  1. Recently I was again checking out the SoS cursor values: http://pastebin.com/aqixJkV4 And I wanted to mess with it some more. I wanted to know why it sometimes gave different cutscenes and warp locations. After a bit of digging, I found the short which decides what to do after you select your warp destination on the SoS menu.
  2.
  3. When you use a glitched cursor value w/ SoS it will assign a value to this short and then based on what this value is, different things can happen to link. These are the results:
  4.
  5. 0 Softlock
  6. 1 Softlock
  7. 2 Softlock
  8. 3 Softlock
  9. 4 Gain control again (It's normally this value when you just have SoS menu up)
  10. 5-21 Softlock
  11. 22 Song of Time: Resets cycle & puts you in SCT, doesn't save.
  12. 23 Softlock
  13. 24 Speed up time CS
  14. 25 Slow down time CS
  15. 26 SoDT cutscene (Doesn't advance the day at all)
  16. 27 Softlock
  17. 28 Soar to Great Bay
  18. 29 Soar to Zora Cape
  19. 30 Soar to Snowhead
  20. 31 Soar to Mountain Village
  21. 32 Soar to Clock Town
  22. 33 Soar to Milk Road
  23. 34 Soar to Woodfall
  24. 35 Soar to Swamp
  25. 36 Soar to Ikana
  26. 37 Soar to Stone Tower
  27. 38 Soar to last entrance
  28. 39+ Softlock (I tested up to 200)
  29.
  30. If somebody can find out what determines the value written into this short, we should be able to easily find all the cursor values which lead to the cool and unique results, like the soaring ones and the SoT one.
