Dear Emily,

I talk to you tonight in behalf of all the suffragettes.
During all these years we’ve done together, you’ve been my sister in arms Emily. We both worked hard for women’s suffrage, but I think we can say that our fight was far different. While I was leading the Women's Social and Political Union, you fought in the front line by smashing windows, or fire-bombing letterboxes. Then you decided to commit suicide, by throwing yourself under the despised king’s horse. So… so, why have you done that ?! Why have you done that Emily ? I cried a lot, we all cried a lot. But you are not dead in vain Emily.
    Dear Emily, know that, without you, everything will be different in our minds. Know that no-one will forget you Emily. Know that the day we will finally gain women’s right to vote, everyone will be thankful to you Emily. In schools, children will learn your name and remember it. And every day women will vote they will know that if they can do it, it’s thanks to you.
    Dear Emily, you can rest in peace. Farewell.
