[02:48] Amalia glances over towards Sethon and smiles towards him. "Good timing, Sethon. Your assistance is required." She says towards him. "Please, stay a moment. Listen." She says.

Then she turns back towards Auliene. "And you.. You misunderstand me. I was not less inclined because of what Parsley said. I was less inclined because of what you admitted."

"Working for the demons, and having them work for you are two entirely separate matters. That says a great deal towards your character as of now. A character that I do not believe should utilize magic with such open potential for abuse." She says towards Auliene. "The fact that you are a child is the only reason why I've deliberated so long upon the matter already."

"It is not all you have either, you have a Montclaire boy willing to vouch for you. You have everyone else calling for rehabilitation." She says towards her before she glances towards Sethon for a moment longer before turning to view Auliene once more.

"Based upon what you've done already, having only just learned the magic. Why should you be allowed to keep it?"

[02:53] Halted is his venture through Myllenoris. It was not oft he stumbled into drama within these peaceful confines. It was typically Nysea that saw him holding his breath, awaiting the next utterance of stupidity from betwixt the lips of Alexander.

It halts his advance, summarily. Kofe receives a terribly, terribly fleeting glance.

There's a nod, too. A smile, even.

"'Helping' Occultists is folly, really.

We condemn Witches. We venture to destroy Demons. Occultism is a product of those very two things. It cannot be helped. It cannot be rehabilitated. By nature, the magic cannot be conjured without the thought and emotion that drive each of them to madness.

Cleansing accompanied by rehabilitation is the safest, and most proven method to ensure they are stripped of their taint and allowed to live a life uninhibited."

A summary interjection and commentary on the topic, muscular arms folded to his chest. There's an eye to all present.

And that's where you'll come in to save her.

His words had been said months prior to what was happening. And his prediction was... not perfectly accurate, but uncanny enough for him to recognize the fact it existed on itself. A hand came up on Rella's back, pushing her towards Sethon and ushering forth a few words to cut through the argument.

"Romani claimed the same. That there was no solution. That there was no way of helping others. Even as I helped Mihalis, people doubted it. Of course... he grew more calm. There was less of an example of such. Maybe he'd retired or.. anything else. Whatever you'll say.

But-."

At this point the Drakanite probably knew why he had pushed her before the crowd.

"If you still believe the only solution is to destroy, that there's no cure, that there's no... solution. Then tell it to this woman. Tell the person who's found a way to carry on my work with her own two hands how you feel."

A pause.

A smile.

"Show them, Rella."

[02:58] She was being asked to make her case on why she wanted to keep her occult magic? How was she supposed to spin that? Her way of learning and using the dark were inherently selfish. While what Renly said was entirely out of left field, he was right. She had been doing this for power.

"It is all I have. What all these people believe, it doesn't mean anything. I didn't even meet Anthonio before today. I don't know anybody here! Before this- and when all of this commotion goes away, I'll still be alone." she insisted. Auliene did still believe it was all that she had. Strip that from her, and she'd have no identity, no purpose. Nothing to live for.

"I'm not strong if I don't have it. It's the only thing that I'm good at. I don't, have any other talents! I'm not very bright. But, it's fun using this. You can't take it away from me. I worked, so hard on it! It's not fair!" she exclaimed, basically throwing a tantrum at this point. She was twelve.

"I want to keep it, no matter what. I don't care if I gotta go to church, or talk to that guy, or.. whatever! I'll still do it!"

[03:02] Rella was fully content to remain on the sidelines, only giving an uneasy stare towards whoever was speaking at the present moment - except, of course, Sethon.

Too uneasy to look towards Sethon.

And yet, Kofe is intent to push her into the crowd, against her will.

Does she really have to do this? She really has to do this.

She takes in a single deep breath, and extends a hand off to the side. Electricity forms around it - shifting with red and black, telltale visual signs of the Occult...

But no others.

It didn't sap at the air, or cause the grass to rot and wither. Its influence wasn't so much reduced or controlled as erased entirely.

"Is this... what you wanted me to show them, Kofe?"

[03:04] "Witches are the product of occultism, not the other way around. Yet occultism has been allowed in here for as long as I can remember, just as holy has. It is a part of the balance and was allowed because of that. Would you work to strip that away?"

She'd give a stare at Sethon.

Balance is what they strove for, yet here they were trying to strip someone of their magic. Simply because of mistakes that they made, she was a child, they made mistakes. Everyone did, yet condemning a child to a punishment that wasn't fitting, when there were options, was cruel.

"People have given you an example of the reason they can keep their magic Amy. She is a child, shaped and molded by the world around her, easily prone to mistakes. Yet here you are calling for her to be stripped of something that is a part of her."

