戦闘を仕掛けたらしい」
Lasse: Yeah, we just got word from [Veda]. Seems the Britannian surveillance force that was watching the Gate started fighting unidentified machines.

「正確にはもう戦闘は終わっています。
所属不明機群は無抵抗のまま全滅…
パイロットは乗っていなかったそうです」
Feldt: Actually, the battle’s already over. The unidentified machines were wiped out with no resistance... Makes sense, seeing as how there were no pilots.

「で、刹那達が同行している例の部隊から
提供された情報と照合してみたら、
モビルワーカーの一種だと判明したわ」
Chris: And after comparing it to the information given by the force that accompanied Setsuna and the others, we’ve been able to identify them as a type of Mobile Worker.

リヒティ
「じゃ、イサリビがいた世界の機体ッスね」
Lichty: So they’re machines from the Isaribi’s world.

スメラギ
「これでハワイのゲートは、[鉄華団]がいた世界に
繋がっている可能性が高まったわ。そして、
彼らはそこへ向かおうとするでしょうね」
Sumeragi: That makes it very likely that the Gate in Hawaii is connected to [Tekkadan]’s world. They’ll no doubt want to make their way there immediately.

「だが、[エリア11]周辺はブリタニアが警戒を強めてる。
あの部隊がいくら強力だからって、
そう簡単には動けないだろ」
Lasse: But, the Britannian forces around [Area 11] are on high alert. No matter how strong their force is, moving around isn’t going to be easy for them.

Sumeragi: There, the Black Knights will create a commotion and draw Britannia’s attention to Shikinejima. That will be when all of you escape from Area 11.

「了解したが、黒の騎士団だけで大丈夫なのか?
式根島にブリタニアの要人が二人来る以上、
厳重な警戒態勢が敷かれていると思うが」
Bright: I understand, but are you sure the Black Knights will be alright on their own? With two Britannian VIPs at Shikinejima, I have to imagine security would be tight.

こちらからはガンダムマイスター達を出しますが…」
Sumeragi: You imagine correctly. That’s why we’ll be sending the [Gundam Meisters]...

「作戦の成功確率をより高めるために、
オケアノスにも出ていただきたいと考えています」
Sumeragi: But to improve our odds of success, we would like for the Oceanus to be sent out as well.

Zero: Using Pellucidar Mode, the Oceanus can enter and exit the battlefield discreetly. ...Furthermore, it would even be possible to penetrate the Gate on its own after being separated.

ラー・カイラムに残る必要があるけど、俺達なら」
Kamille: Captain Amuro, Shinji, and the others have to stay on the Ra Cailum, but it’s not a problem for the rest of us.

「ま、チョウフ基地での作戦の裏で
ちょちょいとね」
Rakshata: Well, it took a little behind the scenes action during the Chofu Base operation.

「ゼロという男、想像以上に抜け目がないようだな」
Tetsuya: That man Zero seems to be even shrewder than I thought.

(Zero approaches.)

「…そうでなければ、ブリタニアとは戦えん」
Zero: ...We would be unable to fight against Britannia were I not.

「なら、今回の作戦にも裏があるのか?」
Tetsuya: Then do you have something going on behind the scenes of this operation as well?

作戦に間に合いそうにないわ」

メインの操縦を誰にするのか決めといて。
復座式なのは前に説明したわよね?」

Suzaku: Of course, Your Highness Princess Euphemia.

「そんな畏まった喋り方はやめて、
普通に話して下さい。
ほら、シンジュクゲットーの時みたいに」
Euphemia: You don’t need to speak so formally, please, just talk as you normally would. Like the time we were in the Shinjuku Ghetto.

「え? しかし…」
Suzaku: Huh? But...

「私があなたを騎士に選んだと伝えた時、
何と言ったか覚えていますか?」
Euphemia: Do you remember what I said when I choose you to be my knight?

スザク
「自分と共に世界を…人種も何も関係ない
誰もが幸せに暮らせる世界を創る手伝いを
して欲しい、と」
Suzaku: You said that you wanted me...to help you create a world where everyone can be happy, regardless of race or any other reason.

