  1. [19:15] Up the mountains they came, and towards the fortifications they would enter. It was quiet. The civilians mostly evacuated in the days and months leading up to the event and even then sound magic was at work, making the place as ominous as a graveyard.
  2.
  3. A benevolent force could be felt in the air, and a red flag was flown as the Regent could be seen in the air. Blood also circles, likely preparing to launch their typical barrage of blood downwards upon the Gaiar army but first they would take a breath.
  4.
  5. "Today we stand, today we fight for Ardent.
  6.
  7. Those of the Fourfold, keep your blade sharp. I intend to see each and every one of you when I get back from my fight. We have to face monsters today, but remember the words of the Emperor.
  8.
  9. Every life is precious. Every battle can be won. Every moment is not without meaning.
  10.
  11. This battle is ours, as is the blessings of the Emperor. This moment to is granted meaning to Ardent; We will remember it in history.
  12.
  13. The day that Archons fall.
  14.
  15. ONWARDS ARDENT! DEFEAT THE DEMONS, SEND THEM FORTH INTO THEIR NEXT LIVES SO THAT THEIR TORTUROUS WAYS NEVER HARM INNOCENTS AGAIN. THOSE THAT FOLLOW THEM AND FIGHT FOR THEM AS WELL, AS THEY CAN NOT BE FORGIVEN FOR RAISING A BLADE TO DEFEND SUCH DEMONIC CREATURES.
  16.
  17. THIS MOMENT TOO HOLDS MEANING. "
  18.
  19. The bloodrain falls forwards, starting to strike towards the advancing army.
  20. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  21. [19:15] As Gaiar marches its clear as day that there's more of them and they are more united. Mythran's hand would lay on his blade a deep breath is taken as looks to the other side.
  22.
  23. No fear.
  24.
  25. Mythran was not scared his expression was stone like a real soldier, he was more than ready to put it all on the line for his people. The Drakanite raised his blade at the forces of Gaiar.
  26.
  27. "No matter how many you bring, they will all be crushed by the might of the emperor. Ardent will prevail." He spoke with no doubt. Mythran despite the odds truly believes that Ardent will win this fight and Push back Gaiar.
  28.
  29. A quick glance was given to the Archon Tragedy. Her presence was more than felt.
  30. (Mythran Yugao)
  31. [19:15] How long Atro waited, years it seemed, perhaps decades by now.
  32.
  33. None of that mattered, it was about the moment. Long were his thoughts filled with burning, long with were his thoughts filled with death; the burning of Ardent, the death of the Jianghese…
  34.
  35. Did he enjoy anything?
  36.
  37. No, just one, but there was a purpose to it; ending trouble, execution traitors.
  38.
  39. It was not enjoyment but fulfillment of purpose, and for that his weapon was ready with the march, a moment away from reelasing from his grasp.
  40.
  41. "They'll die..." At first it's murmur, and he inspects Ardent. "They'll die and burn for they've lived far too long. With too many thoughts of purpose, of thinking correct-" His teeth grind.
  42.
  43. "How pathetic they are, the order magi and they're supposed justice." the grasp around his weapon tightened. "So let them learn. Learn in the after life for they no longer require their lives."
  44. (Atro Gwyn)
  45. [19:15] "These are.." Phew, oh boy. More Demons and enemies than he had expected. Their whole army wasn't there, they weren't kidding when they said they're going to burn down Ardent.
  46.
  47. Zeke stood in the back for now behind the Fourfold army to follow through with him in aid of defending Ardent from Demons. "Sorry I'm late to the show Myhtran and Hermes."
  48.
  49. Smoke exhaled from Zeke's nostrils. "This is going to be easy, no?" No sarcastic tone from his voice, having faith in the people of Ardent to win against the Demons.
  50. (Ezekiel)
  51. [19:15] The droid marched alongside the rest of Gaiar, silent in its approach, but its whirring betraying it. Nevertheless, it arrived in Ardent. The large settlement contrasted that of Gaiar, but soon that'd change. After all, this particular battle held more significance than the last.
  52. (Gearshift)
  53. [19:15] Faust stand with his wife, with his friends, with everyone that have ever care for these place.. Here he was ready to protect the only place he have ever felt like home.. A smile in his face even if his heart rise hitting his chestas he stand there..
  54.
  55. "We will not bow.. We will win as heroes or fall as martyrs... "
  56.
  57.
  58. (Faust Di Maria)
  59. [19:15] Behind the protection of the most powerful beings on Agartha, Idris marches to Ardent-- but for no real reason. He wanted to became known within the nation that would actually survive the war, and so he chooses to march on to the crippled colony just for some fun and pleasure. Carrying a Shou-crafted mythril stave atop his back, he silently stands beside his brother Eiphraem-- amongst other notable figures.
  60.
  61. Unlike those who chose to add their insults to the mix, as well as those who gave annoying speeches for self-gratitude, the boy chooses to remain silent. He eyes Rayan, the one person he wouldn't let die in this battle. The others? Whatever.
  62.
  63. Crossing his arms, Idris' crimson eyes flicker about, trying to learn from the pre-battle experience and hopefully integrate some useful data into his mind.
  64. (Idris Kang)
  65. [19:16] War.
  66.
  67. Once more the combined forces of Aetherius, Crafthold and Gehenna marches against the armies of Ardent. Thousands march, ranging from the mightiest of Gehennan berserkers, to even the lesser Demons of Aetherius. Even the Archons marched to enforce Ardents demise, and for once, even Illaron had showed up.
  68.
  69. The Archon floated above the armies of Aetherius, his red eyes focused on the massing armies of Ardent. Powerful winds begin to surge at his control, infused with potent occultism that threatened to cut down all whom approached.
