 As Captain Nero arrived from his training regimen, the Lieutenant would offer a firm salute to his superior officer as he turned his remaining, burning hazel eye to the fellow officer. Taking a long, thoughtful drag of his cigar, the ambient whirring of the gears in his half mechanical brain would churn as he made a brief mental tally.

"Thank you for your cooperation prisoner, I have learned all I require."

Turning his attention to Nero as he blew a cloud of minty smoke up towards the distant rafters of the prison, the Barsburg frontiersman would flash a roguish grin to Nero with a firm nod.

"Through a bit of amiable chatter, I extracted that our prisoner was once a lieutenant of the Petrakian empire, and had fought against those that destabilized the region in preparation for our occupation."

The Lieutenant would nod firmly at that.

"Nothing else of use was acquired, I leave judgement firmly in your hands Captain."

Hoss would offer another dutiful, and distinctly cold salute in comparison to his previous warmth. This was the gravity of the machine. As apathetic as space in the pursuit of progress.

From under his coat, the same pistol of before is produced. A new cartridge loaded into its lower part.

"I see someone who was part of the Petrakian Monarchy. Your closer ties are to the ones who would do anything in their power to take back this city- And guess what."

The safety lock is undone, an authentic click coming out from the pocket pistol.

It was small arms, even if it was top of the technology. "The petrakian took it. And I know for a fact, being a career soldier, that I would not give that up. Loyalty is something that is built up and that won't end too easily."

"So." The pistol rises up, towards the Malenkoch's face directly. "Why should I tolerate someone that not only refuses to comply, but also seems to have made our way here as hard as they possibly could?"

The frontiersman would gesture idly with his hands at that.

Hoss would take a light drag of his cigar at that, offering Lieutenant Zero a warm smile as she entered before offering another firm nod to Nero, blowing a cloud of minty smoke up towards the rafters with a contemplative, emotionally cold hum.

 Nero actually starts to lower his pistol for a moment. It was an interesting take- Except.

It seems to bring some amusement into the captain's face. It was, in fact, nearly mocking. "No." It isn't even a second longer until he pulls back up, and pulls the trigger.

Lightning sizzles over his weapon for a moment, before mana carries up over it. A flash of teal surges through the mythril of the pocket pistol, and the following moment comes in a flash that sends a singular bullet, charged with all the energy the Captain could muster.

Likely, reinforced by the hatred within his very expression as soon as that mocking one had passed away- Which seemed to be only a tug of his index finger's away, at that moment.

Something that Athanoti said pushed him over the line a while back, and it was obviously never something good when dealing with someone as aggressive as Nero was. Always quick to jump to it, always the first to react when hearing something that displeased him-

And likely, the very reason why he was the head of research. The very reason why he sought to root out any spies.

And it is through his hands that he intends to put down Athanoti for what seems to be more than just the happenings of today.
