  1. The night passed with a frightening lack of eventfulness. How could Mike know if Foxy wasn't just telling him it was a week away to make him lower his guard now? Who even was Foxy? He started checking cameras on his pad, desperate to not be caught, but it seemed normal, Freddy was talking with Foxy about something, Bonny milling about in the Arcade...
  2.
  3. "GAAHH!!" Mike jumped in surprise when he saw Chica making faces in the camera, the robotic- no, Cyborg chicken clearly laughing at his expense. He was now less afraid and more annoyed, he clicked off and decided to just watch some TV or something. He needed to take his mind off of all this.
  4.
  5. Mike was about half way into a Mystery Science Theater episode when suddenly a pair of yellow hands covered his face "SURPRISE!"
  6.
  7. To say he was unamused would understate it, letting loose a scream of terror, Chica let off "Whoa! Whoa! Sorry, was just trying to help you prepare..."
  8.
  9. Mike fumed at her "You could have at least told me!!!"
  10.
  11. "I'm sorry, you are bad at this though Moiky."
  12.
  13. "It's not like I was expecting cyborgs to hunt me down during night shift!"
  14.
  15. "I know, so I felt like you deserved a chance to prep for it..." The bird sighed.
  16.
  17. He wasn't sure if it was the look in her eyes, the tone of her voice or his own fatigue, but he just didn't feel like being angry for long. Mike slumped in his chair "Just... let me cool off please."
  18.
  19. Chica got out of there fast and left him alone until 4, coming back with a plate of Pizza from the assembler and a pair of sodas, Mike looked at her and nodded, letting her in. "So, do you even still eat?"
  20.
  21. Chica set the food down "yeah, need to provide nutrients to the ol' Noodle, sorry about earlier"
  22.
  23. "Chica, it's done with, let’s just take today to relax, get to know each other, so who are you?"
  24.
  25. "I'm Chica the Chicken, you know th-"
  26.
  27. "No, no, who... were you before?"
  28.
  29. "Oh..." under lights on her face created a simulated blush, no doubt connected to very real embarrassment.
  30.
  31. "Oh God" Mike face palmed "I knew you before didn't I?"
  32.
  33. "No! It's not that... it's just..."
  34.
  35. "Just what?" Mike needed to know worse than ever now.
  36.
  37. "My real name is... Jeremy Fitzgerald..."
  38. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. Mike Blinked "That's a man's name..."
  41.
  42. "yeah... it is"
  43.
  44. "But you're-"
  45.
  46. "Oh My God! Are you DENSE!?"
  47.
  48. "More stunned, I thought they'd have SOME Standards."
  49.
  50. "Technically they do, they were "Kind" enough to make sure my Brain's Chemical environment would make me FEEL Female too."
  51.
  52. "That's gotta be awkward."
  53.
  54. "It's actually less awkward, still weird but I've been at it for a couple years now, kinda used to it. Now if it's all the same please just call me Chica, for both our sakes"
  55.
  56. Mike huffed "So... "Chica" did it hurt?"
  57.
  58. "They put you under, but it takes getting used to.. to say the least, I used to hate it here, hate them, didn't care that we were all victims, didn't understand until we got Foxy."
  59.
  60. "Understand them I get, this place?"
  61.
  62. "Lets not Mince Moiky, this place is run by some real heartless... Jerks!"
  63.
  64. "I think Jerk is a bit... light."
  65.
  66. "Cant swear, but thats the thing, the kids are sacred, we cant go and ruin their days, they deserve to have the idea of this place preserved, they shouldn't need to learn what this is."
  67.
  68. "so you just sort of... accept it, try and forget who you used to be?"
  69.
  70. "not much to forget, no Family, no friends, in a way this place gave me some purpose, so I cant hate them either..."
  71.
  72. "Can't say I trust that."
  73.
  74. "Don't blame you, but it's almost 6, you best get home."
  75.
  76. The Clock hit 6 and a small beeping signaled that his shift was over. He left in a daze, both creeped out and sympathetic to the performers. Sleep came to him fast when he got home, more exhaustion than relaxation.
