  1. [18:44] {NARRATION} At first, the group has their eyes set for New Atlantis- But there are steps to getting to it. The city, while otherwise easily accessible, has a number of countermeasures as to allowing outsiders in. Mainly?
  2.
  3. Any map misses its semi-mobile location, the excessive size of the capital itself being one of the main reasons for that. It was hard to pinpoint where exactly anything was at, but...
  4.
  5. They still had a journey there.
  6.
  7. The group manages to get a ship to transport the landwalkers towards the location. After all, magi were capable of swimming and holding their breath for minutes on end, but these were hours of voyage that they'd have to face!
  8.
  9. A couple hours in?
  10.
  11. They already could not see anything but water.
  12. [18:50] Eztli clings to the side of the boat, amber-pearls locked outwards at the seemingly endless Ocean. He knew not where Atlantis was, and practically left all the heavy-lifting to the other travelers within the group.
  13.
  14. "Are we there yet?" He calls over his shoulder towards Mori.
  15.
  16. They'd been out at sea for more then a few hours, and sea-sickness was slowly beginning to creep up on the poor Beastkin. How much longer until they were there.
  17. (Eztli Meztin)
  18. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19.
  20. [18:51] … Two Razuka missing.
  21.
  22. The frown's apparent on his mug even as they make headway onto the ship. Trekking what's pretty much a burlap sack full of three pieces of armor he almost has a wistful gaze held solely on the shoreline. Even as it drifts off into the distance he swore he could've saw his brother or Gwyn pop up.
  23.
  24. Well, their king would relay the venture's tale.
  25.
  26. Taking a lengthy drag of his cigarette he remains propped against the ship's backend. The burlap sack remains settled nearby, sienna beads squinting over the railing from his stunted height.
  27.
  28. Should a ciggie die out, he'd switch it for the next. The beaten silver tin was absolutely running out of its reserves as the hours crawled on by - A pity his family wasn't here, but the tinkerer would make due with the companions he had here.
  29.
  30. "'ow deep s'this 'gain?" An idle query, really, to help his mind off of things.
  31. (Charlie)
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  33.
  34. [18:52] Blight could appreciate their surroundings. It had been some time since they had gone on a voyage like this, and Blight were keen on making the most of such.
  35.
  36. They stood beside one of the ships sails, leaned up against it. They didn't make any remark, keeping to themselves and staring out to the sea, gaze rolling along the horizon in appreciation.
  37.
  38.
  39. (Blight Reave)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [18:53] It wasn't everyday that one got to go on these sort of adventures. Yet she couldn't possibly turn down an opportunity to do so. Even if - she was somewhat useless at sea.
  43.
  44. Her visage a sour blue, as she concentrated on the flat horizon. Her hands supporting her at the side of the boat.
  45.
  46. "Boats... Not my speciality."
  47.
  48. A moment of defeat as she held back sea-sickness to the best of her ability. She wasn't sure how much longer this will go on for, but she had to stay strong.
  49.
  50. She couldn't give in! This was only the beginning.
  51.
  52. "I j-just hope we get there soon."
  53. (Ariel Cirque)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [18:58] There was a slight pause from the sirenian. Anything was possible here truthfully. But in that matter? What else would they even do. Staring down at the ocean waves with a half smile caked upon their face as they shifted their gaze to those gathered around them.
  57.
  58.
  59. Where they there yet? By the deep they truly where. Well, partly. And with a single hand pointed downwards towards the water. All they gave was a crooked smile. "We are here, we just need da' jump off da' ship and swim downward. Nothin' hard about that right?"
  60.
  61. A couple hours may have passed, but this still was the way to go. All the way down to the deep. But for Charlies question? A mere shrug was given. "Probably...about five- six thousand feet below da' water? Give or take. It does rest close ta' da' bottom."
  62.
  63. That was only an estimation anyway, he wasn't good at math.
  64. (Mori Reave)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [19:03] {NARRATION} They were indeed getting there- This was already part of the rumored location of New Atlantis, but not the bank they were supposed to find. There was the occasional movement beneath the waves on the horizon, a few seagulls or small islands in their view.
  68.
  69. All in all? It was rather peaceful, even with the occasional wave hitting against the ship's side with admirable strength.
  70.
  71. That is, until the sky grows dark. They were just minutes away from their final destination, but it seemed the city not only had magic on its side-
  72.
  73. Nature was also helping protect it against those outsiders.
  74.
  75. A gigantic bird flies over their head, its massive wingspan enough to cover the entire ship with just a single wing, bright yellow eyes settling down on the group, before it promptly dives towards them-
  76.
  77. At first, it misses, but the wind shockwave propels the ship forward quite considerably, and even damaging the hull! Then, it rises up to the skies again, its shadow encompassing the crew once again, and preparing to dive.
  78. [19:08] {Item} You drop Big Boy Stat Stick.
  79. [19:08] {Item} You picked up Big Boy Stat Stick. Dropped by Roc..
  80. [19:12] It stood to reason that something would go wrong before they'd even reached their location - it was practically a law of nature at this point or something. "Oh great..."
  81.
  82. As the bird flew past, narrowly missing the group - Eztli would end up sliding along the end, almost blown completely overboard by the shock-wave generated by the wings.
  83.
  84. "Well... isn't that a sight,"
  85.
  86. The creature was much too large to be considered normal. Perhaps some lost species of some kind. Whatever the case may be, Eztli couldn't help but be inspired by what he saw.
  87.
