- Dragon Quest XI S 100% FAQ
- What are you trying to do?
- I'm trying to complete Dragon Quest XI S to 100% as fast as possible. This includes:
- - All monsters registered
- - All recipes
- - All items registered
- - All Quests
- - All Accolades
- - All Characters to lvl 99
- - All Skills unlocked
- - Every pep combo performed
- - All Puff-Puff's done
- How long do you expect this to take?
- I honestly have no idea, but I expect at least 4-5 days, probably more.
- Wait... days?
- Yeah, this run is way too long to express in hours. The plan is to run ~12 hours a day. I can manage this for 4 of the first 5 days (Sunday I'll start later and only run for 7-8 hours). If it hasn't finished by that point I'll have to slow down for a few days.
- Are you crazy?
- So they say
- How is this being timed then?
- I'll have 2 timers running. One for playtime (which is with splits) and one for RTA. I'll have a real-time clock running somewhere on the stream to live-verify that I didn't screw with the real-time clock. Since this run hasn't been done before and there aren't really any rulesets to work with, this seemed to easiest to time it with. Also, at the end of the day, this run is just for fun, so it doesn't really matter anyway.
- What is the hardest part of the run?
- Overall there aren't too many things that seem too difficult. The parts I'm looking up against the most are the horse races (I never finished first in the plat and black difficult races casually) and the secret Wheel of Harma trial. Aside from that, the Casino is going to take a while as will finding all rare encounters and the likes.
- How do you handle breaks in the run?
- About halfway through each stream (so around 6 hours in), there'll be a 3-minute ad-break. This is to force me to take a 3-minute break without being able to get back to it earlier as well as helping me on the financial side of things. Sorry in advance for running ads, I know they suck, but this seemed like a decent way to force myself into a short break so I can go to the bathroom and refill water and whatnot.
