- Suddenly that opens up a whole lot of questions and how you approach those questions is where the ideas come on
- Most of the spinoffs end up being bad because they put the attachment to the series at the forefront
- If you get stuck writing a good way to claw out of it is just finding questions to ask

- “Alright. What’s it about?”
- “I’m thinking something about Joan of Arc”
- “And what kind of story would Joan of Arc have?”
- “Adventure. Definitely.”
- “Well what does her adventure need?”
- “A quest and people who would push her towards that quest.”
- And so on and so forth
- It’s a better alternative to staring at a blank document if you ask me
- By the way this is a conversation that typically happens between writer and editor
- “So, Hiramatsu, what’s this manuscript you’re putting together?”
- “I want explore the relationship between Mami and Kyouko”
- “What kind of relationship was it?”
- Well hopefully you get the idea"