  70.
  71. He was setting the scene for war.
  72.
  73. "Citizens of Ardent." His voice booms throughout the city, carried on by the powerful telepathy he was known to wield. "Today, your city will fall. Your hypocritical leaders will die. Your ports will burn, and you will know the scorn of angering us."
  74.
  75. "This is your end."
  76. (Illaron)
  77. [19:16] Lief was excited, the thrill of a battle once told by his family was true. The Vanirhallan felt the adrenaline kicking in, death of the colonist... He could smell the blood, and there was one single thing missing, the gold.
  78.
  79. "Blood AND Gold. In that order."
  80. (Lief Toran)
  81. [19:16] Another fight he would take part, another step for the future, a look at the sky as the Gaiar forces aproached, he seeked guidance, the light of the star, he hoped that it would be by his side as always, this would be the most important step for Ardent now...
  82.
  83. The staff on his hands, the eyes moved around, looking at each companion and enemies, some known faces and some not really known, the enemies he wanted to end right there and the people he wanted to protect, he wouldn't let this city fall on this day...
  84.
  85. "Ardent! Fight for your city, fight for your family, fight for everything we must protect on this day, it's not the end, it's just one more step. With the blessing of Shenlong and of the star's we will fight to protect what's ours. Ardent will not fall today. Now... prepare Ardent, this is the most important day on our life, at this momment we will fight for our survival... and the extinction of the Chaos that stand infront of us."
  86. (Arie Hon)
  87. [19:16] Tanka would arrive smiling and dancing. He would cut down solider after solider as he came through the city. War after war. How he missed the screams of Ardent people. Tanka would smile big as he would look at the crowd of Jiang's gathered.
  88.
  89. "ARDENT IM BACKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!"
  90.
  91. He would smile. Prison couldn't keep the Nagual down. Coudlnt keep the proud kitty down. No no. Tanka was here to play.
  92.
  93. "So then who will I be playing with today...." He would swish his tail in excitement."
  94.
  95. He would then look at Ikkaku.
  96.
  97. "Nerzan oh NERZANN WHERE ARE YOU?! EDGE?! KAYN?! Wait right their dead aren't they. My gosh look at this crowd of sadness. Looks like Ardent really has Jiang its way into death. Well rice eaters its about time to die. Don't worry I keep the kitsunes to play with."
  98. (Tanka)
  99. [19:16] Zoldak opens his cloak. From the dark void under it, a blanket falls to the ground, unfurling neatly. Then, an avalanche of goods begin to tumble out of it. Weapons, armor, potions. Everything which might be useful for a battle. He takes place in front of it, and, with a wide smile and open arms, begins crying out in a booming voice.
  100.
  101. "Everything you need to be successful in battle! I've got the finest swords! The strongest potions! Potions far too strong for you! All for a fair and reasonable price! Get yours before you bite it!"
  102.
  103. He stops his pitch, and lowers his arms. His expression changes to one of serious concern, and he addresses his allies.
  104.
  105. "Worry not. I am standing by. I await the perfect moment. You shall not fall here."
  106. (Zoldak)
  107. [19:16] The siege of Ardent.
  108.
  109. Drawing his staff, Teshub glanced at Cheri for a moment. Teshub stares at her, offering her a nod.
  110. "May the Spirits protect us, sister." Water soon appears around Teshub's form creating a barrier made of water. This, will be his first large-scale batter ever. Will he survive? That was up to the Spirits …
  111.
  112. Despite the danger of the situation, he couldn't help himself to feel excited about it. The adrenaline felt … Good.~
  113.
  114. A chuckle escapes his lips.
  115.
  116. "Don't slow me down, Cheri." He muttured, soon raising his staff as the battle was about to start.
  117. (Teshub)
  118. [19:16] The living dead will always refuse to die.
  119.
  120. Mere years ago, Peacekeeper had been hidden behind Ardent Cliff, in the volcano where the refugee settlement had been burned to the ground. He built himself a shelter of razed ruins - he was a mere bogeyman, sighted by few and spoken with by fewer.
  121.
  122. He marches alongside the Archon of Crafthold, to whom he's finally sworn his sword. His reason for being here is perhaps different than all the rest -
  123.
  124. Peacekeeper is certain that Aetherius will win. He is certain that there is no risk in staying home, that there is no risk in allowing all of this to fall without his intervention.
  125.
  126. However.
  127.
  128. Whether or not anyone else is going to call in the debt, he is most certainly going to pay it himself.
  129.
  130. He glances to Eiphraem, and offers a short statement of solidarity. Emotionless, hollow, separated from its meaning by an absent tone and tempo.
  131.
  132. It's near inaudible under the battlecries.
  133.
  134. "Let's stay alive, okay?"
  135. (Peacekeeper)
  136. [19:16] Redemption is held high like a flag as he marched alongside Crafthold's forces; A banner meant to inspire those that march, yet have been fighting since the very beginning- even if that did not include many others than Master Dylerun.
  137.
  138. Redemption slams down into the pavement as the square is reached. Mercurial energies rage, clawing into the opposing forces and siphoning as much as he possibly could before they all would eventually scatter- away to fight whoever is found.
  139.
  140. Not much attention is paid onto the opposing forces other than a certain Shenglong, Amane Faoleng. Eyes narrow onto her before his head bobs down, nodding in her direction.
  141.
  142. But that was all; a mere acknowledgement of her existence.
  143. He remained steadfast, awaiting the opposing forces rather than charging into them.
  144.
  145. "Dreamer's grace to you all."
