How about some AU ideas?

>Moxxie as a mentor figure for Verosika - either a former teacher or someone she looked up to
>Moxxie was an artistic polymath - writer, songwriter, playwright, musician, singer, actor and comedian
>became a teacher when he felt he was reaching his zenith, and wanted a back-up once he was past his prime
>met Verosika when she was an up-and-coming star
>the two hit it off well, with Moxxie having the humility to admit he's yesterday's news, and Vero having great respect for him, even though he never cracked a million - though he did get a golden record or two for some of his songs
>eventually, Verosika becomes famous - but by the time she does, mono-careers are on their way out, thanks to the internet
>while she sings on the stage, she also does podcasts, sells most of her songs online, and often collaborates with smaller creators to bring them into the limelight
>Blitzo is nothing more than a hired gun during her live performances, and sensing that he's too messed up on the inside to be a good partner, she keeps her distance from him
>meanwhile, Moxxie's career slowly comes to a close, although he is still valued as performative arts teacher in many institutions
>he and Millie never met - she's still on her parents' farm, competing with Sallie May, and having the time of her life
>she only knows Moxxie from his previous albums and some of his performances she'd seen on TV, but for her, he's a distant, fading star - pretty to look at, but not worth pursuing

>hitting a minor slump in production, Verosika remembers Moxxie, and reaches out to him for a collaboration
>he agrees, and the two meet up to catch up and discuss the details

>it is the beginning to a beautiful friendship