"You are my friend Amy, but I must disagree with you on this. Condemning a child without even giving them a chance, iswrong. You may have the opinion that they are unfit, but how can you truly deem that when they are not given the chance to prove themselves to be able to act properly with it?"

[03:05] Rella Caller exclaims, "I'm working on ironing out the best explanation for this!"
[03:33] "Occultism is allowed in Myllenoris, but only when it is kept in check. When it is counter-balanced with it's opposite." She says towards Emi, then lifts a hand to gesture towards Auliene. "Do you know of someone willing to provide that balance for her?"

"What Kofe offers is not balance."

Amalia shakes her head slightly before turning to look towards Rella. "Rella may no longer be influenced by it's madness, but she is still an occultist without a holy magi."

Afterwards, she turns to look towards Emi again to speak towards her. "This is Aschea's way, and it is the what I will be upholding. Her being a child is only what caused me to deliberate this long on whether or not she should be given the chance to mend her ways, or just removing her occultism outright." She says, standing up from the stone steps to look towards Auliene afterwards.

"But, I do appreciate your honesty, Auliene. But your reason for wanting to keep it, the magic that is inherited by the Demons, is based around fun." She says her tone becoming heavy as she seems to become resolved.

"You will not be keeping your magic."

"Afterwards, you will be released into Kofe's care, or whomever wishes to take you in and ensure you do not relapse. If nobody wishes to do so, then I will." She says towards Auliene, blue irises peering into towards her with a heavy heart.

The Demons forged by Amalia Elaide, however, are said to have brought with them modern Occultism. So yes, did I not hold respect for the Faith of Aschea and the people of Myllenoris, I would strip it away without hesitation"

A gesture to Auliene who was presumably the unfortunate 'victim' in all of this.

"Seek proper edification before you engage in such consequential discourse."

And thus, his steely gaze swings from Emi to Rella proper. It draws a furrowing of brows, but it ultimately proved naught. Roving hues rise to Kofe directly, shoulders bouncing dismissively.

"Rendering the worldly effects of Occultism, the ones that plague the earth, obsolete, is a very good first step. But Occultism is a magic of emotion; the concern is not what it does to Esshar so much as what it does to the mind, and frankly, a little lightshow does naught to prove Rella won't be gripped by madness five, or seven, or ten years down the line.

It is a good experiment, and it is one I've never been adverse to, but until the lasting, long term effects are properly studied reliance upon it is a farce at best.

Proper cleansing and rehabilitation is quick and humane, and will ensure the magic isn't again manifested. They would have to go to great lengths to see it so."

Alabaster digits fork through a mane of ivory, the hardened features of warrior ultimately not straying from their canvas of stoicism. A final address to Emi, though he wasn't sure indulging in roundabout debate was worthwhile.

"Cleansing is not condemning. Do not demonize an ultimately merciful process. Is Kofe's method superior? Certainly. Should it be relied upon until its effects have stood the test of time? Certainly not.

Operation of Occultism without one of these two methods being favoured should not be allowed to occur. It will drive them to madness. It's the very nature of the magic. No use deluding yourself into believing otherwise."

[03:40] Sethon says, "Interesting. Mayhaps when you have a grasp on the reality of Occultism - of this magic - you can offer forth credible opinion. "
[03:40] Emi Kriemhild says, "I see little harm in one wielding the magic, if tehre is a method that outright removes the influences it has."
[03:40] Renly says, "They are not meant to wield it. Even I am not meant to wield my magic, but my magic does not warp my mind and give me -power- based on destructive thoughts and the desire to -harm- people."
[03:41] Johnathan Jones says, "Not me, but we have registered occultists that still to this day haven't caused issued. "
[03:41] Emi Kriemhild says, "Yes, your magic warps your mind and gives you more of a drive to help and aid people."
[03:45] Auliene was moments away from losing it all. The verdict was made by the one who held the remote to her restraint. That was final. She didn't have much left to cling to, other than the fact that.. well, she had been lying the entire time.

Oh, this was going to take a while.

"Fine! I, was working with them. They took me in! They were my family. I.. didn't control anyone. I'm not a mastermind." she admitted. If this was to be believed, the foundation of what Amalia believed to be Auliene's personality was flimsy. At the very least, the worst she could be pinned for was being a pathological liar.

"I didn't have a home, or an identity. Or.. a purpose." she warbled, sounding on the verge of tears. For all of the yelling she had done today, this was the only time that she actually seemed like she was going to break down crying.