  146. (Aranel Keseth)
  147. [19:16] A legion of filth descends upon Ardent.
  148.
  149. Alongside those courageous and foolhardy enough to remain, Akio Koyanagi lurks amidst the ranks alongside his chosen Daemon in readiness to throw everything he had into repelling them. All traces of fear are surpressed, the Kitsune focusing upon why he had to be here.
  150.
  151. Their backs were to the wall, and the army of evil were so utterly deserving of punishment.
  152.
  153. His eyes shone with determination as a righteous anger seized a hold of his heart, the battle staff firm in his grip strengthening the involuntary magic that surged forth from his being-- true flames flickered to life about his form, hungry to burn the wicked away to ashes.
  154.
  155. "Demons! Villains! Traitors! Today you'll meet with justice!"
  156.
  157. He shakes his staff at the approaching army with the rest of them, narrowing his gaze and hoping to pick out a worthy target. There would be no mercy on this day, on either side.
  158.
  159. Let the bloodletting begin.
  160.
  161. (Akio Koyanagi)
  162. [19:16] She didn't honestly expect such a large group of them, her tail flicked from side to side, ears twitched, she wasn't going to let Ardent fall, not if she could do something about it.
  163.
  164. She'd simply take a deep breath. "Yet your ilk, involve Oscuri, defilers of what you claim to stand for." It was indeed, a blood letting ahead, Ardents streets and plants will be painted red, one way or another.
  165. (Maiya Shen)
  166. [19:17] Hell stretches and looks at the opposing side, he looks pretty bored. He takes a deep breath and relaxes for a moment as his chest begins to pump, he was getting into the groove.
  167. (Hell)
  168. [19:17] A place she once considered familiar.
  169.
  170. Two-handed gun in hand, Amoxtli followed along the march of non-magi soldiers, magi soldiers, and pure magi alike as they carved a pathway into the city of Ardent. They were on the way to meet with the enemy forces; alas, Amoxtli had never attended a TRUE war before. Simply raids.
  171.
  172. Gun charging in both hands, one that she didn't bother to take the bandages off of. She'd duck her head behind corners and prepare to fire shots at the encroaching ambush she predicted.
  173.
  174. Yet, they were facing them head-on. An.. a way of fighting too honorable for her to expect Ardent to even consider. Head cocked, she'd raise her voice, adding her own rallying cry into the voices of the many.
  175.
  176. "TO ARDENT-"
  177.
  178. "FUCK. YAH."
  179.
  180. Well, that was one way to keep it simple and concise.
  181. (Amoxtli)
  182. [19:18] At last. The day has come.
  183.
  184. Their march was one that could be noticed miles away- the fearsome army of Aetherius were making their way to the Ardent, intending to wipe it off the face of Agartha this time. For good.
  185.
  186. The storm was gathering. The sky had grown dark. The thunder of thousand boots marching on the ground, the roars of lesser demons that made up the rest of Gaiar's ranks- it was all an echo that was steadily approaching the eardrums of all that remained in Ardent.
  187.
  188. A mortal reminder of their fate.
  189.
  190. As soon as they made their way to Ardent's gates, and first attacks were launched against non-magi forces to breach the city, it was only all more fitting for the Archon to address his people in the eve of battle.
  191.
  192. With his gaze turned to his army, he spoke.
  193.
  194. "Heed my words, Aetherius."
  195.
  196. "They tremble as they hear our march. They shiver as they hear our voices. They despair upon the sight of our weapons."
  197.
  198. "Then let us feed their fears. Show no mercy to those that stand with Ikkaku- for we cannot co-exist while the serpent of Jianghu maintains its presence on Agartha."
  199.
  200. "Today, we shall put an end to this endless charade of lies and hypocrisy."
  201.
  202. "Today, we shall avenge every single one of ours that has fallen."
  203.
  204. "Onward. Rip and tear until it's done."
  205. (Zaruma)
  206. [19:19] Unfortunately, however- The demands of protecting his lady were immense.
  207.
  208. It was Eiphraem's duty to try to defend her, no matter how little she might theoretically need it. At the least, his liege would be able to devour who, what, and where she pleased- Not on the Jianghuren terms. His voice has a constant, light trill on the way there- Nervously alongside Amoxtli, alongside Peacekeeper.
  209.
  210. They were his. As long as they were together-
  211.
  212. "We'll be fine."
  213.
  214. Amidst the clash of war and the cries for help, Eiphraem finds himself AWARE, more than he once ever was, of what he was doing here-
  215.
  216. Well.
  217.
  218. Who he fought-
  219.
  220. Was in his hands. And nobody else's.
  221.
  222. Eiphraem's body trilled and thrilled, his conscious mind's objections to combat subsumed under predatory urges. His mouth opening wide, magi and nonmagi are dashed aside- Arms snapped, shoulders dislocated, paralyzed on the ground.
  223.
  224. Some might die of their wounds, but that was the nature of war.
  225. (Eiphraem Kang)
  226. [19:19] Perhaps this is the final battle, if they lose Ardent will succumb, it is the moment when the Archer most needs to show his strength.
  227.
  228. 'This time we have to give all of ourselves.' He said telepathically to Renata.
  229.
  230. 'Yes, I have chosen you for a purpose, you have proved yourself good enough over the years, so this time I will show you the true power of the past.' She answered.
  231. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  232. [19:19] Ka'vas shouts in a booming voice, "Perish!"
  233. [19:20] This had been a long day coming for Sibri.
  234.
  235. He made an enemy out of this city long ago, in the days of the Coalition. Now he was here to repay the debt. As he walked through the thousands of charging soldiers, the roar of battle was music to his ears. The sound of steel clashing, of magic in the air.
