14.	SB:　That’s the fullback! Safe and reliable! 「フルバックで安心感バツグンや！！」

21.	ST:　The Ichiroku you just shot, Genko? She has it. So does the FN-SCAR.  「現子が撃ったAR18とかFN-SCARあたりやな」
22.	SB:　Now, it might look like it’s the exact same as the fixed type, but ya can actually fold it at the base. Turnin’ it into something more compact is its special feature.　「一見固定式と同じやけど根元から折り畳んでコンパクトにできるんが特徴や」
23.	SB:　And that’s the stringy high-cut! 「ハイかットのひもパンや！！」
24.	SB:　Ain’t _quite_ as reliable as the fixed type, I’d say. 「固定式に比べるとちょっと頼りないな」
25.	ST:　Again, are we talking about stocks? 「銃床の話？」

32.	SB:　We were implemented with a recoil spring upon construction, mostly ‘cause of a last-ditch attempt ta make up for the fact that we couldn’t get any folding stocks. 「もともとはM１６の構造上　銃床部分にリコイルスプリングが入り込んでて折り畳み銃床が採用できへんかったからの苦肉の策やったんや」
33.	ST:　Recoil Spring 「リコイルスプリング」
34.	SB:　The spring’s what keeps us from totally collapsin’. 「そやから完全には縮められへん」
35.	SB:　But once body armour became the norm fer more recent troops an’ policemen, adjustin’ the stock length turned outta be pretty handy. 「けどボディアーマーを着るのが当たり前になった最近の軍隊や警察では銃床の長さを調節できるんが便利っちゅう事になったんや」
36.	ST:　Can be adjusted over several segmentations. 「多段式に調節できる」
37.	SB:　Can’t say I remember why that’s the case, though. 「何か幸いするかわからんもんや」

91.	SB:　So, what’s the first thing you want to know about sub-machine guns? 「まず短機関銃の何が知りたいですか？」
92.	SB:　Let me think… 「そうねーーー」
93.	SB:　Why aren’t they just called machine guns? What’s with the ‘sub’ bit?  「何故機関銃じゃなくて『短い』なの？」
94.	SB:　Starting from there, huh…? 「そこからですかーーー」

97.	SB:　Above all, regular machine guns can shoot full-size rifle ammo at a full-automatic setting. Their ammo’s bigger than the handgun ammunition we sub-machine guns can use. 「そもそも機関銃とは私達拳銃弾を使う短機関銃より大きなフルサイズライフル弾を連射で撃ち出す銃種の事です」
98.	ST:　9mm Parabellum 「９ｍｍパラベラム」
99.	SB:　It’s in a different league as far as firing range, power, and suppressive fire go. 「射程も威力も制圧力もケタ違いです」
100. SB:　You know, I hear that term, ‘suppressive fire’ pretty often. What does it mean, exactly? 「よく耳にするけどその『制圧力』ってなに？」
101. SB:　Well, originally, it was meant to indicate how many enemies a gun was capable of shooting down. In their case, though, they’re not really built for hitting stuff, so it’s more of a question of how many enemies it can hold off. 「まあ本来はどれだけ沢山の敵を倒せるかって事なんですが、ぶっちゃけそうそう中るものでもないので『どれだけ沢山の敵を釘付けにできるか』ですね」
102. SB:　Aren’t those full-automatic types supposed to hit all the time? 「連射ってめっちゃ中るイメージあるけど？」
103. SB:　Well, in movies, sure. 「映画の中だけですねぇ」
104. SB:　Like in Rambo and Commando. 「ランボーとかコマンドーみたいなのは」
105. SB:　Anyway, because of that, the special forces and other high-profile professionals that go to war generally rely more on semi-automatic weapons. 「そういう意味で戦争のプロ中のプロである特殊部隊あたりでは弾発基本です」
106. ST:　They don’t like to waste shots, see? 「ムダ弾も使いませんし」
107. SFX:　BAM BAM 「バムッ　バムッ」
108. SB:　Way to take the fun out of it. 「夢がないね」

111. SB:　So what are sub-machine guns even for?! 「じゃあ、短機関銃って何のためにあるの！？」
112. SB:　Well, sub-machine guns were built with the intention of being used in narrow war zones, like trenches. 「もともと短機関銃は塹壕戦などの狭い空間での戦闘を想定して作られたものですから」
113. SB:　It’s much easier for full-automatics to hit their target at a close range, too, so they built off that idea. 「近距離なら中る連射が基本なんです」
114. SB:　But they won’t hit when there’s a lot of distance, right? 「でも距離があると中らないんでしょ？」
115. SB:　They don’t have to, not really. 「中らなくてもいいんです」
116. SB:　What?! 「え！？」
117. SB:　That’s the suppressive fire/suppression force we talked about at work. 「それが『制圧力』ってやつです」
118. ST:　Woah! That was close. 「うわっ　アブねっ」
119. SFX:　Pa-Ching! 「バチュン」
120. ST:　Guess I shouldn’t move ahead. 「前道するのやめとこ」
121. SB:　They don’t have to hit when they’re spraying bullets everywhere. That’s more than enough to make people think twice about moving forward. 「中らなくても周辺に流れ弾が飛んで来るだけで前に進む勇気が削がれますから」

