  1. [10:05 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: With everyone around, then let us begin. Let me tell you about a place, a place a few dozen miles southward from the city of Ahrimal, then.
  2. [10:05 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: shh, i got higher marks than you in psyhics
  3. [10:05 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The village of Denstead is really just a couple of small houses in the treeline of the Verdant Forest. They are largely hunter-gatherers, with very little to their name. The villagers of Denstead once had a pioneer knight who claimed the piece of land in which their village resides on, but the pioneer knight has since died of old age without a heir, and the land was given to the Kingdom of Ahrimal in the official capacity.
  4. [10:05 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: A splinter group of the Greenwood Bandits, of which call themselves the militia of the forest, chanced upon Denstead's location a few months ago. At first it was fairly neutral in term of contact, with the villagers not wanting trouble and the Greenwood Bandits not having much want and need from the village. However, in recent weeks the village of Denstead has become more pressed by the Greenwood Bandits to give them tribute, and to leave the village. Not wanting to lose their home, the villagers realize they need help from some other kind souls, and thus send a runner to the city of Ahrimal, requesting aid.
  5. [10:06 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil Denver, the runner that the village sent, is more than willing to act as the party's guide to Denstead and the surrounding region that he's familiar with. Mil is a human, around the age of 12 or so, but has tried to reassure the party that he knows the region like the back of his hand. "I've been in the forest for my entire life, and has been picking fruits and nuts since I was old enough to climb trees. No worries, guv's, I know this place like the back of my hand!" ... (That said, if the party wishes to locate Denstead with Mil's direction instead of bringing the kid with them, Mil is willing to stay around Ahrimal and look for other people to help, just in case the party fail to help the villagers.)
  6. [10:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: For the time being, however, the lot of you would be gathering at an agreed-upon spot in the southern part of the city of Ahrimal, near one of the southern gate. The Plaza of Salamander is a good location for adventurers to gather and resupply before heading out, for example, with some shops and peddlers on the side of the plaza and leading directly out of Ahrimal. Most people who aims to travel toward the Verdant Forest go through the Plaza of Salamander. If people prefer a drink and some sit-down time, the Sparrow's Song is a nearby tavern. The tavern's owner is one of the Children of Elsewhere, and the flocks of wooden albatrosses underneath the tavern's signature singing sparrow is almost comedic.
  7. [10:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: .... To help expedite the party's goals, Elliot, you've been given a small pouch of gold, numbering 50 gold pieces, to help the party outfit themselves, if there are any necessary gears that you folks might be missing. The money isn't from your client, who's just a little kid, but rather the Firebloom family looking out for Camellia and her companions. This isn't the first time that they've done so, either; Every time that the noble girl venture out to some sort of danger, her father always go to Elliot with various amount of money, scraped from the coffer and connections. Camellia may or may not know about her father doing this, of course.
  8. [10:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You may make the necessary purchase and preparation, and choose to bring Mil with you or not.
  9. [10:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Under the broken sky, the wind of change blows, sweeping along the young pioneers. What will the journey ahead be like for the young adventurers? Campaign "Broken Sky" begins!
  10. [10:08 AM] Eon: ( :excitedfish: )
  11. [10:08 AM] Eon: (Hmm. Does anyone need anything?)
  12. [10:08 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (It's a bit dry of an intro.)
  13. [10:08 AM] Mizuki: (Guys, first thing, pls post sheets, I don't remember all your names/classes :sadpopo:)
  14. [10:09 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xUTc15rk3j74wxJpawBnSdpskBQVtKdVwswsyRop_XQ/edit(edited)
  15. [10:09 AM] Mizuki: (noice)
  16. [10:09 AM] Mizuki: (thanks)
  17. [10:09 AM] Faerie: (That last paragraph of the intro sounded so japanese, Koga)
  18. [10:09 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (That last paragraph of the intro sounded so japanese, Koga) (2)
  19. [10:09 AM] Bot Fodder: (Ahaha. It did!)
  20. [10:09 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (It was largely lifted from Log Horizon TRPG's catchphrase.)
  21. [10:09 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (So yes. :ok_hand: )
  22. [10:10 AM] Eon: (Otherwise, we can set off immediately, though whether or not we bring the kid or not..)
  23. [10:10 AM] Mizuki: (tanoshii!)
  24. [10:10 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Without objection, you would all meet in the Plaza of Salamander, then.
  25. [10:11 AM] Bot Fodder: (No objections here.)
  26. [10:11 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (I'll follow where ever you go, Ojou-sama, Elliot-sama)
  27. [10:11 AM] Eon: First things first. Elliot evaluates the little kid.
  28. "Do you have any combat experience, child?" He doubted it, but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask.
  29. [10:12 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil stares at Elliot for a moment, wide-eyed, without blinking for a moment. "Uh, combat, guv? I've chased my share of squirrels and ran from a bear before..."
  30. [10:13 AM] Eon: Hmm. Not any good against brigands. He sideglances at Camellia. Was it really a good idea?
  31. [10:14 AM] Faerie: (What's the weather right now?)
  32. [10:14 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The kid runs a hand through his dirty, matte hair, scratching. "If I am to be of any use in a fight, it'd just be with a sling and staying out of your ways, guv."
  33. [10:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The weather? Clear, sunny, and just a bit after mid autumn.
  34. [10:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's nice and cool without a sense of chill yet.
  35. [10:15 AM] Mizuki: Camellia adjusts her black hair, staring at the little boy and playing casually with her sheated blade's hilt. - "Mil, was it?" - She asked sweetly. - "Those bandits won't be happy with what you did, coming to the city looking for help. Is your family all there back in the village?"
  36. [10:16 AM] Eon: (can Laiofe track people from a description alone? Might be useful from the kid)
  37. [10:16 AM] Faerie: Enter Laiofe of the black body and crimson eyes! Silver lining goes down his limbs and joints, coating small sections of them with some sheen. He claims it's authentic silver when and (or if) asked. More striking is the insignia on his chest - the Symbol of all Children without a place to call home, wings outstretched like birds are supposed to have. He runs a thumb along the self-inflicted 'mark', and it shines for an instant under the sun.
  38. [10:16 AM] Faerie: (Can do)
  39. [10:16 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil nods, his eyes looking at Camellia curiously, before he crack into a bright smile. "Mostly, though our village elder's been trying to talk with 'em Green Wood brigands, and hasn't returned yet."
  40. [10:17 AM] Eon: "... Could you kindly describe him to my friend over here?" Elliot motions to the tin can.
  41. [10:18 AM] Bot Fodder: "It would grieve me to hear that one so young were pressed into service," muses the tall woman in the back of the group. She approaches the boy with a welcoming smile while silently taking stock of him. "Your guidance, however, would certainly be of aid. No doubt you are concerned for your elder."
  42. [10:18 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil, as a kid without much of anything but his speed and experience in the woods, doesn't seem to fear Laiofe much. The same cannot be said for kids in the city, of course.
  43. [10:18 AM] Faerie: With the group's permission, he approaches the farm hand trying not to startle him, squatting down to his level. ''Amen to that'' in response to Camellia, ''You've got moxie coming all the way here, kid. You did well.''(edited)
  44. [10:19 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: "If i may, Ojou-sama, with my experience with Bandits, they never hold negotiations. The village Elder is most likely being held hostage, or has been killed" Rein interrupted
  45. [10:19 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Mm? No, guv, it's just that I do as I am told, and I am the smallest and fastest of the village." Mil blinks, explaining the reason that they sent him. Though whether that is really true or not remains to be seen.
  46. [10:20 AM] Eon: (>actually saying ojou-sama)
  47. [10:20 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (roleplay desu)
  48. [10:20 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Ah, yes! I am one of the bravest, fastest, and strongest of the village, after all!" Mil grins, beaming with a happy smile. The other villagers must've treated him well.
  49. [10:21 AM] Mizuki: "Father always says some people are just not worth talking to." - Said the girl upon hearing the boy and Rein's words, worried. - "You probably should stay back and wait for us, Mil, those people are dangerous."
  50. [10:21 AM] Eon: Very well. Though Elliot himself had concerns whether the kid would be fine alone in the city.
  51. [10:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "As for the village elder, tis a dangerous world out there, livin' in the woods. If he does fall, it would be sad, but I am sure our elder's ready for the possibility when he went and talked with them. I would like to find out, m'self, though." Mil says.
  52. [10:22 AM] Mizuki: (Also, just saying, Camellia is wearing a fancy red cloak with the firebloom coat of arms and a painted shield)
  53. [10:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Hm. Elliot, give me an insight.
  54. [10:22 AM] Faerie: (What's the coat of arms look like)
  55. [10:22 AM] Eon: roll 1d20+2 first roll of campaign goes to me
  56. [10:22 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 4, Result: 6
  57. [10:22 AM] Eon: (and its a looooow roll)
  58. [10:22 AM] Mizuki: (a dragon with open wings with a flower for it's heart)
  59. [10:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mhmm.
  60. [10:23 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Well, 12-years old is old enough to drink and marry.
  61. [10:23 AM] Eon: Oh dear.
  62. [10:23 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: While he isn't exactly the image of a paragon of responsibility, or anything, Mil should be fine if you just asked him to stay in the city.
  63. [10:23 AM] Eon: Fair enough. Shall we set off?
  64. [10:24 AM] Eon: (I've been glaring at PHB for a bit)
  65. [10:24 AM] Eon: Err, 5 manacles.
  66. [10:24 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: wew
  67. [10:25 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You may make purchase with your own money or with the party's coffer if you wish.
  68. [10:25 AM] Faerie: ''There's a place you could stay at - I know the owner well'', Laiofe reassures the kid. ''But that's your call. Can you duck when you're told to duck?''
  69. [10:25 AM] Eon: I-I have no money left over from char creation ;-;
  70. [10:25 AM] Faerie: (Manacles are a good investment)(edited)
  71. [10:25 AM] Bot Fodder: (Damn it, I knew I forgot something. Erm, I'll ask about the common magic item later.)
  72. [10:26 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil nods at Laiofe. "Fairly confident, as long as we ain't playing Simon Says, guv."
  73. [10:27 AM] Mizuki: Camellia thinks for a moment, and approaches the boy. She gives him the location of the current Firebloom's family house. - "Tell them Camellia sent you, you need a place to stay until we're done."
  74. [10:27 AM] Faerie: (Oh god my base AC is 12-1, send help)
  75. [10:27 AM] Eon: How generous. Though, what were the Fireblooms if not generous?
  76. [10:28 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil looks at the nice lady for a moment, before nodding. "Well, I'll go off and do some odd jobs around the city, if you think that I should stay in the city instead." He smiles. "Best of luck to you guvs, and thanks for listening to my request."
  77. [10:28 AM] Faerie: ''Good enough for me!'' He plops down a hand onto his hair, messing it up before looking at Camellia.
  78. [10:28 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: He does a clumsy bow toward the party.
  79. [10:28 AM] Bot Fodder: The coated woman (probably?) clears her throat lightly, her tone level. "Young Mil here says he is sure footed, and I see no reason to doubt him. Who knows? Today could be the day a brave lad saves his village. I defer to Lady Firebloom's judgement, of course."
  80. [10:29 AM] Faerie: He pings her telephatically right after. |You sure about that? Family business is family business, but well. He took it well at least.|
  81. [10:30 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Mil is considerate enough to give you folks some time to decide and do your shopping, anyhow.
  82. [10:30 AM] Eon: (oh my god you have telepathy I just remembered)
  83. [10:30 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you do leave Mil behind, you'll be going to the area of Denstead on your own with only verbal direction given. Though it isn't very hard to follow.
  84. [10:31 AM] Eon: technically, I want to buy a crowbar and 10 foot pole, but err..
  85. [10:31 AM] Eon: Elliot wouldn't.. :sadpopo:
  86. [10:32 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: From Mil's description, though, getting to Denstead in the first place will take a day and half, to start with.
  87. [10:32 AM] Eon: "That's awfully morbid, my lady."
  88. [10:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's roughly 30 miles or so away from the south gate of Ahrimal. Mind you, Ahrimal is a sprawling metropolis where getting through the entire walled city and all its district would take days, as well, what with several large area for alchemical experimentation and institutions...
  89. [10:33 AM] Runic: Sully ends up nodding to Elliots comment. "At least she refrained from talking about that part in front of a young'in" he says nervously chuckling
  90. [10:34 AM] Runic: "But as she said, I agree. Best he stay somewhere safe for now."
  91. [10:34 AM] Bot Fodder: | I doubt he'd be useful to the bandits, whether to lure would-be heroes or as a slave. But he could still have uses. | A chime like ice sounds in the psychic's head.(edited)
  92. [10:34 AM] Mizuki: "Forgive-me, Elliot, I'm just worried. If they find out Mil went out looking for help..." - She stopped, turning to Rein. She's sure a battle hardened fighter like him would understand.
  93. [10:34 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: When the party is ready, you can depart. It's not like it won't take forever and half to get there. :nicosmug:
  94. [10:34 AM] Eon: "Perfectly understandable, of course." Elliot nods. It was sound logic.
  95. [10:34 AM] Faerie: Verbal direction and a rough idea of where the elder would be enough, if Laiofe had any say in the matter. He casts his mind away into a road of thoughts, the same one that gave him its name: the noosphere. (Begin focusing on Locate Creature)
  96. [10:35 AM] Faerie: His eyes shut off in the meantime, though he is there.
  97. [10:35 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Well, Mil would have no idea, but you can likely start your investigation in Denstead.
  98. [10:35 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for Locate Creature...
  99. [10:36 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: What's the range for it?
  100. [10:36 AM] Faerie: There is none :sadpopo:
  101. [10:36 AM] Bot Fodder: "The Lady's wisdom is impeccable," Rowan says, bowing gracefully. She has all her supplies ready.(edited)
  102. [10:36 AM] Faerie: You only need to be on the same plane
  103. [10:36 AM] Bot Fodder: (The psionic memes begin?)
  104. [10:37 AM] Faerie: (Here)
  105.
  106. [10:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
  107. [10:37 AM] Mizuki: (PSIONICS™)
  108. [10:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Your mind trails off elsewhere -not Elsewhere, but rather to a place far, far away from where you are, Laiofe.
  109. [10:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Wandering, seeking, you see what appears to be a stone structure, opening downward.
  110. [10:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: A ruin, it seems.
  111. [10:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  112.
  113. [10:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Scale of the map is 2 miles per square)
  114. [10:38 AM] Mizuki: (SUGOI)
  115. [10:38 AM] Eon: (production)
  116. [10:39 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Your mind seems to locate the village elder's location to be somewhere northwest of Denstead.
  117. [10:39 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Given cross examination, it would be somewhere within the ruin.
  118. [10:39 AM] Faerie: (When you try to change tabs and accidentally close Discord)
  119. [10:40 AM] Eon: Elliot briefly considers.
  120. "My companions, should we come across bandits on our way, I assume we'll be attacking to subdue?"
  121. [10:40 AM] Faerie: If only it was his Elsewhere, huh? 'A ruined complex. Makes sense.', Laiofe talks to himself taking internal note of the landscape painted in his mind.
  122. [10:40 AM] Eon: ... He did buy these manacles for a reason, as garish as they were.
  123. [10:41 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "It would be from before the Fall, guv!" Mil helpfully added. "We weren't allowed to go there, so I only drop by there once in a while. Occasionally a bear or wolf or the like take residence up in there."
  124. [10:42 AM] Bot Fodder: "With the Lady's leave, that seems reasonable," says Rowan. For an instant, one could swear she rolled her eyes before speaking...
  125. [10:43 AM] Mizuki: Camellia smiles, her left hand resting on her waistline. She's quite curious about the ruins too. Before the fall huh? That was ancient. - "Leave it to us Mil, we will bring your Elder back. Needless to say, we fight if it comes to it." - She nodded.
  126. [10:43 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil nods.
  127. [10:43 AM] Faerie: ''Unless they've got hostages or put anyone else in danger, yeah. Or until they run.'' One thing he's learned during his short stay in this Here, is that bandits aren't often prepared to deal with big fish.
  128. [10:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: That is, they are normal bandits.
  129. [10:44 AM] Faerie: ''I'll give them something they've never had the pleasure of stealing before: a real fight'', he ends with a flick of the wrist.
  130. [10:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: But those Greenwood "Militia" is fairly infamous in the city of Ahrimal.
  131. [10:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Different rumors exist, of course.
  132. [10:44 AM] Bot Fodder: (Kogasa, can I roll History for those?)
  133. [10:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sure, History for general information on Greenwood Militia.
  134. [10:45 AM] Bot Fodder: roll 1d20+2
  135. [10:45 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 20, Result: 22
  136. [10:45 AM] Bot Fodder: (First roll of the game :excitedfish: )
  137. [10:45 AM] Mizuki: (YESSS)
  138. [10:45 AM] Eon: (second!)
  139. [10:45 AM] Runic: (That goes to Eon baka!)
  140. [10:45 AM] Mizuki: (it begins!)
  141. [10:45 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The Greenwood Militia, as they call themselves, aren't exactly a tight-knit group, and has been operating in the Verdant Forest for a few decades.
  142. [10:45 AM] Bot Fodder: (Oh, wait, right.)
  143. [10:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Their members consists of mostly humanoids, humans, elves, and half-elves in particular.
  144. [10:46 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (I wonder who's gonna roll first flumble of the day)
  145. [10:46 AM] Faerie: (My first attack roll ever was a crit, that explains everything after...)
  146. [10:46 AM] Eon: (no one, since that's not a thing :smugpopo: )
  147. [10:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are many smaller operations, and they unite under the reasoning that Ahrimal, the city and kingdom, is a poison to the land.
  148. [10:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Not that alchemy is evil, but rather that Ahrimal's presence is harmful to the land.
  149. [10:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The organization called themselves Militia, because they believe that their militant actions of removing Ahrimal is truly a part of the will of the land, and they are doing good works.
  150. [10:47 AM] Faerie: What's their general reputation? It's a big bunch, so it might depend on the particular group, but anything that can be said of them as a whole?
  151. [10:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Their moments, obviously, contains druids and rangers as well as common bandits, and their quality reallllllly varies.
  152. [10:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Some of them are like Robin Hood, would be known for helping local communities within the forest, even.
  153. [10:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Others, well - kidnaps and removes villages.
  154. [10:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Now, for that 22.
  155. [10:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Greenwood Militia within the region is a splinter cell headed by an elven ranger specializing in humanoid. The elven blademaster and Horizon Walker, Telrin Greenwood, considers the region of Ahrimal to be rightfully part of the elven heritage, and the city itself is stopping the Verdant Forest from expanding north. To Telrin, Ahrimal was a mistake. While not everyone in the Greenwood Militia feel the same way, and even the folks within the cell don't usually see things the way Telrin do, his charisma and ability with blades means that nobody really doubt him and what he can do should they oppose him.
  156. [10:49 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: In addition...
  157. [10:49 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The druids and rangers of Greenwood employ Giant Owls as mounts and allies. The intelligent and majestic creatures have their habitats threatened by the Alchemists of Ahrimal recently, and have decide as a race overall to help the Greenwood Militia, who promise they will negotiate with Ahrimal at the very least.
  158. [10:49 AM] Eon: (does this guy also always miss with a longbow)
  159. [10:49 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Unfortunately... He's a melee type.)
  160. [10:50 AM] Bot Fodder: Hmm. 'Militia' is a fitting term to be used by those 'freedom fighters' who feel the need to speak out for their honor. But if this group has some semblance of professionalism, the odds of the elder being alive just went up. She passes this information on to the group. "We should be prepared for a more disciplined foe than expected."
  161. [10:50 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Telrin Greenwood's reputation precedes him. There's a large bounty on his head somewhere, surely, and more than one known pioneer knights has met their end in Telrin's hand.
  162. [10:51 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
  163. [10:51 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  164. [10:51 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 18, Result: 18
  165. [10:51 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Laiofe.
  166. [10:51 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You know something that the others don't.
  167. [10:51 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Telrin Greenwood took the last name after joining the Greenwood Militia, claiming he's from the elven isles. Some members of the Greenwood Militia from the company, however, know him to be a lost Children of Elsewhere, seeking portals after portals. His face mask is emblazoned with albatross on the inside.
  168. [10:51 AM] Mizuki: Camellia nods, aknowledging Rowen. She's learned to trust her information long ago, the girl really knew her way around.
  169. [10:52 AM] Faerie: Oooh.
  170. [10:52 AM] Faerie: (That's some pretty spicy dirt)
  171. [10:52 AM] Bot Fodder: (Neat  )
  172. [10:52 AM] Eon: (oooh.)
  173. [10:52 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: ()
  174. [10:52 AM] Faerie: ''If you say so, that also means they're better organized than our usual bandits. There's something you should know, though...''
  175. [10:53 AM] Bot Fodder: Rowan raises an eyebrow.
  176. [10:53 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for the elder's safety... Well, you might have a few days.
  177. [10:54 AM] Faerie: ''That Greenwood guys, much like yours truly, is wearing a mask. He's not from Fallshire, is what I gather.'' Laiofe goes into detail on the rest of the information, as well.
  178. [10:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you go off for a few days seeking this or that instead, though, that wouldn't be the case.
  179. [10:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It depends on their end goal.
  180. [10:55 AM] Faerie: ''We're cut from the same cloth, so it should be obvious where his preoccupations lie. Could it be that he's looking for Home?''
  181. [10:55 AM] Faerie: Do we know what an Horizon Walker is, roughly?
  182. [10:55 AM] Eon: Hmm. Curious. Would that have anything to do with the village, or ruins, Elliot postulates.
  183. [10:55 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Well, you can say with a level of certainty that Telrin is something of a legend, at least, Laiofe.
  184. [10:56 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Horizon Walker - well, mostly.
  185. [10:56 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It can be considered as a basic, public information.
  186. [10:56 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: And you would know by instinct that he's a Ranger.
  187. [10:56 AM] Mizuki: A children of elsewhere. Camellia knows the pain of losing her ancestral home, but losing an entire world... Is a complete different thing. Not knowing what happened to your family, everyone you cared about, must really do things to a person.
  188. [10:57 AM] Faerie: Indeed it does! It fucks you up, fam.
  189. [10:58 AM] Mizuki: (anyone wants to buy something?)
  190. [10:58 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You wouldn't know for sure either way, unless you have a way to pry the information from the aether, Elliot.
  191. [10:58 AM] Eon: (nah, we're good to go, I believe)
  192. [10:58 AM] Bot Fodder: "... Interesting." A subtle charge of electricity settles into the Half-Elf's handsome smile. "This could explain the regional Militia's unusual actions. Mil, do you know the woods well? Have you noticed anything unusual as of late?"
  193. [10:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Considering that they weren't initially hostile to the village, there must've been something that changed the picture, somehow.
  194. [10:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil nods.
  195. [10:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well, uh, there's more people rustling in the woods, and the occasional... Stench? in the wood."
  196. [11:00 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil can't quite place it, only noting that there's recently been something unnatural stirring in the wood. "Elsewise, it's the usual fare. Owls, bears, owlbears..."
  197. [11:00 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Is Owlbear even natural? Well.
  198. [11:00 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Owlbear wut)
  199. [11:01 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Owlbear, a distant cousin of bearowls.)
  200. [11:01 AM] Bot Fodder: (Whatever you're picturing is probably right.)
  201. [11:01 AM] Runic: (half owl, half bear. Though not to be confused for bearowls)(edited)
  202. [11:01 AM] Eon: (owl face bear body)
  203. [11:01 AM] Eon: (it literally is)
  204. [11:01 AM] Eon: (also purple, for some reason)
  205. [11:01 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Mhmm - as noted somewhere, it's one of those "teehee we fucked up" moment by Ahrimal, and the Owlbears escaped to the wild and repopulated.)
  206. [11:01 AM] Mizuki: "Stench?" - She asked. - "How does it smell like?"
  207. [11:02 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mil thinks.
  208. [11:02 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d100
  209. [11:02 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d100]: 99, Result: 99
  210. [11:02 AM] Mizuki: Describing smells has always been a difficult task, but it's worth asking!
  211. [11:02 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: "I doubt Owlbears is even a native subspecies of the forest" Rein says
  212. [11:02 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Like... LIke funeral, but one that didn't happen for a long time because of disease, guv."
  213. [11:02 AM] Faerie: (I used to think owlbears looked like those weird things that hang around hobgoblins)
  214. [11:02 AM] Bot Fodder: (>99 >"It smells like a Tarrasque")
  215. [11:02 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Like rotting corpses, like the stench of something that's been dead."
  216. [11:02 AM] Eon: Elliot frowns. That was not nearly a good sign..
  217. [11:02 AM] Runic: "A bit concerning to be honest"
  218. [11:03 AM] Eon: "More than a little." Elliots nods.
  219. [11:03 AM] Eon: Whatever it was, it just proved that there was even less time to waste.
  220. [11:03 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "..." Mil become a bit quiet, as if thinking about the stench reminded him of something. Perhaps that's why he was able to recount it so effectively.
  221. [11:03 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: "While corpses do smell, to make such a stench would require a large quantity of dead bodies" Rein cuts in(edited)
  222. [11:04 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20