  236.
  237. "Do not fear death," he chimes aloud, his thorned, blue vines following him like serpents, "--It is the cycle. To perish, to release that sweet energy back into the world, to feed the soil with your lifeforce. Keh-keh-keh."
  238.
  239. "Come to me. I will bury many of you. Yes-yes."
  240.
  241. The Dryad's mascara-lined gazetook in the force that had gathered to stand in defense. A remkarable effort, he thought, and he could only hope that there was a worthy magi challenger among them to fight under the eyes of his ancestors. His eyes practically shone as he observed, like two flickering torches in the fading evening.
  242.
  243. This would be a long battle. How many days--how many dead? The Dryad was eager to find out.
  244.
  245. "Let's begin. Keeeh."
  246. (Sibri)
  247. [19:20] Tyrium shone in the pale morning light like a dazzling gem. Wings unfurled, never used nor needed before, but brought into her image- only to suit her statues all the better. Her horns reached towards heaven, both standing firm, though one seemed slightly paler than the others.
  248.
  249. The Archon Tragedy, as never seen before. Geared for war.
  250.
  251. Like a grim spectre of death she floated, unmoved by any speech, nor the desperate rallying cries of her foes. She simply stared forwards, her staff in one hand with its base planted in the air against invisible ground.
  252.
  253. There was nothing left to say. Everybody was making a grand debut.
  254.
  255. Only she knew the truth. This was not the last battle.
  256.
  257. So long as Order survived, it would be hunted across the earth.
  258.
  259. Her deathly aura said more than enough.
  260. (Tragedy)
  261. [19:21] The time has come...
  262.
  263. The battle for Ardent's survival, and as Gaiar approached, Nofaren felt the creep of death beginning to chill his spine. Fear of death has incased his well being as the different races began to frontline into Nofaren's sights.
  264.
  265. Collecting his cool, he'd embrace an aura of pure darkness that surrounded his body. He wanted to grab his staff with his left arm, but being it useless, he was unable to. Taking the occult and focusing on more and more of it's destructive path, Nofaren's lines on his cheek began to change color to a purple-ish color.
  266.
  267. The screams of fighters ready to fight, Nofaren remained calm waiting for the engage to happen, all ready for a blood shed. Readying himself to give up his life, not willingly, but forcefully as Arie stood within the crowd, expecting Nofaren to be there.
  268.
  269. "Mmph.."
  270.
  271. Visioning himself to cause destruction not only to Gaiar's troops but also to Ardent as well, the soldier only had waited for the battle to commence, and to see the lives of friends and enemies alike die at the hands of one another.
  272. (Nofaren)
  273. [19:21] Cassius stands with his comrades in Ardent's square, watching as the armies of Aetherius began advancing towards them. The smell of occult and smoke assaulted his nostrils.
  274.
  275. He couldn't help but remember the siege of Avalon, and how his first home had fallen. Things were different this time. He was much wiser than the naïve boy that fought alongside Shield on that day. He was much stronger than the budding Krausite that had learned from Paladin. While the spirit world could not be seen, he felt that their ghosts stood behind him today. Urging him to do what was right. To do what was just.
  276.
  277. Order magic flowed from his body, as if a floodgate of light had been opened. Golden rays shone from the cracks in Shield's armor, glinting off of Cullen's hammer.
  278.
  279. Now was the day he defended his home. Today he would act as the wall between this onslaught of depravity, and the purity of the church. Even if it killed him, for he had no more use for surrendering.
  280.
  281. "May Kraus be with you all, and a peaceful rest to the fallen."
  282. (Cassius Hallow)
  283. [19:23] Midia tenses up slightly. A swarm of ennemies passing through the mountains, marching toward Ardent.
  284.
  285. Frowning, Midia was readied for such an unfortunate amount of people suddently surging from anywhere. Not looking scared, but just mad and agitated she simply takes her staff and tenses up.
  286.
  287. The woman had no way to take down all of these foes by herself, but fortunately she had a large gathering of allies to help repel and hold what could be held.
  288.
  289. Scanning the crowd advancing forth, she begins checking for those she'll need to fight herself for now.
  290.
  291. Sensing their impending clash, she doesn't even speak or bring a speech as it would almost feel too ironic or disrespectful to her friends and foes.
  292.
  293. Words were long behind and none of hers would've reached any of the leaders. In the end, she could do nothing else than try and help against those that would threaten her allies.
  294.
  295. Though, a small curse escapes her lips.
  296.
  297. Blind idiots...
  298.
  299. Encasing herself in her usual thick aura of magic, she both mentally and physically readies herself for the worse.
  300. (Midia Di Maria)
  301. [19:24] Every life is precious.
  302.
  303. Tao heard Ikkaku shout those words. Every life is precious. Really? Except those in Crafthold. Except demons. Valmasians. Gehennans. His own.
  304.
  305. Today, we shall avenge every single one of ours that has fallen.
  306.
  307. And what of those you've killed, Zaruma? The innocents fed to the bloodlust of you and yours? Hypocrisy indeed.
  308.
  309.
  310. Tao would not fight. How could he advocate life while condoning - participating in death? He had spent his entire life in the pursuit of Progress, Truth, and Stability. War was the antithesis of all of these.
  311.
  312. But he could witness. He could help. He could do his best.
  313. (Tsing Tao)

  338. [19:24] Aina scurries to the arena hugging midia one last time. as she smiles before her.
  339. She looks upon those threatening her country as she stands beside her She then looks at those who have stolen, killed and murdered for their own personal gain. They forced there way into the country of ardent, and their magic.
  340.
