Minty, Birch & yolks

>You are Birch, and you're currently walking towards your kitchen to research on the strange noises coming from there
>even though you can pretty much guess who's making them
>You walk in and as you suspected, you find Minty there, near a pot of boiling water
>She swallows something with glee, letting out a happy moth sound while squirming like she's enjoying something greatly, before putting something into the pot
>You clear your throat and Minty turns her head to look at you, and then smiles happily
>"Hi Birch, do you want some yolks too?"
>You look at your friend funny as you walk to her
"Yolk? As in egg yolk?"
>Minty nods as you walk next to her and take a look at what she's up to in your kitchen
>She's got water in a pot, that's almost boiling, and a tray full of raw egg yolks
>There's one in the pot and Minty picks it up with a spoon and cools it down before slurping the mostly liquid yolk into her mouth
>"Mmmmmmhhh~"
>She gets a vacant expression on her face as she swallows it, breathing out a sigh of satisfaction as some yolk runs down the corner of her mouth
>You watch as your friend shivers slightly with her antennae standing erect, until she returns to normal
>"They're so gooood, you've got to try some"
>Minty puts three yolks into the water as she says this
>You shake your head as Minty already picks one of them up, barely dipping it properly n the hot water
"I'm not sure, is that even healthy?"
>Minty picks up the gooey yolk into her hoof and carefully holds it above her mouth, opening it wide and extending her tongue out
>You can't help but to take notice how...indecent it looks
>The surface of the yolk breaks, all of the warm goo suddenly falling onto Minty's face, making her gasp in surprise
>She slowly turns to look at you with moist eyes and a rosy blush on her face, yolk running down her chin and dripping onto her fluff
>"Biiirch...I made a mess..."
>Even you feel embarrassed and have to look away
"Oh for goodness sake, you shouldn't play with food like that you dummy"
>You grab a towel and start helping your friend clean her face
>Minty closes her eyes and lets out random squeaky sounds as you rub the towel all over her face, not in the most gentle of manners
>Then you move onto her fluff, but Minty takes you by surprise by putting a warm yolk into your mouth she must have taken out of the pot when you were focused on cleaning up her face
>It instantly breaks and your mouth is flooded by warm yolk, making you instantly swallow as much of it as you can before coughing some up so you won't choke on it
>You hack out some of the yolk, some of it dripping onto your fluff as well
>You look at Minty with annoyance
"What are you doing? I almost choked on that!"
>Minty reels back and her antennae droop down
"I just wanted you to taste it...I'm sorry..."
>She hangs her head sadly as you dry the yolk off of your own fluff
>Minty's not lifting her head up and looks like she's about to cry, a d you feel a small pang of guilt for yelling at her
"Minty?"
>Minty refuses to look at you
>"They just tasted so good and I thought you'd like them too..."
>She...she looks more sad than she usually does, usually she'd just spring right back up
>"I'm sorry I always cause trouble for you Birch..."
>She usually is oblivious to that fact, you're starting to feel a bit embarrassed and uncomfortable yourself
"You don't cause trouble for me all the time"
>Minty does not lift her head up and lets out a depressed whimper
>You stare at her in silence for a moment before you take the spoon from the counter and pick up the last yolk in the hot water, and eat it
>This seems to catch Minty's attention as you find her looking at you now, but with her head still hung
"...and I guess they do taste ok"
>Minty gives you a little smile, and you smile back at her
>You then pick up one of the cold yolks into your hoof and suddenly slap it on Minty's back, making the mare jolt and let out a surprised squeak as she arches her back from the sudden cold sensation
>Minty quickly looks at her back, now messy with yolk, and then at you with shock
>You pick up another yolk and grin at her
"Don't look so surprised, or you'll get another one on you!"
>Now Minty lets out a big grin herself as well and hops backwards while grabbing a few yolks at the same time from the bowl
>"It won't be that easy!"
>Minty throws a yolk at you and you dodge it easily, and throw one at her
>Minty barely dodges it and throws the other one she had at you, hitting you right on your face
>"Hahaha Birch you look silly"
>You wipe your face with your hoof and quickly throw a yolk on Minty's face as she's distracted with laughing
>It hits and she falls to her back with her hooves flailing around in surprise, making you laugh in turn at how silly she looks, especially since there's so much yolk on the floor that she slides along the kitchen floor on her back while trashing around
>You fall to the floor laughing, you can't remember when was the last time you saw something this silly
>Minty, still on her back kicks the wall slightly so she spins around and faces you
>But then she kicks herself off using the wall and slides towards you
>You barely have time to dodge her and you end up on your stomach on the floor while Minty uncontrollably slides away from you
>"Hey no fair you dodged!"
>You accidentally kick the kitchen counter and the rest of the yolks fall on top of you
>This makes you squeak in panic and Minty giggle loudly on the floor
>You lift the bowl off of your head and find Minty staring at you with her hooves in front of her mouth, trying her best not to laugh
>You glare at her and suddenly use the wall and kick yourself off towards Minty
>Minty quickly kicks some speed off of a chair and starts escaping you as you chase her, both of you sliding along the floor all over your house
>"You'll never catch me!"
"We'll see about that!"
>Th two of you giggle loudly as the heated chase goes on for a while, but eventually you manage to catch Minty
>But the momentum still goes on and the two of you slide right back into the kitchen, right where most of the yolks fell down
>There's a soft squish as the two of you get tangled up on the floor
>You find your face right next to Minty's and the two of you stare at each other for a brief moment, before both of you erupt into laughter
>After both of you have laughed enough you and Minty both get up
>And then you take notice of the mess the two of you have made
"...wow"
>You just stare at your kitchen and everything else with a vacant expression
>Minty places her hoof on your shoulder with a wet squish and rubs your shoulder
>"Don't worry Birch, I'll help you clean this up"
>You let out a sigh
"Yeah...I really got lost in the moment, such a mess..."
