Holy Magic 12

[21:19] {NARRATION} The party happens upon a valley-- one with a large crater. Once they peek over, they'll notice that a settlement is hiding under the shadow of the valley. Small shacks, tents, and more litter the floor as well as countless people making a living off of a small stream running through the valley.

In the valley, there is a large crater. There are several wires leading to it, and wrapped around a glowing green object in the center. However, just on the other side of the stream from the crystal, and it seemed a mentorship was on-going as a man shows some young people... Dark Arts
[21:19] The landscapes before them had shifted multiple times, but now it seemed relatively stable and open, but it was hard to be certain if what he perceived was even reality after being manipulated through space and time in such a way.

A frown touches his lips they approach the desert. Sand always made him uncomfortable especially after the few magi he had witnessed who wielded it. Hard to think such a simple thing could be so nasty.

"The sooner we are out of this desert the better." He comments before withdrawing a flask from his side-satchel. "Those potions I gave out before we left should help. We can get a better vantage point at any rate."

With that he pulls the stopper and downs the liquid within his own vial. The Radiant rises into the air night instantly where he hovers intuitively.

[21:28] One foot followed another. The violinist squinted down at her depiction of what Mo’ssa drew for them to follow. She peered around to better scope out notable landmarks, redirecting their group when necessary. Luckily, they possessed this crudely-drawn picture; if anyone were to rely on her sense of direction, everyone would be in dire straits. Priscilla paused at the next encounter. A ramshackle village positioned in a crater. Or close to it. Her gaze flitted down to the paper, only to examine surrounding sands. None of this was exemplified with the fae’s illustration. Eyes pointed towards the Montclaire.

"Should I use it, too?"

Her heart stopped at the sight below.

[21:28] He trailed behind as they ventured into the desert. Sights gazing around, occasionally it seemed endless.

The warm winds shifted his hair about, his cloak was wrapped around his figure and extended to cover his lips and chin from the sand filled breeze.

Finally, they reached something that would seem to have been the ultimate destination. That boobytrapped crater was taken into deep consideration, a heavy sigh was released from beneath his coverings.

He listened to Valero as he spoke, a nod offered in response before he withdrew the offered potion to be consumed. Disgusting as always..

"It seems we have company.." he spoke in a low tone for those surrounding him to hear. That occultic presence was well known to him, he could even feel it's sensations. He always did have a weakness towards it, weaknesses towards it's effects since a young age. Though through training he was able to bare it's presence with more tolerance.

He awaited patiently for the champion's commands here, no efforts to fill a role of leadership here would be made.

[21:28] Yvel was a quick study, Seeing so many people living off the land in such a place but a damper on his heart. Wondering what displaced them in the first place.

He'd give a nod to Valero and drank a potion. "I didn't know so many people lived out here...Another thing I'm ignorant about it seems."

As something struck him as odd the hairs on the back of Yvel's neck began to stand on edge. Darkness filled his sight as he saw the glowing green object, A crystal like thing and next to it was a man seeming to mentor others in Dark magic!

"Wha-" Yvel ran over towards the man staff drawn immediately There was no need to even ask or question what was going on, He knew for sure it was a crime.

"You there! Stop this immediately! Under the laws of Osrona I'm placing you under arrest!" Yvel claimed clouds sparking holy and lightning magics around him.

[21:30] Odd as their venture had been he had never released his connection the celestial construct. As they drew near Incandescene began to thrum and shine in response to something yet unseen.

The presence of the Occult was immediately sensed and Yvel led the charge against the man prompting Valero into action as well. He swooped in already expecting a fight though the offer of surrender had been given.

[21:34] {NARRATION}
[21:34] Warrior says, "... test"
[21:42] {NARRATION} The shoouts of Yvel alert the settlement to the party's presence. The students learning turn around, the mentor looks up and charges up a sickening energy around themselves. A dark occultic blast is shot into the air into a sickening flare, and the cries of women below explode into the vast space of the valley.

A cry pierces the rest, "Exorcists!! Run!"

Mages begin mobilizing from the camp, and it seems they are all put on alert!
[21:45] He sighed a bit, Yvel had stripped them of the element of silence or surprise.

No matter.

"Knowing what I know, I'll assume we're going to need to cleanse them."

His expressions were weary, dulled emotion present.

He knew occultism well enough to know what end this would meet.

