- I wrote this 3 years ago. It's time that I remind myself this once more...
- 1) Quit fighting battles that aren't your own.
- I've done simply too much of this even lately. I need to resume keeping my distance from all my co-workers and just keep moving forward. Yes, I long for company. But getting close to people can open its own can of worms....
- 2) Stop living in the past.
- I've been pretty good about this at least. But, there are times I do long for some of my past company. I need to scrap it, really.
- 3) Stop complaining when it does nothing.
- I still do a ton of this, and I need to put a lid on it. Complaining doesn't really solve any problems whatsoever, instead I need to find my grievances and plan solutions towards those grievances. Otherwise, I'm simply dead weight. Its part of the reason I got played so hard 6 years ago, and may be part of the reason I'm lost at this point of time.
- 4) Take action, because you deserve better
- Complacency is hands down my biggest enemy. I need to keep an eye on the prize and push forward, no matter what. Because I need to remember that at the very end of the day, I am striving for my own happiness. And too often, I have stifled it for the sake of others.
- 5) Don't completely shut the door on company.
- It's still all too easy for me to do this.
- 6) Don't be afraid of the unknown.
- This is a struggle I've been through all my life, and conquering it has always led to good places. Except, I keep relapsing back into fear which is not a good thing to do. I once again find myself in a position where I need to defeat my own fears, and this time I need to do it with what I have learned.
- 7) Be comfortable with yourself.
- I haven't really been this lately, and its probably part of my problem. Been worried about my weight, having food issues, and yeah.
- 8) Conquer your issues.
- A big one for me. I need to do this, without letting myself get afraid of it. Don't think about it too hard, just get the job done. Life is frankly, too short to worry about all of that mess.
- 9) Cut the toxic shit.
- Toxic people tend to be attracted to me in the first place. If they cause all drama, they gotta go.
- 10) Focus on your writing career. It brings you just as much joy as music and computers. Don't bother wasting your time anymore.
- Still true 3 years later.