  224. [11:06 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Like "Abjuration, Conjuration, Psionics, Transmutation")
  225. [11:06 AM] Bot Fodder: (To be fair, a knowledge of arcana is probably used to cover a warforged's physiology too.)
  226. [11:06 AM] Mizuki: (Lets move?)
  227. [11:06 AM] Eon: (Mhm)
  228. [11:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright, you should get a move on!
  229. [11:07 AM] Bot Fodder: "One last question. Has the Militia set traps in the forest?"
  230. [11:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Let's make some /progress/, people. That said,
  231. [11:07 AM] Faerie: (It's fucky how, normally, one wouldn't consider Arcana to know much about psionics )
  232. [11:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Uhhh... "Hmm, traps... I am not sure, guv."
  233. [11:07 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: the road would take you a while to ... Get there, even. How will you be travelling, by the way?
  234. [11:08 AM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  235.
  236. [11:08 AM] Faerie: Rent horses, maybe a Caravan? Laiofe suggests having to travel on foot is bullshit.
  237. [11:08 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You'll be following a road south-southwest, out of Ahrimal toward the great plain southward.
  238. [11:08 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Horses and following caravans or the like would certainly cut down on your travel time.
  239. [11:08 AM] Eon: Could they on such short notice (and could they even afford it?)
  240. [11:09 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The former cost ya,the latter is a matter of chance.
  241. [11:09 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Due to your connections within the city, it's not an issue.
  242. [11:09 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Between that of party members containing an improverished noble, and being an Alchemist of Ahrimal.)
  243. [11:09 AM] Faerie: There's the funding, 50 pieces (plus whatever we could whip-round) is nothing minor.
  244. [11:10 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Do we even have anyone who has proficiency in Handle Animal ?)
  245. [11:10 AM] Eon: (We won't be the one on the horse, surely)
  246. [11:10 AM] Runic: (Sully is!)
  247. [11:10 AM] Eon: (Oh what)
  248. [11:10 AM] Eon: How much would that cost us?
  249. [11:10 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Renting a horse would cut the journey down to half the time required.
  250. [11:10 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (The last time i rode a horse, i got lost and ended up late to a battle)
  251. [11:10 AM] Faerie: Laiofe could do it, too, after observing for a few minutes. Don't ask.
  252. [11:11 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Renting, uh
  253. [11:11 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: 20 GP
  254. [11:11 AM] Mizuki: (per horse or caravan?)
  255. [11:11 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Comes with a few riding horses.
  256. [11:11 AM] Bot Fodder: Travelling on foot would be harder for a Ranger to follow, Rowan points out. She admits she is no pathfinder (cough) but she ought to be able to scout the way without drawing too much attention. This would, of course, be slower. "The question is whether or not we wish to announce our presence."(edited)
  257. [11:11 AM] Faerie: (That sounds gud, let's do it)
  258. [11:11 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Caravan would be memey; nobody's heading out at this hour.
  259. [11:11 AM] Eon: Seems good enough to him.
  260. [11:12 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Normally you'd need to put in a deposit, Elliot... But... Alchemist of Ahrimal is good enough an insurance.
  261. [11:12 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: If the horses aren't returned, they'll request the funding from the guild instead.
  262. [11:12 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (That said, it'll damage your reputation soooo)
  263. [11:12 AM] Faerie: (''Put it on my tab'')
  264. [11:12 AM] Bot Fodder: (We'll cross that bridge when we get to it~)
  265. [11:13 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: But yes, once again
  266.
  267. [11:13 AM] Mizuki: "Can we afford it, Elliot?" - Asked the girl turning to him.
  268. [11:13 AM] Faerie: (You mean burn)
  269. [11:13 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You travel at "twice the speed", and need to cover 30 miles
  270. [11:13 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Pick a travel pace.
  271. [11:13 AM] Mizuki: (normal is gud)
  272. [11:13 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (I need to go through a wifi zero area for a few minutes again. Rein will provide the 10gp if needed. And if its Handle Animal checks, er, someone please roll for me, or just do the take 10 thingy)
  273. [11:13 AM] Bot Fodder: (We've got a Bard and a CHA Rogue, we'll be fine. :ok_hand: )(edited)
  274. [11:13 AM] Runic: (Yeah, I'm fine with normal)
  275. [11:13 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It'll take you 5 hours on horses to get to the campsite indicated on the map.
  276. [11:13 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Im ok with normal pace as well)
  277. [11:14 AM] Eon: "Naturally, my lady. Lord and Lady Firebloom are most generous."
  278. [11:14 AM] Eon: Normal's good.
  279. [11:14 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: But going into the forest with the horses would be harder; you'd be leaving your horse behind from that point, or like... drag them in with you at speed of your walking speed anyhow.
  280. [11:14 AM] Faerie: Normal is what Laiofe prefers - Greenwood at least sounded reasonable enough to negotiate with.
  281. [11:14 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you are able to ignore difficult terrain, then ignore what I said about horses having difficulty.
  282. [11:14 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (But none of you are revised rangers, now, are you?)
  283. [11:14 AM] Eon: Wait. Was the 20 for a deposit or the entire cost?
  284. [11:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: 20 is entire cost of rental.
  285. [11:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's 6 riding horses.
  286. [11:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Market price at 450 GP.
  287. [11:15 AM] Eon: Gotcha. Do I deduct now or later?
  288. [11:15 AM] Bot Fodder: Rowan's fine with this. Making the approach obvious, but not rushed, would let the group feel it is fully in control.
  289. [11:15 AM] Mizuki: She frowns. Has father been giving money to them...? - "Ah, yes, that's good." - She will need to talk to them later!
  290. [11:15 AM] Faerie: (ACSHUALLY uh, nevermind, that's next level :sadpopo:)
  291. [11:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Now, Elliot. NOW.
  292. [11:15 AM] Eon: O-Ok
  293. [11:15 AM] Runic: (kek)
  294. [11:15 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: the travel...

  296. [11:15 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d100]: 91, Result: 91
  297. [11:16 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Was uneventful. It's down the road that's commonly travelled, after all.
  298. [11:16 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Soon, after just 5 hours, you make it to the campsite near Denstead. The day has moved onto the early afternoon.
  299. [11:16 AM] Faerie: (The beaten path!)
  300. [11:16 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The campsite is a small clearing with trace of activities; should there be merchants or travelers travelling to Ahrimal by land, the various campsites along the path through the Verdant Forest allow them to take a night's rest. There's virtually no guarantee of safety in those locations, so not all travelers use those campsites. A small well is located somewhere in the back, and there's a ring of rock meant for a firepit if there's enough people using the campsite.
  301.
  302. That said, years of use and optimisation by travelers, especially considering the increasingly dangerous Verdant Forest, has caused the Ahrimal officials to install alarms in the campsite. As in, literally the alarm spell; Those using the campsite may perform a small ritual, by throwing a coin down the well and asking for protection, and the area around the firepit will be warded by an audible alarm spell. It's not much and has potential for false alarms, but it's something.(edited)
  303. KogasaGaSagasa pinned a message to this channel. See all the pins.Today at 11:18 AM
  304. [11:18 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (map of region pinned for easier reference.)
  305. [11:18 AM] Faerie: Laiofe checks with the fine horseys they've been riding, before moving onto the well. Did the camp seem occupied?
  306. [11:18 AM] Faerie: Did the well have water in it?
  307. [11:18 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The camp hasn't seen use in at least 24 hours.
  308. [11:19 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The well does have water.
  309. [11:19 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's fairly deep, a couple dozen into the stone and earth, to gods-know-where.
  310. [11:19 AM] Faerie: He'll procure some for the beasts.
  311. (And the horses too)
  312. [11:19 AM] Eon: Hmm. Can we travel diagonally on the squarecrawl?
  313. [11:20 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The riding horses are well-trained, and are thankful to you. The one you are riding gently licked your hand a bit, Laiofe.
  314. [11:20 AM] Faerie: (That's... a good question)(edited)
  315. [11:20 AM] Bot Fodder: Rowan sniffs the air, keeping alert for more than just traps and ambushes. Perhaps they'll encounter that unusual smell...
  316. [11:20 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: No, Elliot.
  317. [11:20 AM] Runic: "This seems like a good place to take a break" Sully speaks out happily. Hoping off his riding horse he enjoys the sensation of the cool earth on his feet after a lengthy ride. He pets his own riding horse as thanks.
  318. [11:20 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Unfortunately, I didn't use hex
  319. [11:21 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You'll have to travel in straight lines in """abstration""".
  320. [11:21 AM] Eon: stares
  321. [11:21 AM] Faerie: He won't question it, but licking solid metal has to taste pretty weird to a horse. Laiofe's humored, thinking back to the old family dog he once owned.
  322. [11:21 AM] Eon: It'll take them 10 squares to reach the village.
  323. [11:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: regardless, going from point A to point B directly likely will take you a bit less time. I won't be doing pythagorian here.
  324. [11:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: That's... 20 miles in the woodland, yes.
  325. [11:22 AM] Mizuki: "Yeah, we can't push the horses too much." - Agreed the girl jumping down and petting her mount. She takes a look around.
  326. [11:22 AM] Eon: O-Oh.
  327. [11:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Considering that horses wouldn't help, well - that's another full day of travel.
  328. [11:23 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You look around the campsite...
  329. [11:23 AM] Eon: "While it would be nice to not have to bring them around the forest, I worry about their safety if we leave them here."

  332. [11:23 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: There really isn't much of interest, Camellia.
  333. [11:23 AM] Faerie: Gathering his thoughts, reminding himself of the region's layout, Laiofe thinks back. How much more could they travel before night set?
  334. [11:23 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's a well-established campsite. Not immaculately clean, but well-kept by fellow travellers.
  335. [11:24 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You can likely squeeze in another 3 or 4 hours before needing to make camp.
  336. [11:24 AM] Faerie: ''They're not ours. We shouldn't gamble with their lifes, leaving them there would be sure to invite misfortune.'' Horses are valuable, you know.
  337. [11:24 AM] Eon: Hmm. Anyone mind travelling in the dark?
  338. [11:24 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The lack of disturbing detail is, in a way, reassuring. The campsite doesn't have any strange mask-wearing men wielding gigantic weapons dismembering bodies.
  339. [11:24 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: That's always a good sign.
  340. [11:24 AM] Eon: They had a human and halfling with them
  341. [11:25 AM] Eon: That, and his reputation was on the line here!
  342. [11:25 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Going in the dark also risks exhaustion for you.
  343. [11:25 AM] Bot Fodder: "This is a well travelled road. Will they not merely be taken if left behind?" asks Rowan.
  344. [11:25 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You'd be Force March'ing
  345. [11:25 AM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  346.
  347. [11:25 AM] Eon: That's a thing? Huh.
  348. [11:25 AM] Faerie: Yeah, cultists or - Laiofe shudders - a clandestine alchemical laboratory. That was good.
  349. [11:26 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's... Recommended you do not do it. As mentioned, "you have 3 or 4 hours before the sun sets."
  350. [11:26 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: "Rest is important before any event. You wouldn't want to lose focus in the middle of a battle" Rein advices
  351. [11:26 AM] Eon: Just as well to make camp around here, he supposes.
  352. [11:26 AM] Mizuki: Camellia checks their map. - "On foot, we're still almost a day away from Denstead. Around 20 hours, with no interruption. That boy sure did some work, walking all this alone."
  353. [11:27 AM] Eon: "My lady, we should consider setting up camp soon."
  354. [11:27 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you've only had someone else with you, able to guide the horses back to Ahrimal, or at least watch them.
  355. [11:27 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Jokes aside...
  356. [11:27 AM] Faerie: Laiofe nods, agreeing with Rein in more than a few levels. (Because of Psychic Focus)
  357. [11:28 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (> totally not an ex-soldier for nothing)
  358. [11:28 AM] Mizuki: "Seems like a good opportunity, Elliot." - She nodded.
  359. [11:28 AM] Bot Fodder: The party has time, anyway! Might as well camp in a place that won't draw scrutiny.
  360. [11:28 AM] Eon: If nothing else, Elliot will begin looking around for mushrooms and the like, relying on his natural knowledge to not accidentally poison people.
  361. [11:28 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Fair enough. You set up camp, at the campsite, then?
  362. [11:28 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Looking for mushroom and food?
  363. [11:28 AM] Eon: Oh, and alchemical ingridients if possible.
  364. [11:28 AM] Eon: If that's a thing
  365. [11:28 AM] Mizuki: Camellia will look for food.
  366. [11:28 AM] Runic: Of course, camp at the campsite
  367. [11:28 AM] Faerie: ''That's good with me. We'll cover more ground tomorrow.''
  368. [11:29 AM] Bot Fodder: (Can poisoner's kit proficiency help with identifying poisonous things, or just producing them?)
  369. [11:29 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright, one sec.
  370. [11:29 AM] Faerie: Laiofe can help as well, though he doesn't need to eat. (Nature/Survival prof)
  371. [11:29 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: "Ill assist in finding for food as well"
  372. [11:29 AM] Eon: (I'm expertise Nature :smugpopo: )
  373. [11:29 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you are taking rest of the day off and camping, yo wouldn't need checks to find enough food.
  374. [11:29 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Drink's even easier.
  375. [11:30 AM] Eon: Well, well, well.
  376. [11:30 AM] Faerie: (Well!)
  377. [11:30 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Hunting for game, picking berries, gathering fruits from nearby trees...
  378. [11:30 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (We still have rations after all)
  379. [11:30 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are able to not only gather enough food for the day, but also procure enough for the next day's journey.
  380. [11:30 AM] Faerie: (>Year 100 Post-Fall
  381. >Needing to eat)
  382. [11:30 AM] Eon: (Please, we're above rations)
  383. [11:31 AM] Eon: (Also I think we have goodberries, come to that)
  384. [11:31 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: In exchange, however, you spent rest of the daylight.
  385. [11:31 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (You do.)
  386. [11:31 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for alchemical ingredients...
  387. [11:32 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Not by the roadside, silly, but go for an Herbalist/Alchemist Kit + int for me.
  388. [11:32 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Anyone with either of those two proficiencies may attempt one of them.(edited)
  389. [11:32 AM] Eon: Not nearly as good what they would be able to make back at the Firebloom's mansion (what do they live in these days?), but good enough for Camellia.
  390. [11:32 AM] Eon: Roll 1d20+4 muh expertise

