  1. Kamen Rider Gatack:
  2. Gatack is the secondary Rider of Kamen Rider Kabuto. He's based on a stag beetle, and has two forms, an armored Masked form and an unarmored Cast-Off form. In Battride War, Gatack is kind of an odd character. In his Masked form, he's a slow, heavy, projectile based character. His basic combo starts with a dashing punch that can't be comboed into the rest of it without hitting an enemy, and has a distressing amount of lag, making it just worthless to use. His other main attack is firing the guns on his shoulders in an uncontrollable spread. The projectiles are too close range, and the attack is too slow to really hit anything with. This is straight up beaten by his special attack, which is functionally the same, but the projectiles go farther and you can actually aim them. This form being useless at least fits the canon, but sometimes adhering to canon might be a bad thing. The game still starts you off with this, and the best strategy is to use it for part of the first fight of each stage, and then instantly Cast Off
  3.
  4. His Cast Off form, however, is significantly better. His standard combo is alright, much like most of them, and not super worth mentioning. His secondary attack has him dashing forward, using the Clock Up technique to freeze time for a few seconds. Enemies will be knocked into the air by the dash, and Gatack can string this into a combo where he teleports around them, ending with a rather powerful rapid slashing attack. The problem with this move is that, if you're not in a crowd of enemies, it can be VERy hard to actually hit anything with. One-on-one fights seem to be what the move was built for, though. Tertiary attack has him dashing forward and impaling an enemy on his horn-shaped weapons, and then electrocuting them. This hits one enemy, but thats only aestetically, as both the dash and the electric shock deal damage to enemies around it.
  5.
  6. His special attack is weird. You need to activate it three times before you can actually use it. And it doesn't activate on the third press, it has to be activated on the fourth one. The attack itself has Gatack dashing forward again, and performing an electric roundhouse kick. Its ridiculously powerful. His super form is, disappointingly, just his Cast Off form, complete with the same moveset. Its opening attack is ridiculously powerful, lasting for around a solid 15 or so seconds, and being able to drain half of a boss' health.
  7.
  8. Gatack is usable when outside of his Masked form, but is otherwise just mostly generic. His Clock Up ability, unlike Kabuto's which is activated manually, seems to come in depending on which moves are used, but is mostly just a nuisance, since enemies will tend to be in the air or knocked down for a lot of that time, preventing you from doing actual combos. Overall, Gatack gets a solid C+.
  9.
  10. Kamen Rider Den-O:
  11. Den-O is the main character from Kamen Rider Den-O. Den-O is actually four (sometimes five) demon/genies possessing a single body, and each has its own unique form. Den-O is a beast, having a total of SEVEN forms (Eight if you include the entirely aesthetic based Ultimate mode form), and unlike a few other characters, these are all fully fledged characters on their own, all of them having complete movesets. An "important" thing to note is that every form has an ability you can access by holding down square. This will cause Den-O to enter a long animation (Seriously, they're around 10 seconds each) and say the form's catchphrase. This does literally nothing, and might just exist to show off that they managed to get all five of Den-O's voice actors back.
  12.
  13. However, with those forms comes slightly more generic attacks. The base form, Sword Form, is fairly basic, with a rather unwieldy charging attack you can't cancel out of, and a triple kick attack. The charge attack is only good when used one-on-one, and even then, only when you have a boss locked in a corner. The triple kick is powerful, but rather hard to use effectively, due to it being rather slow. His special is fantastic, however, being several different sword strikes that cover a massive area in front of you. This can easily be used to clear out large groups of enemies VERY quickly. The second form is Rod Form, which is a mid-ranged fiighter, and probably the least useful. Blue forms tend to be left out a lot. Its most notable attack has Den-O spinning around and firing out five projectiles from the rod, which is an attack that tends to be far better when used AGAINST you. His special is fun, with Den-O throwing the rod forwards, and then performing a rider kick on any enemy that was hit, or ones that got in between them.
  14.