  88. He quickly reaches into his pocket to pull out a notebook and quill, very quickly and shakily documenting everything he could about the bird - it's size, it's approximate wing-span, even its choice for food. Which might just happen to be humans!
  89.
  90. Once he's happy everything has been sufficiently documented, he places the note-book back into his pocket, only to replace it with the giant war-fan once strapped to his back.
  91.
  92. "It's either us or it, someone shoot it out of the sky,"
  93.
  94. He gets into a stance, preparing for the birds descent.
  95. (Eztli Meztin)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [19:12] Hour by hour the sea is drifted upon, and honestly? It feels a little lonely despite the company. Plucking the cancer stick from between his lips he'd crouch down to begin looking over the equipment he'd brought. While this'd be a field test, he was surely hoping he wouldn't be dealing with a poor set...
  99.
  100. A few thousand? There came a brief shudder of the Razuka's frame. "Metaphysical runes should 'elp out the suits, then..." Grumbling to himself he's utterly absorbed in his double checking!
  101.
  102. Yet, night does fall, and he's damn near ready to turn in to do his nightly ritual. That, of course, is held secret, yet-
  103.
  104. The beating of wings rests upon those rounded, lengthy ears. Gilded shades squint up towards the literal building of a bird as it divebombs towards them. "'EY WHAT THE F--" The boat lurches forward, the Razuka tucking and rolling to prepare a return fire.
  105.
  106. "WHY THE 'EL S'IT OUT THIS FAR!? N'AIN'T BIRDS 'SPOSED TA BE NEAR LAND!?" With a squeaking hiss an illusory duplicate peels from his form. "GET RID OF 'ER!" ing Outfall he'd level it up towards the Roc as best he could.
  107. (Charlie)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [19:12] It were peaceful; all until the sun had set. The ocean's fury seemed to grow with the dusk that encompassed them, all before they heard a sound closing in, something beyond the rhythmic crashes of wave.
  111.
  112. The air thrummed louder and louder, drawing the gaze of Blight, seeing those fierce golden eyes that glared at them with predatory malice. Blight can be seen wrapping their arm around one of the sails, yelling out;
  113.
  114. "Above us! Brace!"
  115.
  116. Then, the shockwave hit; sending Blight into an unbalanced stumble, before catching their footing once more. Their rifle were aimed upwards, a golden and white light beginning to encompass the barrel. They aim, prepared to direct a beam of light into the bird's eyes if it were to dive again! Perhaps it would redirect them upon their approach.
  117. (Blight Reave)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [19:13] The rocking of the boat was starting to rock Ariel into a sickly sleep. It was all so nauseating... Yet as her eyes begin to shut she sees something on the horizon. Large wings shadowed over them, as a furious bird swooped down on them.
  121.
  122. "W-Woah!" The violent rocking knocked her to her feet, drawing her staff.
  123.
  124. "Huge... Bird!" She announced, tracking the swift movements of the bird. She never thought that such a creature would be found out here - perhaps protecting something.
  125.
  126. As the bird ascended once again - Ariel's hands weave before her as she Manifested a crystal spear. Flames scorched at its tip as she drew it back and threw it forward -
  127.
  128. Aiming at the swopping bird.
  129.
  130. She couldn't afford to miss!
  131. (Ariel Cirque)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [19:16] Ah, the sea. Everything inside it was perfect. The air, the land, the gigantic birds that flew over head- Gigantic birds? There was something in it that made the Reaver wince truthfully before letting out a small sigh.
  135.
  136. Well, that was one way to start things off. To shoot it out of the sky....or to not truthfully. A parting before lighting the once famous cig he had upon his person while turning towards the rest of them. An obvious, obvious choice of things.
  137.
  138.
  139. "This? Is da' sea...its huntin' season boys! Lets get us somethin' ta' cook up reaaal, good. What da' ya' say? Drumsticks are good too."
  140.
  141. It seemed everyone was in line, and with it? It was time to capture a giant bird, or...maybe cook it up and serve it to everyone here. Either option worked.
  142. (Mori Reave)
  143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144.
  145. [19:24] {Lost Restrained RPB against Mori Reave}
  146. [19:31] Ariel Cirque says, "I should've probably had my Aura on.."
  147. [19:35] {Lost Restrained RPB against Charlie}
  148. [19:36] {NARRATION} (Rolls!
  149.
  150. Mori 3x
  151. Ariel 2x
  152. Blight 2x
  153. Eztli 1x
  154. Charlie 1x
  155. [19:41] Mori Reave says, "oh god"
  156. [19:49] {NARRATION} Charlie: 12-day temp
  157. Eztli: 12-day temp
  158. Blight: -10 perm <- rolled a 1
  159. Ariel: -10 perm <- 3 and 3, two 12-day temps stacked, becomes a perm
  160. Mori: -10 perm <- same as ariel
  161. [19:59] {NARRATION} The battle against the Roc nearly capsizes the ship- It is obvious that if it wasn't for the presence of FIVE magi, it would easily have torn the entire thing apart. Perhaps this also explained why this route was often avoided by pirates and others!
  162.
  163. As a result? The group is left battered.
  164.
  165. Mori himself seems to bear most of the strikes of the roc's cosmic winds, tearing him apart in a quite literal sense- One of its talons scratch over his guts, and the winds seem to only push the wound further open. If it was just slightly worse? He'd likely been gutted open by now.
  166.
  167. Blight and Charlie suffer a similar fate, except exclusively under the punishing lightning of the Roc's beak, crackling over his skin and leaving a rather nasty scar all over his chest.