  341. Aina then Slowly flips out her staff, as she writes ember engraving unto the ait smiling. the engraving reveals an image of jiewiehu and her quote.
  342.
  343. "Those who will live and fight for what they truly belive will never falter, for even in death theire message echoes."
  344. (Aina Fukui)
  345. [19:26] Kurochi Kirigaya whispers something.
  346. [19:26] Aina hugs midia once more before leaving. smiling at her and writing.
  347.
  348. "Go Kick their ass mom."
  349.
  350. as she giggles and smiles.
  351. (Aina Fukui)
  352. [19:33] The Lord of Aetherius knew very well that he'd be focused on the battlefield.
  353.
  354. And just as the clashing started, as the two armies marched against each other, he could already see the sights of Ikkaku charging against him- the attempts to bloodbend against Zaruma were met with immediate defence, and the Archon deflected. Yet-
  355.
  356. Before he knew it, yet another magi joined in, striking out against Zaruma. Quite the overwhelming odds he's been up against, and his gaze narrowed.
  357.
  358. Should he bother to stay around instead of leaving to see another day? Perhaps. But to flee infront of his army? That'd be unacceptable. As dire as this was, he decided to stand his ground.
  359.
  360. "Not even now you face me alone, Ikkaku- but instead, depend upon bringing backup. Humorous."
  361.
  362. The Arcane surged within him. The eyes of the Archon glowed in crimson, the gaze directed upon Ikkaku- while the presence of Hermes was noted, it was mostly disregarded.
  363.
  364. "Prepare yourself, Regent."
  365.
  366. "I've been waiting for this for a long time."
  367. (Zaruma)
  368. [19:35] Their bat was in hand, body slowly slinking forward alongside their friends. However as soon as the fighting started, they were immediately split apart. It was horrendous, they had no idea where to fight, no idea where to exactly go. Yet soon they found a large fight going on nearby...Yet it was definitely more then they could have ever asked for.
  369.
  370. In the air was an Archon, looking down upon the leader of Ardent. Hermes was suddenly shaken, they didn't know...Do they help, do they try to find another fight? Yet after a moment of inner-thoughts, it was decided...To protect the weak of Ardent, they must go after the leaders of the raid.
  371.
  372. Winds would flap around their body, a spontaneous breeze manifesting around them. Compared to the Archon however, the wind was practically nothing, they were a novice at such abilities compared to Zaruma. Yet truly that wouldn't hold back Hermes as with every second they'd start stepping closer to where the battle would take place.
  373.
  374. "I'll end you, you treacherous demon...save the weak of ardent..."
  375.
  376. Their voice was small, almost impossible to hear under the whispers of the wind around them. Yet even with such a shaken fear...They were still going to battle, for Ardent.
  377. (Hermes)
  378. [19:36] The bullets of blood sailed downwards, piercing into Gaiar's soilders as sky blue eyes looked through the battlefield. It wasn't just looking for anyone, it was looking for one in particular. A glow surrounds them, blue in color as a hand moved to their belt, producing a potion and downing it. Not much change can be seen underneath the maskings of cloth but the eyes narrow and squint while looking at the Archon.
  379.
  380. "Eleven years ago. You stormed Ardent with Gehenna and your armies, aimed at kidnapping civilians. You tore through people, hurt them in ways unimaginable. There is seven of us then, and you wounded us..
  381.
  382. No one else remembers that battle. Everyone else is gone.
  383.
  384. Past that, there was the time you attacked Ardent while the Coalition was your foe. I stood against you there, and I stand against you now. Back then.. I was weak. I couldn't defeat you. I tried and tried but just couldn't. And another was captured because of me.
  385.
  386. No the one who fought with me is gone, though I'm much less fond of them.
  387.
  388. Zaruma. You killed Ravan. I killed Somnus. We're both soilders. But you kill only out of selfishness, only out of rage and chaos. I.. intend to kill to protect people, to prevent monsters like you and Somnus from harming others."
  389.
  390. The Angelic wings hold Ikkaku aloft as their eyes closed. There was a small inhale.
  391.
  392. "Today.. Is the day you die.
  393.
  394. I've been waiting for this far longer then you have.
  395.
  396. ZAAAARUMAAAAAAA!"
  397.
  398. The call was yelled as the Regent dove forwards towards the Archon, a nod towards the one who had come to their side.
  399. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  400. [19:36] Idris Kang whispers something.
  401. [19:36] Sibri whispers something.
  402. [19:36] Sibri whispers something.
  403. [19:36] Sibri whispers something.
  404. [19:36] Sibri whispers something.
  405. [19:36] Idris Kang whispers something.
  406. [19:36] Idris Kang whispers something.
  407. [19:37] Hermes whispers: Btw, I'm going to immediately start the fight with a speed buff on ya/me)
  408. [19:42]
  409. {LOAD GAME}
  410.
  411. [19:45] {NARRATION} Zaruma may RP disabling the ally in R2, for a 1v1, if 2/3 of you are okay with that.
  412. [19:47]
  413. {LOAD GAME}
  414.
  415. [19:51] The Archon was easily overwhelmed; he already knew of Ikkaku's strength, but combined with another magi by his side? Even for Zaruma it was too much.
  416.
  417. Receiving hit after another, he could feel his life essence sapping away- essentially, he felt death nearing close, and he could feel how the scythe was getting heavier for him. Blood has covered him in purple shades, and the sounds were ringing in his ears- he wished to fight back, but could not.
  418.
  419. Dazed, wounded and on the verge of practically dying, he had to tap into his inner potential. No, he couldn't lose just like that... at least something had to be done.
  420.
  421. "No--"
  422.