"They, made me strong! I was happy there!" She sniffed. "I hate it here.I hate Esshar! No one understands me. They understood me." she cried out, tears finally beginning to fall from her eyes. So, the truth came out. Or, was it the truth? Her testimony had been through so many lies, it was hard to tell.

"I don't wanna-.. betray, them.. I don't, wanna betray, my, familyyyy.." Sniff. "They, know everything, and.. you guys, know nothiiing.." she whimpered, dragging her sleeves against her eyes and bawling.

"Waaahhhh…"

[03:51] Johnathan Jones asks, "Have you?"
[03:51] "Renly is a holy magi, right? Who is his counter balance, if he does not have one, then why not they both be a counter to each other?"

She knew not of if Renly had someone who was a counterpart to him, but if he did not? Then they had someone here already. Amy's argument would be all but null and void. Her rather backwards way of thinking in her eyes. If balance were to be achieved, she didn't see it being the way Amy wanted.

"That would solve many issues right here and now, if Renly served as their counterbalance if he does not have one. I do not know many holy magi myself, their numbers are few, heavily outnumbered by the occultists. that roam today."

"The only other holy magi I knew is no longer with us. So if Renly is not a viable candidate, then I have nobody."

That was her opinion on it. But that did make an idea pop inter her head, one that might benefit this idea of balance in the long run, instead of forcibly removing ones magic for the sake of a balance that could be easier achieved without harming people.

She would talk to Finley about that though. She felt that such was an easier avenue to getting things done, than speaking to a currently highly irrational group of people.

[03:57] Amalia turns to look towards Emi after having a whispered conversation with Kofe. "Emi. Capture the man next to you. Kofe claims that he is a demon sympathizer, and has allowed a demon to attack his daughter. While also having been seen with demons multiple times. Bay having fought him a few times as well."

Clearly, she believes Kofe.

And then Auliene spoke up, and she fell silent again. She listened as attentively as ever. Even though the Teraphim Lady was condemning this child, she did so regretfully. She wanted to give the girl the chance to say something that would change her mind, anything at all.

Only except the girl admits even more, that which made it all the more worse.

How could she take a gentle hand to a girl who kept raising the bar?

Myllenoris' stance on Occultists were simple. If they were a loose cannon. They should be written off as a lost cause. If they were not, then they should be actively seeking their balancing force.

This girl.

Was a loose cannon.

"Sethon. Please cleanse her." She says heavily, her heart wrenching ever so slightly at the words.

[03:57] The young man folded his arms, a half finished election speech rolled up in his right hand. He would have to add in some extra things about this current event.

"I'm just gonna come out and say it, if you're going to dish out punishment, you need to take responsibility afterwards. Otherwise all you're doing is creating a generation that will loath your choices and wind up coming back and turning that punishment on it's head." He slaps his hands with the roll to make a clear statement.

"Explain your punishments," slap "before dishing them out," slap "Then take responsibility," slap "for teaching them better," slap "Or you create worse people for it." The slapping ends, thank the gods.

"If you were a parent, you'd know this. Every child's fucking precious, so teach them the right way to do shit or don't mess with someone else's kid. If the parents are shit, take them from the parents to show them how a real family acts and show some damned kindness." He had a soft spot for compassionate child rearing.

[04:09] The order from Amy was a bit out of left field, as she had heard nothing of any of the conversation. But she would turn to the man, giving a bit of a suspicious look towards him. She didn't disagree with parts of his statement but, people who worked with Demons were a no go.

"While I agree with some of your sentiments, I have been given my orders so, I will carry them out."

She would draw the bow off her back, pulling the string back with her metal right arm and priming it with an arrow of fire. It was clear that he wasn't getting out of this without a fight at the very least. She knew not of his strengths or anything of the sort, but she was damn going to try and fulfill her orders.

"So, you have two choices, willingly come, or I will use force to try and bring you in. Your choice."

Her orders to the man next to her were clear.

Auliene breathed in deeply, snot audibly trailing up her nose. Tears were wiped from her face once more. She had made her confession in front of all of these people. It was the truth. Her truth. And, she was going to lose everything for it. Her identity, her reason for living.

"I wont let you, take away, everything I've earned!!"

From within her shirt, a weapon was revealed. A gun which Auliene had concealed, and which Eurydice hadn't cared to check for. It wasn't as powerful as her other weapon, but it would grant her more of a fighting chance- oh, who am I kidding?

She didn't have a fighting chance. Her plan was to go out, guns blazing.

The holder of her remote wasn't present. She'd have this one chance to kick and scream and fight like hell. All of her cards revealed, with everything to lose. Her mana emergedin the form of blood, a viscous crimson aura encasing her body and flowing upward.