  15. Third form is Ax Form, and its, obviously, the slow, heavy hitter. This form of Den-O suffers the most from generic attacks, with one of them simply being a pitifully short-ranged spin attack that isn't particularly useful. His special has him fling his axe weapon up into the air, and then slam it down in a powerful, and surprisingly fast, attack. It can be charged, but the charge just seems to change how far away the attack will hit. Fourth form is Gun Form, and is objectively the best one. He's objectively the best personality wise, but any character with a gun attack in this game is good, and Den-O's set in this form is entirely gun attacks. Main combo is a series of gun shots that can be aimed INCREDIBLY precisely, and his secondary is a spinning attack where he fires off a lot of lasers. Third attack is a combo that eventually turns into another spinning attack, this one a slightly more precise breakdance spin where he fires off his guns. Special attack has Den-O charging up his guns, and then firing out a shot, which can end up being really massive and powerful.
  16.
  17. The next form is Wing Form, which is just kind of... bizarre. Its a mid-ranged projectile based form that uses a pair of throwing axes as weapons. Its not a particularly good for by any means, most attacks not having great range to them. His main combo is just utterly shit, being really slow and having no range at the start. And if you're like me, you'll never want to use this form because nearly every attack causes this horrible sound effect to play. Its really just horrible to listen to. The final normal form is Liner Form, which is actually the body that the genie/demons possess doing its own thing. Character development, you see. The attack is a weird mix of Sword Form and Ax Form, with it being rather slow and hard hitting, but having much better range. It even shares Sword Form's dashing attack, except better because it actually ends with two extra sword slashes, and doesn't last as long. Its just genuinely a good form to use, but isn't anything amazingly spectacular.
  18.
  19. Den-O's super form is Climax Form, which is like most super forms, and mostly just not incredibly memorable, but very overpowered. climax Form has this very fun missile launching attack, however. Its otherwise fairly basic. Den-O is actually one of the few characters who has a SECOND super form, which can only be activated when you're playing as Liner Form. Its exactly the same as Liner Form usually is, but starts off with a ridiculously powerful charging attack. Den-O also has an extra ultimate form, only activated through Climax Form. It just adds wings to the back, and is otherwise exactly the same as Climax Form usually is.
  20.
  21. Den-O is a perfectly well balanced character, with all of his forms having some use. Fittingly enough, you unlock Den-O early in the story mode, and he's a very easy to use character once you get form switching down as a mechanic. Overall, I give him an A.
  22.
  23. Kamen Rider Zeronos:
  24. Zeronos is the secondary Rider of Kamen Rider Den-O. Unlike Den-O, Zeronos is actually himself, with a genie/demon just forming armor on him in his secondary form. Unfortunately, Zeronos is one of the most boring characters in the entirety of the game, without any gimmicks, or even a real defined playstyle. His main form, Altair Form, has a fairly standard sword combo attack. His secondary attack has him charging his sword, and slashing it around a few times before firing off a projectile. This is one of his best attacks in this form, as it has good range up close AND far away. His third attack is a dash where, if he hits an enemy, he throws them forward. I'm actually not sure if this attack even does damage, as it didn't seem to affect any enemy I used it on. Zeronos also has this bizarre headbutt attack when you hold the square button, and its so slow and has such bad range, you'll only ever use it accidentally.
  25.
  26. His secondary form is Vega Form, which is slightly better. The first reason why its better is because he has not one, not two, but THREE different projectile attacks! However, in terms of projectile attacks, these are on the lower end,a s their short and can't be spammed as easily. The most notable one is his special, which is basically the same as the projectile attack that Altair Form has, but better. His sword combo is slower, but still usable, and the terrible headbutt is replaced with a much easier to use spinning slash. He still isn't anything really amazing, but hey, can't fault him for being better.
  27.
  28. His super form is the Zero Form, which, despite carrying a gun, has functionally no projectile attacks. The only projectile attacks are a run 'n gun attack that's perfectly fine, but the other is his special, and just has him firing a laser that isn't that great at hitting anyone. For some reason, his other attacks are sword based, which is very disappointing. Zeronos is generic, but not unplayable. He has a few terrible moves, but isn't the worst. I give him a C.
  29.
