  1. June walks past the massive crystals that seem to grow from every crack and crevice of the cave, searching for answers. She has to know who the hell this "June Egbert" is suppose to be.
  2. Of course, speaking this now, its rather obvious in retrospect, but sometimes one does not know their self so instantly.
  3. And so June continues deeper into the cave.
  4.
  5. I think its important to point out that unlike Thoren, June and the others cannot hear the voice of the narrator so easily. I could say the most vile things and she wouldn't have the slightest clue about it, unless Thoren relayed the messages.
  6. But that wouldn't be a very good idea now, would it?
  7.
  8. Soon enough, she arrives at a bend in the cavern. An otherworldly glow seems to emanate from the horizon. This had to be a sign... right?
  9. June continues around the corner and in the distance she sees the biggest, spikiest, most colorful crystal ever to have been gazed upon by her own two eyes.
  10. And in front of that crystal she sees some weirdo wearing an heir class godtier outfit, with horns that she can only currently associate with the ears of the teleporting bastard that killed her father years ago.
  11. But of course this is not Bec Noir, or even someone with prototyping changes from her game's session.
  12.
  13. If she wants to find out, she will have to walk closer.
  14.
  15. (And so she does, because there's literally no other directions to walk in this cave.)
  16.
  17.
  18. June approaches the mysterious heir and they speak, back facing.
  19. "...So you have arrived."
  20.
  21. A slight startle, but honestly more of an annoyance than a threat, even if they do seem to be trying. Who does this motherfucker think they are anyways?
  22. "(I fucking swear, if this wasn't an important moment...)"
  23.
  24. June thankfully does not notice the heir complaining very quietly.
  25. "...Alright, you better start coughing up answers. Who is June Egbert."
  26.
  27. "Heh... still so naive. In due time you will begin to discover the answer."
  28.
  29. "I don't have time for this cagey cryptic crap! Give me an answer!"
  30.
  31. A pause. Finally, the horned heir turns around. Though they appear to have the figure of a woman, there is still something unmistakably masculine about them, yet not exactly. And at the same time, their face appears to be artificial and oddly angled, but sculpted soft, as if alive. Their piercing gaze reveals eyes that toe the balance between uncanny valley and the sublime. a fiery crimson presence residing behind the binoculars. An embrace of both real and fake, man and woman, human and inhuman. Machine and spirit.
  32.
  33. This isn't the first time that June has seen a soul-bot, but it is the first time that she's seen one so advanced, so complex, so... customized. She almost envies them in this respect.
  34.
  35. "...Tell me. How long have you been searching?" The horned heir asks.
  36.
  37. "...what?" June replies in confusion.
  38.
  39. "How long have you been searching for June Egbert?"
  40.
  41. This question seems almost inane to her. She had only heard that name today, as far as she knows.
  42.
  43. "What are you talking about? I got the pizza today."
  44.
  45. "I know, but that is not the question."
  46.
  47. Who is this cryptic asshole anyways?
  48.
  49. "...Who even are you?" June asks.
  50.
  51. The heir grins, almost punchable in their smug arrogance. They look like they could easily replace Sephiroth.
  52.
  53. "Me? I am perfection. I am the one sent to save your world from complacency and irrelevance. By my will, the hands of time move in turn. The synchronized pulse of the hearts of the countless I have connected to can be felt through me. Who am I, you ask?"
  54.
  55. JUST GET ON WITH IT!!
  56.
  57. "...My name is Thoren."
