Most people who have listened to this album praise it as Green Day's best album. These people are stupid. This album is nothing but four good songs and a whole bunch of filler. 11 of the songs sound identical to each other and I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference if someone made a mashup of all of them. Is the filler good? It's truly nothing special. It really sounds like Green Day didn't give a #### while they were making this album. It lacks effort and doesn't deserve the praise it gets.

If there were ever a quintessential heavy metal album, this would be it. Painkiller is the best album Judas Priest ever put out, (yes, better than Screaming For Vengeance) and everybody should listen to it. From it's riffs that make you cream to Rob Halford's screech, everything just seems perfect, along with Travis's drumming that makes this album sound absolutely fantastic. This was also the album that Judas Priest NEEDED to put out, after their last two albums being the twin albums Turbo and Ram It Down, and what an album they released.

Operation: Mindcrime, is a good album, to say the least. To quote Steve Huey, "Operation: Mindcrime tells the story of a fortune hunter whose disillusionment with Reagan-era American society leads him to join a shadowy plot to assassinate corrupt leaders". Sounds cool right? Hell yeah it does, and the music isn't that bad either. Obvious standouts like "Breaking The Silence" and "Revolution Calling" highlight that prog metal put to a conceptual theme can really make something beautiful. However, admittedly, this album is not completely perfect. In my opinion, there is some filler in regards to the songs that are about 2-minutes in length, but besides that, this album is a genuine masterpiece for Queensrÿche and their best album to date.

I'm not gonna lie. The first few tracks kind of left me with an overall theme to this album which I'm not going to go into detail over. However, the rest of the album is honestly really good. My personal favorite, Animal Rights, really does this justice. The continuous mix is also god-tier. Listen to this if you're into electronic music.

While looking for albums to review and stumbling upon this, I listened to clips of all of the songs before downloading the album, and I was immediately impressed. After downloading and listening to the album just once, I was completely satisfied with what I got. While the story is one about remorse and redemption, the music itself is well written, well structured, and overall great. The drums aren't too flashy but blend in well with the music, as does the bass. The singing is just perfect. Probably the best rock opera since American Idjit.
