Lana's Christmas Eve

>"Lana, can you do something for me?"
>Leni watched Lana rolled around in her saved pile of early-october muck, since there was none to be had outside.
>"I'm busy, ask Lola."
>"But, like, you're the only one who can use the tools!"
>Lana stopped to look at Leni.
>"Ever since Lynn got caught trying to use the power sander, like, you're the only one left"
>The blonde beauty had a look of genuine distress and fear, something that was rare for her.
>"Santa's coming soon, right?"
>"Yeah! Christmas! He knows when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake-"
>"Why is that creepy old man trying to look at me when I'm sleeping? That's, like, totally gross and weird!"
>Lana stopped again.
>She could feel what was left of her brain liquify and dribble out of her ears.
>"Lana, I bought some two-by-fours, can you board up the windows and the door to my room? I don't want him getting in!"
>Lana had no brainpower left to refuse, so she went to the garage to grab a hammer and some nails.
>Not two hours later, every window into Lori and Leni's room was boarded up, and the door was jammed shut with a bookcase.
>"Thanks, Lana! I'm totally gonna get you a new frog for christmas!", the muffled voice said.
>Santa was coming soon.
>Santa!
>The plan reiterated itself in Lana's head.
>The twins were going to catch that old fart this year, and nothing was going to get in their way.
>So she immediately jumped down the stairs and found Lola near the chimney.
>"You're late, stupid!"
>"It's not my fault, dummy! Leni's the stupid one!"
>"No, you're stupid for listening to her!"
>The two argued like this for hours, trying to figure out the merits of whether listening to Leni was stupid or not.
>Neither of them noticed that they had fallen asleep under the chimney.
>On christmas day, the twins awoke at the crack of dawn as all children are wont to do.
>"CHRISTMAAAAAAAAS!"
>The sudden realization that they had fallen asleep on their watch, and failed to see Santa fill their home with presents.
>Leni was asleep on the couch, a letter stuck on her face.
>Lana picked up the letter and read it aloud.
"Sorry, girls! I couldn't stick around to wake you up and answer your questions because I had to free Leni from her room. I'll be back same time next year, so I'll get you two something good next time! Be nice to each other, honor thy parents, and don't argue so much next time! You two are the best thing to happen to each other! Love conquers all!