  30. Kamen Rider Kiva:
  31. Kamen Rider Kiva is the main character of Kamen Rider Kiva, and is possibly the worst character in the game. Despite this being the third in the series, his set has remained exactly the same, and its godawful. Well, his base form, the creatively named Kiva Form, is actually perfectly fine. He's a remarkably fast combo fighter with a lot of mobility options, and even has an air dash. He's quick and fun to play with, for the most part. He's one fo the few characters that prioritizes being the air, though that can be a problem when actually trying to attack enemies, as some of his combos put him into the air automatically. The biggest drawbacks of Kiva are that his attacks are mostly generic, and that his special takes forever to actually use.
  32.
  33. However, this praise cannot be attributed to his other three forms, the Garulu, Bassha, and Doggu Forms. The reason is fairly simple: They literally only have two attacks. They only have a main combo, and a special attack, and they can't even air dash for god's sake. Its not really even worth talking about their kits in any detail, as they are simply unusable. the main reason for this comes from their special attack, which is attributed to three different button inputs, and instantly stops you from playing the game for at least 10 seconds. They all have incredibly long animations, and the only one that's worth anything is Doggu's because it has range that the other two forms just don't have. The only upside of these attacks is that they stun enemies at the start, and you can't be knocked out of them.
  34.
  35. His super form is Emperor Form, which is more like normal Kiva, thankfully. Bizarrely, his kit actually has him using weapons from the other three forms in unique ways, and I have no idea why they didn't just transplant those into the other sets. His special attack is rather useless, however, as one press causes him to perform a long animation where his sword turns red, and then you have to use the input again, which turns it into a slash. THEN, you have to make sure it actually hits the enemy, or else you'll be put into a long animation that leaves you vulnerable. It is cool when you actually hit with it, though. Overall, for having the most amount of shit in his entire kit, Kiva gets a D.
  36.
  37. Kamen Rider Ixa:
  38. Kamen Rider Ixa is the secondary Rider of Kamen Rider Kiva. Unlike Kiva, Ixa actually has a lot of things going for him, but is one of the few unfortunate characters who only has one form... though he does TECHNICALLY have two. These forms are called Save and Burst form. The game starts you off in Burst mode, and this is where the gimmick of the character comes in. As you use Burst Form, a heat gauge will go up. If you transform into Save Form, the heat gauge will gradually go down. If the heat gauge fills up, Ixa will become stunned and have to go through an incredibly long animation. Burst and Save form have the same moveset, for the most part, but have very different stats. The gimmick is fun, despite how tedious it sounds.
  39.
  40. This is helped by Ixa just having a decent moveset. It isn't particularly special, but its fun to use. His main sword slash is fast and decent, but the main source of why its good is because of his gun attack. Yeah, he has a projectile attack, and its very easy to spam, which makes it instantly great. His final normal attack is a chargeable punch, which is probably good for breaking shields, but is far too slow to use for that. It is good at taking out big groups of enemies in an impressive way, however. His special attack is a rather standard series of fairly long range sword sweeps. The biggest thing about Ixa, and one of the things that makes him so fun, is that he can attack while cancelling out of an attack (Or "dodging", as its probably called). This makes him incredibly fast and fun to use. But, this ability can only be used in Burst form, meaning that you'll need to keep an eye on the meter if you want to use it reliably.
  41.
  42. His super form, however, is just kind of... okay. It has him go into Rising Form, and opens with a massive laser attack... which deals a lot less damage than you'd expect. his other attacks are a fairly standard combo, and a projectile attack where you have to mash the button a lot quicker than you do for most projectile attacks. Ixa also has an attack where he dashes forward, knocks the opponent into the air, and then fires his gun at them. its cool when you can actually pull it off, but Ix will always fire the gun, even when you miss, which makes it very laggy. Finally, he has a terrible close range blaster shot that actually knocks him backwards. This can combo into an aerial attack, but is just kind of annoying. Ixa is incredibly fun to play as despite being so simple, so I give him a B.
  43.
  44. Kamen Rider Decade:
  45. Decade is the main Rider of Kamen Rider Decade, and also the destroyer of worlds and the leader of the bad guys or something, Decade was a bad show. Decade's main gimmick is that he can transform into any one of the past nine main Riders (Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Hibiki, Kabuto, Den-O, and Kiva). You can have three equipped at any time, and can even customize which characters you want to turn into. This sounds awesome, but unfortunately, Decade's an asshole who wants to keep you from having fun. Every form is equipped with only their base form, and triangle and circle attacks. The combo is replaced with Decade's own rather alright combo, and the special is replaced with Decade's special, which is also fairly okay. Basically, while you can theoretically turn into some of the best characters in the game (Kuuga, Blade), you can only do so in an incredibly limited way. And you can also theoretically turn into some of the WORST characters in the game (Kiva, Ryuki), without even what makes them good! Its incredible.