  392. [11:32 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: wew
  393. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You gather some of the local speciality.
  394. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You gain a portion of the famed Emerald Nuts, and is able to process them for later uses.
  395. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Emerald Nuts are used by alchemists and potion makers to make a number of things, from a brilliant green dye to enhancing Potions of Healing. The nut is usually cracked open, the brilliant green seed grounded up into a sparkling powder. The appearance of the seed looks like an emerald, hence the name. Gathering Emerald Nuts is usually a matter of luck, since they are almost indistinguishable from normal chestnuts, and finding a steady supply of them is difficult. Furthermore, they seem to resist cultivation, and only grow slowly within the Verdant Forest for unknown reason.
  396. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: A portion of the Emerald Nut can be used to make a Potion of Greater Healing, replacing the normal component cost. Each portion is worth roughly 20 GP on the market, though due to the increasing activities of the Greenwood Militia, the price has been driven up to 50 GP or so. (For Alchemist of Ahrimal, the normal crafting cost of a Potion of Greater Healing is 40 GP.)
  397. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Those on the Path of Eternal Youth did some fairly extensive studies on Emerald Nuts, and discovered as an accident that the green dye powder made from the emerald seed can actually be very caustic. Five portions of the Emerald Nuts can be used as magic item ingredient for items up to Uncommon as long as the item does acid damage, or produce acid (Such as an alchemy jug), but does not otherwise pay toward magic item crafting cost.
  398. [11:33 AM] Eon: Greater?!
  399. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Greater.
  400. [11:34 AM] Eon: Like 4d4+4 greater?
  401. [11:34 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mhmm.
  402. [11:34 AM] Eon: Wew.
  403. [11:34 AM] Bot Fodder: (The gold grind begins.)
  404. [11:34 AM] Eon: Elliot adjusts his glasses.
  405. [11:34 AM] Eon: They glint.
  406. [11:34 AM] Faerie: Let's see... If Elliot can lend Laiofe one of either kits for a while, he can try his hand at it as well.
  407. [11:34 AM] Eon: Well. He knew what he was going to do after dinner.
  408. [11:35 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You don't need the kit to gather, you just need the proficiency in the said skills.
  409. [11:35 AM] Eon: Sure, borrow my herbalism kit.
  410. [11:35 AM] Eon: (Mystic memes or something)
  411. [11:35 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's a matter of ... not getting a bundle of chestnuts because lolidentification.
  412. [11:35 AM] Faerie: ''Fancy that. Mind explaining what to look for? I'll lend you a pair of hands!'', he explaims pointing at his symbol.
  413. [11:36 AM] Faerie: Nomadic Mind's focus to proficiency in Herbalism Kit go, then
  414. [11:36 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Those who have proficiency in Nature can do so at a disadvantage; there are no differences in their outward appearance, and Nature would rely entirely on expertise to know "Those aren't supposed to be there", making it harder.
  415. [11:36 AM] Eon: "Very well. The difference between these Emerald Nuts and a mundane chestnut.."
  416. [11:36 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Sure, you psion.
  417. [11:37 AM] Faerie: roll 1d20+2 I feel dirty already
  418. [11:37 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 2, Result: 4
  419. [11:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You found...
  420. [11:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Chestnuts.
  421. [11:37 AM] Faerie: (AH YES I SEE
  422. I totally do not see)
  423. [11:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Roasting them over fire, they have a pleasant aroma.
  424. [11:37 AM] Eon: "They will make good roasting, at the least."
  425. [11:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Roasted chestnut is, after all, a fairly popular street food and snack.
  426. [11:37 AM] Eon: Oh well!
  427. [11:38 AM] Eon: Are we taking a long rest overnight?
  428. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: With all your discoveries done...
  429. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You would be taking a long rest, yes.
  430. [11:38 AM] Eon: As in, can I downtime the potion out?
  431. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: And we'll take a 5 minute break.
  432. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Downtime the potion? No.
  433. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You'd need "A day".
  434. [11:38 AM] Runic: With others foraging foor and materials. Sully will stay at the camp first, attending to the horses while setting up the amenities to stay at the night. Setting up tents while playing a song with his sheperd's pipe to sooth the horses. He'll also produce some goodberries for the next day.
  435. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: and that's only for a Greater - which has a crafting time of a workweek iirc?
  436. [11:39 AM] Bot Fodder: (I wish I could've afforded to start with an actual Poisoner's Kit. :sadpopo: )
  437. [11:39 AM] Eon: (Goodberry meme :excitedfish: )
  438. [11:39 AM] Runic: Also if Sully has time he will also try to look for some materials (Herbalist kit)
  439. [11:39 AM] Faerie: But of course. Bright as the noosphere might make someone, some things didn't exactly work without the required dedication. At least it was a learning opportunity! Laiofe deposits the nuts back in camp.
  440. [11:39 AM] Eon: (We could have got one just now you fug)
  441. [11:39 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Anyhow, I'll brb in a sec, washroom and break)
  442. [11:39 AM] Faerie: ''You must have sweept the place out of Emerald ones, ha!''
  443. [11:40 AM] Runic: (Yeah we actually had time to purchase anything we wanted when we were talking to Mil. We recieved 50 gp to spend Kap!)(edited)
  444. [11:40 AM] Faerie: (Getting some air, brb)
  445. [11:41 AM] Faerie: (Mystic's funny so far, you feel useful even if you roll a 2)
  446. [11:41 AM] Runic: Oh also Sully will drop a bit of coinage from his own earnings to the well. "One for good luck, another for extra good luck" he chuckles. -2 GP(edited)
  447. [11:41 AM] Eon: I recieved one portion of nuts, yeah?
  448. [11:41 AM] Mizuki: The camp set and preparations done, Camellia approaches Laiofe and sits beside him. - "Hey, think you could put some sense on that Greenwood man, if we come across him?"(edited)
  449. [11:41 AM] Eon: yup. as he said.
  450. [11:41 AM] Eon: grind nuts for magic items :nicosmug:
  451. [11:42 AM] Bot Fodder: (... Oh. :sadpopo: )
  452. [11:42 AM] Runic: (pets Kap)
  453. [11:42 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yes, one portions
  454. [11:42 AM] Bot Fodder: (I knew we had time to purchase, but I missed the part about additional gold.)
  455. [11:43 AM] Eon: How often can I search for alchemical memes, anyhow?
  456. [11:43 AM] Eon: once per day, per square or..
  457. [11:43 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You may do it while travelling,
  458. [11:43 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Find Feature. The character can keep an eye out for specialty resource, strange features, or other hidden things in the region, making a Wisdom (Survival) check when the DM deems appropriate. The Wisdom (Survival) check is made in secret."
  459. [11:43 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: This is an option you may do while travel, similar to "Paying attention on the road", which is the default option.
  460. [11:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Those who doesn't wish to take their perception checks because "lol no" may divert their attention to gathering food or the like.
  461. [11:44 AM] Eon:
  462. [11:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Pioneer Knight background, the exception, may take 2, instead of 1, actions while travelling.
  463. [11:45 AM] Eon: That'll be useful, then!
  464. [11:45 AM] Eon: I don't imagine I can do anything over a long rest, hmm.
  465. [11:45 AM] Mizuki: ( )
  466. [11:45 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: See "Acitivitilies while travelling" in PHB - and some under DMG
  467. [11:45 AM] Eon: Err, at the end of the long rest, cast racial AoA.
  468. [11:45 AM] Runic: (So uh Koga? Can Sully try to gather materials as well for the Herbalist kit?)
  469. [11:45 AM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  470.
  471. [11:45 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yep, Sully
  472. [11:45 AM] Eon: lasts 1 hour, so probably doesn't matter, but doesn't hurt.
  473. [11:45 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sorry, wasn't entirely back until now, was pouring water. XD
  474. [11:45 AM] Runic: roll 1d20+2
  475. [11:45 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 13, Result: 15
  476. [11:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You find some chestnuts.
  477. [11:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Those are not exactly common.
  478. [11:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: As in, Emerald Nuts aren't.
  479. [11:46 AM] Runic: Okay cool
  480. [11:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sure, Elliot, make sense to cast it "Right before the end"
  481. [11:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: which I'll allow.
  482. [11:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
  483. [11:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d100
  484. [11:47 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d100]: 17, Result: 17
  485. [11:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: However, before we proceed with finishing the long rest :nicosmug:

  487. [11:47 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [2d6]: 1,6, Result: 7
  488. [11:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Elliot, Rowan.
  489. [11:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: During the night and camping, when people are resting,
  490. [11:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: make me a perception check.
  491. [11:48 AM] Eon: roll 1d20+2 oh boy
  492. [11:48 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 5, Result: 7

  495. [11:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
  496. [11:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rowan, you notice something in the trees.
  497. [11:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Five shadowy figures, humanoid, approaching the camp in stealth.
  498. [11:49 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Two or three of them seems unused to the darkness, stumbling a little.
  499. [11:50 AM] Faerie: (Back, I got ganked by food on my way back ;_;)
  500. [11:50 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Don't worry you get getting ganked in game as well)
  501. [11:50 AM] Runic: (More like you ganked some food :smugsatori: )
  502. [11:52 AM] Bot Fodder: Rowan sighs and scratches her head. "Are you sure there's nothing to hunt out here?" she mutters quite audibly. She gets up and motions urgently to the others. "Five people, behind my back." She flicks her head slightly in their direction.
  503. [11:52 AM] Faerie: (Laiofe doesn't sleep, so!)
  504. [11:52 AM] Faerie: (mary sue as fuck)
  505. [11:52 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... You do not, but you still need to go on standby to rest.
  506. [11:53 AM] Eon: "... Hmm." Elliot stands up. He doesn't imagine they were their welcome commitee.
  507. [11:53 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Of course, you may go without long rest instead. :nicosmug:
  508. [11:53 AM] Eon: Do I have AoA on at this moment?
  509. [11:53 AM] Faerie: (Yeah, you go plug up somewhere or something, but you're still alert and aware of your surroundings. It's analogue to trancing, I think?)
  510. [11:53 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You do not unless AoA lasts for 24 hours.
  511. [11:53 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: Rein goes on alert and prepares to draws his longswords (is that possible?)(edited)
  512. [11:53 AM] Eon: Right, before we finish a long.
  513. [11:53 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You haven't gotten to "The end of long rest" yet.
  514. [11:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Not yet, Rein. The group in general are being "alert" right now, which uh...
  515. [11:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: I guess you could, but it wouldn't matter; their ambush is a failure.
  516. [11:54 AM] Eon: "Wait." Elliot would tell Rein to not reveal that fact yet.
  517. [11:54 AM] Eon: How close are they together, by the way?
  518. [11:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are... bunched together, ish.
  519. [11:54 AM] Mizuki: Camellia quickly stands, adjusting her cloak and resting her hand on her blade's hilt, ready. - "Laiofe sir, think you could try talking to Greenwood if we ever come across him?" - She whispered.
  520. [11:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: 3 of them in a group, 2 in another, about 10ft apart.
  521. [11:55 AM] Bot Fodder: Rowan pulls a small crossbow from her coat and loads it, hiding it with her back.
  522. [11:55 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are 60ft in the trees, hiding under cover of trees and darkness.
  523. [11:55 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: As you ... Be alert and ready, they realize that they have failed the ambush.
  524. [11:55 AM] Eon: "... Shall we converse? Or if you so desired.."
  525. [11:55 AM] Eon: (Shatter.meme)
  526. [11:56 AM] Faerie: ''Well, I'd certainly prefer to talk. We'll see, friend'' he shrugs, nonchalant after coming back to full awareness.
  527. [11:57 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Stumbling from the trees is a pair of walking dead, some sort of undead, they moan and groan, seeking your life. The trio make themselves known as well, a group of humans wearing a green bandana on one of their arm; Greenwood Militias.
  528. [11:57 AM] Faerie: (gasp we're playing Lost Memes' intro combat)
  529. [11:57 AM] Eon: ... Undead?
  530. [11:57 AM] Faerie: Well.
  531. [11:57 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  532. [11:57 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 11, Result: 11
  533. [11:57 AM] Eon: (moooooom, koga's doing it again)
  534. [11:57 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: (undead :scream:)
  535. [11:57 AM] Faerie: (Literally first combat, dude)
  536. [11:57 AM] Runic: (A pair, so 2 undead, and 3 nonundead)
  537. [11:57 AM] Bot Fodder: (tfw no radiant damage source)
  538. [11:57 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... You have +3 to Religion?
  539. [11:57 AM] Faerie: (I like undead, though)
  540. [11:58 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: In that case...
  541. [11:58 AM] Eon: I do!
  542. [11:58 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: They would normally be known as zombies,
  543. [11:58 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: but that's only what they are PRETENDING to be.
  544. [11:58 AM] Eon: gasp
  545. [11:58 AM] Mizuki: "The stench..." - Complained Camellia. - "That's what Mil was talking about."
  546. [11:58 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: In fact, those are GHASTS, pretending to be zombies.
  547. [11:58 AM] Eon: Wait, what-
  548. [11:58 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are faking their rigor mortis, the stiffness, and their lack of intelligence.
  549. [11:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: In fact, they are sneaky foes, with various traits different from that of a zombie. You do not know the details, however.
  550. [11:59 AM] Eon: "Do not be fooled by their demeanour, those aren't zombies, but ghasts in pretense." Elliot whispers to the rest.
  551. [11:59 AM] Eon: Could I make an active roll?
  552. [11:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Of religion? Yes.
  553. [11:59 AM] Faerie: Does Elliot know if they're intelligent?
  554. [11:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: They groan and moan."Brainnn...."
  555. [11:59 AM] Eon: roll 1d20+3 religion
  556. [11:59 AM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+3]: 7, Result: 10
  557. [11:59 AM] Eon: Aw.
  558. [11:59 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are intelligent enough.
  559. [12:00 PM] Eon: "Good evening." Elliot might as well start off with niceties.
  560. [12:00 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan has no knowledge of religion, but... [Insight] to spot acting?
  561. [12:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: mhm. You already know that they are acting, however.
  562. [12:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Your insight automatically succeed.
  563. [12:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The bandits are wary enough, drawing crossbow, letting the "zombies" advance first.
  564. [12:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you do not have anything to say, we'll go for initiative.
  565. [12:01 PM] Faerie: Laiofe puts one and one together - Elliot wouldn't be warning them if ghasts were less dangerous than zombies, would he? He stands to observe.
  566. [12:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If you do, then... Let us converse.
  567. [12:01 PM] Runic: (Well)
  568. [12:01 PM] Mizuki: "What is the meaning of this?" - Asked the girl, staring at the ambushers. - "Idealists like you deploying undead?"
  569. [12:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Give me a check for your observation, Laiofe.
  570. [12:01 PM] Eon: (Well, well, well.)
  571. [12:01 PM] Faerie: (Perception?)
  572. [12:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... The bandits look at each other, a bit uneasy.
  573. [12:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (What are you looking for?)
  574. [12:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... It's an alliance." One speaks. "And you are unwelcomed here in this part of the forest, friend."
  575. [12:02 PM] Runic: (Did Sully have time to cast a Shillelagh or nah? He has his stone armor always activated so that's not a problem. )
  576. [12:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "If you leave right now, we will let you go freely."
  577. [12:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One of the zombie groans in protest.
  578. [12:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Sully? You will on "init roll")
  579. [12:02 PM] Eon: "With undead?"
  580. [12:02 PM] Faerie: The ghasts were one thing, but did the men look like elites? What about their weapons and armor? Pretty much that.
  581. [12:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (So you are considered to be casting shillelagh when you do roll that init)
  582. [12:02 PM] Bot Fodder: Spilled milk. Rowan clicks her tongue and keeps her crossbow down.
  583. [12:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (And then on your turn, you have shillelagh ready w/o needing a BA)
  584. [12:03 PM] Runic: (Ah, okay)
  585. [12:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The men are...
  586. [12:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Common folks, it seems, who have fallen to banditry.
  587. [12:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Or rather, ideals of a better world.
  588. [12:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are common bandits.
  589. [12:03 PM] Faerie: ''Mighty big place to get lost in, don't you think? We know what you're doing. Why?''
  590. [12:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "..." They say nothing about that, keeping their tongues in check. "Leave. Final warning! We'll sic the zombies on you!"
  591. [12:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Braaaaains...."
  592. [12:04 PM] Runic: "Ahaha" Sully nervously laughs. "Sorry fellas, but we have a bit of business here. So no can do. I'm sorry" he responds, voice going quieter towards the end
  593. [12:05 PM] Eon: "This act is rather droll. I must comment." He looks to the rest for opinions.
  594. [12:05 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "i believe it would be time to treat them as hostile" Rein whispers to the group
  595. [12:05 PM] Faerie: Laiofe looks at the others for their opinion. |Your call. I'm not pulling out, but let's think about what to do.|
  596. [12:06 PM] Mizuki: Camellia takes out her blade. - "Is this Greenwood's orders?" - Asked the girl, ready to charge.(edited)
  597. [12:06 PM] Mizuki: (>darkwood)
  598. [12:06 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "We have our duties as well... Sorry, then." The bandit shrugs, as the ghasts pounce to attack. Initiative!

