- Recently I was again checking out the SoS cursor values: http://pastebin.com/aqixJkV4 And I wanted to mess with it some more. I wanted to know why it sometimes gave different cutscenes and warp locations. After a bit of digging, I found the short which decides what to do after you select your warp destination on the SoS menu.
- When you use a glitched cursor value w/ SoS it will assign a value to this short and then based on what this value is, different things can happen to link. These are the results:
- 0 Softlock
- 1 Softlock
- 2 Softlock
- 3 Softlock
- 4 Gain control again (It's normally this value when you just have SoS menu up)
- 5-21 Softlock
- 22 Song of Time: Resets cycle & puts you in SCT, doesn't save.
- 23 Softlock
- 24 Speed up time CS
- 25 Slow down time CS
- 26 SoDT cutscene (Doesn't advance the day at all)
- 27 Softlock
- 28 Soar to Great Bay
- 29 Soar to Zora Cape
- 30 Soar to Snowhead
- 31 Soar to Mountain Village
- 32 Soar to Clock Town
- 33 Soar to Milk Road
- 34 Soar to Woodfall
- 35 Soar to Swamp
- 36 Soar to Ikana
- 37 Soar to Stone Tower
- 38 Soar to last entrance
- 39+ Softlock (I tested up to 200)
- If somebody can find out what determines the value written into this short, we should be able to easily find all the cursor values which lead to the cool and unique results, like the soaring ones and the SoT one.