  46.
  47. Decade's actual set, however, isn't that bad. His basic combo is decent, and he has a projectile attack, which basically instantly makes him good. He also has a fast dashing slash attack which is just objectively better than his basic combo. His special has him performing his Rider Kick, which is very slow, unfortunately. This kit would be fine... if he didn't have the worst dodge in the game. Most characters dodge in whatever way you're moving the stick, allowing you to get out of the action and back into moving towards the objectively quickly. Its usually a fast animation that's easy to use, and you'll be using it because of how good it is for mobility. Decade's dodge has him teleporting backwards, directly away from where you're pointing the stick. Its slow, and worthless, and ruins him.
  48.
  49. Decade's super form has him change his form, but it has literally the exact same attacks as normal decade. However, the starting attack of the super form will change depending on which Riders forms you have equipped. Despite a decent kit as himself, his gimmick is limited, and his dodge functionally makes him unplayable. I give him a D, for DAMN YOU, DECADE!
  50.
  51. Violent Decade:
  52. One of the unlockable characters, Violent Decade is basically Decade with slightly angrier looking eyes. He's practically a clone of Decade as well, having nearly the same moves as him, with the major exception being that Decade's decent projectile attack is replaced with a much slower rocket launcher. Its an alright attack, and is actually the only part of Violent Decade that's worse than normal Decade. Other than this one move, Violent Decade is far better than normal Decade, almost objectively. He still has the utterly trash dodge, but his trash gimmick has been replaced with a much better one now. Instead of transforming into less useful versions of the nine Riders mentioned above, Decade can now use their own special attacks at any point by pressing the form change button. It works so much better, and makes him a lot more playable, surprisingly.
  53.
  54. Violent Decade, unfortunately, doesn't get a unique super form (He's basically already a super form), which is fairly disappointing. Overall, Violent Decade is a lot more fun and powerful than normal Decade, but his dodge still exists, and that puts him down at a B-.
  55.
  56. Kamen Rider Diend:
  57. Kamen Rider Diend is the secondary Rider of Kamen Rider Decade, and also a horrible, dirty, sneaky little thief. Diend's gimmick is that he can summon in random Riders from other series as minions, causing them to attack enemies for a bit. While this is remarkably cool in concept, in practice its really not well done at all. The only useful ones are the Riotroopers and Kamen Rider Psyga, both because they have decent range. The other ones are considerably less useful, with Riders Delta and Drake having a team attack where they attack in front of them for a bit and not really do much else being the one that comes closest to the other two. The last summons, for Saga and Sasword, are virtually useless. Both have pitiful range to them, and stand completely still for the most part, making them worthless on bosses. Summoning Riders is also a very long animation that you can get knocked out of, making it a hassle to actually use effectively.
  58.
  59. Diend's actual kit is fun enough as it is, however. While his basic combo is a bit finicky, it also counts as a projectile, making it instantly useful. His second attack is a projectile as well, and functions like Decade's decent projectile, except with slightly more range I think. If you hold down the button while firing, Diend will fire the gun upwards, causing shots to rain down in front of him, which is useful. His third attack is a blast of blue energy that stuns enemies, and his special has him firing a stream of energy from his gun, in one of the less useful specials in the game, mostly for being too slow. As an odd easter egg, while most Riders can summon bikes for a fast travel option, Diend will simply start running at very fast speeds when the input is used. This is a reference to how he doesn't have a bike in-canon, and is the only Rider not to have one. Also, it doubles as an attack... for some reason.
  60.
  61. Diend's super form is just his normal set, and he doesn't even get a model change. That's the most disappointing thing, really. Also, unfortunately, Diend also has Decade's dodge, making him a lot less fun than he should be. Overall, he gets a C+ as well.
  62.