  615. [12:07 PM] Eon: (corperal ones?)
  616. [12:07 PM] Eon: (no, but the spoopy ones tend to be immune)
  617. [12:07 PM] Faerie: (Not outright immune, at least)

  624. [12:08 PM] Eon: I can cutting words that, right?
  625. [12:08 PM] Eon: just checking.
  626. [12:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The zombies glow a bit, wreathed in dark, necormatic strength.
  627. [12:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sully, your turn.
  628. [12:08 PM] Runic: With a wave, club in hand. Motioning a prayer to nature and Sheela Peryroyl herself. He impues his club with nature's power.
  629. [12:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are 60ft away, at your init. :ok_hand:

  633. [12:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There's a clear path to them, as they are barely leaving the treeline.
  634. [12:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 60ft, uninterrupted terrain of clearing and nothing interesting.
  635. [12:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Beyond that, trees.
  636. [12:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The trees are thick enough to provide Difficult Terrain, but that's less a concern right now.
  637. [12:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Cutting words...)
  638. [12:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (You... can, yes.)
  639. [12:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (wew, lore bards wtf.)
  640. [12:11 PM] Eon: (curious. I'll keep that in mind.)
  641. [12:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (however, enemies are on group init, if you cutting word I'll drop only 1 of their init.)
  642. [12:12 PM] Runic: For now, Sully casts Guidance on Elliot for a bit of possible protection. Afterword he manuvers as far as he can go for now towards the enemy. (25 ft)
  643. [12:12 PM] Eon: (ah, true)
  644. [12:12 PM] Bot Fodder: (If you can drop one below me, I can Assassinate them.)(edited)
  645. [12:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
  646. [12:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Anything else?
  647. [12:12 PM] Eon: (Guidance is checks, though)
  648. [12:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If not, Laiofe.
  649. [12:12 PM] Runic: With not much else he can do with the lack of range. He ends his turn
  650. [12:13 PM] Runic: (If the damn ghasts telelports behind you or something, then you can thank me, but for now not much else I can do!)
  651. [12:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Dash :nicosmug: )
  652. [12:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Because going leeroy is always a good idea :ok_hand: )
  653. [12:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (j/k)
  654. [12:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: @Faerie
  655. [12:14 PM] Runic: (I wouldn't mind ganking them next turn  )
  656. [12:15 PM] Faerie: (hm)
  657. [12:15 PM] Faerie: ''Don't tell me we didn't warn you later.'' What a shame to forfeit one's life like that. Stomping on the ground a step closer, clenching both fists to his side until they creak, Laiofe furiously rubs both forearms together until sparks fly. What looks like steam appears to release out of his joints as he prepares.
  658. His synapses connect to that of the ghasts, an immaterial bond forming between the two of them. In an instant, he thrusts a fist forward without a word.
  659. [12:15 PM] Faerie: Mind Thrust on the closest Ghast, DC 12 INT
  660. [12:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20+0
  661. [12:15 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+0]: 12, Result: 12
  662. [12:15 PM] Eon: "Remember, we'll likely benefit from capturing them, still."
  663. [12:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Meet, made it.
  664. [12:16 PM] Faerie: (Well, not the ghasts!)
  665. [12:16 PM] Eon: (not those, no)
  666. [12:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (it's kinda hard to capture ghasts alive)
  667. [12:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (you'd need to revive them first)
  668. [12:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :nicosmug: )
  669. [12:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast recoils a bit, howling.
  670. [12:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It doesn't seem very affected by your talent, however.
  671. [12:17 PM] Faerie: (Ahh, fuck it, what can go wrong)
  672. [12:17 PM] Faerie: Moving 30 onwards, activating Steel Hide. All that iron isn't just for show. (Bonus Action)
  673. [12:17 PM] Faerie: (Resistance to PBS until the end of his next turn)
  674. [12:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Steel hide cost 2 psi points, but you are long resting soon after, so... Yeah, ok. Blade ward, basically.
  675. [12:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Anything else?
  676. [12:18 PM] Faerie: Aaaand, pass. He puts the hand back, falling back into a martial* stance.
  677. [12:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You move past Sully, standing right in front.
  678. [12:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rein, your turn.
  679. [12:18 PM] Faerie: *Technically a simple stance because he doesn't have martial proficiency.
  680. [12:19 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Have Rein drawn his weapon?)
  681. [12:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Yep.)
  682. [12:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Also drawing weapon is somethign you can do as part of your action)
  683. [12:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (So you can drop swords and then move forward while drawing more swords)
  684. [12:20 PM] Faerie: (It's Blade Ward but awesome, yes)
  685. [12:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (But you don't have enoguh swords.jpg)
  686. [12:20 PM] Faerie: (THREE NIGGA
  687. IT WAS THREE)
  688. [12:20 PM] Eon: (BA blade ward is not shit)
  689. [12:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (BA blade ward that cost "spell slot" is, kinda)
  690. [12:20 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: Rein moves forward 20ft, and readies a double attack against any enemies that moves into 5ft around him (Attack action + Bonus Action)
  691. [12:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Well, no, actually, it's good against magical ones as well)
  692. [12:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
  693. [12:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You actually can't Ready with a BA
  694. [12:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But you can do so with an Action.
  695. [12:21 PM] Eon: (you also only get one stab)
  696. [12:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: I'll, however, make an exception and allow BA to modify a Ready attack.
  697. [12:21 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (It's something.jpg)
  698. [12:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: With that, your turn ends?
  699. [12:21 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Yup)
  700. [12:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Someone note me to add that to houserule later)
  701. [12:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
  702. [12:22 PM] Faerie: (Yeah, dool weelding is pretty :sadpopo: sometimes)
  703. [12:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The zombies... pounce, with unnerving agility.
  704. [12:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They rush right beside Sully, the pair of them flanking all three of those who've moved forward to meet the foes.
  705. [12:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You can smell this stench... Disgusting, churning stench.
  706. [12:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You figure it'll cause you issues if you breath it.
  707. [12:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That said, A ghast moved into range. Rein, readied attack action!
  708. [12:23 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d20+5
  709. [12:23 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 9, Result: 14
  710. [12:24 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d20+5
  711. [12:24 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 5, Result: 10
  712. [12:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast deftly dodged into your blade! Hit!
  713. And the second follow-up misses!
  714. [12:24 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (ew)(edited)
  715. [12:24 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d8+3
  716. [12:24 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d8+3]: 4, Result: 7
  717. [12:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The bandits readies their stance, with crossbow, spreading out a little.
  718. [12:25 PM] Runic: 'Kind of wish I had a free hand to hold my nose' Sully thinks to himself
  719. [12:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The necrotic energy from before deflects and absorbs your attack...
  720. [12:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: False Life absorbed 7 damage from the strike.
  721. [12:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That's all they do, however.
  722. [12:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Elliot, your turn.
  723. [12:25 PM] Faerie: (MOOOM KOGA'S GIVING MOBS ARMOR OF AGATHYS AGAIN soon)
  724. [12:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Hush, it's actually just False Life)
  725. [12:26 PM] Eon: (still!)
  726. [12:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (AoA would've been more memey)
  727. [12:26 PM] Eon: Hmm.
  728. [12:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Eat Dragon Chess! :flamingpopo: )
  729. [12:26 PM] Eon: So they Dashed, yeah?
  730. [12:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yep.
  731. [12:26 PM] Eon: Reln is out of their reaction, shame.
  732. [12:26 PM] Eon: Very well.
  733. [12:27 PM] Eon: Moving closer, and grimacing a little at the stench (30 feet).
  734. [12:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You enter melee with the ghasts...
  735. [12:27 PM] Faerie: (Just a sec, gotta carry sis to bed)
  736. [12:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Alright)
  737. [12:27 PM] Eon: (wait, was I already 30 away?)
  738. [12:28 PM] Eon: (I want to be 30 away ;-;)
  739. [12:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (... hm? Yeah, uh. Oh.)
  740. [12:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You do not move.
  741. [12:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (The ghasts moved forward, after all.)
  742. [12:28 PM] Eon: "Pretending to be zombies was quite a humorous act. Hilariously so, even." Pointing at the one who still had full False Life, Tasha's Hideous Laughter.
  743. [12:28 PM] Bot Fodder: (Have the bandits technically taken their turns already?)
  744. [12:28 PM] Eon: DC 13 Wis
  745. [12:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 30ft ahead of you, Sully, Laiofe, and Rein are in melee with 2 ghasts, 60ft away from you, three bandits are fanning apart.
  746. [12:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (They have)
  747. [12:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Their turn is "ready action, move")
  748. [12:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
  749. [12:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  750. [12:29 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 8, Result: 8
  751. [12:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Brain- you are right, it's hilaario- Ahha...."
  752. [12:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Ahahhaa... Ahahhaha!"
  753. [12:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast starts laughing, uncontrollably, and starts to convulse!(edited)
  754. [12:29 PM] Eon: Sling Bardic at Sully.
  755. [12:29 PM] Eon: Move back 30 feet, pass!
  756. [12:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rowan.
  757. [12:30 PM] Eon: "Take this opportunity, and strike, my friend."
  758. [12:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sully gains bardic inspiration!
  759. [12:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (What's your bardic dice at, 1d6?)
  760. [12:30 PM] Eon: (yea)
  761. [12:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (kk)
  762. [12:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The other ghast just looks at his ally weirdly.
  763. [12:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "What the-"
  764. [12:30 PM] Faerie: (How many uses of Bardic was it per long rest, again? 3?)
  765. [12:31 PM] Eon: (cha mod, 2/3 so far)
  766. [12:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "What the hell, it wasn't even funny." Dropping the whole zombie shitick, the ghast - the one that isn't laughing - gets more serious.(edited)
  767. [12:32 PM] Faerie: (Font of Inspiration's pretty big, huh)
  768. [12:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (washroom, brb)
  769. [12:32 PM] Bot Fodder: (Tasha's doesn't grant advantage, right?)
  770. [12:32 PM] Eon: (prone, but please don't poke it)
  771. [12:32 PM] Eon: (prone and incap, even)
  772. [12:32 PM] Eon: (but seriously don't stab it)
  773. [12:32 PM] Faerie: (They're incapacitated, so it should. Gets to make another save if you kick it, though)
  774. [12:32 PM] Faerie: (Assassin, though)
  775. [12:32 PM] Eon: (that's for surprise!)
  776. [12:32 PM] Faerie: (Oh, rip)
  777. [12:32 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan raises her crossbow in a fluid motion, pulling the trigger the instant her shot aligns with her target's head -- in this case, the serious 'zombie.' If they've moved to flank, she should have a clear shot around her allies.
  778. [12:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
  779. [12:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That's fine, go for it.
  780. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (The prone incapa would give adv/disadv for neutral)
  781. [12:34 PM] Bot Fodder: roll 2d20 +5 disadvantage (range: 60 ft)
  782. [12:34 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [2d20]: 3,10, Result: 13
  783. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (since lolrange)
  784. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...?
  785. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: the ghast's at 30ft unless you moved back.
  786. [12:34 PM] Eon: (cbow is like 80/320, anyhow)
  787. [12:34 PM] Faerie: (Oh, right, prone's disadvantage for ranged weapons anyway)
  788. [12:34 PM] Bot Fodder: (It's only a hand crossbow, sadly.)
  789. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Hand is shorter-ish, but still
  790. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: However, it's 30ft
  791. [12:34 PM] Bot Fodder: (Should I reroll?)
  792. [12:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Sure, reroll.
  793. [12:35 PM] Bot Fodder: roll 1d20+5 please bot
  794. [12:35 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 3, Result: 8
  795. [12:35 PM] Bot Fodder: (Bot has spoken. RIP)
  796. [12:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Your crossbow bolt sails into the tree.
  797. [12:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Anything else?
  798. [12:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Camellia, your turn after. (I want some caffeine badly, but that's just me...)
  799. [12:36 PM] Bot Fodder: If there's cover available, she'll duck behind it and try to keep track of the bandits in the background. Pass.
  800. [12:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There's your allies.
  801. [12:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But that aside... Not many.
  802. [12:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Camellia, your turn.
  803. [12:36 PM] Faerie: (Think forcing one of the bandits to move into melee (into the ghasts' stench range) is a good idea?)(edited)
  804. [12:36 PM] Mizuki: Whispering incantations, Camellia pointed her blade to the ghast that was recently struck by Rein, the ruby glowing a soft purple as the fiend was marked on the inside. [Hex on dex.]. She wasted no time and charged in, enveloping her blade in bright fire and attempting a strike! - "Careful with the bandits, they readied their crossbows!"
  805. [12:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I'll let you in on the memes, they are used to it and doesn't take it.)(edited)
  806. [12:37 PM] Bot Fodder: (Ah, wait, I did rangememes wrong. I should've backed up 15 feet. Oh well.)
  807. [12:37 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d20+5 to hit, fire longsword
  808. [12:37 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 9, Result: 14
  809. [12:37 PM] Faerie: (Wow, cheaters)
  810. [12:37 PM] Eon: Whatever they were readying for, however? Elliot wonders.
  811. [12:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Wew, uhhhh
  812. [12:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 14 is a hit
  813. [12:37 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d8+3 fire damage
  814. [12:37 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d8+3]: 8, Result: 11
  815. [12:37 PM] Faerie: (>fire longsword
  816. What is this meme)
  817. [12:37 PM] Mizuki: (YEAH)
  818. [12:38 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d6 necrotic
  819. [12:38 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d6]: 5, Result: 5
  820. [12:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You slash away the protection of necromatic damage,
  821. [12:38 PM] Eon: (these high rolls)
  822. [12:38 PM] Faerie: (KOGA DID YOU GIVE THAT THING MAGIC RESISTANCE PIERCE AT LEVEL 3)
  823. [12:38 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (longsword that can enhance with fire ?! dem i want that for my chunni build)(edited)
  824. [12:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: but the necrotic damage is resisted by the ghast, dissipating into their flesh with only some of their normal effects.(edited)
  825. [12:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Magic resistance pierce?)
  826. [12:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (pls, it's pure fire)
  827. [12:39 PM] Mizuki: She swings the blade to the side, searing the ghast's flesh. [pass!]
  828. [12:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Init count 20... Well, doesn't matter. Down to 19, Sully,
  829. [12:39 PM] Faerie: (I seriously have no fucking clue how the frontline looks right now. It's cluttered)
  830. [12:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: the stench covers your every orifice.
  831. [12:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Constitution save DC 10
  832. [12:40 PM] Runic: roll 1d20+3
  833. [12:40 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+3]: 14, Result: 17
  834. [12:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's a grand melee , a zone of engagement :smugpopo:
  835. [12:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are fine.
  836. [12:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You've had worse.
  837. [12:40 PM] Faerie: (It should be alright as long as everyone's within 5' of Laiofe)
  838. [12:40 PM] Mizuki: (gonna get some water, brb)
  839. [12:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Rein isn't atm)
  840. [12:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (you moved 30, rein moved 20)
  841. [12:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (a ghast is between you and him, likely the one lol'ing)
  842. [12:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (more accurately, rofl'ing.)
  843. [12:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (that ghast IS prone.)(edited)
  844. [12:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Anyways, Sully, it's your turn, ahem.
  845. [12:42 PM] Eon: (you have bardic, don't forget)
  846. [12:42 PM] Runic: (Wait wait wait, what's going on with the Ghasts? How far away from me are they and all that?)
  847. [12:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Both of them are next to you.
  848. [12:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One of them is laughing.
  849. [12:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The other is busy being slashed by blade of fire.
  850. [12:44 PM] Runic: Able to overcome the awful stench, Sully manages. Nevertheless, Sully proceeds to swing his club. Wanting to help finish up the ghast that has been slashed by Camellia, he swings his club at it
  851. [12:44 PM] Runic: roll 1d20+4
  852. [12:44 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+4]: 10, Result: 14
  853. [12:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That's a solid strike.
  854. [12:44 PM] Faerie: (Ahh, fuck. I just realized, Rage's focus doesn't need the target of your opponent's attack to be in your range, it works as long as your ENEMY is within 5 feet of you. Nice.)
  855. [12:45 PM] Runic: roll 1d8+2
  856. [12:45 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d8+2]: 4, Result: 6
  857. [12:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The undead's flesh bruise and cracks under your magical club.
  858. [12:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It howls in pain.
  859. [12:45 PM] Runic: As soon as it strikes, Sully casts Thunderous Smite
  860. [12:45 PM] Eon: (smite is a BA!)
  861. [12:45 PM] Runic: (And?)
  862. [12:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (You have to cast the Smite series of spells before your attack connect, normally.)
  863. [12:45 PM] Mizuki: (you gotta cast smite before you hit)
  864. [12:46 PM] Runic: (Oh....)
  865. [12:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (If you cast it now, it'll be concentrated on)
  866. [12:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Uh
  867. [12:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: I'll allow it this one time.
  868. [12:46 PM] Mizuki: (ALSO)
  869. [12:46 PM] Faerie: (FAE FOR FUCK'S SAKE, TALOS' EXTRA ATTACK TAKES A BONUS ACTION REEEEEEEE)
  870. [12:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: I understand your intent, and this is first-time thing :ok_hand:
  871. [12:46 PM] Faerie: (Ahem.)
  872. [12:46 PM] Runic: (Sorry! First time :sadpopo: )
  873. [12:46 PM] Mizuki: (don't forget thunderous smite makes a very loud boom)
  874. [12:46 PM] Faerie: (It's a pretty sweet spell, dude)
  875. [12:46 PM] Runic: (That is fine!)
  876. 12:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (300ft, yes.)
  877. [12:46 PM] Runic: roll 2d6
  878. [12:46 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [2d6]: 5,6, Result: 11
  879. [12:47 PM] Mizuki: (ptsd intensifies)
  880. [12:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Thunder sounds, and a loud sonic explosion rends and caved in the ghast's arm, wounding it greviously!

1014. [1:01 PM] Faerie: (Actually, how does Parry interact with rider effects on attacks if it decreases damage to 0, Koga?)

  1070. [1:06 PM] Faerie: (I think it'd help)

1079. [1:07 PM] Faerie: (You mean mind rape torture, right?)
1080. [1:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They moved back 30ft after the strike, into the tree, with exceptional familiarity with the lay of the land.
1081. [1:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The trees would hamper those with less knowledge of the forest, but the Greenwood Militia call this place their home.
1082. [1:08 PM] Eon: Moving 30 feet forward, but not being silly enough to engage the Ghast, Elliot claps his hands.
  1083. "That's quite enough, now."
1084. Shatter on two, not three, of them.
  1085. [1:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.

1096. [1:09 PM] Eon: Elliot frowns. Rather gruesome, but what was to be done?
1097. [1:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... That's with them making the save.

1106. [1:10 PM] Faerie: (Jesus fuck)
1107. [1:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast is having none of that. "You killed my ally, we do not forgive."

1109. [1:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast's still in the fight.

1123. [1:11 PM] Runic: (I only have Compelled duel to prevent one from running, that's all I got)
1124. [1:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (the fact that you have compelled duel is lulzy)
1125. [1:12 PM] Faerie: (Alright, just asking. Just for posterity's sake, I can action to pull something closer to its closest enemy if it fails the same, and BA to lock someone's movement unless they move closer to a foe as well)
  1126. [1:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (it's great XD)
1127. [1:12 PM] Runic: (That if it makes the save to move away...)