>Suddenly Minty hugs you next to hers, yolk shooting out from between the two of you as your body presses against hers
>"Let's take a shower first, I feel a bit icky"
>You nod your head
"Yes let's do that, I'm starting to feel very icky too"
>Minty lets out a giggle and keeps clinging onto you as the two of you make your way to your bathroom
>You have to admit she feels pleasantly warm compared how cold you fee with your coat wet with egg, and you press yourself more tightly against her as well
>"Is this what Caramel called foodplay?"
>You roll your eyes and shake your head, making some of your wet mane hit Minty and cling onto her coat
"No, that's something different"
>The two of you arrive to your bathroom and Minty peels herself off of you
>"Oh ok. I'll put the shower on"
>Minty goes to the shower and flips it on, and instantly squeaks and jumps into your hooves as she gets splashed with cold water
>Minty lets out an embarrassed giggle while rubbing the back of her head and blushing as you set her down
"Which one of us should go in first?"
>Minty tilts her head to the side in confusion with her antennae twitching with curiosity
>"Can't we both go at the same time?"
>You blush just a little
"We can but it can be a little bit cramped"
>Minty nuzzles her head against you
>"We've got nothing to be embarrassed about, come on let's have a bath together~ We can help each other wash the yolk off of hard to reach places"
>You stare at Minty as she keeps her head pressed against you and blinks her eyes a few times while smiling like she normally does
>She makes a point and you want the yolk off, so you agree with her
"All right, let's have a shower together"
>Minty lets out a tiny victory cheer and skips under the shower and you follow her
>The water has warmed up and the two of you start soaping yourselves up and washing the yolk off
>Halfway through Minty's behind bumps against yours for the seventh time now, making you hug even closer to the wall
>You glance back and find Minty washing her mane, stepping all over the place with her eyes closed and taking up all the space
>You bump her butt with yours and she quickly takes a few steps forward and glances back at you with her ears gradually drooping as a blush starts to form on her cheeks
>"...did you have to do that?"
>You turn to face her and shrug
"You were taking up too much space"
>Minty still looks a bit sour and turns around too and pokes you on your side with her hoof, making you squirm and squeak
"Q-quit that"
>You poke Minty on her side as well and she lets out a squeak as well
>"Birch I'll tickle you!"
>Minty gives you an indignant look
"No I'll tickle you!"
>You pounce your friend and start trying to tickle her
>Minty squirms and tries to resist but you win and soon enough you're tickling her as she laughs loudly
>"B-hahah  Birch st-ahahaahah stop that!"
>But you can tell that she's actually having fun even if she's verbally resisting
"Nopony quits a tickle-fight!"
>You know you're being a bit childish but you're having a lot of fun
>"B-Birch ahahahahaha take this!"
>Suddenly Minty starts tickling you too, her hooves traveling all over your body
>You break out laughing and start squirming, struggling to keep tickling the equally squirmy Minty
"Hahahahah M-hahaha Minty s-stop i-hhaaahahaha"
>"No I won't s-aahahahahahaha stop it unless you do!"
>Neither of you admitting defeat the two of you have a battle of endurance
>After what seems like ages and you almost peeing yourself, the two of you simultaneously crash onto the shower floor, panting out of breath with your bodies twitching every now and then
>That...you're not even sure how you held on for that long, or how Minty did
>"B-birch..."
>You keep panting a while before answering your friend
"Yeah?"
>Minty spins around and crawls into your lap
>"My body aches, can you dry me up?"
>You rest your head against the wall and enjoy how cool it feels like
"If you do the same for me...I didn't know tickling can take away your strength like this"
>The two of you groggily get up and turn the shower off
>You grab two towels, one for you and one for Minty, and the two of you sit down on the floor in front of one another and slowly start drying each other up
>"How will we clean up the rest of the mess?"
>You stop drying Minty, making her pause and shake her head out form within the towel you had on top of her head
>"Birch? What's wrong?"
>You forgot all about the messy state your home is in
"Oh no..."
>You're all out of energy, but that mess must be cleaned
>You start to feel a bit annoyed at yourself for goofing off like that
>You try to get up but you find no strength left in your hooves, you can't even properly stand up
>And then you slip, but instead of falling down Minty catches you
>"Umm...I've got some energy left, and it sort of is my fault...so I can clean it up"
>You push yourself away from Minty and shake your head
"No, it's my house and it's my fault since I did not-"
>You're taken by surprise when Minty picks you up into her hooves, princess style, and takes flight
>"No buts, you're going to rest"
>You open your mouth to say something but Minty has that same look of determination on her face she has when she does a lot of silly things that you can't keep her from doing no matter how much you try
>So instead you let her carry you to you couch and set you down on it
>"Don't worry, I'll have this place cleaned up squeaky clean"
>Minty puffs up her chest proudly, even a bit smugly
>You let out a tired sigh and give Minty a smile
"There's no changing your mind is there?"
>Minty shakes her head while still looking proud
>"No. Besides I had so much fun with you today, we don't play so much together usually"
>You chuckle a little bit
"One of us has to be the voice of reason Minty"
>Minty puts on a goofy face before giggling and turning around
>You stare at the ceiling and think
>Things like these are not bad every now and then
>Even if Minty can be herself most of the time, she's a dear friend