  63. Kamen Rider Kuuga (Decade Version)
  64. Kamen Rider Kuuga is the main character of Kamen Rider Kuuga, but this one is actually the alternate universe version of Kuuga that Decade met becausethe original Kuuga's actor didn't want to show up. He's also another unlockable character. Decade Kuuga is almost 100% a clone of Vanilla Kuuga, which means he's basically one of the best characters in the game by default. He might even be better than Vanilla Kuuga in a few ways, in fact. Despite sharing a moveset with Vanilla Kuuga, Decade Kuuga does actually have some uniqueness to him. The main aspect is that he doesn't have Kuuga's normal gimmick (Kuuga can charge his attacks, and if enough hit, he gets an upgrade to whichever form he's in), but he still retains Kuuga's charged attacks, but hitting with enough of them will now allow Kuuga to transform into Black-Eyed Ultimate form.
  65.
  66. This is a set that is actually completely new. Functionally, this is actually what Decade Kuuga is as a playable character, as you'll almost always want to be using it. Unfortunately, it will kick you back to normal Kuuga after an arbitrary time limit, meaning you have to hit more enemies to transform back into it. Anyway, BE Kuuga's attacks are powerful, with him having a ridiculous fire throwing combo attack, and his special consisting of four consecutive, powerful hits. BE Kuuga is potentially one of the strongest characters in the entire game, and is able to drain boss health like its nothing. And this is a normal form you can use at any time period, not a super form!
  67.
  68. Said super form has him transforming into Amazing Ultimate form, which is even STRONGERER than BE Ultimate form. The most notable attack here is his flame pit attack, which covers a massive area and deals massive damage. His special attack is powerful as well. Decade Kuuga gets high regards as one of the strongest characters, but his other forms are woefully neglected. You'll most likely stick to the base form the game will kick you back to, and get back into BE Ultimate as fast as you can. Hell, upgrades make it EASIER to get to BE Ultimate. Overall, despite being great, this flaw kicks Decade Kuuga from an A, to an A-.
  69.
  70. Kamen Rider Double:
  71. Kamen Rider Double is the main Rider of Kamen Rider Double. Or if you prefer, Kamen Rider W is the main Rider of Kamen Rider W. Double's whole gimmick is that he has two halves of himself that can change forms, and he can mix and match them. This means he has a ton of forms, right? Wrong, he only has three, and the other forms are just attacks/aesthetics. His base form is the Cyclone/Joker combination, which is heavily melee focused, and pretty much the best form Double has. His attacks aren't anything particularly special, consisting of a generic combo attack, a double flaming punch where both halves of his body split apart, and and attack where his arm stretches out and he can slap enemies easier. Those last two use the Heat and Luna powers, respectively. His special attack is also painfully slow, and pretty worthless.
  72.
  73. The second form is Heat/Metal which is terrible and you should never use it ever. Its slow, and despite its main weapon being a bo staff, it has barely any range. Its attacks are generic, and the normally fast Rider has his run reduced to a painfully slow one. The most interesting attack that this form has has him using the Luna power to create several disks, which fly out as projectiles. Unfortunately, this requires you to actually hold the attack down to make anything but a pathetic number of them. This form is terrible, and you probably don't want to use it.
  74.
  75. His final form is Luna/Trigger, which is entirely projectile based. This makes it the other best of Double's forms, but that comes with a problem. The problem being that every attack besides the main combo is too slow. The secondary attack where he shoots out a series of green energy blasts is fine, but the flamethrower attack he has is garbage. The special attack, in contrast to the other two, is actually decent, though it still requires you to charge it. Its a massive wall of projectiles, however, meaning you'll likely hit with it no matter what.
  76.
  77. His super form is Xtreme Form, which has a nice shield and sword weapon combo. Its actually pretty great, having a good series of combos, and several projectile attacks. Though, one of the is a laser beam that's less effective than it looks. Its special attack is odd in that its remarkably simple and not that flashy, but its fast and useful. Double also has an ultimate form, which turns him into Golden Xtreme form, where the Xtreme form gets wings and part of it turns gold. This form is incredibly fast, and has an airdah, but you won't really see yourself using it much due to how ultimate forms barely last. Overall, Double is decent as an all-rounder, but the Heat/Metal form and his general slowness makes him a C rank.