1144. [1:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Camellia, your turn.
1145. [1:16 PM] Mizuki: Camellia's blade fizzles as she remembers she actually doesn't know how to make it catch fire! The girl concentrates and the mark jumps to the ghast still up! She once again swings her blade.
1146. [1:16 PM] Eon: (are you Booming Blading?)
1147. [1:16 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d20+5 to hit booming blade, yes!
  1148. [1:16 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 6, Result: 11
1149. [1:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast sidesteps...
1150. [1:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast knows that he's outnumbered, and throwing away his unlife isn't exactly desirable. However, surely... He turns around toward the bandit that surrendered. "... The mistress will make you into one of us. I swear my blood upon it." The ghast says, with finality of a fatalist.
  1151. [1:17 PM] Mizuki: pass
1152. [1:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sully, your turn; top of the round.
1153. [1:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The bandit seems a bit wary, somewhat intimidated by the notion. "..."
1154. [1:18 PM] Runic: With 2 out of 3 bandits dropped dead, and 1 left surrendered. There's only the ghast left to deal with, Sully quickly throws a swing to the side of its chest, attemping to land a blow
  1155. [1:18 PM] Runic: roll 1d20+4
  1156. [1:18 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+4]: 17, Result: 21
  1157. [1:18 PM] Runic: roll 1d8+2
  1158. [1:18 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d8+2]: 2, Result: 4
1159. [1:18 PM] Bot Fodder: "I don't know where that protection came from, but it's not the work of an amateur," Rowan says grimly, staring down the Ghast. "What mistress commands such might, such dedication? We have no quarrel with her!"
1160. [1:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast flows with the blow, taking only superficial damage.
1161. [1:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast sneers at Rowan.
1162. [1:19 PM] Bot Fodder: ... In the throes of its last battle, Rowan hopes the undead will make a slip.
1163. [1:20 PM] Runic: With a blow to the ghasts, Sully follows up by casting Compell Duel at the ghast. "Now will be your last undead. Face me"
1164. [1:20 PM] Runic: DC wis save 12
  1165. [1:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  1166. [1:20 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 13, Result: 13
1167. [1:20 PM] Runic: Whelp, end turn
1168. [1:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Well, the ghast isn't going anywhere anyhow.
  1169. [1:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Laiofe.
1170. [1:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Your turn while I take too much coffee brb 30 seconds
1171. [1:21 PM] Faerie: Laiofe takes a hand, clenching it tight-hot instead of striking yet again. It meets his forehead, index finger pointed to the skies - calling for attention, calling out the heat. ''Behold!'' Like a bullet, his elbow fires against the ghast, sound distorting around them both as a purple flicker envelops the point of contact for the shortest of instants. [Brute Strike as a Bonus Action, 3 pp]
  1172. [1:21 PM] Faerie: roll 1d20+4 attack
  1173. [1:21 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+4]: 15, Result: 19
  1174. [1:22 PM] Faerie: roll 3d6+3 bludgeoning
  1175. [1:22 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [3d6+3]: 6,2,4, Result: 15
1176. [1:22 PM] Faerie: ''Toh!'' He shifts around to kick at - nay, kick himself away from the ghast right after! [Reaction to Knock-Back, spending 1pp, STR save against DC 12]
1177. [1:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright, uh.
  1178. [1:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20+3
  1179. [1:22 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+3]: 6, Result: 9
1180. [1:23 PM] Bot Fodder: (Rowan thinks Laiofe is looking kind of dumb cool with his finger and his thumb in the shape of an L on his forehead.)(edited)
1181. [1:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ghast flies backward, soaring away from the powerful blow.
1182. [1:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: How far was it?
  1183. [1:23 PM] Faerie: 10 feet.
  1184. [1:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Hm.
1185. [1:23 PM] Faerie: And with that, he jumps right the fuck out of there right into the bandit's face. [Mighty Leap for 3 pp, 60 foot jump as part of movement]
1186. [1:24 PM] Eon: (all the psionic memes)
1187. [1:24 PM] Faerie: (Shouldn't proc AoO since it was after the knockback, I guess)
  1188. [1:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
  1189. [1:24 PM] Faerie: Pass.
1190. [1:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The bandit shrugs.
1191. [1:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rein, your turn.
1192. [1:24 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (wew is that ghast still not dead yet)
1193. [1:24 PM] Bot Fodder: (Nope lel)
1194. [1:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Alright, do you want me to put my hand on my back, in the air, or?" The bandit asks.
1195. [1:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (The ghast's arleady dead tho)
  1196. [1:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :nicosmug: )
1197. [1:25 PM] Mizuki: (I have absolutely no clue what Fae's doing kek)
1198. [1:25 PM] Bot Fodder: (Temp HP strong)
1199. [1:25 PM] Runic: (Uhh knock backed the Ghast, then super jump towards the bandit so it has less reason to turn around and book it)
1200. [1:25 PM] Bot Fodder: (He doesn't want the bandit to run off. Which is a very real possibility, given how easily they can move through the trees.)
1201. [1:25 PM] Eon: A jingle reveals one of the sets of manacles Elliot purchased. Such foresight!
1202. [1:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Ghasts aren't ghouls, and actually have some HP to them. :sadpopo: )(edited)
1203. [1:26 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: Rein strikes the ghast with his sword
  1204. [1:26 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1s8+5
  1205. [1:26 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d8+5
  1206. [1:26 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d8+5]: 3, Result: 8
1207. [1:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You would have to move forward a bit, as it was knocked away.
1208. [1:26 PM] Faerie: His eyes glow. ''I don't have a preference.'' He catches himself in the moment, and adds ''Just stay put and you'll walk out alive.''
1209. [1:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Your strike goes for the ghast.
1210. [1:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Now, first, roll your to-hit.
1211. [1:26 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Oh yeah, forgot bout that knockback)
1212. [1:27 PM] Mizuki: (Yes, I understand what he is doing on the roleplay sense, just not how mystic stuff works, gotta give it a read later)
1213. [1:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Seems good." The bandit nods. "My life is in your hand, Child of Elsewhere."
1214. [1:27 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (hmm i've already rolled the first hit, aye? the 8)
  1215. [1:27 PM] Eon: (d20)
1216. [1:27 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (I'm blind now)
  1217. [1:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Hahaha)
  1218. [1:27 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d20+5
  1219. [1:27 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 18, Result: 23
1220. [1:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Aye, your strike hits, and dealt damage,
  1221. [1:27 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d8+3
  1222. [1:27 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d8+3]: 6, Result: 9
1223. [1:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: turning the ghast into an inanimated pile of gore.
  1224. [1:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Combat's over.
1225. [1:28 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "Take that, you rotting piece of dead meat"
1226. [1:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: With the bandit having given up, and no other hostiles, you are able to clean up after the combat.
1227. [1:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The bandits carry light crossbows and bolts, as well as scimitars, but they are of low quality and not very sellable.
1228. [1:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You can use them for your own purpose, probably.
1229. [1:29 PM] Faerie: (Man. I changed my mind)
1230. [1:29 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (more swords. yey)
  1231. [1:29 PM] Faerie: (Brute Force's awesome)
1232. [1:29 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan takes one of the crossbows. Some extra range would certainly come in handy. She has to adapt to fighting in such an environment.
1233. [1:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for the ghasts, they had some gemstones with them.
1234. [1:30 PM] Eon: Elliot will step pass the piles of gore, and produce the manacles, and if not resisted, clamp them onto the bandit-san.
1235. [1:30 PM] Mizuki: Camellia sheates her blade. - "You alright, sir Rein?"
1236. [1:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 2 onyxs, each worth 50 GP.
1237. [1:30 PM] Eon: "What is your name, sir?"
1238. [1:30 PM] Bot Fodder: (Should we appoint a treasurer?)
1239. [1:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The bandit takes the manacle well.
1240. [1:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Name? Well..."
  1241. [1:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (generating)
1242. [1:30 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: Rein uses 2nd Wind
  1243. [1:30 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: roll 1d10+3
  1244. [1:30 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d10+3]: 2, Result: 5
1245. [1:31 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "I am fine, Ojou-sama. ''Tis is but a mere scratch"
1246. [1:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Rionid of Greenwood." The bandit answers.
1247. [1:31 PM] Faerie: Laiofe grabs one of the c... corp...- dead bandits over the shoulder, asking Elliot to carry the other one back with him.
1248. [1:32 PM] Eon: "Very well, Rionid. We see no reason to hurt you, should you answer our questions truthfully."
1249. [1:32 PM] Eon: Elliot grimaces. Dirty work, but he'll comply.
1250. [1:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I will answer what I am able." Rionid nods. He doesn't really see himself getting out of this any other way.
1251. [1:33 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan takes to pacing around the bandit with arms folded. She doesn't speak immediately.
1252. [1:33 PM] Faerie: ''I'm not sure how burials work here, but should we see them off? These were people up until a moment ago.'' Laiofe pauses. ''Good job, Elliot.''
1253. [1:33 PM] Mizuki: "Get some rest, will you?" - She said with a smile joining the others
1254. [1:33 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "I'll carry the dead bandit, Elliot sama"
1255. [1:33 PM] Runic: "Well... I'll go clean up the bodies" Sully sighs, 'Nutrients for nature, like your parents told you. its fine,' he thinks to himself, not too fond of having to handle corpses. 'Wait, what do I do with undead corpses, is it fine if I bury them too?'. For now he'll just cast mold earth, creating graves for the two bandits that were killed
1256. [1:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... It is curious that you are questioning a common soldier such as I." Rionid comments. "I do not think the high nobles of Ahrimal would care for such."
1257. [1:35 PM] Runic: "Everyone soul and body in this world is important" Sully comments loudly from the treeline, still attempting to bury the corpses. Following his druidic teachings
1258. [1:35 PM] Eon: "We are not high nobles, by any stretch of the imagination.."
1259. [1:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "You command an alchemical golem." He comments, referring to Laiofe, "And you have a noblewoman there."
1260. [1:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I consider that to be high nobles... Sir."
1261. [1:36 PM] Faerie: Laiofe doesn't share the bandit's sentiment: they were there to stop Denstead from getting plowed, and that was that. What does amaze him is Sullivan's matery of earth, however! ''That's... really impressive. I didn't know magic could do that.''
  1262. [1:36 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (>golem. heh)
1263. [1:36 PM] Eon: "Well. It's more complex than that, but that's neither here or now." Elliot coughs.
1264. [1:36 PM] Mizuki: "I thought you were idealists, why are you allying with udead?" - Asked the girl putting her hair behind her ear.
1265. [1:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Right, this is an interrogation." He shrugs. "As for the undead..."
  1266. [1:37 PM] Faerie: (>golem
1267. This is the moment where I realize, in my pursuit of memes I've become what I hate the most)
1268. [1:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Not all of us agreed with it, but our leader's allied with a necromancer from the north." Rionid says.
1269. [1:38 PM] Eon: "What for? Does this have to do with the village of Denstead?"(edited)
1270. [1:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Considering that it's beneficial to our cause, and going against it won't help anyone, I personally did not questioned. As for Denstead?"(edited)
1271. [1:38 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan pauses to regard the druid, but only for a moment before turning back to the captive.
  1272. [1:38 PM] Bot Fodder: (>Denver)
  1273. [1:38 PM] Bot Fodder: (I choked)
1274. [1:38 PM] Eon: (Phaldenver Kappa)
1275. [1:38 PM] Runic: With the two bandits burried, Sully moves onto the other two corpses of the undead. He shrugs and decides to bury them as well. 'It'll be fine.' he thinks, and starts dragging them towards the treeline individually before making graves to bury them as well
1276. [1:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Denstead... Hm." Rionid thinks. "I am unsure of our leader's motive, mind you. But I can tell you what I think, and what I was told. Is that fine?"
1277. [1:39 PM] Eon: "Go ahead."
1278. [1:39 PM] Faerie: Laiofe would sigh if he could, not taking kindly to comments like that. He'd threaten to beat his ass if something insulted him like that back at Home, but... well, he won't.
1279. [1:39 PM] Faerie: ''Go on, what do you know?''
1280. [1:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "We were told to remove the villagers from Denstead, one way or another, so that they wouldn't disturb us while we study... The, ah. Portal."
  1281. [1:39 PM] Eon: A cocked eyebrow.
1282. [1:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I think our leader is a bit obsessed with the portal - there's one that appeared in the ruin." Rionid explains.
1283. [1:40 PM] Eon: To be fair, a portal.. Elsewhere.. a Horizon Walker.
1284. [1:40 PM] Eon: Makes sense.
1285. [1:40 PM] Eon: "Did he tell you where to?"
1286. [1:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "We stumbled upon it a few weeks ago, when we were scouting the area out and making relationship with Denstead. Our leader became increasingly agitated when he found the portal, and insist on removing the villagers."
1287. [1:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The portal? I do not know. It doesn't really concern me, I think, and I don't particularly care for exploring Elsewhere."
1288. [1:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ".... Not that I have anything but respect for you, Children of Elsewhere." He refers to Laiofe. "Ahrimal's prejudice against your kind is part of the reason why we fight against the injustice."
1289. [1:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Admittedly, it's the first time I see a golem bearing the symbol of albatross."
1290. [1:43 PM] Eon: "Why did you join the Greenwood Militia, yourself?"
1291. [1:43 PM] Faerie: ''His own Elsewhere, I'd suspect. Hm. But, why is clearing the village out necessary? I can't imagine a man like him turning to violence so quickly, that necromancer might be involved?''
1292. [1:43 PM] Mizuki: Camellia glances at Laiofe. She can't help but feel a little pity towards Greenwood. - "And this necromancer? Do you know where she is exactly?" - Asked the girl. Should be the mistress the ghast mentioned on it's dying words.
1293. [1:43 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Hm? My parents were Children of Elsewhere, but they died after a series of stoning." The man says, coolly.
1294. [1:43 PM] Faerie: ''Thanks. You do what you can to cope, I suppose. Still trying to deal with it, in a way.'' ...And failing.(edited)
1295. [1:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The kingdom of Ahrimal is rotten to the core, and I am more than happy to assist the Greenwood Militia."
1296. [1:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "This necromancer.. Ah, yes."
1297. [1:44 PM] Eon: Elliot hides his offense at that. He might be a native, and a semi-proud one at that, but Ahrimal was far more perfect.
1298. [1:45 PM] Bot Fodder: "It is a sorrowful thing, to be so disfranchised. But there are worse kingdoms than Ahrimal," Rowan says bitterly. "Did this Necromancer take interest in the portal as well?"
1299. [1:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I don't particularly like her, so I don't mind filling the beans on her." He says. "She's a necromancer, an agent from Griola, the Eternal Niflheim. The land of undead from north."
1300. [1:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I don't know about her interest." He shrugs. "Doesn't concern me."
1301. [1:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well, more that I don't care, as long as she helps us against Ahrimal."
1302. [1:46 PM] Runic: "Griola, huh..." Can I make a save seeing if Sully knows anything more about that land?
1303. [1:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Griola is a good distance to the north, and has very little contact with Ahrimal. They are actually officially on friendly terms with Ahrimal, but spys from Griola such as the necromancer does turn up once in a while.
1304. [1:46 PM] Runic: (Well, nvm then)
  1305. [1:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (wew)
1306. [1:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I don't have much on Griola.)
1307. [1:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Even if you ask, I don't have anything to give :sadpopo: )
1308. [1:47 PM] Faerie: ''Now, I've never had the misfortune of witnessing something so cruel, but... my condolences.'' Could he really blame that man for wanting to lash out against his family's killers? Laiofe muses, unsure himself.
1309. [1:47 PM] Runic: (No worries, it's cool)
1310. [1:47 PM] Faerie: (I'm starting to get Fire Emblem vibes from this)
1311. [1:47 PM] Bot Fodder: (Based on the title, I take it Griola is known for necromancy?)
  1312. [1:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Yep.)
1313. [1:47 PM] Mizuki: Camellia crouches, staring at the man's eyes. - "I'm sorry to hear what happened to your family, but don't you think you might be doing the same now that you are on the Greenwood side? Killing villagers that have nothing to do with your fight, allying with undead... Maybe you should start anew, somewhere else."
1314. [1:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Killing? That's for the extremists. We haven't killed anyone... Yet."
1315. [1:48 PM] Eon: "My lady.." Were they really going to risk him scurrying off and telling the others?
  1316. [1:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Well, though I don't know about our leader's intentions."
1317. [1:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "As for undead... Is there anything wrong with it? They might be unnatural, but they were once living, breathing men. If their will is iron, and their mettle true, I do not mind them."
1318. [1:49 PM] Mizuki: "What of the village? We both know it's just a matter of time with your people's increasing demands." - She continued.
1319. [1:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "..." Rionid thinks. "... They'll eventually have to leave."
1320. [1:50 PM] Faerie: ''I see...'', responds someone feeling acknowledged.
1321. [1:50 PM] Mizuki: "And where would they go?"
1322. [1:50 PM] Eon: "That's hardly fair, is it?"
1323. [1:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Ahrimal?" He doesn't seem to know. "They live off the forest, just like us. Relocating wouldn't kill them."
  1324. [1:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Fair?"
1325. [1:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He shrugs. "Life isn't fair."
1326. [1:51 PM] Mizuki: "With those fiends you are now allied with, I don't know about that."
1327. [1:51 PM] Eon: Elliot stares impassively at the man. This was terribly hypocritical, wasn't it?
1328. [1:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Persuasion or intimidation, Camellia.
1329. [1:51 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d20+2 persuasion (can someone help?)
  1330. [1:51 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 17, Result: 19
1331. [1:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (It's your own words, so no.)
1332. [1:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "..." He falls silent.
1333. [1:52 PM] Faerie: ''Well, why let that stop you? You don't seem like a bad sort.''
1334. [1:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... You might be correct, but that doesn't mean you are in the right." He sighs. "While our recent methods are indeed questionable, I think there's something that I can do to help this land. And you, too, shuold consider it."
1335. [1:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He says, looking at Camellia, "Why serve a kingdom that hurts elves, Children of Elsewhere, and research into dark secrets, such as the owlbears in the forest?"
1336. [1:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Join us. The Greenwood need capable folks like you."
1337. [1:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (This is a 1/8 CR bandit with +0 to charisma, what am I even doing.jpg)
  1338. [1:54 PM] Faerie: (branching_choices.png)
1339. [1:54 PM] Mizuki: Camellia rises to her feet, resting her left hand on her waistline. - "I don't like involving innocent people on my fights."
1340. [1:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I share that sentiment. Fair enough, however. This life isn't for everyone."
1341. [1:55 PM] Eon: Wholly unadvisable, and utterly inconsiderable. The Fireblooms were already not in the best position in Ahrimal, Camellia running off and joining the Greenwood Militia, if she would, would not end well in the slightest.
1342. [1:56 PM] Eon: He doubts it'll end well for them, anyhow.
1343. [1:56 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan shakes her head and looks at the man with a pained smile. "Innocent or not... it seems clear who is guilty. It sounds like you've been twice had by the powers that be, friend. I do not know your leader, but Griola cares for you as Ahrimal does."
1344. [1:56 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (This is getting deep yo)
1345. [1:57 PM] Bot Fodder: She begins playing to the man's prejudices. "They covet what you've discovered, and when they have it, your role will be done. Have you not thought as much yourself?"
1346. [1:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I don't have much other useful information. I... Suppose I'll tell you a bit about our leader." Rionid thinks, before answering, "If you seek to stop him, it wouldn't be bad for Greenwood Militia either, in theory."
1347. [1:58 PM] Eon: "Curious. Why would you say something like that?"
1348. [1:58 PM] Faerie: ''...While I won't pretend to be privy to your plight, there's always a right way and a wrong way to do things. I don't wish your kind harm, but this? What you've been doing edges on madness.'' Maybe Elliot could take these concerns to court? Laiofe wonders.
1349. [1:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid really doesn't care about Griola, and that's of little concern to him, evident in his expression.(edited)
1350. [1:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Something like what?"
1351. [1:59 PM] Eon: "If your leader were to be stopped."
1352. [1:59 PM] Faerie: ''Is it that you still cling to the idea of Greenwood's standing for something?'', he asks with genuine interest.
1353. [1:59 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The Militia is, unfortunately, not altogether one common hivemind. We do individually have our vision. Our leader's becoming exceedingly extremist, and that does not sit well with me."
1354. [2:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I prefer if we stop Ahrimal, not burn and pillage the land."
1355. [2:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Standing for something... Well."
1356. [2:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid pauses. "What does the albatross mean to you, ye Child of Elsewhere? For us, this green armband means something on that level. For me, personally, it reminds me of how my parents died." He says. "Perhaps we don't have something on your level. We really only have our lives to throw on the line."
1357. [2:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I just want my homeland to not be a place of mad experiments and prejudice."
1358. [2:03 PM] Mizuki: "To me it looks like many use the militia as an excuse to raid and pillage." - Said Camellia with a sigh - "I fear they're deviating from what you hoped to be a part of and your efforts would be better used somewhere else."
1359. [2:03 PM] Bot Fodder: "... Mad experiments?"
1360. [2:03 PM] Eon: Elliot frowns. He would be remiss to not understand that his upbringing and position in Ahrimal was one of privledge..
1361. [2:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Have you seen the owlbears in the forest?"
1362. [2:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "It's a bear, but with owl head, and both of the part's fury."
1363. [2:04 PM] Eon: "... Go on." He was no stranger to madness in alchemy. After all, Loaife was right next to him.(edited)
1364. [2:05 PM] Runic: "I've heard tales, but yes go on"
1365. [2:05 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: Rein draws his Moon-touched shortsword and starts swinging it around, playing.
1366. [2:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He turns to look at Camellia. "... Somewhere else? Like where? I don't have anywhere else I belong. I don't even have a name to call my own, and use Greenwood as my identity instead."
1367. [2:06 PM] Bot Fodder: "What would you have that name stand for, then?"
1368. [2:06 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid shrugs. Right now, that's his identity.
1369. [2:07 PM] Faerie: ''For me, it's about family, my roots. I... they're likely gone.'' Laiofe glances at the sky. ''Birds are forced to spread their wings at sea, with nowhere to perch on. So that I never forget the one thing that keeps me going, I made the symbol part of me. But what's it to you?''
1370. [2:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid is silent. He doesn't have much to add to that.(edited)
1371. [2:08 PM] Eon: "Even so, you surely cannot say that alchemy does not benefit those who live under the sky. The pursuit of knowledge itself cannot possibly be condemned, though I am well aware of those who go.. too far." A thought of his mother.
  1372. [2:08 PM] Eon: ... Would she?
1373. [2:08 PM] Mizuki: (how old does Rionid look like?)
1374. [2:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Persuasion, Elliot.
  1375. [2:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (18 - 25?)
  1376. [2:09 PM] Eon: roll 1d20+5
  1377. [2:09 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+5]: 20, Result: 25
  1378. [2:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
  1379. [2:09 PM] Eon: (huh.)
1380. [2:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... You might be right." He sighs.
  1381. [2:09 PM] Runic: (perfect)
1382. [2:09 PM] Mizuki: (fucking nice)
1383. [2:09 PM] Faerie: (Ruh roh)
  1384. [2:09 PM] Mizuki: (we're changing a man's life right here lads)
1385. [2:09 PM] Bot Fodder: (:smugpopo:)
1386. [2:09 PM] Faerie: (Yes, through the implicit threat of force)
1387. [2:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I am unhappy with the way things are in the Greenwood. I am unhappy about Ahrimal. I am a man with no place to go." He expresses.
1388. [2:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "You may as well as strike me down." He says, seemingly having given up.
1389. [2:10 PM] Eon: "Then.. come with us? Perhaps you'll find what you're looking for."
