We try to collectively show that we come in peace; the octopus swims away and watches us warily. Inside the boat, Zug finds a wooden crate and with help from Yindan, pulls it out of the ship. Inside the crate we find a spotless scimitar and a bunch of silver coins. The scimitar is a scimitar of speed; Yindan takes it. We stash the create with thousands of silver in it into the bag of holding.
  13.
  14. We make our way back down to the main level, and then take the right stairs down one more level. We find several rooms, some empty, some full of rotting debris set up with rotting furniture, rugs, etc. There's one room with scattered seashells; there are six pieces of platinum hidden within the shells.
  15.
  16. We take a short rest. We go back up the stairs, and down the left stairs to find more living quarters, a room of underwater vegetation, a room of fish storage. Mia picks the lock on the fish storage, and most of the fish swim away.
  17.
  18. We start swimming our way upwards to the surface and make our way back up to the ship.
  19.
  20. We found a total of 270 gp, 6 pp, 6000 sp. It divvies up to 857 sp to everyone, and we each give up 6 gp from what we already divvied up; Ashlng gives up her platinum piece.
  21.
  22. We debate what to do and where to go now. Yindan casts animal messenger to send a message to the Hillport tavern keep and to the north Tenant Canal tower advising that the Canal has been cleared, please support the Talon Aquaduct. Mia and Vaella work together to make a map of the area from here to Kalvonas. We rest in place for the evening and take our long rest.
  23.
  24. The next morning we set sail for Kalvonas. Kalvonas is the 'capital' of the wood elves, and the former outer port for Lithheim from befoe the Canal closed. The day's sailing is peaceful.
  25.
  26. Our second day of sailing to Kalvonas is peaceful.
  27.
  28. Our third day of sailing is through a thick rolling fog.
  29.
  30. Our fourth day of sailing, we encounter five winged figures attacking from the sky.

  44.
  45. Vaella hauls Ashling back onto the deck of the ship, no longer charmed. The rest of the crew saves the other overboard crewman. We set sail towards Kalvonas once more and make it there several hours later.
  46.
  47. The docks are decaying, and people are gathering, watching as a ship sails in for the first time in years. Captain Brett weighs anchor a quarter mile off shore and we get into longboats to row ashore. The gathered crowd stands ready to defend themselves. A magically amplified voice calls from land to stand back, Yindan identifies himself and two women and a halfling call us to come ashore, telling the crowd to stand down. The women are Mille and Jeanine, the halfling introduces himself as Ash Liga. Yindan says that the canal has been opened, for the good of the elves. Mille and Jeanine lead us to the community hall. Ashling and Ash Liga talk a little along the way; Ash doesn't like the competition between Lithheim and Kalvonas, and hopes that things could be better with the Canal opened. Vaella watches the people around town; they're not impoverished, but they're working class, their lives could be better. Ash talks about how there's a dozen logging camps, all supported by this town.
  48.
  49. In the community hall, Yindan lets them know that his cousin the prince was hoping to have Theresa's crown returned. Yindan has detect thoughts running Mille and Jeanine are immediately concerned, and wondering what we know. Yindan says that while the prince wants the crown, we ourselves want it for more altruistic purposes; the dragons have returned. Mille and Jeanine seem nonplussed about the dragons, say that it's just the latest in a long line of strange occurrences; when Yindan asks about that, they say they don't trust him that well yet. They invite us to stay for dinner, and excuse themselves.
  50.
  51. There's a tall, ancient building in the Star Spire; it's where Mille and Jeanine live, and is a historic building with significance to the starry druid circle.
  52.
  53. Ash tells us that the swamp is getting swampier, the forest is getting thicker. The tree-ents have gone quiet. Ash tells us that people here are measured by what they do, not who they are, and that if we want to help, we should help. Ash leads us to a gazebo with a village task list written there.
  54.

  56. Repair house
  57. (Daily) help Aeva harvest ingredients for healing potions

  61.
  62. Zug goes to the decaying shipwreck to try and destroy it. He casts wall of fire, and destroys the ship; it burns for a solid minute, and completely incinerates into debris in the water. He borrows the cloak of the manta ray from Vaella and swims out to gather the debris and deal with it. It takes a little over an hour for Zug to gather all the debris and stack it on the shore.
  63.
  64. Mia goes to help repair a house. She struggles with it, and is eventually dismissed.
  65.
  66. Yindan goes to help Aeva, a druid, harvest ingredients for healing potions. After half an hour, he's filled the basket for what Aeva needs. Aeva gives Yindan a potion of healing for the assistance. Yindan goes to help Zug with the ship debris.
  67.
  68. Ashling and Vaella go to the Star Spire to research in the library; they have the skull of a strange creature they're trying to identify. We know that a lot of creatures that were originally created as biological weapons still exist today; this isn't that. It's the skull of a kobold, minions to the dragons.
  69.
  70. Mia, Ashling, and Vaella congregate in the middle of the village; we hear bleating sheep, followed by a wood elf crying for help. Ashling casts sleep, putting eight of the sheep to sleep. There are two sheep left that Mia and Vaella chase after; it takes fifteen minutes and Ashling ends up casting sleep again to catch the remaining two sheep.