  423. "NO!"
  424.
  425. While Ikkaku was a careful fighter with the large experience, Hermes had grown reckless- and that costed him ability to continue the fight. The glow of crimson glared at Hermes with almost a killer intent, enough to solidify his skin and cease his movement - if only for the Tempest to swoop by, strike him with his blade and blast him away with telekinesis.
  426.
  427. Essentially, Hermes was out of the fighting. Gasping and gripping his bleeding wounds, he glared at Ikkaku and spoke out.
  428.
  429. "This isn't over."
  430.
  431. The scythe was drawn.
  432. (Zaruma)
  433. [19:56] The sky blue eyes narrowed upon Zaruma as if the Regent had tunnel vision. Blood spun across the ground like petals, slicing and slicing into the Archon as Ikkaku themselves worked at putting space between them. There was a moment of pause however, eyes widening as a powerful force of telekinetic power flew their way;
  434.
  435. Only for Ikkaku to turn into mist and use the space to their advantage. Tough stone skin covered them as they took several steps back, bullets of blood having knocked Zaruma back but.. Hermes seemed to have been blasted away.
  436.
  437. ".. It is better to have such a brave soilder out of harm's way." The Regent stated as the blue glow around them grew more fierce. Small unremarkable spirits once more took Ikkaku's side as they drew closer to the tempest, vials of blood opening and forming a whip.
  438.
  439. "I'm going to stop you. I'm going to stop all you Archons from hurting innocent people ever again.. Zaruma.
  440.
  441. Let's end this."
  442. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  443. [19:59] ** Ikkaku Ukitake has inflicted an injury upon Zaruma. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  444. [20:07] The battle rages as blood, water, and sound tear into the Archon, the sky blue eyes staring into the creature's sockets as Spirits surrounded them and kept them pinned and open for any attack. Water pushed into the creature, carving through their chestplate and attempting to strike them down with success.
  445.
  446. Power flowed from Ikkaku's gloved hands, a barrage slamming into them at every moment. The force of benevolence didn't leave them, nor did let up. And then the final blow connects, sounds penetrating into the Archon's skull.
  447.
  448. It was a disorienting ringing which would drag Zaruma to their knees. Eardrums would bleed as if it were a shrieking banshee, and the damage would be quite lasting. Not for years but.. Perhaps for the entirety of the next year, sounds would be blurred or slurred together for the Archon.
  449.
  450. With that? The staff Telaman would come down, slamming into the face of the Archon as the Regent stared downwards towards them.
  451.
  452. "That was for Ravan."
  453.
  454. Blood miasma would slowly rise on the floor, moving towards Zaruma.
  455.
  456. "And this is for peace."
  457.
  458. Given Zaruma had likely seen Ikkaku in battles before, it was likely known that the rotting blood would very easily spell the end of anyone caught in it. However, it moved and was yet to connect.
  459.
  460. Would he be fast enough to escape?
  461. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  462. [20:15] Much like approaching a stationary, no matter how fast he was, Ikkaku successfully defended himself with the sound magics and blood magics that constantly circled him- no matter from which direction he approached, he was always met with the force to reckon with.
  463.
  464. And before yet another strike could be delivered against Regent, he found himself overwhelmed with the sound; if that weren't enough, the water magics have pushed against his chest, almost aiming to drill through Zaruma and end his existence.
  465.
  466. Thankfully, the body of the Archon was durable enough to withstand that and avoid dying. But- it was not enough to keep Zaruma on his feet.
  467.
  468. Inevitably, he found himself on the knees, if only to be slammed in the face with a staff. To feel this sick, this vulnerable as Archon... it stung deeper than physical pain alone could do. It was a sense of insecurity, of mortality that was reaching out to Zaruma.
  469.
  470. But he cackled. His crimson hues looked up at Ikkaku, their glare only intensifying with a second.
  471.
  472. "I remember you younger... so brave, but weak and naïve."
  473.
  474. "Now look at you... to force me on the ground like this- I suppose only being naïve stays."
  475.
  476. With that said, Ikkaku attempted to finish him off- giving it all, the hatred, the sheer anger he felt was focused down in a wave of Arcane energy, almost solidifying his wrists; if only for the Archon to deliver an upward kick to throw off his aim.
  477.
  478. --No doubt Ikkaku would attempt to re-direct blood and still strike Zaruma down, but that move gave him a split second to simply vanish. Much like an embodiment of wind that he is, the Tempest, although wounded, managed to escape the fatal blow.
  479.
  480. Speaking from the safe distance and covered in his purple blood, he exclaimed.
  481.
  482. "We might meet again, Ikkaku. One of us might fall, too."
  483.
  484. "But not today."
  485.
  486. Before Regent could hope to chase him down, Zaruma vanished, leaving Ikkaku alone to his devices.
  487. (Zaruma)
  488. [20:18] What a strange feeling, to be dressed for war yet meeting little resistance. The Archon Tragedy swept through the ranks at the head of the common folk as she always did, but this time... things were different.
  489.
  490. No magi of note dared to approach her.
  491.
  492. Soldiers died before they could hope to reach her- no blade touched her, no wayward fireball could pierce her defences. Ardent and Aetherius fought as she loomed through the battlefield, a spectre of darkness.
  493.
  494. Something caught her attention briefly. Archon, pushed back by Ikkaku- the Order magi seemed well tuned to deal with melee combatants. She watched him disappear in an instant, looking over the man. He was too far to reach... hundreds of soldiers stood in their way, and it was her arcane attunement more than anything that helped her notice them in the first place.
  495.
  496. "... It is doomed."
  497.