122. SB:　It’s all about suppressing and keeping back multiple enemies with a wide spray of bullets using a single weapon. 「弾発の散漫な射撃では押し留められない多数の敵を一挺の銃で制圧する事」
123. SB:　That’s the power of fully-automatic guns. 「それが連射の威力です」
124. SB:　And sub-machine guns, since they’re both compact and cheap, are the best option to utilise that kind of pressure.  「その制圧射撃をいちばんコンパクトに安価に実現するのが短機関銃というわけです」
125. SB:　Cheap? Wait, really? 「安価？そうなの？」
126. SB:　Since they rely on handgun ammunition, their power/force is a little hampered in comparison.  「拳銃弾を使うという事はその威力も小さいという事ですから」
127. ST:　Israel 「イスラエル」
128. ST:　A superior gun model built in post-war Israel, in response to their stunted industrial power.   「工業力の低かった戦後イスラエルで造られ大ヒットした優秀銃」
129. SB:　The actual guns don’t have or need the same kind of durability as rifles. 「銃本体の耐久力もライフル程は必要ありません」
130. SB:　That means that their production costs were also fairly low. 「つまり製造コストも下げられるという事です」
131. SB:　For the army of a somewhat destitute country, this was the ideal model. 「お金の無い国の軍隊にはうってつけですね」

133. ST:　Mrgh! Uzi! 「ム！！ウージー！！」
134. SB:　It’s the common opinion on the issue, isn’t it? That’ll do just fine. 「一般論なんだからいいでしょ」
135. SB:　What are you talking about?  「どういう事？」
136. SB:　Empii is really expensive for a sub-machine gun. Like, a lot.  「MP5は短機関銃の中では髙価いんすよ、とびきり」
137. SB:　She’s even more expensive than Ichiroku-senpai.  「それこそM１６先輩よりもね」
138. ST:　Though it can depend on the time of delivery and acquisition, the M16 is estimated at around half the price of the MP5.  「＊納入時期にもよるM１６の価格はMP５のおよそ半分」
139. SB:　Hey, I’m jus’ real popular! They make tons o’ units outta me, so of course each one’s gonna be a lil’ cheaper!  「私は人気あって沢山造るから単価が安なってるだけやで！！」
140. ST:　Can ya _not_ phrase it like I’m some kinda cheap floozy?!  「安い女みたく言わんちおて！！」
141. ST:　Sigh… 「はぁ」
142. ST:　It’s not like being cheap is a bad thing, you know.  「でも安いのはsいい事じゃないっすか」
143. TB:　So wait, is Empii-chan like one of those high-class girls?  「実はMP5ちゃんってお嬢さま…？」
144. ST:　She almost looks like she’s shining… 「心なしか輝いて…」
145. ST:　Also, the way she talks… 「それにひきかえ」
146. TB:　Come to think of it, M16 does sound like a valley girl… 「確かにM16は街娘っぽい」
147. ST:　Hey, you!  「おいそこ！！」
148. SB:　You’re thinking somethin’, like, totally rude right now, ain’t ya, Genko?! 「なんか失礼な事考えてるやろ現子！！」

149. SB:　Still, it’s amazing that you’re so expensive but still get used in so many countries! 「でもそんな高価いのに色んな国で採用されてるなんてすごいよね！！」
150. SB:　Guess that means you’re a pretty high-end weapon, huh?  「それってよっぽど優秀って事だよね」
151. SB:　True. Chithree-chan’s pretty much the only sub-machine gun that can snipe at a distance of up to 200 metres, too. 「そうだねーー２００M級の狙撃ができる短機関銃なんてMP5ちゃんくらいだもんね」
152. SB:　Come on, I could hit from 200 metres away if I tried! 「ウチかて２００ｍくらいなら中てれるわ」
153. SB:　You just keep quiet, Ichiroku-chan.  「いちろくちゃんは黙ってて」
154. SB:　She’s not meant for long-distance shooting like you, she uses handgun ammo. Don’t try to compete with her.  「遠射に向かない 拳銃弾のMP5ちゃんに張り合わないで」
155. SB:　No, I… I have an older sister who’s much better than I am. My manufacturers already have a higher standard. 「いえ…私には優れた姉さんがいて、既にメーカーとしての実績をあげてもらっていましたから」
156. SB:　My accuracy’s all thanks to them using my big sister’s firing system on me, too… 「命中率の高さも姉の発射システムを継承したからですし…」
157. SB:　Oooh… I can see why she’s popular… 「あーーーなんか人気あるの解るわーーー」