  168.
  169. Ariel suffers a cosmic infusion that digs deep into her essence, pushing through to a point where it affects her very being- While it is a sensation that would otherwise be empowering, it is still another being's energy infused into her, and one that she can't quite manipulate herself.
  170.
  171. Eztli finds himself in some more luck, able to eventually flush out said essence- But it'd still take some time.
  172.
  173. If it wasn't for his strike at the very end saving the entire group?
  174.
  175. They'd likely be going through much worse.
  176.
  177. (Eztli, you can choose how you kill the roc)
  178. [19:59] {Item} You drop Roc's Eyes.
  179. [20:08] Ariel had to get off the boat in order to be able to compete with the Bird's agility. She dove off the ship and summoned forth a surf board. It gripped it tightly before pushing forward and pushing jet flames out of her palms.
  180.
  181. She thrusted forward, punching and weaving areal attacks at the Creature. The world around Roc forced itself in, battering and breaking it down. When it swopped down, water itself crystallised to form walls to block it.
  182.
  183. Ariel returned to the ship, as she strikes out towards the Bird once more. Yet cosmic energy brought through her assault and infused her spirit. Two became one, and Ariel was left in a somewhat jumble.
  184.
  185. The spirit tipping the scales of her own spirit. Her hand weaved forward to retreat watching Eztli save them all..
  186.
  187. She braced for the worst to happen now.
  188.
  189. All of them sustained some sort of injury, even if minor. It really set the tone - and Ariel was left unsure of how she was going to deal with this.
  190.
  191. What would happen of the infusion within?
  192.
  193. Would she be able to learn to control it?
  194.
  195. (Ariel Cirque)
  196. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  197.
  198. [20:09] This wasn't what he signed up for - Especially without his KIN nearby.
  199.
  200. Gunshots ring off one after the other as he tries to remain within the shadows. Low mutters escape him, curses growling outwards as he reloads Outfall here and there. His clone, while partially effective, doesn't bring him any actual respite.
  201.
  202. Darting from cover to cover he can barely gain any time to actually rest up. Teeth grit, blood spills from open wounds to whip the bird away, but ultimately it's not enough alone.
  203.
  204. The Roc was Helish.
  205.
  206. Lightning strikes against his frame, a sharp screech escaping him as he darts off towards cover. Bluesteel could only keep himself so guarded and by all means it would leave a nasty scar.
  207.
  208. "Fuckin'-- FUCKIN' THIS AIN'T DIVIN', MORI!" Charlie croaked on out under the beating of wings-- Did Eztli strike it down? The Razuka didn't care, no, hewas far too focused on looking over his own frame.
  209.
  210. Huffing and puffing a snarl pulls onto his mug. "Wanted feckin' COIN... Got ZAPPED."
  211. (Charlie)
  212. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  213.
  214. [20:10] The party weren't even in Atlantis yet, and they were already fighting for their lives against beasts that had no right in being as big as they were.
  215.
  216. Had this been on normal ground, he'd have perhaps been capable of much more then what he was dishing out. But even then, he still gave it his all. As much as he could give anyway.
  217.
  218. Cosmic energy radiates around his being, Vrona's light empowering his body and magics as he fired off blood and flame both. Making a conscious effort to avoid the talons of the mighty creature whenever it deigned to swoop low and claw at them.
  219.
  220. It was a tough fight, the bird capable of much more then mere physical attacks, and the group paid the price for it. With the creature infusing its own Cosmic energy into the Ookami's being, the foreign Mana burning his circuits in their entirety.
  221.
  222. Though before it burned him out completely, Eztli would lunge towards it in Cosmic radiance, just as it got near to the deck. And in one blinding-flash motion, he would tear out the bird's eyes. The orbs left wholly in-tact as he gripped them.
  223.
  224. With no eyes to see, Roc's massive form would drop onto the deck - upon which Eztli cruely snapped its neck and put it out of its misery.
  225.
  226. "Uh-... Mori, do you eat bird?" He asks, wiping himself down.
  227.
  228. If this was what greeted them above the ocean. Then he was almost scared to find out what waited for them below.
  229. (Eztli Meztin)
  230. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  231.
  232. [20:12] Roc's of the sea, where a blatant hazard to all sirenians. Not just to their kind, to all sea faring folks. Yet here this is painful. Battling against the cosmic winds was more than fearful. It was a bit more than the Sirenian could actually ask for.
  233.
  234. The ship almost capsized. Almost. But battling upon a ship with the five of them? If they hadn't been here they might have all been torn apart. Literally, well....He was an exception. Did birds have a normal sense to hunt down Sirenians? Every claw of the Roc was battered and slashed against with that sanguine blade of his before he swung too high.
  235.
  236. And its talons dug in deep. Deep enough to open a wood over his most precious thing. His abs, his gut, until its blade cutter winds pushed it open further. Causing the sirenian to drop instantly to cover the wound with his hands. Howling and letting out curses into the air. Upon the Roc's grave.
  237.
  238.
  239. Grumbling from his position on the ground all he could muster was a pained growl towards Charlie. "Ya' got zapped...try gettin' nearly fuckin' GUTTED."
  240.
  241. A weeze came through before the sirenian laid there for a few more moments before slowly slinking out of their jacket. Tearing it to shreds in the shape of a makeshift bandage across his newly opened wound. He wasn't a medic, but truthfully? As long as he kept his guts in until he found a medic he could live.
