This is the basic story of Zorro with a 'Lenzi' touch of horror. The hero doesn't just wear a mask; he's shrouded in black from head to foot, and the effect is quite successful. In this gorgeous print he comes across as human inkblot, a man-shaped void, a silhouette of negative space. It's unnerving. The costumes and sets are superb, the action is boisterous and the plot easy to follow. Overall this is a fine adventure, which certainly has never looked so good.