ユーフェミア
「ええ、その通りです。
実は、そう思ったのは私にとって
大事なある人達のためなんです」
Euphemia: Yes, that’s right. Actually, the reason I feel that way is because of the people who are very important to me.

スザク
「それは…?」
Suzaku: Do you mean...?

ユーフェミア
「あら…シュナイゼル兄様が到着したみたい」
Euphemia: Ah... It looks like Schneizel has just arrived.

ユーフェミア
「ごめんなさい、スザク。話の続きはまた今度。
シュナイゼル兄様を出迎えに…」
Euphemia: Forgive me, Suzaku. We’ll have to continue this conversation another time. I must go meet my brother—

(A distant explosion shakes the screen.)

「きゃあっ!?」
Euphemia: Kya—!?

「ユーフェミア殿下、こちらに!」
Suzaku: Over here, Princess Euphemia!

「あ、ありがとう、スザク…」
Euphemia: Th-Thank you, Suzaku...

「失礼します!
皇女殿下、我が方は黒の騎士団とガンダムの
襲撃を受けています!」
Britannian Knight: Excuse me! Your Highness, we’re under attack by the Black Knights and the Gundams!

ユーフェミア
「えっ…!?」
Euphemia: Eh...!?

スザク
「警戒態勢は厳重なはず…!
もしや、敵はいきなり現れたのか?」
Suzaku: But we’re supposed to be on high alert...! How did they appear so suddenly?

ブリタニア騎士
「はっ、チョウフ基地を襲撃した艦です!」
Britannian Knight: Sir, they’re with the ship that attacked the Chofu Base!

スザク
(もし、ゼロが来ているのなら…)
Suzaku: (Then Zero might have come here...)

ユーフェミア
「枢木スザク、出撃しなさい。
ここであなたの力を示せば、あなたの周りにある
雑音もいずれ消えるでしょう」
Euphemia: Go forth, Suzaku Kururugi. Demonstrate your ability here and the ill-founded rumors surrounding you will disappear.

スザク
「はい…!」
Suzaku: Right...!

『この世界を変えるまで』
Episode 38
Until the World is Changed


(Scene begins on the map screen of the Shikinejima Base. The Oceanus, the player’s team, Kallen, and Setsuna are deployed. Schneizel is on the map in his battleship, the Avalon.)

キョウ
「よっしゃ、今回も奇襲は成功だぜ!」
Kyo: Alright, another successful ambush!

アレルヤ
「まだ緒戦だ。喜ぶのは早いよ」
Allelujah: Don’t celebrate so soon. This is just the start.

シュナイゼル
「ふむ…エリア 11を騒がせている者達が
だいたい揃ったね」
Schneizel: Hm... It appears as though all the individuals who have been stirring up trouble in Area 11 are present.

(Euphemia calls Schneizel.)

ユーフェミア
「シュナイゼル兄様、ご無事ですか!?」
Euphemia: Prince Schneizel, are you alright!?

シュナイゼル
「ああ、大丈夫だよ、今の所はね」
Schneizel: Yes, I’m fine. For the moment.

ユーフェミア
「ご安心下さい。
兄様の身は、この基地の兵達と私の騎士、
スザクが守ってみせます」
Euphemia: Rest assured, brother. The soldiers of this base and my knight, Suzaku, will keep you safe.

(Suzaku and several KMFs appear.)

「敵の数は少ないが…奴がいる」
Setsuna: The enemy are few... But he’s there.

スザク
「ユーフェミア殿下とシュナイゼル殿下は、
必ず守り抜いてみせる!」
Suzaku: I’ll defend Princess Euphemia and Prince Schneizel no matter what!

シュナイゼル
「では、ユフィの騎士の手並みを
拝見させてもらおうか」
Schneizel: Now then, let’s see what kind of skill Euphy’s knight possesses.

カレン
「ゼロ、白カブトが姿を見せました」
Kallen: Zero, I have visual on the white helm.

ゼロ
「よし…ある程度、敵の注意を引きつけたら、
手はず通り海岸部へ後退しろ」
Zero: Good... Once you’ve drawn their attention, fall back to the shoreline just like we planned.

