighter around her. "It's cold in here."-
Covet: "Well Then I guess you want me to start a fire, Do you want that first, or do you want me to bring you warm things to make you feel better first?" He asked her as he walked to the kitchen and set the bags and the pizza down so that he could get things dished up and such.
Alexithymiaa: -She sat up a little, keeping her bundled mass wrapped around her as she looked over at him. "What'd you get?"-
Covet: "I got you some Vegetable lentil soup, and I got me some pizza, pepperoni black olive and pineapple if you're interested. Then I got you this Theraflu stuff, which is apple cider flavored but it should help with the aches and chills and help you sleep. And then I've got you this bath soak stuff that's got eucalyptus to help decongest you." He told her then went over to the fireplace to get it going so she wasn't too cold while he got food put together.
Alexithymiaa: "Did you just ask me if I want some of your pepperoni pizza?" She asked with her raspy voice, furrowing her brows in complete confusion. "I think I will stick with the soup, thank you, but I'm not taking the Theraflu."-
Covet: "Yes, I thought it was nice to at least offer." He said. Once the fire was going he made his way back into the kitchen to get her things to bring to her. "Why no Theraflu? There's literally nothing in it that's medicine related, it's all natural crap that's supposed to make you feel better. It's probably a placebo or something." Felix said.
Alexithymiaa: "Well then let me read the label." She said, only poking a few fingers out of the top of the blanket in order to request it. "The soup sounds good though."-
Covet: "Eh, It's got something to help the cough and a mild decongestant." He said looking at the box himself. "But it's not like pill form, nor is it any sort of narcotic... and honestly... you'll feel better. You're making yourself suffer for not point an reason. It's okay to give your body a boost." He said making it for her anyways because he was sick and tired of her looking so damn misrable when she didn't have to feel THAT bad. He poured the soup out of the cup and into a bowl for her and brought it to her with a spoon before goign back to get his pizza and her medicine drink.
Alexithymiaa: "Just because it's not a pill doesn't automatically mean I want it." She spoke unamused, watching as the soup made it's way over to her. "Thank you." Taking the bowl into her lap to be craddled by fluffy blankets, she lifted the spoon to blow on it and then just proceeded to cough until there was nothing left on the spoon.-
Covet: "But I don't get why you don't want it. If it means that your head and body isn't hurting, that you can breath, that you aren't coughing.... You don't HAVE to deal with those things as hard as you are." He said. "Seriously... you mean to tell me all that is better than not having to cough for four to six hours?" Felix said flatly. "You're stressing your body out by not taking anything. And that's going to make getting better twice as long."
Alexithymiaa: "Because I'm on enough medication already that IS necessary, I don't want to take anything else that isn't going to do anything to actually cure the sickness." She spoke quickly in her raspy voice, setting the spoon down in her soup and looking at him. "I'll be fine. No one dies from a cold."-
Covet: "But it kind of does cure the sickness. And yes they do, when they don't take care of themselves and the cold evolves into something like bronchitis, or a respritory infection." He told her. " How do you think people die in old age? It starts off as a cold, then the next thing you know it's good bye cruel world. RIP." He said being dramatic as he went to go sit down with his food, digging into it.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm twenty three, not ninety three. This cruel world isn't letting go of me any time soon, cold or not. Which is good because I have a lifetime of annoying you ahead of me and I'm not willing to short change you on that." She forced a smile and picked up her spoon again, slurping the soup gently because hot.-
Covet: "How's your heart feeling with all of this coughing. I'm sure it's effecting your breathing too from teh souds of it." He said looking at her as he pulled his pizza from his mouth with all the gooey cheese.
Alexithymiaa: "Not even a chuckle?" She asked before spooning more soup up to her mouth. "My heart is... fine, I guess. I haven't felt any of the usual symptoms, I don't think." She nudged Harvey away from her bowl, not willing to share with him.-
Covet: "It's hard to laugh when I see how miserable you look, and how miserable you don't have to be." He looked at her, "Why did you hesitate before fine?" Felix asked amidst another bite of his pizza.
Alexithymiaa: "I was thinking about how I've felt over the last few days and recounting if I'd felt anything out of the ordinary. It's just kind of hard to tell when there's a bunch of other shit going on." She spoke before taking another spoonful of soup into her mouth and then setting the bowl on the table, her hands instantly grabbing for Harvey to stop him from going for it.-
Covet: Felix nodded his head slowly, "You never did really tell me about your last appointment that you had." He asked her as he finished his pizza and put the empty plate down on the table. "
Alexithymiaa: -She settled back into the couch with her fluffy blanket, stroking Harvey in her lap to keep him occupied and away from her soup. "Oh... it was fine. He didn't really say anything."-
Covet: "He didn't really say anything, or you weren't really listening, because you didn't like what he said?" He asked her for better clarification, because he knew how she worked when it came to doctor shit.
Alexithymiaa: "I was listening." She retorted in a strained voice, her face scrunching. "He didnt say anything different. There was no change. The damage is consistent with the last tests he did months ago. Okay?" She asked harshly, clearly frustrated with the results he'd given her.-
Covet: "Okay." Felix said as he got up to get the dishes to take into the kitchen. "So should I even bother making up this theraflu stuff, or should I just wait until I start getting sick to actually use it?" He asked her looking at the box.
Alexithymiaa: "Save it for yourself. I'll be fine." She leaned to the side to lay down again, draping the blanket over the top of Isley to cuddle the cat. "I'm just glad I didn't get sick right before the album release party."-
Covet: "Yeah that's a plus." He told her. "I'm going to go get changed into comfy shit, then I'll come join you out here where it's warmer and we can put in a movie?" He suggested to her.
Alexithymiaa: -She nodded. "Okay. I was thinking of sleeping out here with the fire since it's so much cooler in the bedroom." She gently reached for the remote, opening Netflix so she could start browsing movies.-
Covet: "Works for me." Felix said as he went to go change, then came back out to get all comfortable in the blanket, pillow,fur beastie and Steph pile.
