- SPEED BENCHMARKS
- - Wallace's Luvdisc: Outspeed at +1 from 27IV~/7IV+ (100 at L46)
- - Julie's Ninetales: Outspeed from 20IV- (89 at L47), tie on 18-19IV- (88 at L47)
- - Wally's Gardevoir: Outspeed from 23IV- (88 at L46), tie on 18-22IV- (86-87 at L46)
- - Sidney's Sharpedo: Outspeed from 16IV~ (95 at L46), tie on 14-15IV~ (94 at L46)
- - Sidney's Absol: Outspeed from 6IV- (81 at L46, but this includes 5IV-), tie on 4-5IV- (80 at L46, but this includes 3IV-)
- - Sidney's Shiftry: Outspeed from 31IV-/8IV~ (91 at L46, but this includes 7IV~), tie on 29-30IV-/6-7IV~ (90/91 at L46, can't tell)
- - Glacia's Glalie 1: Outspeed from 12IV~ (93 at L46), tie on 10-11IV~ (92 at L46)
- - Glacia's Glalie 2: Outspeed from 19IV- (86 at L46), tie on 17-18IV- (85/86 at L46)
- - Glacia's Walrein: Outspeed from 11IV- (82 at L46, but this includes 10IV-), tie on 7-10IV- (81 at L46)
- - Drake's Altaria: Outspeed from 26IV- (89 at L46, but this includes 25IV-), tie on 24-25IV-
- - Drake's Salamence:
- > Outspeed at +0 from 21IV+ (106 at L46, but this includes 20IV+)
- > If 106 -> 116 at L50, you know you're 22IV+ (and you outspeed), but if 115, then you could be 20IV+
- > There is no level-up prior to L52 that can distinguish 21IV+ from 20IV+
- > Thus, if you see 106 speed at L46, then 115 at L50, you should X Speed on Altaria just to be safe (50/50 chance that you need it)
- - Steven's Skarmory: Outspeed from 12IV- (83 at L46), tie on 10-11IV- (82 at L46)
- - Steven's Claydol: Outspeed from 16IV- (85 at L46), tie on 14-15IV- (84 at L46)
- - Steven's Metagross: Outspeed from 12IV- (83 at L46), tie on 10-11IV- (82 at L46)
- ROUTING CONSIDERATIONS
- - Because of the issue with Whiscash Amnesia, you need to keep Hydro Pump unless you are decently high +spatk (14+IV+); look for at least 163 spatk when you candy after catching ogre
- - Hydro Pump always kills Edgar's Cacturne; this might be necessary for PP reasons?
- - You have to teach Waterfall before Victory Road, it's just a question of whether to teach in slot one or over HP (which you may need to save for Edgar's Cacturne on really bad spatk)
- - The main consideration for whether you need to keep Hydro Pump actually seems to be Sidney's Sharpedo; anything below 15IV~ should HP instead of SW (bad range otherwise)
- - Ice Beam PP is a problem if you skip Max Elixir:
- > Hope's Roselia (9)
- > Edgar's Cacturne (8)
- > Wally's Altaria (7)
- > Wally's Roselia (6)
- > Sydney's Cacturne (5)
- > Sydney's Shiftry (4) (calc the range)
- > Drake's whole team (-1)
- > To save a PP, you can Surf Edgar's Cacturne or Drake's second Flygon, depending on your stats
- > Missing the Shiftry range introduces additional uncertainty, so you could always get Max Elixir as a backup
- - Considering that you will probably always get Max Elixir, you may not need to teach Waterfall to Kyogre if Swampert has an open slot (i.e., if you taught Rock Smash to Zigzagoon)
- - Save Hydro Pump?
- > You basically always want Hydro Pump for Wallace (in case of Whiscash Amnesia), except on the highest of +spatk (14IV+, or 163 at L46)
- > After Wallace, you still want to keep HP if you need it for Sharpedo (<15IV~, or <150 at L46; you could be exactly 15IV~, which would be 149 at L46 -> 153 at L47, but you can't tell before you have to teach WF)
- > If you caught Zig, then you can teach Swampert WF instead of Kyogre, which would otherwise introduce PP issues if not for Max Elixir
- > However, if you didn't catch Zig, then you have to teach WF to Kyogre, and if you also need HP, then you'd have to go forego Surf. The issue is Gardevoir, where Surf is usually guaranteed, and risking HP miss could kill the run (DT+CM shenanigans). In this case, you'd rather just lose HP and risk the Sharpedo SW range because missing that range won't kill the run. Thus, you could teach Surf over HP in the last repel menu before Wally.
- > If you have really bad spatk (high-mid IV- or lower), you could keep HP for the entire E4 (due to +1 Surf range on Cradily), but this is only possibly if you caught Zig
- PP ROUTE (Surf/SW/IB/HP)
- X ITEMS
- - Wallace: 1 X Special, 1 X Speed (on at least 7IV+)
- - Glacia: 3 X Special
- - Drake: 1 X Speed
- - Steven: 1 X Special (X Speed for really bad -speed? Possibly to guard against Claydol Light Screen)
- - Total: 5 X Special, 2-3 X Speed
- WALLACE
- - Luvdisc: SW (15/19/10/5)
- - Whiscash: X Spec, Surf/HP (15/19/10/4)
- - Sealeo: SW (15/18/10/4)
- - Seaking: SW/HP (15/18/10/3)
- - Milotic: SWx2 (guaranteed from 7IV~; 146 spatk at L46) (15/16/10/3)
- SIDNEY
- NO ZIG (need Kyogre for WF)
- - Catch ogre and candy
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
- TO-DO
- - Route out Surf PP if you teach WF to Marshtomp
- - Early or late Max Elixir? i.e., before Phoebe, or before Glacia?
