  1. >Is this game F2P friendly?
  2. Yes and no. Although Story Mode and most events can be cleared by using the characters given for free, DeNA has been focusing more on endgame content that require gacha pairs and 6EX promotions in order to either beat them reliably or be able to obtain a higher amount of rewards due to bonus multipliers. Modes like Champion Stadium Master Mode are pretty much impossible without rolling for new pairs and they have shifted their focus on battles using thematic teams to clear certain missions, so you WILL need to roll the gacha eventually.
  3.
  4. >How do I reroll?
  5. Play until you complete Chapter 2. After that, you will unlock Missions. You get 10 gems from the first "Log in" reward, along Chapter 1's 90 gems and Chapter 2's 200 gems, giving you 300 gems in total for one roll. Use these and any additional gift/login gems to roll on the currently available banners (Poke/Master Fairs are highly recommended). If you are unsatisfied with your results, tap on your Poryphone, go to the Account menu, tap "Delete Save Data" and start over.
  6.
  7. IMPORTANT: You can also get 600 gems from linking a Nintendo Account and claiming the respective mission, but be aware that if you link your account and want to reroll, you won't be able to claim that mission again. Link your Nintendo Account ONLY when you believe your account is a keeper.
  8.
  9. NOTE: Be aware that the amount of rolls you can do will vary depending on the current available events and daily giveaways.
  10.
  11. Some suggested characters to aim for in the regular pool are:
  12. *Brendan & Olivia: Strong, single target strikers good for beginners and require almost no investment to use immediately.
  13. *May: One of the strongest Tech Sync Pairs in the game. With access to her own Rain Dance and AoE moves, she can dish high damage to the entire team along having an extremely strong Sync Move.
  14. *Serena: A deceptively powerful tech role with an AoE Hypnosis. If you plan on getting the needed merges to build her Sync Grid, her damage output increases exponentially, but she can still function well without the heavy investment.
  15. *[Sygna Suit] Elesa, Sabrina & Hilbert: Arguably the best non-limited Support Sync Pairs you can obtain who can fit on any team depending on their affinity to special or physical damage.
  16.
  17. >What is 6EX?
  18. Technically 6*, is a special tier unlocked when you max your Sync Pair through 5* Power Ups and use Champion Spirits to promote them. This unlocks a special color palette and additional boosts to the pair's Sync Move:
  19. *Striker: Turns the Sync Move from single target to widespread while being unaffected by spread multipliers
  20. *Tech: Increases the Sync Move Base Power by 1.5x, along the move's innate boost it is the basis for Sync Nukes
  21. *Support: Gives two Sync Move boosts instead of one once per fight, effectively duplicating your team's damage
  22.
  23. >What are Sync Grids?
  24. Sync Grids are a feature used for powering up Sync Pairs by giving them stat boosts and additional skills. They require Sync Orbs which can be obtained in-game in various ways. To get the most of a character's Sync Grid, you'll need at least 3 copies of that character so you can access every tile on their grid. Some characters are good with little investment, while others need all the help they can get. 3* and 4* gacha Sync Pairs and some Story pairs still don't have access to Sync Grids.

  26. >Is [Character] in the game yet?
  27. Check here: https://www.serebii.net/pokemonmasters/trainers.shtml
  28.
  29. >How do I play? What characters are worth rolling for? What does [X] do?
  30. Your best option is to ask in the general, the game is constantly changing so guides tend to become outdated in a matter of a few months.
  31.
  32. >Why can't I play? I keep getting "Device not compatible" despite having a new phone
  33. You need a 64-bit phone AND OS to play.
  34.
  35. >Can I emulate it?
  36. 64-bit games cannot be emulated at this time.
  37.
  38. >What do I do now that I've completed the story?
  39. Work on completing any and all available events, especially those close to end. Grind for materials to unlock higher level caps. Grind for Gear. Play Battle Villa whenever it returns each month. Attempt 7500 runs on Champion Stadium Master Mode. Wait for news and content while shitposting in the general.
  40.
  41. >What are Poke Fairs?
  42. Special banners promoting Champion-tier and highly popular Sync Pairs. They give a 10% chance of rolling a 5* unit (2% for the featured sync pair) so they're the best banners to roll from if you're not looking for anything specific. Sync Pairs such as Cynthia, the Kanto Trio, Steven and Champion Iris are overall amazing and will carry you through a lot of content, especially if they have a high Sync Level.
  43.
  44. >What are Master Fairs?
  45. New super special banners promoting whatever DeNA feels like shilling at the moment. They promote Sync Pairs with special skills that affect the whole team and whose effects increase if the partners share a specific theme (for example being from the same region). They give a whooping 12% chance of rolling a 5* unit, but only a 1%* chance to roll the featured one. Still a great choice to roll if you're not aiming for anything in specific.
  46.
  47. >What are Move Candies and how do I get more?
  48. They increase the sync level of any sync pair you give it to. They're basically a free copy of the character and are sorted by Potential and Role (for example you can only give a 3* Strike Move Candy to a sync pair who was originally 3* before any promotion). 3* and 4* Move Candies are obtainable through monthly events, while 5* Move Candies are exclusive to special and global events, otherwise they can be purchased by trading 20 Move Coins which are obtained through monthly events, Champion Stadium and Battle Villa, between others.
  49.
  50. >What are Battle Points?
  51. New reward system that gives you special items based on the amount of points you collect. The main attractive is that it can be used to unlock new Sync Pairs of characters already in the game using different Pokemon with different skillsets, but along that it also provides great rewards such as Move Candy Coins or 5* Scout Tickets, to mention some. The catch? It will take you around six months to obtain all the currently available rewards since Battle Points are only available as quest rewards from monthly events.
  52.
  53. >Is there a benefit of rolling 11x instead of 1x?
  54. Doing an 11x roll costs 3000 gems while rolling individually costs 300 gems, so you get an extra Sync Pair for free, which also counts for Scout Points to spark a free 5* Sync Pair.
  55.
  56. >How many gems do I need to save to get a guaranteed 5*?
  57. You need 400 Scout Points in order to spark, which translates to 36,600 F2P gems by doing twelve 11x rolls and two 1x rolls (or 36,400 gems if you use 400 paid gems to individually roll for the last four sync pairs, you filthy paypig).
  58.
  59. >I'm stuck on [X]. How do I beat it?
  60. 1. Level up your trainers
  61. 2. Spam Discharge with Hau's Raichu
  62. 3. Roll the gacha
  63. 4. git gud
  64.

  67. 1. Tap the co-op mission you want
  68. 2. Tap "Connect With Friends" and then "Go"
  69. 3. Share the Party Number at the top of the screen in the thread
