 and I know when he's drinking too much and he's open about these things
 and for all he's done for me, this is the least I can do
 his happiness is almost dependent on people around him being happy and content
 he hates it when others are upset
 it's probably the only reason he bothered to put up with me when I was throwing up on his floor and in his lap
 he's at a point where he has no idea what's going to happen to him in the future
 he doesn't know if he'll ever be successful
 or even be able to provide for himself much less anyone else
 He will put up a brave front, and sacrifice almost everything he has to make sure the people he loves are taken care of and won't be ashamed to associate with him
 so I implore you, coming from someone who owes him more than I could possibly know... do not... destroy him
 one of his last girlfriends ripped his heart out and danced on top of its remains
 she actively cheated on him
 despite all he did for her
 she lied to him in his face
 she lied to him despite the fact that he knew what she was doing and he confronted her
 he puts on a smile and moves on
 I cannot let him do that again
 He's Charlie, he'll always put on a smile and move on
 but it's not fair he has to do that
 it's not fair anyone has to do that
