#PastebinMonday 07/31/2023 Playing Catch Up Edition

'Sup, doods!

Whether it be work or play, all I am doing right now is playing catch up. I've been hard at work on personal best videos and have five of them ready for the coming weeks. I think it's best for me to focus on one thing at a time and not look at the below list of things that I feel behind on. If that list is any indication, then I am going to be playing catch up for a long time. Eventually, that list is going to weigh too heavy on mind to let sit and I will have to scale back my streaming to Fridays to catch up on it. I have not yet decided on whether I will do that before the Pokémon Puzzle League tournament starts up. By the way, signups for the tournament open in less than 24 hours. Speaking of doing things to catch up, I feel like I have not been considering how important it would be to accomplishing my goals to stay in physical shape, thus I got serious about my diet recently to make up for lost time. I do tend to pig out on Fridays to celebrate pay day, however, and ended up undoing all of my weight loss progress for the week. Forgive me, I need to live a little bit. Turkey and cheese sandwiches actually taste really good, but they don't compare to a big, heaping plate of nachos. I also go crazy with potato chips and french onion dip if someone lets me. Here's to hoping I can be thin enough next year to catch up with some lost loves in the food department. Maybe my thinking skills will clean up a bit, too. Am I coping that hard, doods?


Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #2 (fka #4): edit my personal best runs. I have my June 23 Kirby's Avalanche runs ready. Next up is my Falsebound Kingdom Sub-5 Lottery win. I have four or five videos left. They will come out three at a time in the coming weeks.

Goal #3: update the LPS Pokémon Puzzle League broadcast layout to be better automated like the Tetris Attack layout. In my head, this shouldn't take too long, but if the crawl of the Kirby's Avalanche layout was any indication, it could very well take a whole month, not leaving me much time to do anything else. I can promise to start working on this in three weeks.

Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. I will still want to take time during the week to do all of that instead of stream when I decide to get serious about it. Whether I will be able to get around to it anytime soon remains to be seen. This would be the main reason why I would need to take an extended break.

Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon. This would be the secondary reason why I would need an extended break.

Goal #7: maybe make a universal LPS broadcast layout. I have a base, but perhaps I should stylize one for the LPS brand. Let's just say I have plans. Hopefully I wouldn't over-homogenize it like SpeedGaming did.

Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.