1390. [2:10 PM] Mizuki: (NPC FRIEND)
1391. [2:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "..." He looks at Elliot. "..."
1392. [2:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "If you are able to trust someone like me, then perhaps you can't be all that bad."
1393. [2:11 PM] Eon: "Rionid doesn't seem like a shabby person, does he, my lady?" Elliot turns, pushing.
1394. [2:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Very well." He sighs.
1395. [2:11 PM] Faerie: ''Let me tell you something, buddy.''
1396. [2:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Is this my GMPC  )
  1397. [2:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (a CR 1/8 bandit  )
1398. [2:11 PM] Mizuki: Camellia smiles brightly, turning to Elliot. - "Maybe he will find the place he belongs, yes."
  1399. [2:11 PM] Runic: (random bandit #3)
1400. [2:12 PM] Eon: (hey at least he can't steal a spotlight at CR1/8)
1401. [2:12 PM] Eon: "Very good, then." With a light smile, Elliot would release the manacles, given no objections.
1402. [2:13 PM] Mizuki: Camellia nods in approval.
1403. [2:13 PM] Runic: Sully nods, comfortable letting man free from being bounded
1404. [2:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well. Your group is of some curiousity to me, as well. If you indeed have an answer for someone like me, then you are my best chance at life." Rionid says, working his wrist. "Rionid, at your service."
1405. [2:14 PM] Faerie: Laiofe squats next to Camellia, and textdumps the important details of his fall to him. How his first memories in Fallshire were those of torture and an electrifying death, how the second thing he saw after awakening (after Elliot) was his own dissassembled corpse - all that fun stuff. |I'm not comparing your pain to mine, but... I'm saying that if something like me has reason enough to stand today, then so can you.|
1406. [2:14 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan is silent, but there is no disapproval in the air about her.
1407. [2:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... In addition to Rionid's friendship, you gain some vital information.
  1408. [2:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  1409.
  1410. [2:14 PM] Eon: >9th level caster
  1411. [2:14 PM] Eon: >CR 6
1412. [2:14 PM] Eon: oh boy.
1413. [2:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You now know more about Telrin Greenwood.
1414. [2:14 PM] Mizuki: (next to Camellia, Fae?)
1415. [2:14 PM] Mizuki: (or Rionid?)
1416. [2:15 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "i do not trust you just yet, but i'll follow my lady's decision" Rein says as he points his sword at Rionid "But, if you were to make even a hint of attempting to hurt my lady, I'll cut you down on the spot" before sheathing his sword
1417. [2:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (next to Camellia, communicating to him)
1418. [2:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Seems legit enough)
1419. [2:15 PM] Faerie: (You sat down in front to him earlier)
1420. [2:15 PM] Eon: "Hey, hey. Be civil, now."
1421. [2:15 PM] Mizuki: (oh, yes)
1422. [2:16 PM] Mizuki: "Come now, Rein, lets not worry too much." - She said smiling.
1423. [2:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He nods. "You shouldn't trust me so much, to be fair. If I was in your position, I don't know if I can be as kind as you. That said, it's up to me to prove my usefulness and trustworthiness..."
1424. [2:16 PM] Faerie: ''I'd see it coming, don't worry.'', Laiofe says very unsubtly hinting that he can read minds. (He totally cannot)
1425. [2:16 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "As you wish, ojou-sama"
1426. [2:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He glances at Laiofe. And simply nods.
1427. [2:17 PM] Eon: "Anyhow, given our rest was rather rudely interrupted, shall we get back to it?"
1428. [2:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "For the time being, I am willing to act as a guide, but I would prefer if you let me stay out of the fight between you and my former companions."
  1429. [2:17 PM] Faerie: (>No Goodberry
  1430. Shit Ranger)
1431. [2:17 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (i like this knight role play. seems fun)
1432. [2:17 PM] Eon: "... That, and we still need to plot a course of action."
1433. [2:17 PM] Eon: Elliot proposes they go straight to the village, of course.
1434. [2:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... It would be wrong for me to raise my blade against my former companions. I hope you understand."
1435. [2:18 PM] Faerie: (Do you think we can keep this dude alive long enough until we get Revivify?)
1436. [2:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (This is entirely unplanned.)
1437. [2:18 PM] Bot Fodder: "An ally that does not fight is still one less enemy. But don't be so quick to assume this must end in violence," Rowan says serenely.
1438. [2:18 PM] Mizuki: She nods, turning to the ex bandit, and walking back to the camp. - "I'm Camellia Firebloom, and yes, it's perfectly understandable. A pleasure to meet you, Rionid."
1439. [2:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid nods. "Firebloom..."
  1440. [2:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  1441. [2:18 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 6, Result: 6
  1442. [2:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Well, it's my pleasure."
1443. [2:19 PM] Faerie: (Also, fucking legendary actions)
1444. [2:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (... "who? must be some random pioneer knight family...")
1445. [2:19 PM] Mizuki: (damn ignorant peasants!)
  1446. [2:20 PM] Bot Fodder: (That's not completely wrong!)(edited)
1447. [2:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Now, with that done, you are able to finish your long rest.
1448. [2:20 PM] Runic: "Sleep first, plan later" Sully blurts while scratching his back and heading back to his tent. "You can come sleep in my tent if you want. "Name's Sully by the way nice to meet you" he says before retreating to his temporary sleeping place
1449. [2:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Hopefully that fight got your gears going.
1450. [2:20 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (EXP! Do we get some?)
1451. [2:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He smiles at Sully. "I'll do that, then."
1452. [2:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: We can stop here and give out XP, if you guys want?
1453. [2:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: I have more material, obviously.
1454. [2:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But we can def. stop for now.
1455. [2:21 PM] Faerie: ''Mine's Laiofe. One O, no H.'' People always got it wrong back then.
1456. [2:21 PM] Bot Fodder: (Hmm. )
  1457. [2:21 PM] Eon: I don't mind keeping on keeping on(edited)
1458. [2:21 PM] Runic: (I'm fine with going a bit more longer if everyone else is)
1459. [2:21 PM] Faerie: (Damn, time flies)
  1460. [2:21 PM] Bot Fodder: (Me too~)
1461. [2:21 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (i'm fine with continuing. Might die halfway cos phone battery but i'll be home soon)
1462. [2:21 PM] Bot Fodder: (And Kogasa probably drank a lot of coffee, so.)
1463. [2:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Elsewise, uh - I give XP out at the end of a session, after totalling the progress. Don't worry!
  1464. [2:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
1465. [2:22 PM] Mizuki: (lets go a bit more!)
1466. [2:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You finish your long rest, perform your end-of-rest rituals...
1467. [2:22 PM] Bot Fodder: (I need a quick restroom break, though. Brb.)
1468. [2:22 PM] Eon: 10 temp hp, AoA.
  1469. [2:22 PM] Faerie: (Sure, it's saturday)
1470. [2:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: I am looking at Elliot and Sully in particular, but well.
1471. [2:22 PM] Runic: (Uhh, looking to see if I have anything)
1472. [2:23 PM] Faerie: (Aaaaand I completely drained half of my daily resources in a single turn. Whew)
1473. [2:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid is mostly quiet during the night, mostly thinking, though he's responsive to questions and inquiries.
1474. [2:23 PM] Runic: More goodberries! Using the rest of my spell slots
1475. [2:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright, goodberry meme is a-ok for me amd my table.
1476. [2:23 PM] Runic: Alright, we now have 40 goodberries to munch on
1477. [2:23 PM] Faerie: (Houserule: You can only goodberry cheese if you bring berries to the table)
1478. [2:23 PM] Mizuki: (Koga, considering I burned my hex during the rest, does it still recharge?)
1479. [2:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Having recovered and rested more, Rionid will describe a bit of the possible encounters from Greenwood Militia.
1480. [2:24 PM] Eon: "Are you injured in any fashion? Nerves? I can always make something for that." Tea or tincture, either helps.
1481. [2:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Yep, recharge at end of long rest)
1482. [2:24 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (i like cheese. gimme cheese)
1483. [2:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I am physically well, but thank you." Rionid says.
1484. [2:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid offers his guidance; While in Verdant Forest with Rionid as guide, you ignore difficult terrain.
1485. [2:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Former Greenwood Militia bonus.
1486. [2:25 PM] Eon: (heeeey we can drag the horses in)
1487. [2:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Yes, you can.)
1488. [2:25 PM] Eon: (he'll have to piggback on another horse, hmm)
1489. [2:25 PM] Faerie: 'Need a punching bag...', Laiofe's mind wanders. Tree? No, not the trees. The druids would get mad if they saw a mechanical person tearing down trees for practice.
1490. [2:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Greenwood Militia encounters:
  1491.
1492. Sky Cavalier: an Wood Elf Archer riding a Giant Owl making rounds around the temporary base located in the ruin
1493. Mauraders: 4 human/half-elven/elven bandits (1/8 CR, 25 XP each) ish with an elven Archer
1494. Greenwood Agents: 1 Druid + 2 bandits, all mounted on wolves
  1495. Undead allies: 2 Ghasts (CR 2, 450) accompanying 3 bandits (1/8 CR)
  1496.
1497. If any of the Greenwood Militia escaped, they'll notify the others when possible, making hostile encounter more likely.
1498. [2:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Is the general structure to Greenwood Militia's presence in these part of the woods.
1499. [2:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are others, of course - the occasional Troll, or owlbears.
1500. [2:27 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Leave no men alive !)
1501. [2:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They aren't part of the Militia, and he know much less about them.
1502. [2:27 PM] Eon: What do we know about Trolls :smugsatori:
1503. [2:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Fire and acid helps against them.
1504. [2:27 PM] Runic: "Rionid, you can tag along on my horse since I'm the lightest. Every other horse would start dragging their hooves with the weight of the others" he snickers (conversation for later in the morning)
1505. [2:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: SOmething of a common nursery rhyme.
1506. [2:28 PM] Faerie: Not yet being used to fighting for real (other than low-brow bandits and hooligans) and surprised at just how exhausted he could still feel, Laiofe welcomes the opportunity to simmer down just as much as anyone else.
1507. [2:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid nods, being closer to Sully due to having spent the night together.
1508. [2:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You make a bee-line toward the village, after the rest, then?
  1509. [2:28 PM] Eon: Mhm.
  1510. [2:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 3d100
  1511. [2:28 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [3d100]: 94,44,9, Result: 147
  1512. [2:28 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (yaoi ?)
  1513. [2:28 PM] Runic: (mizu pls)(edited)
1514. [2:29 PM] Bot Fodder: (... What am I walking in on?)
1515. [2:29 PM] Runic: (Nice high, mid, low roll)
  1516. [2:29 PM] Mizuki: (w-what did I do?)
1517. [2:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The travel is largely uneventful for the early part of it.
1518. [2:29 PM] Runic: (Oh wait, Sorapls!)
1519. [2:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are able to gather a portion of Emerald Nuts, chancing upon some.
  1520. [2:30 PM] Eon:
1521. [2:30 PM] Runic: (Don't know why I got you two mixed up.)
1522. [2:30 PM] Bot Fodder: (Oh... Uh. Is it okay if hand crossbow bolts work with light crossbows and visa versa?)
1523. [2:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You spent good part of the morning on the road, as your horse moves through the trees, keeping low and out of trouble.
1524. [2:30 PM] Mizuki: "Those are not that hard to find, huh, Elliot?" - Pointed out Camellia casually.
1525. [2:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Yeah, bolts are universal ammo for crossbows)
1526. [2:30 PM] Eon: (Do we want to like, gather them for magic items (acid), or make potions from them?)
  1527. [2:31 PM] Faerie: (Greed?)
1528. [2:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid is a fairly decent guide, and indeed knows the area well enough that he can likely travese the place blindfolded.
1529. [2:31 PM] Eon: "There is an element of chance to it, my lady, but indeed, with a bit of experience.."
1530. [2:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Around noon, you come to the village of Denstead....
1531. [2:31 PM] Mizuki: Camellia will keep an eye around on the way, looking for any places of importance, while also writting down a basic map.
1532. [2:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The small village of Denstead, a hamlet really, has just a few wooden huts, located within the Verdant Forest. The curvature of the land suggest that whoever found the hamlet decided on the location due to the ease of access to the nearby lake, created by a meteoric impact. The nearby lake doesn't have an official name, but by naming convensions it would be called Denslake?
  1533.
1534. As suggested by Mil, the village is occupied by the local villagers, who survive primarily on Verdant Fruits. The Emerald Nuts that they find are collected and carried to Ahrimal every once in a while, much like the other hamlets in the forest. The villager's leader is currently missing, reportedly off to deal with the Greenwood Militia, who seeks to remove the villagers from the location. You are, of course, welcomed in the village if you declare your intent, as well as receive lodging if necessary.
  1535.
1536. To the north of the village is a grove of trees that produce Emerald Nuts, and the villagers has since taken upon themselves to tend to the small grove. The wondrous Emerald Nuts can be used in various alchemical recipes, of which the party's alchemist is familiar with.(edited)
1537. [2:31 PM] Faerie: Being beholden to Elliot, Laiofe doesn't mind help him gather in the slightest. ''I can attest to that, experience helps''
1538. [2:33 PM] Eon: Hmm. No reason to not state why they were here, was there?
1539. [2:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Having arrived in the village, it is quiet - though curious villagers are peeking out from their hamlet home.
1540. [2:33 PM] Runic: Sully suggests greeting the villagers and explaing there reason for being here and what there doing
1541. [2:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They quickly greet you with relief once they heard about Mil.
1542. [2:34 PM] Faerie: Well, they'd just be passing through - no reason not to, but there was a job to do
1543. [2:34 PM] Eon: How do they react to Rionid?
1544. [2:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They don't like, recognize every member of the Greenwood Militia.
1545. [2:34 PM] Eon: He's probably still wearing his armband, and all that.
1546. [2:34 PM] Faerie: (He can just take it off like a smart person and stuff)
1547. [2:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Actually, he left it behind.
  1548. [2:35 PM] Eon: O-Oh!
1549. [2:35 PM] Faerie: (Oh, shit.)
1550. [2:35 PM] Bot Fodder: That talk must've really gotten to him.
1551. [2:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He was convinced, and ended up being disillusioned with the ideals of the current Greenwood Militia.
1552. [2:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Yeah, critically so :nicosmug: )
1553. [2:35 PM] Eon: (crit checks ree)
  1554. [2:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :nicosmug: )
1555. [2:35 PM] Mizuki: Camellia makes sure to report Mil's situation with a smile, and tell the others how brave he was travelling through all that forest alone.
1556. [2:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The villagers are happy, and will provide you with food and drinks, not that you need any.
1557. [2:36 PM] Eon: Elliot will ask for the specifics on the situation. What demands were made of them, how they were approached, things like that?
1558. [2:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They will also help you out in term of information - unfortunately, with nothing that you don't know about.
1559. [2:36 PM] Faerie: ''We left the kid back in town, he'll be fine. Although, I have to say I have no idea how he made it there safely in the first place.''
1560. [2:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You already know more than the villagers on the matter.
1561. [2:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The demands...
1562. [2:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One villager mentioned, "The Greenwood Militias were asking us to leave, but..."
  1563. [2:37 PM] Runic: "But?"
1564. [2:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... We don't want to leave here. The water's good and the grove with us has sentimental value." The villager finishes.
1565. [2:37 PM] Eon: "Sentimental value?"
1566. [2:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Yes, sentimental, and values." Rionid says, quietly.
1567. [2:37 PM] Eon: The Emerald Nuts themselves would be reason enough, but..
1568. [2:37 PM] Faerie: ''For how long has this villa been here?''
1569. [2:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Decades, sir golem."
  1570. [2:38 PM] Mizuki: (>value village)
1571. [2:38 PM] Bot Fodder: (We are now on the RECRUIT FUCKING EVERYTHING route.)
1572. [2:38 PM] Mizuki: Camellia nods. - "You won't have to leave, this is your home after all."
1573. [2:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The villagers murmur and sighs in relief.
1574. [2:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "So, uh..." The villager that was talking looks a bit uneasy. "We don't exactly... Have much to pay you."
1575. [2:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "We can pay in labor, if that's good, guv?"
1576. [2:40 PM] Eon: Elliots clears his throat, if his lady would let him..
1577. [2:40 PM] Mizuki: She smiles. Knowing how it is to lose a home, she will not let other people go through the same!
1578. [2:40 PM] Faerie: (VALUE TOWN)
1579. [2:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Denstead is, as far as you know, under Ahrimal Chessboard.)
1580. [2:41 PM] Mizuki: She also nods towards Elliot. Does he want to say something?
1581. [2:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (So you can't exactly claim this area with Ceremony of Transference, even if you find a way to do it.)
1582. [2:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (That said, they can still be your ally.)
1583. [2:41 PM] Eon: "Indeed, you won't have to acquiesce to the Greenwood Militia, and fear not of payment; but remember the name of the House Firebloom, and the lady of said House who stands right amongst us, Camellia Firebloom."
1584. [2:41 PM] Faerie: ''...'' Laiofe can't and won't speak for others, but money? That's rich. What's a 'golem' supposed to do with money?
1585. [2:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The villagers murmur and talks, happy.
1586. [2:42 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan thinks to herself. She's been studying Ahrimal since she arrived. Do villages like this one owe taxes or labor to the local piece holder?
1587. [2:42 PM] Eon: Elliot side-glances at the grove. Though, that would be useful.. But that's neither here not now.
1588. [2:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It depends; If it's directly under Ahrimal, no.
1589. [2:42 PM] Mizuki: Camellia smiles, silent, her cloak billowing on the wind.
1590. [2:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If it's under a pioneer knight affliated with Ahrimal, it depends on the pioneer knight.
  1591. [2:42 PM] Faerie: (KOGA HE'S CHEATING)
1592. [2:42 PM] Mizuki: (who needs a cape of billowing when you can pretend there's wind!)
1593. [2:43 PM] Faerie: (he doesn't have a cape of billowing)
1594. [2:43 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: This area is fairly ancient, and transferred to Ahrimal Chessboard proper.
1595. [2:43 PM] Eon: Elliot Prestidigitations a small puff of wind on Camellia's cloak if need be!(edited)
1596. [2:43 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Cloak of Mundane Wind OP)
1597. [2:43 PM] Eon: Rather budget, but hey. It would do.
1598. [2:43 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Anyhow, the villagers... They will help you where they are able, though they aren't exactly fighters.
1599. [2:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Is there a plan, or perhaps something you wish to work out with the villagers?
1600. [2:44 PM] Bot Fodder: Ruins and all... No wonder. Nonetheless, such an offer is worth more than the villagers know, and Rowan sees little reason to alter it.
1601. [2:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Or is it "Let's charge the ruin"
1602. [2:44 PM] Mizuki: (it's all good, we can press on!)
  1603. [2:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (noplan.jpg)
  1604. [2:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :ok_hand: )
1605. [2:44 PM] Eon: (I dunno if we can ask them to, in good faith)
1606. [2:44 PM] Runic: (I think the bodycount would be astronimical if we sent them to the ruins)
1607. [2:44 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (no plan best plan)
1608. [2:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (And would defeat the purpose, yes.)
1609. [2:45 PM] Eon: Ah. The grove..
1610. [2:45 PM] Bot Fodder: (We'll try the diplomatic approach first, I think!)
1611. [2:45 PM] Eon: Was it empty, or anything?
1612. [2:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The grove? No, it's filled with
1613. [2:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Ah, "Chestnut" trees.
1614. [2:45 PM] Runic: For now, we'll go on ahead. Tell the villagers to take care, and stay safe and whatnot.
1615. [2:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Not all of them are bearing fruit, mind you.
1616. [2:45 PM] Eon: Elliot adjusts his glasses.
1617. [2:45 PM] Eon: "If we may, could we partake in some of the Emerald Nuts?"
1618. [2:45 PM] Mizuki: "For now, take care, you people." - Said Camellia. - "The militia is different than it used to be, try to stay safe."
1619. [2:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The villager nods. "Sure. Help yourself."
1620. [2:46 PM] Eon: how many portions is that, all quick-like?
1621. [2:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The villagers are worried, but will do as you said, Camellia.
  1622. [2:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Hm.
1623. [2:47 PM] Faerie: (''We suffered heavy casualities, but the village is safe!'' ''What village?'')
  1624. [2:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d6+2
  1625. [2:47 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d6+2]: 4, Result: 6
  1626. [2:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 6 portions.
  1627. [2:47 PM] Eon: :surprisedpopo:
1628. [2:47 PM] Bot Fodder: ("We beat the terrorists!")
1629. [2:47 PM] Eon: Oh man. Elliot thanks them kindly.
1630. [2:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The villagers recognize that it's likely good to, well, pay you lots with that than not paying you and have you turn around 360 degrees and moonwalk away.
1631. [2:48 PM] Eon: But yes, with that out of the way, march on with noplan.png
1632. [2:48 PM] Faerie: (Real talk, why don't we just cave in the ruins.png)
1633. [2:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Straight toward the ruin?
  1634. [2:48 PM] Eon: ( )
  1635. [2:48 PM] Eon: ( I can Shatter..)
1636. [2:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Well, the village elder would likely gg no re)
  1637. [2:48 PM] Mizuki: yeah!
1638. [2:48 PM] Eon: (oh, yeah.)
1639. [2:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (but if you dgaf, that's that)
1640. [2:49 PM] Eon: (lets not flatten the poor guy)
1641. [2:49 PM] Faerie: (Could Laiofe do it with +9 and advantage to athletics?)
1642. [2:49 PM] Bot Fodder: (Would it be possible to scout out the ruins first?)(edited)
1643. [2:49 PM] Faerie: (ACCEPTABLE PRICE)
  1644. [2:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Scouting...
1645. [2:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... You'll have to enter the ruin.
1646. [2:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: THere's no map data on the inside or anything, so.
1647. [2:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: on the way there, do you bring your horses with you?
1648. [2:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If so, you'll enter combat with horses.
1649. [2:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: the distance is 16 miles or so.
1650. [2:50 PM] Eon: We'll leave them outside the ruins, likely.
1651. [2:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Travel pace and declare what you will be doing while you travel.
1652. [2:50 PM] Bot Fodder: (Personally, I think we might be able to walk in and talk many of them down.)
1653. [2:51 PM] Eon: Voting for normal. Intense eyeballing of surroundings for more emerald nuts.
1654. [2:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid is likely one of the exceptions, who holds a just heart and clear conscience.
1655. [2:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Expect more of them to prescribe to their leader's philosophy than not.
1656. [2:51 PM] Faerie: (HMMM. So, about that cave-in...)(edited)
1657. [2:51 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Voting for normal speed as well)
1658. [2:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright, declare your actions while travelling.
1659. [2:51 PM] Mizuki: Normal, yes. Camellia will keep a look around for Find Feature and draw a rough map of the surroundings.
1660. [2:51 PM] Bot Fodder: (Especially since they're free to hurt the Elder whenever... Hrm.)
  1661. [2:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  1662.
1663. [2:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sure, Camellia
1664. [2:52 PM] Eon: (survival, yeah?)
1665. [2:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One sec, Elliot
  1666. [2:52 PM] Eon: (shame I can't use my int skills ;-;)
1667. [2:52 PM] Bot Fodder: (Can we scope out multiple entrances and exits, or are they all sealed?)
1668. [2:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One sec, you are not at the ruin yet.
1669. [2:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: I'll close the action input within a minute
  1670. [2:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 3d100
  1671. [2:53 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [3d100]: 29,30,27, Result: 86
1672. [2:54 PM] Eon: (oh, we could probably check for tracks on wild things or people)
1673. [2:54 PM] Bot Fodder: (I don't have cartography tools, so... I guess I can just roll track untrained?)
1674. [2:54 PM] Eon: (not any great at survival, though)
1675. [2:54 PM] Faerie: ''I'd say our odds of getting lost are minuscule. The wind will cue us''
1676. [2:54 PM] Faerie: Foraging for nuts too
1677. [2:54 PM] Faerie: (Getting lost is for losers)
1678. [2:54 PM] Runic: With a guide present showing them the way, Sully will decide to map out the place. As a pioneer knight, as a second activity, he'll look to see if he notices any owlbear tracks while the group travels
  1679. [2:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Camellia: Wisdom(Survival) once
  1680. Elliot: Wisdom(Survival) once
  1681. Laiofe: Wisdom(Survival) once
  1682. Sully: Perception
1683. [2:55 PM] Runic: (Also Sully has Cartographer's Tools if that's important)
1684. [2:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Everyone else roll perception as well
  1685. [2:55 PM] Eon: roll 1d20+1 :sadpopo:

