  12. tapping employee knowledge creates a massive resource. Toyota's suggestion system generated over 20 million suggestions within 40 years, 80% of which were implemented. Siemens (Germany) spent 8 million on a suggestion system which generated over 120 million in revenue increases.

  14. we compete with both commercial companies like blackboard, as well as open source projects like sakai. these are well-established players, but none of them specificially addresses the opportunity of lowering the entry barrier and allowing everyone within the organisation to be a teacher.