カレン
「了解!」
Kallen: Roger!

シマ
「各機へ。
今回はあくまで陽動作戦であることを
忘れぬように」
Shima: Attention, all units. Keep in mind that this is merely a diversionary tactic.

カレン
(それだけじゃ終わらない…!
あの白カブトがいる以上は…!)
Kallen: (It’s more than that...! So long as the white helm is around...!)

刹那
「刹那・F・セイエイ、作戦を遂行する…!」
Setsuna: Setsuna F. Seiei, executing the mission...!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(This exchange triggers if Kallen battles Suzaku.)

カレン
「スザク!
あんたがその白カブトに乗ってたなんてね!」
Kallen: Suzaku! I can’t believe he’s the one piloting the white helm!

スザク
「絶対に守らなければならない人達がいる…!
だから、負けられない!」
Suzaku: There are people that I have to protect...! That’s why I can’t lose!

(Battle 1 ends if either Suzaku is defeat or all other enemies are defeated.)

(If Suzaku is defeated.)

スザク
「ここで退けるものか!
まだ戦ってみせる!」
Suzaku: I can’t retreat here! I’ll keep fighting!

(If all other units besides Suzaku are defeated.)

シュナイゼル
「彼らの実力は聞きしに勝るな。
やはり、この世界からいなくなってもらった方が
良さそうだね」
Schneizel: Their actual ability puts the rumors to shame. I’m more sure than ever that it would be best if they were removed from this world.

シュナイゼル
「ユーフェミア副総督、こちらの護衛用の
ナイトメアフレームを出撃させたい。
許可をもらえるかな?」
Schneizel: Sub-Viceroy Euphemia, I’d like to send out my escort Knightmares. Do I have your permission to do so?

シュナイゼル
「調査目的の無人機だから、
時間稼ぎ程度が限界とは思うが」
Schneizel: They’re unmanned units intended for research gathering, so they would only be good for buying us time.

ユーフェミア
「構いません。お願いします」
Euphemia: That won’t be a problem. Please, go ahead.

(More Knightmare Frames appear.)

「スザク、シュナイゼル兄様の護衛部隊が出ました。
お姉様の部隊もこちらに向かっています」
Euphemia: Suzaku, Schneizel has sent out his escort unit. My sister’s unit is also on their way here.

スザク
「了解しました!
それまで持ち堪えてみせます!」
Suzaku: Understood! I’ll endure until then!

ゼロ
「シマ司令、コーネリアの部隊が接近中だ」
Zero: Commander Shima, Cornelia’s forces are approaching.

「こちらでも確認している。
なお、ラー・カイラムとイサリビは
移動を開始した」

Zero: Euphemia li Britannia! As well as Schneizel el Britannia! Look upon me!

「あそこか!」
Suzaku: He’s over there!

シュナイゼル
「ほう、生身で姿を見せるとは…。
余程の自信家か、それとも偽物か」
Schneizel: Showing himself in person... He’s either outrageously confident or it’s an imposter.

「今の我々には強大な力を持つ協力者がいる。
よって、今日ここでお前達との決着を付ける!」
Zero: We have powerful allies on our side. With them, I intend to settle this here today!

ゼロ
「私の挑戦を受ける気があるのなら、
追ってくるがいい!」
Zero: If you would accept my challenge, then pursue me!

(Kallen picks up Zero and all ally units leave the map.)

「ゼロ…!」
Suzaku: Zero...!

シュナイゼル
「彼のことだ、罠だろうね」
Schneizel: Considering the man in question, this is most certainly a trap.

ユーフェミア
「総督の到着を待ちますか?」
Euphemia: Should we wait for the Viceroy’s arrival?

シュナイゼル
「それが賢明だが…
後々のため、ゼロの誘いには乗っておこう」
Schneizel: That would be wise... But for future reference, I believe we should take Zero up on his challenge.

シュナイゼル
「君の枢木卿に頼めるかな?
私の護衛部隊も使ってくれて構わない」
Schneizel: Would you ask Sir Kururugi to do so? You may use my escort unit as you see fit.