  498. Telepathically, she confronted Ikkaku- the images of the swarming battlefield around them both. The deaths of endless soldiers.
  499.
  500. "This place has fallen. And many more will. So long as you live, Ikkaku, we will chase your people to the ends of the earth.
  501.
  502. So do the right thing. The thing that Order begs of you. And off yourself quietly.
  503.
  504. Let this chapter end. Or continue reading to a bloody conclusion."
  505. (Tragedy)
  506. [20:21] Hermes whispers something.
  507. [20:21] Idris Kang whispers something.
  508. [20:25] The Arcane energy managed to throw off the aim of the Order magi and in that time Zaruma would disappear only to reappear a short ways away. The sky blue eyes narrow and squint towards the Archon as the wings give a singular flap. No expression could be read under that mask but.. It would be difficult to imagine anything but frustration.
  509.
  510. The chance to kill an Archon, to deal a large blow to Gaiar's morale.. Had failed once more. Blood would fly towards Zaruma, a last attempt to strike them down but as the Archon vanished it would be instead stuck to the nearby buildings.
  511.
  512. Only to hear another voice, another foe, though not for this battlefield. The sky blue eyes looked towards Tragedy.
  513.
  514. "This place has fallen. But hope will remain alive. You will chase my people down and I will strike you down in turn, and defeat the hordes of Archons that attempt to destroy the world.
  515.
  516. You tell me to do what Order begs of me? It begs me to keep fighting, to not give up until I've seen humanity's goodwill protected and not under the reign of Archons.
  517.
  518. I'm not one to give up."
  519.
  520. Ikkaku would move, darting around the field then to assist non-magi soilders and begin routing attacks or making ways for them to move, more accessable streets and the like.
  521. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  522. [20:32] Aina Fukui says, "What the fucl."
  523. [20:35] Casually walking back to Ardent, hands in pocket and a lifeless look in his eyes, the young Gehennan seeks to make Zaruma praise his efforts. He was unsure whether or not the Lord Regent had defeated him, but he sought to cheer him up with his own good news. Alongside Zaruma, he sought out Eiphraem and Tragedy in the crowd. His father would be proud.. maybe.
  524.
  525. "Mister Zaruma, I have vanquished the Ookami that caused you trouble earlier. He escaped without injury."
  526.
  527. Upon speaking those words, he realizes that.. there was nothing to be proud of. He looks down, but the raze of Ardent lifts his spirits up. He's gonna miss this place, even though the people here wanted to kill him.
  528. (Idris Kang)
  529. [20:36] Delane Blackwood says, "Fire..fire..Everything is on fire!..This was a good thing to wake up from.."
  530. [20:36] Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "...Hmph."
  531. [20:36] Victory.
  532.
  533. Sibri was rarely one to not indulge.
  534.
  535. When the soldiers retreat he is in pursuit--anyone that sought an escape was a prime target for the Dryad. His vines would bathe in their blood as he made to get lost in the joys of battle.
  536.
  537. "...It's better to die with a sword in your hand rather than an arrow in your back, you know Keheh! Come-come--return!"
  538. (Sibri)
  539. [20:37] As expected.
  540.
  541. With the enemies driven and the core of the army returning for further orders, the Archon looked over the forces. From beneath her helmet there was no more patience, no more pity. Time and again these humans stood, fighting blind for no reason other than their own insignificant emotions.
  542.
  543. "Destroy everything," she muttered. The orders were to kill everyone, yet she knew that her soldiers would probably spare any small children. It didn't matter. So long as she spoke it, the intention was clear.
  544.
  545. "Destroy it all. And understand- that this is not over. So long as Ikkaku and his ilk live, we will continue pushing. This never-ending nightmare has only just begun!"
  546. (Tragedy)
  547. [20:37] Delane Blackwood whispers something.
  548. [20:37] Delane Blackwood exclaims, "Uh..Burn it all and stuff!"
  549. [20:37] Tanka would look at the weak people. Tossing them to the side. It was a sad display. Watching Ardent people fall one by one. He would indeed need to get better than this. He would look and see people killing more and more. It was glorious.
  550.
  551. "Well then..."
  552.
  553. Tanka would rub his chin. He would then go run off to....find things.
  554. (Tanka)
  555. [20:37] -- Power, rivaled only by that of demons themselves.
  556.
  557. Around his form soldiers fell to their knees as illusions penetrated their minds, scorched and consumed by flames as he witnessed only the ending to this conflict. That familiar face from the beginning of it all, once a girl now a woman falling at the hands of those who understood what it meant to wield power. Those who had ascended for themselves, to a tier above any human.
  558.
  559. "No human can ever hope to stand against the might of Archons. No single being could ever dream to stand above those with power, such a putrid city built upon lies and fear of power will always accomplish nothing." His voice nothing more than a murmur as he continued to move forwards now. Flames, tainted by the touch of occultism consuming buildings all around.
  560.
  561. "Somnus. Those who hear my words, soldiers who march beneath the banner of the Dreadguard? Continue to search for anything our Lord may havepossessed."
  562.
  563. Their objective ringing clearly, still in his mind as he pushed further into the city. The scene with Amane and Eiphraem, for the moment tucked neatly away in his mind.
  564. (Lucan Illarian)
  565. [20:37] Bune walks back to the demon hordes.
  566.
  567. Carrying the recently deceased Cassius Hallow in his heads. His body scarred black and covered in melted metals.
  568.
  569. "Agartha prevails, yet again."(Bune)
  570. [20:37] Malgannan grins, blood dripping from his halberd. "Their defense was pathetic. Again. As expected... Their remnants will be purged soon enough."
