1.

Hi, I was recently banned for something which I feel is way out of bounds of a fair ruling.
2.
3. My issue is that I can't actually appeal using the form that is provided in the email. It tells me I already have an appeal submitted and that I should check the Ban Appeals forum, however I have not appealed the ban, nor does said forum show anything in it.
4.
5. I would like to know what the issue is, how I can fix it and failing that, who I can talk to in order to appeal this ban.
6.
7. Thanks!
8.
9. For some reason your suspension did not register with our appeal program, so if you would like to appeal just PM me. I will save the logs and send them to the other SGMs so that there will be no question that I handled this different than any other appeal.
10.
11. Here is what would be given to you:
12.
Ticket ID: 607271 Match ID: 66382003 GM Explanation: Player went afk knowing he wouldn't be kicked because he was playing with a friend (yellow)
13.
14.
15. Just respond back with your appeal.
16.
17. Ok thanks a lot man, this ban is particularly frustrating to me.
18.
19. So, basically, I have checked through multiple different threads from both S2Games and GMs outlining the rules, specifically the ones about AFKing. The only thing I can find is that as long as you don't avoid the AFK detection timer, it is not bannable. The one by S2Games even goes as far as to say that if you simply don't want to play, that as long as you don't avoid said timer, you won't be banned.
20.
21. Quotes from these:
22.
Nome"] Avoiding AFK Detection
23. Purposefully avoiding AFK detection. Going AFK (or not participating anymore) and being detected by the AFK detection timer is perfectly allowed, bypassing this however, isn't.
24.
iGuy"]No Griefing
25. Description: Purposeful irritation or harassment of other players whether verbally or through the game contrary to game objectives.
26. Griefing includes both verbal and gameplay abuses. Objectionable behavior takes many forms, and all are punishable. To avoid being punished for griefing, you should always be on your best behavior and play the game as it was intended. Avoid being part of the problem! Punishable subcategories include, but are not limited to...
27. Avoiding AFK Detection
28. Ability/Item Abuse
29. Intentional Feeding
30. Calling Out Allied Positions
31. Game Throwing in General
32. Illogical Refusal to Participate
33. Item Destruction
34. Mass Item Spamming
35. Racism
36. Verbal Abuse
37.
38.
39. Those are the specific quotes where it says that avoiding the AFK detection is bannable and not avoiding it isn't bannable.

41. Now on to my case. The game was going badly I will admit that and there were some problems with teammates, however all in all, this had nothing to do with my reason for going to the fountain and not playing. I had to alt tab to do some things for school that could not wait. It was not avoidable and it came up in the middle of the match.
42.
43. I was tabbing back in to chat every now and then, hoping that I may be able to continue playing at some point during the match. Not sure exactly what I said, some of it was probably against the two teammates who were griefing.
44.
45. When you watch the replay, up until the point I went to the fountain, despite some griefing, myself and my friend were both attempting to play seriously.
46.
47. That's basically the outline of leading up to the 'AFK'.
48.
49. The problem I have is that I am being banned for "knowing he wouldn't be kicked because he was playing with a friend (yellow)". I do not agree with this. I did not know that he would not kick me for AFKing and in fact, normally when I play with friends, they do kick me to get me items and gold. I'm not sure why he chose not to, whether it was malicious on his part or not, however there were no rules broken on my end. I did not avoid the AFK timer in any way. It is not my fault that he chose not to kick me, nor does the responsibility for my not being kicked fall on my shoulders.

51. I know that I have been banned multiple times in the past, mostly for flaming. I know you may choose to hold this against me and I completely deserve it, however since I was most recently unbanned I have been trying my hardest to follow all the rules closely and have also addressed my habit of flaming my teammates, which I do MUCH less frequently now and less every game. This ban is very frustrating for me, because after eating some bans that I DID deserve, I am now being banned for even longer because of something beyond my control, when I did not break any rules.
52.
53. Hopefully this can be resolved.
54.
55. Thanks a lot man!