- > If you Max Elixir before Phoebe, assuming you miss no ranges, you have EXACTLY enough Surf PP to finish (assuming IBx5 on Drake)
- > If you miss any ranges whatsoever, you need to make up for it with HP, probably on Steven (favor HP on Cradily/Metagross, since Skarm has Toxic, Aggron has Thunder, and Claydol has Light Screen)
- > If you know you will need to HP on Steven, it's probably worth healing to full, because Metagross can kill you with some strong attacks (Hyper Beam)
- NOTES
- - Catch Kyogre and use Rare Candy
- - If you see 163+ spatk:
- > Teach Waterfall in slot 4
- > Teach Surf in slot 1
- > Teach Shock Wave in slot 2
- > Equip Persim Berry
- > Use Escape Rope
- - If you see <163 spatk:
- > Teach Waterfall to Swampert (over MS) if you have Zig
- > Teach Surf in slot 1
- > Teach Shock Wave in slot 2
- > Equip Persim Berry
- > Use Escape Rope
- - Menu outside:
- > Remove MW from Swampert
- > Switch Swampert with Kyogre
- > Fly to Sootopolis
- WALLACE
- - Luvdisc: SW
- > X Speed first if 100+ speed at L46
- > If you X Speeded and got no confusion, you can setup the X Special here instead of on Whiscash
- > Guaranteed from 136 spatk
- > If <129 spatk, consider setting up here instead of on Whiscash (129 gets 75% range)
- - Whiscash: X Special, Surf/HP
- > Hydro Pump if Amnesia and you saved it (<163 spatk at L46)
- > If you already set up on Luvdisc, you can just Surf anyway
- - Sealeo: SW
- > Guaranteed from 135 spatk (16IV-)
- > At worst a 75% range, so you just have to risk it
- - Seaking: SW/HP (HP if <150 spatk)
- - Milotic: SWx2
- - In the repel menu after Wallace:
- > Remove Persim Berry if it didn't pop
- > Fly to Mossdeep
- - Mossdeep repel menu:
- > Max Repel
- > Equip Mystic Water on Kyogre
- > Teach Waterfall over Hydro Pump if you didn't teach it to either Kyogre or Swampert earlier

- > If you miss the range and he CMs, just Surf/WFx2
- > Worst case scenario is DT+CM spam, so you could just die if you have bad stats and/or couldn't keep Hydro Pump (no zig)
- SIDNEY
- - Mightyena: WF
- - Cacturne: IB
- - Sharpedo: SW/HP
- > HP if <160 spatk and you didn't have to teach Kyogre WF

- - Shiftry: IB or SW+IB
- > IB is guaranteed from 160 spatk
- > SW+IB if <153 spatk
- > If <153 spatk, you have worse than a 75% range, so even if you get DT after SW, your odds to hit are still higher than the initial OHKO
- PHOEBE
- - If you don't have WF (because you saved HP for Sharpedo), you need at least 7 Surf PP entering Phoebe; else Max Elixir first
- - Dusclops 1: Surf
- > Guaranteed from 154 spatk, 3/4 from 146 spatk
- > If you miss the range and get confused, heal and go for it again
- > If you miss the range and she curses, just sack a slave and continue
- - Banette 1: Surf/WF (WF guaranteed from 155 spatk)
- - Sableye: Surf/WF (WF at worst a 7/8 range on 0-1IV-)
- - Banette 2: Surf/WF (WF always guaranteed)
- - Dusclops 2: SW+Surf or WFx2
- > SW+Surf is guaranteed from 8IV~ (160 spatk); 97% on 2-7IV~ (157-159 spatk); 89% on 0-1IV~ (156 spatk); 71% on 24-31IV- (151-153 spatk)
- > WF does 74-88 on 150-153 spatk; if heal range is <25% (to test), then WF is 1/16 to knock into heal range (29HP)
- > Below 156 spatk, the SW+Surf range is pretty iffy, so you can WFx2 and even get a flinch
- > You can HP in a pinch (for example, if you miss a range and run out of Surf PP), but it's not ideal
- > HP is guaranteed from 6IV~ (159 spatk), 7/8 on 0-5IV~ (156-158 spatk)
- GLACIA
- - Glalie 1:
- > As long as you outspeed (101 speed at L50), you want to go for the Surf OHKO
- > If you miss the range, you should get hail; just Surfx2 (or Surf+SW?)
- > Set up to +1, and if you don't get Light Screen, then go for Surf again (+1 in hail is slightly better than +0 in rain)
- > If you're outsped to begin with, then set up to +3, and SW+Surf
- - Sealeo 1:
- > If you OHKO'd Glalie outright, set up to +3 here, then SW (heal Body Slam para)
- > If you already set up on Glalie and Light Screen is up, SWx2 (or WFx2 on high +spatk?)
- - Sealeo 2:
- > SW(x2 if LS)
- - Glalie 2: WF (Light Screen should be down by now, but if it's up, WFx2?)
- - Walrein: SW (refer to ranges above, but you have to just go for it regardless)