  242.
  243. "I think Rupert does..but, I don't think I want ta' talk about eatin' with ma' gut wound."
  244. (Mori Reave)
  245. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  246.
  247. [20:17] Blight did their best to aid in the redirection of the titan sized bird; shooting spores and blasts of light in an effort to help their comrade's get in their strikes. Blight closed distance with the bird on many times, and eventually, it wore down at the boy.
  248.
  249. Seeing Mori drop; a defensive maneuver was taken to cover their brother, which ended sour for the siren. A nasty shock struck Blight, causing their chest to explode with a mist of burnt skin; raw flesh exposed in its emerald hue visible in a shape not unlike a spider-webs.
  250.
  251. It took Blight to their knee, and not long after, Eztli seemed to take the beast down, it landing on the deck of the vessel. Blight could only serve to look up; and back at their brother.
  252.
  253. Rising to their feet, Blight can be seen calmly removing their overcoat, leaving them topless. Nothing could be done for the wound; it just needed to scab for the bleeding to halt. Pressure would be counterproductive.
  254.
  255. They didn't comment.
  256. (Blight Reave)
  257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  258.
  259. [20:24] {NARRATION} Well, the group eventually finds their way out of that... Bird. It was dead and on their ship, even as its weight continued to push it down- Something that the other, non-magi crewmembers would have to deal with!
  260.
  261. Still, they were close enough to the destination that now the just-as-much-non-magi navigator went over to the group. "A'ight. 'tis the place, ye just gotta go down 'ere and find some door."
  262.
  263. Where?
  264.
  265. How?
  266.
  267. That's their problem. The ocean was filled with plenty of mysteries where the light didn't get to, after all. "Jus' be careful. T'ocean's 'ome to a buncha shite."
  268.
  269. Finally, it was time for them to go down!
  270. [20:30] She eyed the corpse of the defeated. The cruel cycle of nature, where the boldly weak would suffer the consequences. Her shoulders rolled as she stumbled over to the others atop the boat. The corpse was not their problem to deal with, they had to move on.
  271.
  272. "We're here... Great." She eyed the open ocean. They still seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. "Oh! Right, it's probably under water.." She hummed, and looked over the edge of the boat.
  273.
  274. "I can probably make some sort of face-mask with Crystals... Not sure how long I can last under water." Ariel's hands swirled before her in an attempt to put something together.
  275.
  276.
  277. (Ariel Cirque)
  278. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  279.
  280. [20:31] While it's a bitch to move with a hefty burn on one's chest, the Razuka merely pulls himself up with a groan. An annoyed glare is shot towards the corpse of the bird before he merely begins trudging off towards the burlap sack he'd stowed.
  281.
  282. "N'ain't 'appy 'bout this... Not one bit," Charlie hissed. Bits and bobs are retrieved from the sack - A glass dome no less, fitted specifically for a Razuka's head and ears... Hel, it'd been made to fit to his armor.
  283.
  284. Placing it atop his head he'd take a brief pause to look over his work. Runes dance along the inner band of Mythril - Green, white, and blue. Air, metaphysical, and water.
  285.
  286. All to just breathe underwater.
  287.
  288. Sparing a brief glance towards the others he'd press his lips into a soft line. "... N'ain't make 'ny that ain't Razuka-made, sadly." How unthoughtful!
  289. (Charlie)
  290. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  291.
  292. [20:34] The giant bird was the crewmembers problem, as for right now their focus was on what lay beneath the Ocean waves. Despite the over-surge of his mana-circuits, Eztli would push on - the pain he felt given as little piece of mind as he could give it.
  293.
  294. With a wobble to his step, he'd approach one side of the deck, clawed digits gripping tightly on the railings as he looked below. "It's only down from here..."
  295.
  296. Now he just needed to figure out how not to drown.
  297.
  298. "Guess I can make some air Bubbles in the water," No doubt he'd need bring a-lot of them down with him, enough to last him a few hours since only the Spirits knew how long they'd be down there.
  299.
  300. Either way, he was ready to dive once everyone else was.
  301. (Eztli Meztin)
  302. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  303.
  304. [20:34] A painful nod was given towards Blight in truth. A painful reminder that it, the open ocean. Something he found himself less, and less keen on being apart of. Slowly rising with the help of Blight's assistance for his gut wound he tied it tight around him. Staining his academy jacket. At least he chose black for it..
  305.
  306. That would mean no one could see him bleed further. A mere nod was given to the magi navigator as they made sure to pay them all before hand. This, was the final answer to Charlie's previous question.
  307.
  308.
  309. "...Right, now this is were we go divin' ta' da' deeps...Ya' all can see underwater right? If not then, well-..." There was a slight pause as the sirenan shrugged and gave them all a crooked smile, even with his gut wound. He slightly found it comical.
  310.
  311. "...Right, shit we got-...No breathin' gear fer da' rest of ya'. Kinda slipped ma' mind ya' weren't Sirenians...nor water magi. We'll-....we'll move at a slower pace considerin' me and ma' brother here kinda...belong in da' ocean." a half shrug did follow suit before everyone else was given a thumbs up.
  312.
  313. "See ya' all in da' water! Can't help ya' breath ta' be honest." With his unhelpful words the sirenian quite literally threw themselves overboard.
  314.
  315.
  316. Que the sirenian transformation of course...
  317. (Mori Reave)
  318. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  319.