[21:45] Yvel ignored most of the students moving to arrest as many of the running occultists as he could muster, The students didn't matter as much as the one clearly teaching them.

The staff is drawn and the clouds begin to surge lightning and holy magic before the young Exorcists made his abilities known, As the blast was shot into the air Yvel would quickly fire a restraining bolt of lightning towards the Occultists.

"Hold nothing back, We need to succeed in our mission and bring these law breakers to justice."

[21:48] They had been given the chance to surrender and instead they scattered and even prepared for battle. They were not going to come in peaceful nor did it seem diplomacy was a viable option yet that did not stop the Radiant.

Both hands take hold of the cobalt hilt and he adjusts as he floats nearer, his voice firm as he calls out to Priscilla, "Take the potion and keep moving!

A bright golden orb appeared at the man's chest within the empty socket of his armor and began to expand to engulf his entire form until his features were distorted by that shining golden light.

"Put down your arms or fall before the light! He calls, mana-charged limbs lending supernatural speed as he bolts forward in a streak of starlight that crackled and popped in a trail behind him.

Normally dark eyes shined with the same brilliance as his form until finer details were indistinct under the pale red-gold wreath of celestial might. Incandescene already knew what it must do and he followed, man and blade in unison.

[21:51] Teeth hurriedly sank down into the bottle’s cork prior to opening it. Lips parted to allow its contents to slip down an awaiting gullet, taste as pleasant as any other alchemic concoction. Her frame started to levitate meters off the ground without warning. One hand clutched onto the violin case while its match gripped onto the map. A couple of moments to adjust and she hesitantly floated away from the conflict. Dread started to fill the woman’s body when the distance grew between herself and the group.

Valero knew what he was doing. There was no time to doubt him now.

[21:55] {NARRATION} Warriors begin charging up to the top of the valley to meet the Exorcists head on while the magi prepare themselves for battle!

The party must survive a few waves of assault!
[21:57] {NARRATION} In the midst of the battle, Adrielle is attacked from behind by a sudden blast of energy sapping on his health!
[21:58] {NARRATION} Do not move-- Adrielle will be conducting his fight and while that occurs the rest will handle the 'adds'
[22:06] Warrior exclaims, "Exorcists fucks!"
[22:06] Warrior exclaims, "Begone!"
[22:06] Adrielle cos Solenne says, "Hmph."
[22:20] Surrounded on all sides, Yvel struggled against the mass of warriors that struggled to defend themselves Yvel, Valero and Adrielle all brandishing their weapons to defeat the horde of occultists and warriors.

Sweat and blood spilled onto the sands, Yvel striking lightning onto the desert fields making glass that would strike the ground and his foes, Killing them with very little caution. After all anyone who would raise a blade to defend occultists had already forfeited their life in Yvel's mind.

The pair of cosmic magi's blades were not far behind him, Using them as the vanguard Yvel would prepare once more his spell he had been. Recreating the spell he saw the Fae commit to he'd gather a surge of holy magic, Before him, Remembering the way the fairy used it.

Shaping the spell above as a golden cloud ascended into the sky and began to fill the area with bright holy magic, Adrielle and Valero's cosmic magic only bringing forth more positively charged mana for Yvel' to collect

Before finally it came crashing down, Holy magic conjured into the cloud stream down like a beam piercing through heaven and unleashing its wrath onto the earth, Like a golden bolt of Lightning.

"Holy Cloud Magic: Radiant Bolt of Atoning Judgement!" Like a flash the spark of Holy magic ripped through the crowd of soldiers Yvel and Valero was fighting.

He'd nearly collapse from exhausting so much of his mana..yet he'd regain his composure having already become better at handling this spell from his prior battles. He'd turn to his side to see Adrielle having found victory against one of the main warriors.

He'd smile only to find themselves surrounded once more...Even after unleashing such an enormous attack it seemed the battle was not yet over.

[22:20] {NARRATION} The battle rages on!

[Don't assume the people you defeat are dead just yet. This camp is small and can't churn out an army but the fighting is supposed to be a lengthy skirmish, just feel the need to clarify]

As the defenders of the valley settlement continue to battle the order of the first light's finest, others in the distance are gathering women and children and evacuating them from the area!

Lights i nthe area start to go out one by one as those escaping unhook their homes from the tethers leading to the stone at the crater! And soon...
