- Never Underestimate Image Backlinks
- Posting an image from your website on any nofollow/do-follow forums really really make a big difference. This strategy works really well, even in competitive niches. Plus you will not get moderated for doing this. Aaaaand another advantage from doing so, is that even nofollow tag is used on the forum. The link will be followed.

- I am in the same boat that @nodyguy are you saying that if you insert an image from your own website (example http://www.mydomain.com/image.jpg) into a forum the link won't be no follow? how so?, that the link it is shown in the SEO tools does not mean it has an effect on your Google ranks, ahrefs shows all your backlinks and then it makes a distinction betwenn the ones that are nofollow and the rest, because it is clear that the nofollow have no SEO value.
- Mod Edit: CTAs in signatures are not allowed.
- Google has said that it doesn't pass on link juice from images. Juice would be passed from the forum to the image (so perhaps the image would rank better in image search), but no juice would be passed from your image to any other page on your website.
- The same is true for PDFs as well. Except for PDFs, you can create a canonical link in the header of the PDF that redirects to a webpage.
- You can't do this with images - Google has confirmed this.