  320. [20:34] Blight had torn their attention away from the bird not long after its execution, a disinterested stare now turning out to the distance as they approach the edge of the ship. Their gaze lowered now, beginning to peer into the depths. There were a silent contemplation form the shark, who idle stared downwards.
  321.
  322. This were it. The talk of new and old Atlantis had evolved from just being talk within the Reave family. No; a miles and miles below them rested the answer. Arguably, one of the biggest achievements the brothers would face.
  323.
  324. Their gaze tears itself away from the depths, if only to turn to Mori.
  325.
  326. "This is it, Mori. Ya ready? Too late ta get cold feet."
  327.
  328. "I'll meet ya down there. Don't be too long."
  329.
  330. Eager; Blight had already begun to step up onto the rail of the ship, allowing themselves to turn to face the group once more. Their gills flare out upon their neck, and fins upon their arms and spine would become much more prevalent in their sleek profile.
  331.
  332. Only for Blight to fall backwards with a cackle of excitement, allowing their form to plummet into the depths below.
  333. (Blight Reave)
  334. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  335.
  336. [20:40] {NARRATION} The instruction was well followed, at least- It seemed that the deeper they went, the darker it became, until eventually there was nothing to be seen, except a natural lighting at the very ocean's floor.
  337.
  338. Revealing but a single door at the very bottom, lying against the rock that led into the continental plate. It was a safe spot and probably not the actual entrance- Who knew where they could get otherwise? But it seemed that it escaped the magical shrouding of Sirenia.
  339.
  340. And more impotantly, it wasn't guarded.
  341.
  342. Now, all they had to do is get through the door. It doesn't seem too rigid or its lock hard to pick - But there is only a massive, horizontal stone slab that keeps both pieces from moving apart from each other and opening into the hall underneath.
  343.
  344. Now, how would they get through it?
  345. [20:45] The air-mask was snug around her mouth. Her hands swept through the water to swim deeper and deeper. "I can try provide some light." Ariel would suggest as she conjured forth multiple crystals inside of which a flame would be held.
  346.
  347. The flame flickered within the darkened abyss of the deep, illuminating the door as they came into view of it.
  348.
  349. "So what do we do about the door? We could try to force it open... Or else there could be something hidden around here to do so." Ariel would begin to investigate the area around the door for potential clues.
  350. (Ariel Cirque)
  351. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  352.
  353. [20:46] "Anyone want ta' help move a stone slab? I'd honestly give it a go but...I might need someone ta' keep ma' guts from spillin' out." Thankfully they could still talk and breath underwater. A truly blessed blessing as the sirenian swirled around in the water. Blinking towards the others in question as they motioned towards the stone slab.
  354.
  355. Sure there wasn't danger here. But they all had perhaps the slight issue of being this far deep underwater, the pressure shouldn't be too bad for them right?
  356.
  357. But for now? If they did agree to it...he'd at least attempt to push the stone slab out of the way.
  358. (Mori Reave)
  359. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  360.
  361. [20:46] Down they all went, Eztli flailing his arms to and fro as he struggled to follow on behind the group. He wasn't the best swimmer in the world, basic at best. So much so, that he'd have likely drowned upon entering the water if it wasn't for him being a Water Magi.
  362.
  363. Still, he swam on - the light from above quickly fading into obscurity until all that surrounded them was darkness and the-... quickly growing artificial light from below.
  364.
  365. Soon enough, they were greeted with the sight of a door, a metal slab the only thing preventing it from opening. The only problem was, it was huge!
  366.
  367. "..."
  368.
  369. He refrains from talking, if only in a bid to conserve as much air as possible.
  370. (Eztli Meztin)
  371. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  372.
  373. [20:46] It's a field test - a risky one at that - but it's one he's more than happy to jump into. Relenting one last settling sigh to his fate he'd drop right off the edge of the ship... Sinking, easily, down into the depths as it went.
  374.
  375. Now which fish was Mori?
  376.
  377. Clenching his jaw he'd eye those that surrounded him, at least taking note of the Reaves heading on down. Bending the water around him he'd begin following along. Honestly, it's a blessed thing to be a Razuka in such climates - While he's not easily keeping up with the Sirenians he's at least making decent pace.
  378.
  379. Once they reach the doors he'd knit his brows. A glance is spared to his compatriots and, of course, he draws out his lockpicks. There's almost an inquisitive tilt of his head towards the gathered as he motioned towards the door.
  380.
  381. Lest someone else have an idea he'd try to pick it...
  382.
  383. "Could pick it, n'ain't 'posed ta. Shouldn't be too 'ard… S'up ta ya all in the end, though."
  384. (Charlie)
  385. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  386.
  387. [20:51] A flurry of kicks guides the sirenian through the freezing ocean water, salt staining their gills. The sensation of diving like this were something the sirenian hadn't felt in quite some time, so they relished in the opportunity. Slowly, the group were faced with but another obstacle in their way of the door; a slab that were large enough to prove a difficult counterweight.
  388.
  389. Soon after, they serve to approach the rock; inspecting its surroundings. Perhaps there were a way around it, as opposed to brutishly getting through.
  390.
  391. "...Look fer an alternative. Worst case scenario, we move tha rock; lighter than it looks, underwater."
  392. (Blight Reave)
  393. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  394.
  395. [20:51] Blight Reave asks, "any alternative pathways/objects of note?"
  396. [20:52] Charlie says, "... I mean, I could try ta 'elp with movin' the fuckin' thing."
  397. [20:52] Ariel Cirque asks, "Do you think the door is locked?"
