1) Lack of adequate infrastructure. Why does the power and cable service "blink" every time a drop of rain falls?

2) Misappropriated funds. Wouldn't it be better bragging righ......ts to better fund the schools (and avoid the threat of closing GOOD schools) rather than worrying about making the downtown area look like it was stuck in a time warp? Or what about the idea of hiring Human Services people who actually practice their field rather than using clients as cash cows and means to statistics that earn them more state/federal funding ... do they not realize rubber-stamp enrolling people in services they don't need costs taxpayers (you know, the working people) money?

3) Abuse of power. Visit Franklin sometime and experience one of most of the police. Or, experience the court system, where justice for all equals "how much money can we make off you." The only ones who get justice here are the ones who can afford to buy the system off!

4) Suspension of Constitutional rights. Venango County or not, the area is still for the moment part of America --that is, until America kicks it the fuck out. Why do court officials advise people to do things that infringe on Due Process or are only in the interest of the municipality. Didn't anyone ever hear about "Of the people, for the people, by the people???" Most of us would prefer to screw in the bedroom, not be fucked by a legal system our tax dollars fund.

5) Lack of things. Ever wonder why people leave? Maybe its because not everyone wants to be a backwoods guide. Try letting someone build something for people to do that doesn't involve hunting, fishing, bars, or church. Something besides the jail that is, morons.

6) Violation of the principal of separation of church and state. Really people, this is a county, not your private sanctuary. Accept the fact that not everyone is going to practice the same beliefs as you, and even you're going to have to accept that maybe some *gasp* practice no formal religion at all. Your own religions tell you not to hate people, but you do it every day.

7) Stuck in the past. Ever wonder why new types of businesses never succeed here or quickly move away? Maybe its because there are 1850s area mentality nutters who are the ones deciding what would be good for people. Defender Technologies would have been good for this town, guess what, even recent college graduates wouldn't move here for entry-level jobs for 30-40k to start. Maybe there's a reason most the world moved on: it was time to, stop hitting pause on the clock, Venango County, it's 2010, not 1850 .. and for goodness sake, the Rewind button doesn't work either!

8) Decadence of hypocrisy. "Good" people do not hate others for being different. "Good" people do not damn people who are not clones of themselves. And, "good" people do not smile and act all fucking holy every Sunday morning then spend the other 6.5 days doing worse things than the 'evil" people their churches talk about do. Oh, and really good people do not tell people over Christmas dinner that other should be praying for our President to die. Wake up holy roller, you're "going to hell" faster than any of the rest of us.

9) Ignorance. Lack of understanding is ok for some because osme people just aren't so bright. But, in any area, shouldn't at least the "smart" people or leaders have a fucking clue? Repetition of the same mistaken policies and acts year after year doesn't make you look determined, it lets us know your even stupider than we thought the year before.

10) Negligence. This area is so clueless about reality that it took years of denying before they could accept there were problems. Look at heroin and the oxycontin abd crack dealers that so easy saturated the area because no one in charge would admit there was a problem or focus a solution on the actual problem. Instead, they waited until kids were dropping off 2-3 at a time before they start their self pity of "why this area?" Face it, its because this area is fucking retarded and neglects anything of importance just to keep up the pretense of being a sweet, livable area instead of the hemorrhoid infested corn hole it it really is.
