  1. 'Sup, doods!
  2.
  3. The decision to run Tetris Attack tournaments every month is doing wonders for giving me things to look forward to. Unfortunately, the management of the tournament cuts into my time to improve my own stream. I mean, granted, my brain rot tempts me to either do something unproductive without thinking or think about doing something unproductive, making it enough of a distraction as it is, but the tournaments do not help overcome that. I am actually suffering from paralysis by analysis and need help in dealing with it. Now that June's tournament is done—what a crazy tournament that was, by the way—I need to trim down and clean up the video to get it put up after SGDQ.
  4.
  5. Oh yeah, SGDQ. About that, doods. I have a unique opportunity to show off what I know about GDQs and how to commentate for them in marathons. I have next week off from my work and SGDQ will be on for all of that time. How am I going to be able to focus on getting any work done on my stream? Well, clearly, the only way I've been able to get anything done is to stream the work! If I need to stream the work to get stuff done and I'm going to be distracted by GDQ, anyway, why not host streams to talk about GDQ while it is going on?
  6.
  7. That's right, doods, every day during SGDQ, I will be hosting a stream to chat about the event while I half-watch and half-get-s**t-done. I think I need to put together a video intro and generic transition during this week off from work as the most important things I think are conducive to a semi-professional stream. Alerts would come right after so I can stop complaining that I don't have them. The first stream would start before the pre-show and each stream would end at the Daily Recap. On most days, the stream would be 12 hours. I will have to cut off YouTube if it gets any longer than that, however. It's gonna be an opportunity to do a new thing I've never done before and I wonder just how the hell I am going to hold up the entire time.

  9. Now if you'll excuse me, the tournament has wiped me. I am writing this on Sunday night. You enjoy the rest of your Monday and your week however you can. I will enjoy the rest of this night in bed. It's 9:00pm as I end this update. I should be proud of myself for getting so much sleep on a work night, dood, but the lack of stream work getting done contributes a lot to my overall anxiety. Maybe sleep can help with that.
  10.
  11. 6:00am update: insomnia sucks. Woke up at 3:00am and could not fall back asleep. On the upside, I had a brain blast in setting up shorts editing that will make the shorts better at advertising the channel. Look closely at my upcoming TikToks and let me know if you notice, doods.

  14. Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:
  15.
  16.
  17. Goal #1: edit the last tournament's video. I have lots of small things to clean up.
  18. Goal #5b: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for the Pokemon Puzzle League tournaments. I wonder how much I will be able to work on this next week.
  19. Goal #6a: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process, though I'm not currently motivated to stream any other part of it at the moment. Next major objective is to make transitions and alerts. This will be a lot easier to work on next week during the SGDQ watch-along.
  20. Goal #6b: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming.
  21. Goal #7: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. Getting back to this will be easier once the workflow for the monthly tournaments is finalized.
  22. Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.

  24. This week's schedule:
  25.
  26. Friday @ 9pm-1am ET – Friday Night Salt Mines: Looking to Break World Records Edition, Doods!
  27. Sunday @12pm- ~12am ET – SGDQ2024 Watch-Along: The First of a Very Long Thing Edition, Doods!
  28.
  29.
  30. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, be decent to each other. Later, doods!