ユーフェミア
「わかりました。
…お願い出来ますか、スザク?」
Euphemia: Understood. ...Will you do it, Suzaku?

「イエス・ユア・ハイネス!」
Suzaku: Yes, Your Highness!


(Scene changes to a map screen of the coast. Kallen and the Oceanus are on the map. Zero is with Kallen.)

「シマ司令、敵の動きはどうか?」
Zero: How are the enemy responding, Commander Shima?

シマ
「白カブトがこちらへ向かって来ている」
Shima: The white helm is heading this way.

ゼロ

Lockon: Yeah, it’s a good thing it only applies to Knightmares.

Zero: We need to have a talk, Suzaku Kururugi. Everything but your primary system should still be functioning. I’d like you to come out.

話し合いに乗らない場合、君は四方から
銃撃を受けることになるが?」
Zero: You will be treated as a prisoner in accordance with international law. Should you not agree, you will be fired upon from all directions.

日本は三つに分断され、いまだに戦い続けて

Zero: The Human Reform League and the AEU-Europia Alliance would have stepped in and split Japan in three. They would be fighting even know.

「つまり、今の平和は
いち早く決まった無条件降伏によるものだ」
Zero:  In other words, the peace we have now is due to Japan’s immediate and unconditional surrender.

「そうだ。父さんの築いた平和を壊さないために、
自分は戦っている…!」
Suzaku: That’s right. And I’ve been fighting to preserve my father’s peace ever since it began.

降伏は、選挙で選ばれた枢木首相ではなく、
彼を殺した何者かが勝手に決めたことだ」
Zero: You’re wrong. Prime Minister Kururugi, elected by the people, didn’t choose surrender. That decision was selfishly made by his killer.

「政府の指揮系統に乱れが起こり、
降伏を選ぶしかなくなった」
Zero: With the government thrown into chaos, surrender became the only logical choice.

ルールを破った一人の犯罪者によって、勝手に!」
Zero: The will of the people was stolen from them. By a lone criminal pursuing his own selfish agenda!

Suzaku: How do you...!?

「一つだけ贖罪する方法がある」
Zero: There’s only one way for you to atone now.

ブリタニアと戦うという道を」
Zero: Present the Japanese people with the choice they weren’t able to make then. The path they were robbed of 7 years ago. Fighting Britannia.

Base Commander: We’re now launching surface-to-surface missiles against the terrorist! Major Kururugi, you are to keep Zero there!

Zero: ! They’d order their own subordinate to die!?

Shima: The enemy base has launched a large number of missiles! All units, intercept them!

Setsuna: They’re targeting Zero...!

「おそらく、ゼロを含む我々全員だ!」

(The missiles begin falling and slowly destroy more and more of the enemy KMFs as the scene continues.)

(Suzaku restrains Zero and begins dragging him into the Lancelot’s cockpit.)

Kallen: He’s got Zero!!

本当にそれでいいのか!?」
Zero: Ugh! You’re going to die here as well...! You don’t have a problem with that!?

Suzaku: A soldier must always follow his orders!

「フン、その方が楽だからな!
人に従っている方が!」
Zero: Ha, certainly easier than following your own heart!

Zero: How do you feel about this!?

(Zero’s mask partially opens to show his eye and Geass activating.)

Base Commander: What are you doing, Major Kururugi!? You violated orders!!

「うるさい! 知ったことか、そんなもの!
俺は生きなきゃいけないんだ!!」
Suzaku: Shut up! I don’t care about that! I have to live!!

(Suzaku leaves the map.)

「敵のミサイル攻撃は停止しました。
白カブトは戦域から離脱していきます」
Fosetta: The enemy missile attack has ceased. The white helm has withdrawn from the combat zone.

「ゼロ、いったい何があったんですか…!?」
Kallen: Zero, what on Earth just happened...!?

(絶対に使うまいとは思っていた…。

Zero: (I never wanted to use it on him... Not to him...)

(だが、俺は使ってしまった…

Zero: (But, I did use it... I used my Geass on him...!)

Dita: Enemies approaching! It’s a Knightmare Frame squadron!

Kallen: Zero, let’s go back to the ship!