  571. (Malgannan)
  572. [20:38] Well, this was shitty. Apparently Liu slept in late or something and missed the whole thing.
  573.
  574. Well, off to somewhere else.
  575. (Liu Shunjiao)
  576. [20:38] "DO NOT BURN THE PRISONS YET- FREE OUR CAPTIVE ONES FIRST."
  577.
  578. Amoxtli shouted, anxious, though DRENCHED in blood. She'd fly through the crowd of friend and foe, attemoting to seek out certain individuals.
  579.
  580. She needed to speak quickly, so her message was repeated a few times.
  581. (Amoxtli)
  582. [20:38] Damn...
  583.
  584. Awa was right Ardent was fucked. Mythran wasted no time he got the fuck out of Ardent.
  585.
  586. "Wow... We fucking suck..."
  587. (Mythran Yugao)
  588. [20:38] Kantyi says, "Ack. Ishmael.."
  589. [20:39] There is no care for the aftermath. For chasing down fights that don't matter.
  590.
  591. Qiao just silently and without a word, cut up and bruised but overwhelmingly victorious, meanders herself somewhat casually closer to Tragedy.
  592.
  593. For once, there is pride in her idle stance. For once, she feels like she is worth something. For once, she can feel purpose.
  594.
  595. And that's all she thinks is needed.
  596. (Qiao)
  597. [20:39] Zamara headed back to where everyone had gathered, spewing flames upon the various buildings, people, kids, even the pets, she did not care, if it was not Gaiar, or one of their allies, she would burn it.
  598.
  599. After everyone had gotten near after she stopped her little walk and burn, she loudly said "You all have done well, good work."
  600. (Zamara)
  601. [20:40] Ardent was seized, and that much is very much enough to make it all worthwhile. Pushing through the people in the crowds with stains of blood on her features, her teeth lashed and she would snarl, snapping in any direction that she could. Her prey had escaped.
  602.
  603. Nofaren had escaped, and she was supposed to be out for his blood. The taste of blood on her tongue, she couldn't find him... Where had he gotten lost to?
  604.
  605. Teeth harshly snapped in the direction of all those around. Ripping her fingers into whatever she could find, she would burst forward as she dashed through.
  606.
  607. Now to find Ishmael-- with another soldier's arm chomped down between her mythril teeth.
  608.
  609. Scoot!
  610. (Raegan Illarian)
  611. [20:40] Zaruma returned to his people, true, but he was injured rather badly- the battle with Regent didn't come light on him, and considering the magics that were well tuned to combat martial prowess, he lost.
  612.
  613. The Lord of Aetherius has returned defeated from his personal battle, covered mostly in purple blood rather than crimson one- the constant ringing in his ears from the remaining sound magic has prompted him dazed, and he spoke rather languidly.
  614.
  615. "--You heard the orders."
  616.
  617. "Destroy the Ardent, and do not allow their forces to escape."
  618.
  619. On that note, the Archon seems to have walked off elsewhere amidst the combat- his gaze lingered to the living houses, seeking out something amidst the large population.
  620. (Zaruma)
  621. [20:40] He didn't get to do much, really.
  622.
  623. Hands shoved inside his pockets and darkened flames swirling across as he'd slowly trudge along, gaze darting back and forth between the multiple non-mages he slaughtered in his wake-- scorching their bodies to very core, leaving nothing but hell's flames embracing whatever surrounded him.
  624.
  625. It was pretty one-sided war in general, if anything.
  626.
  627. He could already see the way citizens fled-- and those who couldn't? Slaughtered. Innocent or not, but annihilated with no remorse, and...
  628.
  629. ...it was amazing, honestly.
  630.
  631. Lips tugged upwards into bit of a grin, head tilting around to take in the sight before he'd just shrug a little bit, making his way over to the prisons--
  632.
  633. --well, Ishmael first.
  634. (Ruby)
  635. [20:40] They rushed back into Ardent from their area of battle, armour was practically melted to their body from their fight, ruined, alongside their hardly working bat. It had been intense and now as they were coming to help the innocent, to protect the weak...They saw it.
  636.
  637. Children, women, men...All being slaughtered. Hermes wanted to rush forth, wanted to dive into the forces to save them, yet...They knew, if they were to go down there now, they'd be slaughtered in the blink of an eye. Roaming magi were everywhere, razing the buildings.
  638.
  639. It was then that Hermes turned, and bolted off into who knows where to live another day.
  640. (Hermes)
  641. [20:40] Cherimoya huffed and puffed, rushing back towards the war party with her foe gripped tightly by a mass of crawling vines. She looked tired-- But happy none-the-less! Humming her tune, she eventually comes to a stop and looks all around.
  642.
  643. Immediately, she pales.
  644.
  645. This was not what she had expected, not at all. Clutching both hands into tight fists, her eyes take in the sight of the city's destruction. It was all...Beautiful. No longer would this land harbor humans, no longer would it be tarnished by the unsettling amount of houses in this settlement-- NO!
  646.
  647. A forest would likely grow, and she just could not wait.
  648.
  649. "Wooow...What an amazing turn out, huh?!"
  650.
  651. Looking back to her victim, Cheri would pout. "Oh right, you just...Just sit tight my friend! It'll all be over soon, I promise! Relax..."
  652.
  653. As if he had any choice in the matter.
  654. (Cherimoya)
  655. [20:40] Aura on, Aura off. Aura on, Aura off..
  656.
  657. It seems the pride sin was correct- Randy would be no different than the other magi that trampled the city. It was bitterness as this defeat that lead towards violence, a poor loser, the mere thought that he had almost broken his promise to Yi, if he had fought an opponent that wasn't a child...
