- `Name:` Ysayle Dangoulain | Lady Iceheart
- `Age:` 24
- `Source Material:` Final Fantasy XIV
- `Current Residence:` A small camp set up in the ravine. Soon, Radiant Garden.
- `Relationships:`
- - Estinien: Estinien is... something. Though she very rarely agreed with his methods, she found herself coming to a tentative understanding with him. After all, the tenets of his faith were shaken just as much as hers, albeit for a different reason. In a way, she sees them as kindred spirits, though she's relatively loath to admit it. Admitting that he's right about anything makes her think of his stupid smug voice lording it over her. She ultimately hopes that, whatever he is doing these days, he's enjoying some of the peace that she never was able to see.
- - Alphinaud: In their travelling party, Alphinaud was her favorite. He was a smart young man, and though it was obvious that he still had some growing up to do, he carried it with some measure of grace. He reminded her of herself, in a way, a young Ysayle that imagined the weight of the world on her shoulders, having not quite learned that the world can be just as kind as it is cruel. In a better world, she would have liked to be an older sister to him! Her thoughts fall on him now and again, as she wonders just what he gets up to after her "disappearance." She hopes that he's grown into a fine young man!
- - Shiva: Saint Shiva was somebody that she wished to embody. She saw herself as Shiva's second coming, and realizing that this wasn't the case ultimately shattered her. Ysayle has an ultimately complicated relationship with her religion and the primal that it birthed. Though she will certainly use her powers when necessary, she considers herself more of an apostate these days than a devotee. Still, Shiva as a primal was representative of Ysayle coming to terms with *herself* as a being that has some form of power (as summoning a primal with your own body as a vessel is very rarely a small feat), though she tries not to think of that much. She also does not recommend anybody try and do the primal thing- but, hey, what can you do?
- `Other:`
- - She still *can* embody the primal Shiva. She doesn't do it all the time, for obvious reasons, but it's an ability that she has!
- - She's multitalented! If you give her a weapon, chances are that she can at least passably use it.
- `Story So Far:` Every ending may very well be a new beginning, and every martyr believes that they died for the right reasons. On the cusp of brokering peace between her people and those of Ishgard (and hopefully, a later peace with mankind and dragon), she left for the Churning Mists once more in an attempt to make her peace with her shattered faith. She hadn't thought to follow her party into Asys Lla in the moment, not until Hraesvelgr sensed the use of his fallen broodmate's power. It was only common sense to offer her aid. Ysayle didn't expect to die when she rode Hraesvelgr into Azys Lla. A hero's death was far from something that she had deserved, after everything that she had done. In the end, though, a hero's death was what she received. As she felt Shiva's power leave her for the final time, there was some peace in that. Finally, hopefully, her heart would know peace. Ysayle closed her eyes and let herself become.
- When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a barren wasteland. Strange creatures of shadow, odd beasts that she did not recognize, a duck with the capacity for speech- these were surely indications that she was in hell. Ultimately, the concept was little shock to her. After the atrocities that she had committed, she would be welcomed in very few places that heroes resided. Thus, she attempted to find her place in this strange world that she had found herself a part of.
- The majority of her efforts upon landing were to discover more about the place that she had found herself in, with new energy and mostly new creatures. Once she realized that the afterlife was not kind enough to fulfill the need for food and drink for her (reasonable, given that excursions into the hells could never be that easy), her methodology shifted to survival. Ultimately, she's been wandering around the ravine making a decent living for herself, entirely unaware of the nearby town. She hasn't died a second time yet, at least, so she'll consider that well.
- `Appearance:` https://eniphina.tumblr.com/post/146581676115 i'm thinking the last two pictures of this set. at least the middle one!