  398. [20:53] Ariel Cirque says, "I can try picking the lock after."
  399. [20:53] Ariel Cirque says, "Or just destroying it.."
  400. [20:53] Charlie says, "... I can prolly do the lock, 'onestly."
  401. [20:53] Charlie says, "N'ain't built for strength, more so for fuckin' runnin'."
  402. [20:54] Blight Reave says, "....Mori, Eztli, Ariel. Us four'll lift th' thing, Charlie 'll pick th'lock."
  403. [20:54] Mori Reave says, "...I can try ta' lift da' damn thin'."
  404. [20:55] Ariel Cirque says, "Sure."
  405. [20:55] Blight Reave says, "If y'feel like yer goin ta give yerself a hernia, call 'er quits, Mori."
  406. [20:55] Blight Reave says, "Ya need yer stomach."
  407. [20:56] Mori Reave says, "Ya' right. I'm good ta' go."
  408. [20:56] With that much said, Blight kicks over to the furthest edge of the slab, bracing their feet against the door and resting their hands under the rock.
  409. (Blight Reave)
  410. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  411.
  412. [20:57] Ariel approaches the slap and grabs its bottom portions. Flames formed at her feet and jetted her upwards as she began to try and lift the slab with the others!
  413. (Ariel Cirque)
  414. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  415.
  416. [20:57] Mori Reave says, "our luck is"
  417. [20:59] Blight Reave says, "i want its skin"
  418. [21:01] {NARRATION} The group moves the rock! Picking the lock itself is marginally easy, but it just happens that moving the rock makes... A lot of noise, specially when it drops against the ground. The rumbling spreads through the ocean, and just as surely as water conducts sound better than air, it does by now.
  419.
  420. It is absurdly loud, and eventually, a clicking noise erupts behind them while the lock is being picked. Within the light-starved abyssal depths, two lone eyes erupt in a flash of light, revealing a bony, starved and most importantly GIGANTIC fish.
  421.
  422. Not as huge as the Roc, but enough that its jaws certainly are more than enough to fit one of them whole.
  423. [21:03] {Item} You drop Big Boy Stat Stick.
  424. [21:04] {Item} You picked up Big Boy Stat Stick. Dropped by Hungered Behemoth..
  425. [21:05] He loved picking locks, so much so that he might've just screwed up a smidge when finding the pins. While a soft hum is adopted into his throat he'd find himself glancing briefly over his shoulder at the clicking noise.
  426.
  427. Charlie merely freezes in his lockpicking like a child being caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
  428.
  429. "... Ya all got that." Spoken simply, cooly even, as he turned back to the lock at hand. An illusory duplicate does part from him, don't mistake it! By all means he does worry about getting munched by the larger, bonier fish.
  430.
  431. "Aaaalmost done..."
  432. (Charlie)
  433. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  434.
  435. [21:05] Blight were in the perfect position to see the fish; that loud clicking sound giving the creature away. Light began to surge from Blight's form; casting a spotlight onto the creature. The bony, translucent figure were illuminated for the group to see.
  436.
  437. The shark's rifle wouldn't be much use underwater; but this environment were the perfect fighting grounds for Blight; at home, one might be able to argue. They brace themselves, ethereal energies beginning to surge outwards in manifestation.
  438.
  439. Aside from the light given off by the group; they were surrounded by absolute darkness. Blight found some comfort in that much, at least.
  440. (Blight Reave)
  441. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  442.
  443. [21:06] {Item} You drop Big Boy Stat Stick.
  444. [21:06] {Item} You picked up Big Boy Stat Stick. Dropped by Hungered Behemoth..
  445. [21:07] Her arms felt straight as they continued to pull the slab up. Yet their combined efforts managed to do so with some ease. The slab fell to the ocean floor and roll rumbling sounds throughout the ocean floor. Her body tensed, as the clicking would come from the shadows.
  446.
  447. She felt at a disadvantage, fighting within water and she had to adapt. To give herself some more maneuverability, fire began to spark below her feet.
  448.
  449. "Creepy.. He looks pretty hungry, and I bet it's going to come right at us.." Her hand gestured forward and swirled her staff through the water.
  450.
  451. "Do you think it'll fit if we go through the door?"
  452.
  453.
  454. (Ariel Cirque)
  455. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  456.
  457. [21:09] Fish, boney and gigantic. That, oh boy...at least it wasn't a Roc. But, this? The sound it made was deafening. That, was one loud noise.
  458.
  459. But what came from beneath it? Was...something else. That, was certainly not what they planned for at all. Hopefully...just maybe they could get rid of it. But another thought crossed his mind.
  460.
  461. Could he hook it like a fish? Maybe! But...he currently was holding part of his guts in with one hand, mana flowing through the bottle in his pocket, and a hand underwater. This was...tricky.
  462.
  463. "Y'know...honestly? Considerin' how big da' door is? It...can more than likely fit through da' damn thing. However-....even I don't know what ta' do with it. Charlies still pickin' da' lock. Aaand...we probably need ta' stall it fer Charlie."
  464.
  465. A slight sigh before shaking his head slightly. It was now or never, maybe this thing wouldn't take a bloody piece of his gut. "Lets just-...stall and distract da' thing."
  466. (Mori Reave)
  467. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  468.
  469. [21:10] {NARRATION} Blight, however, managed to make sure of one thing at the very least. Shining brightly in such a case was definitely a solution- Which meant that, at least, they could easily see who was the first target the fish settled for!