  1697. [2:55 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+3]: 5, Result: 8
1698. [2:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You do not find Owlbear, per se, but you do find an early warning against a Giant Owl flying in the sky, surveying the area.
  1699. [2:56 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d20+2 survival
  1700. [2:56 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 6, Result: 8
1701. [2:56 PM] Eon: (aw, nuts.)
  1702. [2:56 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d20+2 perception
  1703. [2:56 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 11, Result: 13
1704. [2:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for the ones looking for nuts, none of you made it.
1705. [2:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You get some chestnuts, walnuts, but no Emerald Nuts.
1706. [2:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Autumn is a good harvesting season, though.
1707. [2:57 PM] Eon: More.. food. Elliot supposes.
1708. [2:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for the Giant Owl in the sky,
  1709. [2:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  1710. [2:57 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 8, Result: 8
1711. [2:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... The giant owl or the rider, 60ft in the air, doesn't seem to have noticed you.
1712. [2:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They will quickly leave the area with their flight speed, if you do not engage with it
1713. [2:58 PM] Faerie: Why can't Laiofe hold all these nuts? He acquires instant competence in Stealth, just in case.
1714. [2:58 PM] Eon: (hmm, if only I can lulzer at this range)
1715. [2:58 PM] Eon: (the bird will flop and go splat)
1716. [2:58 PM] Mizuki: (Seems good, let him go)
1717. [2:58 PM] Faerie: (I could pull him to us)
1718. [2:58 PM] Eon: (Yeah, no need for senseless violence and resource wasting)
  1719. [2:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :smugpopo: )
  1720. [2:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( but XP :smugsatori: )
1721. [2:59 PM] Faerie: (Yeah, but I could make him drop 60 feet and it'd be funny)
1722. [2:59 PM] Bot Fodder: As expected, sneaking up on the band of an infamous Ranger is a serious matter. Rowan attempts to lead the group through the best-covered route to avoid being spotted as they draw closer.
1723. [2:59 PM] Mizuki: (DO NOT TEMPT ME WITH SUCH MUNDANE THINGS)
1724. [2:59 PM] Faerie: (I could also jump and kick him off the owl)
1725. [2:59 PM] Runic: (I think we can avoid the giant owlrider Fae... unless the dude somehow joins in with the final battle, flying into the ruins with a giant owl.)
1726. [2:59 PM] Faerie: (Holy shit, wew)
1727. [3:00 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Genocide spree?)
1728. [3:00 PM] Eon: (let it pass, I think?)
1729. [3:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Sneaking through area like this, avoiding elves riding giant owls in the sky...)
1730. [3:00 PM] Faerie: (The mental image excites me greatly.)
1731. [3:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (... it reminds me of the time you guys were avoiding orcs riding giant vultures, all those time ago)
1732. [3:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I have a thing for humanoids riding flying mount, it seems)
1733. [3:00 PM] Faerie: (Dude, didn't you realize earlier? We already found our Saul)
  1734. [3:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  1735. [3:00 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 7, Result: 7
1736. [3:00 PM] Bot Fodder: ()
1737. [3:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The giant owl flies, away-ward.
  1738. [3:01 PM] Faerie: (>elves
  1739. How the tables turn)
1740. [3:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You've managed to avoid conflict on your journey to the ruin, and by the time you arrive, it is around time for dinner.
1741. [3:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You do notice an increasing amount of ... Tracks, and activities around the area.
1742. [3:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are some trace of combat.
1743. [3:02 PM] Eon: Hmm. What with?
1744. [3:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Mostly of crossbow bolts, but also of some other things like blood trails adn the like.
1745. [3:02 PM] Faerie: Nonsense, alchemical experiments can't eat not like he's tried but there's no mouth
1746. [3:02 PM] Bot Fodder: Is there a strong scent of death, like the earlier Ghasts?
  1747. [3:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  1748. [3:02 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 20, Result: 20
1749. [3:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Owlbears, Elliot.
1750. [3:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: And... From a fluff of fur you found
1751. [3:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The Greenwood probably also had, well
1752. [3:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Wereboar trouble?
  1753. [3:03 PM] Eon: "... Peculiar."
1754. [3:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You found a fluff belonging to what must be a wereboar.
1755. [3:03 PM] Eon: (wereboard lycantrophy ahoy)
1756. [3:03 PM] Eon: (err, wereboar)
1757. [3:03 PM] Eon: (wereboards are likely less exciting)
1758. [3:03 PM] Bot Fodder: "... Are wereboars natural creatures?" Rowan asks.
1759. [3:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It seems to have fougth the Greenwooders.
1760. [3:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "No." Rionid answers.
1761. [3:03 PM] Mizuki: "Elliot?" - Asked Camellia, waiting for a report of what he found.
1762. [3:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I heard rumors, of alliance with werewolves, but I've never seen the..." Rionid adds.
  1763. [3:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Wait, wereBOAR? That's new."
1764. [3:04 PM] Faerie: ''What can you tell us about them?'' Actually, what could Laiofe tell us about them?
1765. [3:04 PM] Eon: "Owlbears, that's not too surprising, but yes, wereboars."
1766. [3:04 PM] Faerie: Pinging the Noosphere, Arcana?
1767. [3:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid can tell you fuck all.
1768. [3:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Arcana is fine, yes.
  1769. [3:05 PM] Faerie: roll 1d20+4
  1770. [3:05 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+4]: 6, Result: 10
1771. [3:05 PM] Eon: Oh, let me, let me
  1772. [3:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Uhhhhhh
1773. [3:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: were... creatures... transform?
1774. [3:05 PM] Eon: Wereboars, Arcana, is a go?
1775. [3:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They can shift between human, hybrid, and beast mode.
1776. [3:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yes, Elliot.
1777. [3:05 PM] Faerie: (Were boars are some sort of boar?! No way.)
1778. [3:05 PM] Eon: roll 1d20+7 expertise yo
  1779. [3:05 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+7]: 17, Result: 24
1780. [3:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are some wererat in Ahrimal's sewer, actually
1781. [3:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are actual citizens of Ahrimal, and manage the sewer system... or so they claim.
1782. [3:06 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: As for Elliot...
1783. [3:06 PM] Bot Fodder: "Is it normal for such things to attack a well-defended location like this?"
1784. [3:06 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Wereboars in the area are usually boorish, hunters who keep to themselves.
1785. [3:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Werewolves and wereboars are theoretically outlawed, treated as a disease that must be submit to alchemical cures, in Ahrimal.
1786. [3:07 PM] Faerie: Do they retain their intelligence?
1787. [3:07 PM] Eon: With what, copious amount of alchemical silver?
1788. [3:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They tend to live in the Verdant Forest as solitary creatures, or in a pack.
1789. [3:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are... Immune to phyiscal damage, beside from silvered weapons.
1790. [3:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: And their bite can transmit the disease.
1791. [3:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Path of Eternal Youth and the like has standing offer for live samples.
1792. [3:08 PM] Eon: (we have silver coins, at best, yeah?)
1793. [3:08 PM] Bot Fodder: "Can you tell whether there is anything else attacking here regularly?" Rowan asks the expert.
1794. [3:08 PM] Eon: (Think Reln has a magic sword)
1795. [3:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: To best cure the curse and disease, you understand.
1796. [3:08 PM] Mizuki: "It's strange that they decided to attack the Greenwood, taking into consideration their problems with Ahrimal too." - Pointed out the girl.
1797. [3:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid shakes his head. "I've been on patrol..."
1798. [3:08 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (someone electrolysise my swords please)
1799. [3:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He was found nearly 2 days away, after all.
1800. [3:08 PM] Faerie: Hey, Laiofe's silver-lined where his veins would be! But it's very unlikely smacking them with that would work.
1801. [3:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well, I don't know about the wereBOAR... But Greenwood Militia has alliance with werewolves."
1802. [3:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I think." Rionid says in uncertain terms.
1803. [3:09 PM] Eon: "So many factions.. How troublesome."
1804. [3:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The Ruins
  1805.
1806. A set of boulders lead to an opening that stretches into the darkness. From what the Denstead villagers said, this hole leads into a ruin from before the Fall. It has been there for as long as any villagers can remember, and a few decades ago, it was cleared out and picked clean by Ahrimal officials, according to some of the older villagers. That said, due to it being a natural shelter, wild animals and worse often take refuge or residence in the ruins, and the villagers keep away from it to avoid conflict.
1807. [3:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Now, though, the ruins is used as a base for the Greenwood Militia.
1808. [3:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are no guards on the outside; perhaps they didn't want to attract attention?
1809. [3:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Or perhaps the guards are invisible.
1810. [3:11 PM] Eon: Or maybe they were really small.
1811. [3:11 PM] Mizuki: (does anyone have a hand always free?)
  1812. [3:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Rionid.)
1813. [3:11 PM] Faerie: Mil mentioned regular animals taking shelter there, like wolves. But that was under a different climate.
1814. [3:11 PM] Faerie: (Me, always)
1815. [3:11 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (My hands are for my swords!)
1816. [3:11 PM] Bot Fodder: "These wereboars and owlbears... could they be directed to attack, somehow? Most animals would shy from a warzone."
1817. [3:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Maybe?" Rionid answers.
1818. [3:12 PM] Mizuki: "Rionid." - Called Camellia taking out a torch from her pack. - "Could you light up the way for us?"
1819. [3:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Sure." Rionid holds the torch.
1820. [3:12 PM] Eon: (>treating him like a hireling already)
  1821. [3:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Hireling.jpg)
  1822. [3:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (kek)
  1823. [3:12 PM] Runic: (lol)
1824. [3:12 PM] Mizuki: She lights it for him. - "Thank you."
  1825. [3:12 PM] Mizuki: (:smugpopo:)
1826. [3:13 PM] Faerie: Laiofe waves an aura of light around himself, colored red.
1827. [3:13 PM] Faerie: ''Is this intimidating enough?''
1828. [3:13 PM] Mizuki: She also hands him a dagger. - "Just in case."
1829. [3:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: With a torch as your light, you go down into the ruins. It's a bit strange in the tunnels - it's from a civilization from before your time, of the time when the islands were in the sky, before the shires fell.
1830. [3:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Rionid takes the dagger,a bit more hesitant about that.
1831. [3:13 PM] Faerie: (Beacon, bright light in 20, dim light past 20 more)
1832. [3:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There is a faint stench of something - not necessarily unlike the ghasts, but with a lot more ... depth? to it
  1833. [3:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Beacon = torchlight)
  1834. [3:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :ok_hand: )
1835. [3:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The walls are lined with ancient structures, of writing in Elvish.
1836. [3:14 PM] Eon: Elliot blinks as the tin can suddenly lights up, and readjusts his glasses. Did the alchemists in Xanadu add that in? Why?
1837. [3:14 PM] Faerie: (It's pretty much just a longer self-centered Light I got it because it looks cool)
1838. [3:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The writing is something non-sensical, however - it seems to be recording of something for arcane purposes.
1839. [3:15 PM] Eon: Alchemists, he tells you.
1840. [3:15 PM] Mizuki: (why not, Eon :nicosmug:)
1841. [3:15 PM] Eon: (does anyone wanna translate and let me see if I can gleam anything from it?)
1842. [3:15 PM] Eon: (with guidance meme, ofc :smugpopo: )
1843. [3:15 PM] Faerie: (It's actually mysticman magic, hue)
1844. [3:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The tunnel descends in a straight path - who will lead the party?
  1845. [3:16 PM] Mizuki: (I want to)
1846. [3:16 PM] Bot Fodder: "These ruins are proving to be quite popular..." Rowan mutters. It's the Elvish alphabet, certainly... but perhaps the tongue is ancient. "I can't read it."
1847. [3:16 PM] Faerie: Well, if anything could be gleamed from the writings to begin with.
1848. [3:16 PM] Faerie: But ssssure.
1849. [3:16 PM] Mizuki: "Rionid, come over here." - Called the girl pointing at the writtings.
1850. [3:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (wew, getting tired)
  1851. [3:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Sup?"
1852. [3:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid moves closer.
1853. [3:16 PM] Mizuki: Camellia attempts to read some of the writtings.
1854. [3:17 PM] Faerie: Even if the dialect is ancient, at least someone should be able to understand it
  1855.
1856. [3:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid shakes his head. "That's Elvish, I don't really know it well. I know a bit about it, but..."
1857. [3:17 PM] Bot Fodder: (MYSTICS)
1858. [3:17 PM] Eon: If post translating doesn't work, Elliot with just Help.
1859. [3:17 PM] Eon: otherwise, Help and Guidance please :smugpopo:
1860. [3:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's not ancient so much as to be arcane inscriptions.
1861. [3:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But Elliot, go
  1862. [3:17 PM] Eon: roll 1d20+7
  1863. [3:17 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+7]: 10, Result: 17
1864. [3:17 PM] Mizuki: "I used to study it back home." - She said smiling.
1865. [3:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Advantage, please.
  1866. [3:17 PM] Eon: roll 1d20+7
  1867. [3:17 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+7]: 13, Result: 20
1868. [3:17 PM] Mizuki: (is it totally incomprehensible?)
1869. [3:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Good enough.
1870. [3:18 PM] Bot Fodder: (I feel like a tool for having my character learn five languages :firepopo: )
1871. [3:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Elliot. This is an ancient ruin of a floating island.
1872. [3:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: This part used to be part of the central ... engine-like chamber.
1873. [3:18 PM] Eon: "My word." This forest has no shortage of surprises.
1874. [3:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The magical inscriptions here contains some sort of something, which powers the island, and does something. It's repeating prayers and protective ward.
1875. [3:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are largely defunc, now, and confer nothing magical.
1876. [3:19 PM] Eon: A interesting tidbit of history, at the least. He passes it along.
1877. [3:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: However, it being in Elven does note that this was once part of the elven land.
1878. [3:19 PM] Eon: "It might be connected to the portal down here, anyhow."
1879. [3:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Perhaps the Greenwood Militia has a point. Maybe this area did belong to the elves.
1880. [3:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: make a SAN rol ahem
1881. [3:20 PM] Mizuki: "It's quite exciting, isn't it? To be in such an ancient place." - Commented Camellia with a smile, taking out her gauntlet and touching the inscriptions.
1882. [3:20 PM] Runic: "Hmm, intresting. Shame there's not much we can make use of it, eh."
1883. [3:20 PM] Faerie: ''Maybe one of you people's ancestors remembers what life was like up high, before the fall? I'm beaten, here.''
1884. [3:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: While studying, as a bonus, you noticed something.
1885. [3:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: A strange pressure plate on the path, newly installed.
1886. [3:20 PM] Mizuki: (Camellia noticed it?)
1887. [3:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You only noticed it because the inscription on it does not belong with the other inscriptions.
1888. [3:21 PM] Eon: (dude, don't proc a glyph of warding)
1889. [3:21 PM] Bot Fodder: "Ahrimal must have known about this place for some time. I would've expected it to be stripped down to-- Hm?"
1890. [3:21 PM] Runic: "If only Laiofe... my familiy have no clue what happened. Guess it was either too long ago, or a secret kept pretty tight"
1891. [3:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: the pressure plate look new, in fact, and you would've missed it if you weren't paying attention to the inscriptions or the road.
1892. [3:22 PM] Mizuki: "Take a look at this." - Whispered the girl, pointing at the pressure plate. - "It's different than the rest."
1893. [3:22 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Rule No.1 of Adventures is to press anything that can be pressed)
1894. [3:22 PM] Mizuki: She carefully presses it.
  1895. [3:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
1896. [3:22 PM] Eon: "Any idea what is- my lady!"
1897. [3:22 PM] Mizuki: (FUCK THE POLICE)
1898. [3:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Dexterity saving throw.
  1899. [3:22 PM] Mizuki: roll 1d20
  1900. [3:22 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 6, Result: 6
1901. [3:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The pressure plate clicks,
1902. [3:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: and explodes.
1903. [3:22 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan takes note of the design and material. She looks for anything else similarly Oh my gods what
  1904. [3:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 3d6
  1905. [3:22 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [3d6]: 3,5,6, Result: 14
  1906. [3:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 14 thunder damage.
1907. [3:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: A loud boom echoes down the chamber.
1908. [3:23 PM] Mizuki: (the popo has been sadded.)
1909. [3:23 PM] Eon: "..." Elliot blinks. Did she really..
1910. [3:23 PM] Eon: She did.
1911. [3:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I mean, uh... Yeahhhh.)
  1912. [3:23 PM] Faerie: ''What.''
1913. [3:23 PM] Runic: "Well... guess you shouldn't have pressed it then" Sully deadpans
  1914. [3:23 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "Ojou-sama, are you alright?!"(edited)
1915. [3:23 PM] Eon: Rushing over to her side, well, she would be alright with some Goodberries, at least.
1916. [3:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You have found and.. disarmed...? a mine trap laid by the Greenwood Militia.
1917. [3:24 PM] Eon: "... I guess we announced our presence loud and clear." Elliot coughs.
1918. [3:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: And the entire ruin now know of you presence.
1919. [3:24 PM] Faerie: ''Uh. Don't do that.'' Laiofe switches out his focus to Crown of Rage's. It's sort of like having two cores 'minds' that can focus on more than one thing at once. He anticipates trouble.
1920. [3:24 PM] Mizuki: Camellia coughts, her hair all messed up from the explosion, a bit of blood here and there. - "That was stupid of me..." - She admitted.
1921. [3:24 PM] Bot Fodder: "Cam!" The three retainers are all crowding their charge.
1922. [3:24 PM] Runic: Sully goes on goodberry duty, shoving some in her mouth to heal some of hte damage(edited)
1923. [3:24 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (Triggering a trap is the best way to disarm a trap. 11/10 would do it again)
1924. [3:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid blinks, rushing to aid. "... This is new."
1925. [3:25 PM] Eon: "When was the last time you've been here, anyway? Lots of new things."
1926. [3:25 PM] Bot Fodder: (MFW Kogasa literally lead Mizu into that by the hand :smugpopo:)
1927. [3:25 PM] Runic: "Ditto" Sully responds, shoving goodberries in Camellia's mouth
1928. [3:25 PM] Mizuki: "I did not expect a trap on a wall..."
1929. [3:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Last I was in the ruin? That would be two weeks ago."
  1930. [3:25 PM] Mizuki: (14 goodberries? :sadpopo:)
1931. [3:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: While you are performing treatments, you hear ... howling.
1932. [3:25 PM] Runic: (rip 14 goodberries. Eaten by oujo-sama)
1933. [3:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: And footsteps from something coming up the tunnel.
1934. [3:25 PM] Eon: Elliot coughs. He shalln't comment on how bad of an idea it was to poke pressure plates in enemy territory.
1935. [3:25 PM] Faerie: Snicker. There they had their ruler. You know, back in his civilized home, royalty had been outlawed aged ago for a reason! Erm.
  1936. [3:26 PM] Mizuki: "... I'm sorry." - Said the ojou embarrassed.
1937. [3:26 PM] Eon: Ready Ray of Frost.
1938. [3:26 PM] Faerie: (He didn't, to be honest. Who the fuck would do that?!)
1939. [3:26 PM] Mizuki: (and so is the player)
1940. [3:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Well, just be careful."
1941. [3:26 PM] Eon: at anything with clearly hostile intent.
1942. [3:26 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan curses. Any nooks to hide in along the wall?
1943. [3:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid comments, turning to the noise. "That doesn't sound too human-like."
1944. [3:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are some noods and crannies, but only good enough for a personn at a time.
1945. [3:27 PM] Mizuki: (wait, any bifurcations? Any alternative passages?)
1946. [3:27 PM] Bot Fodder: "Fight here, or further in?" Rowan asks rapidly, keeping her words brief.
1947. [3:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Not yet, Camellia.
1948. [3:27 PM] Faerie: Laiofe steps forth, in-between the noises and the rest. He should be visible enough.
1949. [3:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's been a straight path down thus far, for about 300 ft at the moment you pressured the plate.
1950. [3:27 PM] Mizuki: (did the explosion break something?)
1951. [3:28 PM] Mizuki: (other than Camellia)
1952. [3:28 PM] Faerie: ''Good question'', but he suspects they don't get to choose. Were the sounds near?
1953. [3:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Good question. The tunnel rumbled a bit, but nothing fell apart.
1954. [3:28 PM] Bot Fodder: (Yes, it broke Camellia's cherry.)(edited)
1955. [3:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The sound's closing in fast.
  1956. [3:28 PM] Runic: (lewd)
1957. [3:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Soon, you spot two pairs of hungry eyes.
1958. [3:28 PM] Faerie: Hmm. Alright.
1959. [3:28 PM] Mizuki: Camellia unsheates her blade, her hands a bit shaky from the surprise... She isn't used to that.
1960. [3:28 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan hides while she has the chance.
1961. [3:29 PM] Runic: (Well seems like we're fighting her regardless unless we run. I'm fine with fighting at a narrow area as long there's not magic shenanigans from the enemy)
1962. [3:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yellow, hungry, fixed on two humanoids with hunched figure and extended arms ... and jaws. They seems wolf-like in appearance, and is covered in fur.
1963. [3:29 PM] Faerie: How high up is the ceiling?
1964. [3:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The tunnel is 20ft ride, and the ceiling is just as tall.
1965. [3:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's a nice wide cubic tunnel.
1966. [3:30 PM] Eon: How hostile do they look?
1967. [3:30 PM] Runic: Sully moves up towards the front along with some of the other frontliners
1968. [3:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They seem fairly hostile?
1969. [3:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They howl aggressively, and their eyes hints at an unnatural hunger.
1970. [3:30 PM] Faerie: ''Werewolves, huh?''
1971. [3:30 PM] Eon: Good enough. Staying further back.
1972. "It is said by some that this chill comes from Stygia itself."
1973. Ready Ray of Frost a go?
1974. [3:30 PM] Mizuki: So does, Camellia, time to make it up for her stupidity! :sadpopo:
1975. [3:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sure, Elliot.
  1976. [3:30 PM] Eon: roll 1d20+5 pew

