  19. I feel like I'm back dealing with the Inheritors again, as many Spider-Men as there are around here. Everyone keeps telling me about my past, but of course there's no connection to be had with anyone, and everything with the people I'd known is stilted and awkward at best. Mostly on their part as they insist on treating me like I'm made of glass, since my spider-suit doubles as the only thing that actually lets me get around because apparently I'm paralyzed from the waist down. (Sure, I started out in a wheelchair, but screw sitting on the sidelines. We have the tools. We have the talent. We do not sling webs in wheelchairs, that is just stupid.)

  21. Regardless however, my role in this whole mess (and make no mistake, it is not just a mess, this is a perpetual stage six shitstorm) is showing exactly what force multipliers are. Making sure people slack, but don't blow off everything? Morale and proper training do good work. Equipment upgrades? Oh, I've got that in spades. And then we get on things like forecasting probabilities, and using that in tandem with actually seeing the future and parallel worlds can net results that aren't prone to being comically wrong at just the wrong times. Like, say, when the Green Goblin thinks he can take out AN ENTIRE FUCKING HELICARRIER SOLO, so that he can be derailed in short order. Or when a number of villains decide to team up and become a notable threat.

  23. Or, you know, when there's an actual multiverse arc. Again.

  25. What is it about crossovers lately, anyway?