  470. [21:15] Blight, now, as opposed to making themselves a human torch, would begin casting their light out into several other directions; using the refraction from the water to illuminate other aspects of the ocean around them in a vain effort of disorientation! And self preservation!
  471. (Blight Reave)
  472. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  473.
  474. [21:18] {Lost Restrained RPB against Blight Reave}
  475. [21:22] Blight Reave says, "i was gonna die if i didnt"
  476. [21:23] {NARRATION} (Charlie: 12-day temp
  477. Eztli: 12-day temp
  478. Blight: -10 perm, 4-day temp, 1-day temp
  479. Ariel: -10 perm
  480. Mori: -10 perm, 12-day temp
  481.
  482. Wounds so far!)
  483. [21:26] {NARRATION} The behemoth manages to keep up with the group- Although it is by no means as ferocious as the Roc, it is still as fearsome. Specially given that its sights settle on Blight, who manages to make a good work swimming around while the group took care of it.
  484.
  485. The light magic that emanated from the hungered fish's eyes managed to blind Mori temporarily with a direct hit to the eyes - For quite a while, he'd be overly sensitive to any source of light, but in this deep dark? It did not matter.
  486.
  487. The depths welcomed him in this case.
  488.
  489. Blight, however, is nearly chewed by the creature. A couple of times, it manages to grab ahold of him between jaws, but such eventually gets loose and he manages to avoid- While his body is chewed and the scars are there, they're nothing too severe for any magi.
  490.
  491. Thankfully, Charlie (or his illusory clone) manage to strike down the beast in the end, just on time for the door to be finally unlocked!
  492. [21:26] {Item} You drop Behemoth's Bone.
  493. [21:32] Ariel speedily manoeuvred around the ocean floor, guiding herself away from the direct beams of light that the creature expelled out towards them. She dove and wove through the attacks and countered.
  494.
  495. Shrapnel of crystals turreted forward. Blasting at the skeleton exposure and bursting into sizzling flames.
  496.
  497. Crystals erupted from the ground below to slow the Monsters assault in an attempt to keep herself and her allies safe.
  498.
  499. "Blight are you OKAY?!" She moved towards him, trying to assist him in some capacity. He was chewed up pretty badly.
  500. (Ariel Cirque)
  501. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  502.
  503. [21:32] It's not hard to hear the blasts of light magic and the crashing of the behemoth nearby him. Really, he'd love to help! It's his illusory duplicate that's doing most of the grunt work, however, and with a satisfied hum in his throat he'd tap his foot to an unheard beat.
  504.
  505. A pin, another pin...
  506.
  507. A pick breaks and there came the muffled sound of the clicking of his tongue.
  508.
  509. "Fuckin'-..." There's a glance paid towards the behemoth behind them as it snags a part of their ragtag group. With a low groan Outfall is leveled and the knife upon his hip is procured. A singular slit is drawn across his arm, the spilling of crimson edging outwards into the stinging waters.
  510.
  511. Absence of words is held as the congealing blood hardens into a mist of pressurized needles. Squeezing the trigger no bullet flies, no, but the mist of needles? It aims to shred the behemoth to mere fragments of what it once was.
  512.
  513. Sharply exhaling, the dome fogging up, he'd turn back to quickly finish his job. Tearing the lock away once the last pin is pressed upwards he'd cast it aside.
  514.
  515. … Yet, the bone that drifts to the ground nearby him is eyed for a time. Lest someone snatch it the Razuka's greedy tendencies does lean him towards picking it up...
  516. (Charlie)
  517. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  518.
  519. [21:33] Usually light would be good down here in the depths of the sea. But here? Accidently catching the sight of the Behemoths eyes? Nearly blinded the sirenian. Not nearly, perfectly blinded him.
  520.
  521. At least the darkness of the ocean welcomed him. And then again, so to did the void...at least not yet. But with the door finally open? The sirenian finally rushed towards it.
  522.
  523. "Fuck, ma' eyes...wait, i'm in da' dark. This is fine. Completely fine." Skidding to a slight Hault before soon turning towards his brother. Rushing towards his side which was a bit faster due to the fact of the water.
  524.
  525. "Lets get ya' inside brother...and get da' damn door shut too."
  526. (Mori Reave)
  527. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  528.
  529. [21:34] Fighting underwater was much worse then fighting on the deck of the ship. His body was simply just unused to added pressure of the water and the slowness of his body.
  530.
  531. But even with everything working against him, Water was his element - and he could manipulate it however he saw fit.
  532.
  533. In this case, it was compressed into whip-like structures, the liquid taking on a reddish hue as blood trickled into it. And with this whip-like blades - he'd slash at the creature, whittling away at it as best as he was able.
  534.
  535. Eventually it's felled thanks to the Rat-King, and they can proceed.
  536.
  537. "..."
  538.
  539. Again no words were shared. He didn't want to use up that precious oxygen.
  540. (Eztli Meztin)
  541. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  542.
  543. [21:36] Live bait a second time in their life; Blight surely weren't a scourge of the seas. Their primary objective in the fight were to distract the creature while the other's took their shots at it. Many times, the fish managed to grab hold of blight, ushering loud roars from the boy; going to extents like clawing at its eye to escape.
  544.
  545. Thankfully, twice, Blight manages to escape from the jaws of the being, continuing to guide it around and resort to evasive maneuvers.
  546.
  547. And with a strike from Charlie,
  548.