1985. [3:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewolf howls in pain, shaking a bit like a hound.
  1986. [3:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Initiative.

2008. [3:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Elliot, your turn first.
2009. [3:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That said, you've already engaged; the frost ray was effective.
2010. [3:34 PM] Faerie: Did the any part of the ceiling look fragile?
  2011. [3:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ...
2012. [3:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are plated in stone.
2013. [3:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You figure you can cause rock to fall.
  2014. [3:34 PM] Eon: like.. Shatter-able?
  2015. [3:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yes, shatter-able.
2016. [3:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rock fall, and you know.
  2017. [3:35 PM] Eon: Hmmmmmm.
2018. [3:35 PM] Eon: Is that really a thing? Hmm. It would block our entrance, anyway.
2019. [3:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Ok, fading really fast, this is going to be combat and end, wew)(edited)
2020. [3:35 PM] Faerie: Mhmm. Or punchable, or whatever you have. But, uhh, that would be dangerous unless everyone coordinated to fall back to the other direction.
  2021. [3:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Well
2022. [3:36 PM] Eon: "... I can't really find humor in the situation, but perhaps you may?" Elliot tries to keep the thought of his lady doing somehing so silly out of his mind and points at the werewolf that wasn't injured. Tasha's.
  2023. [3:36 PM] Faerie: (>werewolves
  2024. It's gonna take 3 hours, Koga)
2025. [3:36 PM] Eon: DC 13 Wis, yadda yadda.

2031. [3:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewolf barks.
2032. [3:36 PM] Eon: lets see. Shillelagh is magical, yeah?
  2033. [3:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yeah.
2034. [3:36 PM] Eon: Bardic to Sully.
2035. [3:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewofl found your joke to be unfunny.
  2036. [3:36 PM] Eon: Pass.
  2037. [3:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewolf ...
2038. [3:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: well, they both charge and dash toward you,
2039. [3:37 PM] Mizuki: (immune to steel, right?)
  2040. [3:37 PM] Eon: (non-magical)
2041. [3:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But the one struck by ray of frost is 20ft away instead of right up on your face.
2042. [3:37 PM] Eon: (you basically need to cast spells or go home)
2043. [3:37 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: (What can i even do with my swords orz)
  2044. [3:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa:
  2045.
2046. [3:37 PM] Eon: (one of them is magical!)
2047. [3:37 PM] Bot Fodder: (Wat, it's full immunity, not resistance?)
2048. [3:37 PM] Faerie: (Use the magical one)
2049. [3:38 PM] Faerie: (Usually for werecreatures, yeah)
2050. [3:38 PM] Bot Fodder: (Dammit)
  2051. [3:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid...
  2052. [3:38 PM] Eon: (mhm.)

2164. [3:50 PM] Runic: (max roll is good roll)
2165. [3:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It became a lot more reasonable as you hammered its mind.

2167. [3:51 PM] Eon: "Greetings?" Were they influenced?
2168. [3:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "S-sorry, forgive me, I surrender!" The werewolf begs.

  2173. [3:51 PM] Runic: "Uhhh"
  2174. [3:51 PM] Eon: "... Huh."
2175. [3:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "...." The werewolf looks a bit sheepish.

  2179. [3:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... I, uh."
2180. [3:51 PM] Bot Fodder: "....." Rowan peeks out with a thoroughly flat expression.
2181. [3:52 PM] Eon: Did they.. get high on mushrooms?
2182. [3:52 PM] Faerie: ''Is there something... wrong?''
2183. [3:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Rionid looks strangely at the werewolves.
2184. [3:52 PM] Eon: or something?
2185. [3:52 PM] Runic: "What you do Loi? They were normal a second ago."
2186. [3:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "N, no, I was just talking with some of your friends, and heard the noise. I got excited... S-sorry."
2187. [3:52 PM] Faerie: Frankly, he had always thought it was standard wolf fare to eat people; never took them for talkers.
2188. [3:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Now, if you will excuse us,we';ll just... be on our way."
2189. [3:52 PM] Eon: "If you define normal as.. that."
2190. [3:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewolf says, slinking back a little.
  2191. [3:52 PM] Eon: "Friends?"
2192. [3:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Yeah. You guys are with the greenies, right?"
2193. [3:53 PM] Faerie: ''Right. Don't let that happen again.''
2194. [3:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "We meant no harm, really - sorry, sorry. Hey, oi, let's get outta here."
2195. [3:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewolf mutters something about iron man making head go owie.
  2196. [3:53 PM] Eon: "..." Elliot blinks.
  2197. [3:54 PM] Mizuki: "..." - Camellia nods, confused.
2198. [3:54 PM] Faerie: He thrusts words into its mind this time. |Or Rionid here's gonna tell on you, aight?|

2200. [3:54 PM] Hiroyuki Sora: "huh..."

2207. [3:54 PM] Bot Fodder: ( You might consider :| , it works well for me.)
  2208. [3:55 PM] Mizuki: ()
2209. [3:55 PM] Eon: "What.. was all that about?"
2210. [3:55 PM] Bot Fodder: Rowan emerges once they're gone. "So. That was something."
2211. [3:55 PM] Faerie: Laiofe turns, still shining brightly as if to make the scene even more ridiculous. He offers a confused shake of the head.
2212. [3:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The werewolves, realizing that you are actually very capable of hurting them, as you've demonstated, beat a hasty retreat.
2213. [3:55 PM] Runic: (wait were out of extra exp Koga, you hack!)
  2214. [3:55 PM] Runic: (jk)
2215. [3:55 PM] Faerie: ''That happened.''
2216. [3:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You have a sneaking suspection that they knew you weren't with the militia.
2217. [3:55 PM] Eon: "What exactly was going down there, then?"
2218. [3:56 PM] Eon: Elliot briefly considers dropping Shatter on the ceiling after people clear out.
2219. [3:56 PM] Faerie: (''ALRIGHT THAT'S IT EVERYONE THANKS FOR COMING SEE YOU NEXT WEEK FOR GAME'' etc)
2220. [3:56 PM] Mizuki: Camellia adjusts her messed up hair and sighs. What was she thinking? At least everything ended up alright.
2221. [3:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: As the werewolves slink away, dejected and defeated, the tunnel become quiet.
2222. [3:56 PM] Runic: Sully shrugs, "So this is what they meant with different levels of skill and discipline the militia has"(edited)