  549. A smog of emerald ichor clouded the water surrounding Blight. Where their chest still bled from being exploded, now deep gouges littered his body, tainting and chumming the water.
  550.
  551. Blight seemed all too aware of that fact; and a dire expression crosses his gaze.
  552.
  553. "We need ta get in there, now. This much commotion's boun' ta bring more company."
  554.
  555. Their gaze drifts to their side, at Ariel.
  556.
  557. "I'll live... We'd best get goin, now." A nod of appreciation is shown to the girl.
  558.
  559. Pain stained the siren's complexion in the form of a dark scowl, turning their gaze to the doors. They aim to approach such, albeit their movements staggered, to begin opening one of the doors.
  560. (Blight Reave)
  561. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  562.
  563. [21:38] Live bait a second time in their life; Blight surely weren't a scourge of the seas. 564.
  565. Thankfully, twice, Blight manages to escape from the jaws of the being, continuing to guide it around and resort to evasive maneuvers.
  566.
  567. And with a strike from Charlie, the fish had been torn to shreds, a crimson mist littering the space where the fish had once laid. The smell of such struck Blight within seconds, a savory scent for the shark.
  568.
  569. A smog of emerald ichor clouded the water surrounding Blight. Where their chest still bled from being exploded, now deep gouges littered his body, tainting and chumming the water.
  570.

  578.
  579. Pain stained the siren's complexion in the form of a dark scowl, turning their gaze to the doors. They aim to approach such, albeit their movements staggered, to begin opening one of the doors.
  580. (Blight Reave)
  581. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  582.
  583. [21:41] {NARRATION} Well, the group manages to get in- And shutting the door behind them, the entire water that filled the dome eventually is drained out, runes lighting up on every single wall as they activated complex machinery hidden within the walls to pump it back into the ocean.
  584.
  585. After all, Selkies had some trouble breathing underwater unlike their siblings - They needed to take care of those too. Still, there was nothing in this chamber itself, apparently used as a lounge for whatever reason, long gone unused. Instead...
  586.
  587. There is only another door, this time with three balls right under drawings of all three divinities of Sirenia. Mori, Yama and Inki. Words written on the wall explain some of their purpose.
  588.
  589. "Created to bring life into the oceans, our own fathers tried to destroy us. Mori brings us death, Inki brings us life, and Yama brings us joy. Show your true faith, and tell why you came into this world.."
  590.
  591. And right in front of that door? A pedestal- Fitting for each one of the orbs of the gods.
  592. [21:47] Behind the door lay a bubble of air in which her body could relax a little. She stretched her shoulders, as she ignited a small flame in her hand to ignite the room in which they stood. Yet again, they stood before a door which needed to e solved.
  593.
  594. Yet the markings suggested something much more difficult than lifting a slab. She approached the writing and read it out loud for everyone.
  595.
  596. "I think it's some sort of riddle, but I honestly don't get it. Perhaps we have to hold an orb and give it some sort of answer?"
  597. (Ariel Cirque)
  598. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  599.
  600. [21:48] Once that door is shut Charlie takes his time to just watch the water drain on out. Machinery - How interesting! Were they to have more time he might've just spent an hour or so studying the inner workings of this dome.
  601.
  602. Yet, that behemoth was probably a drone. The alarm was already set off.
  603.
  604. While he surely could just pop off his equipment he'd created... Well! He's rather proud of what he'd made! No, instead it's kept on as they trudge deeper into the underwater structure. One hand keeps Outfall nice and primed, those sienna beads scanning every corner they passed by just in case.
  605.
  606. Upon reading over the inscription he can't help the scoff that spills out. "... Wow Mori, ya brought 'em death. What'd they do ta ya, man?" Cracking a shit-eating grin towards the Reave he'd cackle lightly.
  607.
  608. "So! So!.. Guessin' we either put tributes up or jus' 'onest ta Septia speak 'bout what brought us 'ere." Motioning forth the Razuka insists! "Go on, go on..! Speak ya minds!"
  609. (Charlie)
  610. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  611.
  612. [22:03] Sirenia, Mori, Yama and Inki. Staring at these doors briefly as they looked at each one a bit differently. What else they must have done as Mori took a step towards-...
  613.
  614.
  615. The Orb his own name was given after all. Mori, the deep one. Born from the abyss to drown all sirenian kind. None could stand its whispers. Though...at least he had an idea of what to do, roughly anyway.
  616.
  617.
  618. "Charlie...Ya' not understandin'. Da' Mori is a god. Its commonly called da' Mori because...da' real name of da' god is da' deep one. Da' one ta' cause da' end of...pretty much Sirenian kind? It even has a cult based around it. Our family followed da' deep one...All da' reavers do." A pause before a hand gestured towards Blight. Then towards himself.
  619.
  620. "It...makes sense ma' family would name me after da' deep one but, after all...what am I suppose ta' do?" Taking the orb that represented the deep one before the pedestal. All but placing the orb upon the pedestal.
  621.
  622. "Ma' one bein' fer bein' in da' world? Is ta' carry out da' deep ones will ta' an extent. But that's besides da' point. Ma' real goal? Is ta' split da' sky wide open."
  623.
  624. Truthfully? That was his goal at the very end. Nidaz's help would rightfully do that. To tear the sky wide open so that a different type of sea could fall out.
  625.
  626. The sea of darkness. Who wouldn't enjoy that right?
  627.
  628. But for now...It was only time for the Mori. The deep one, It was their time for the reign. Hail the deep one in the essence.
  629. (Mori Reave)