"I'm.. going home. I'm going home! I'M. GOING. HOME!!"

She had gone completely apeshit at this point. The true nature of someone who was afflicted with occult madness, and couldn't hide it anymore. There was this crazed look in her eyes, as her eyes surveyed the surrounding crowd for who she'd have to gun down in order to break free.

[04:15] Kofe pushed himself off the wall at this point. While the different opinions being thrown left and right were... harsh and controversial all the same, the man knew how to best deal with this.

He watched. Arms crossed over his chest and without a bit of remorse in his mind. He had warned the child back then, hadn't he? He told her that if she wished for help he would give it, and that he would not force it upon her.

At this point the line had been crossed. She descended upon insanity before all, and not only Kofe in the midst of a treatment. Auliene had locked herself into her metaphorical mind prison on her own.

A shame, really.

"Sounds like you have your facts twisted. Let me lay the tables straight for you, pure and simple.

I don't sympathize with demons. I demonize torture in all it's forms, no matter who. Do you go around torturing animals? No. Do you torture prisoners of war for pleasure? No. I saw the pleasure in that woman's eyes when she Healed the demon just to attack it again. That's the sign of a twisted heart." He tucks his paper roll away into his jacket.

"I've been seen with a demon all of one time, the demon in question was named Haleasa, who actively protected his daughter. I don't know where he's getting that I somehow 'allowed' demons to attack his daughter. I've done everything in my power to fight demons, and it lost me an arm to one named Szora." He sneers in sheer indignation at the thought of bay

"I have only been assailed by Bay a SINGLE time, at the bridge where he stole my revolver and tried to pass it off as justified because I have one simple fact that none of you seem to follow. Telling a demon to get 'stronger' so you can 'have a little more fun' with a stronger fight is the exact same as allowing harm on the next person it attacks" He then turns to Emi, holding out his right hand, peacefully.

"I understand it's your duty, and I will come peacefully. Unless you desire me to not do so, in which I will spar you for fun before coming with."

[04:17] Renly seems to grow tired..

Parts of him wanted to head into the temple and collapse, and fall asleep, but something told him to stay back...

..For the moment when she decides to try and fight.

"Very well," he declared, reaching backward for the Skyfall Wire, and drawing it forth.

His hand comes back on the drawstring, and an arrow-- made of crystal, and pure light, forms between the handle and his fingers.

"The cleansing begins.. now."

His light was overbearing; like a flood, coming to banish her occultism. It comes to heal the land around them where he can afford to, and to minimize her damage as it flies at others.

His eyes began to glow, alike the Teraphim when they channeled the spirits..

Though, here, he channeled his own spirit, thriving through himself with holy magic.

"I can hear the whispers of your spirit, and they scream for help. They scream for redemption."

His arrow flies forward, landing on the ground directly before Auliene and exploding into a blast of holy magic.

"Face redemption. Let your darkness be drowned by the light!" He shouted.

[04:22] You stole Auliene's Master Staff.
[04:27] It is light against the dark, once more.. Though, this time, there was a clear difference; his light outweighed her darkness, even if it was only slight. Where she casts forth waves of the occult, he fires a rain of holy arrows meant to banish and quell the corruption present..

"I am redemption. I am your balance," he declared, light shrouding his form..

Though he didn't know how to cleanse her, he would certainly try. A wall of crystal surrounds his entire form, staving off her assault of blood and darkness before she ultimately fired forward..

He was exhausted, and the fight itself wasn't easily. So..

Renly would impart everything that he had, in this moment, to subdue her. A hand comes to her forehead and light practically teems from his eyes.

"Your time as an occultist is done. You will find power in other ways. Other ways to have fun," He began, knowing very well that she was a child.. "..other ways to make friends with people that aren't demons.

Surrender to the Light."

It was like a blast of fire was shot directly into every circuit she had, as the exorcist fired his holy magic into every circuit within her body to weaken the ebbing darkness..

… If only to make the resulting cleansing easier. Her gun is tossed behind him to Amalia, with the safety flicked on.

[04:43] Auliene pushed back against Renly's blinding light with her fledging occult. Driven by indignation and her memories of home, she recklessly threw herself into her opponent. She endured his onslaught as long as she could, desperately flinging spells of occult and blood. This magic made her who she was. It was all that she was good at..

So, why was it that someone could be so much stronger than her? What made them deserve power any more than she did? The light burned. Her darkness was illuminated, devoured in each clash. Her heart ached. It hurt. She needed to scream.

"You know nothing!!" she shouted defiantly. Renly had to fight against someone who had everything to lose. While he was well equipped to do so, Auliene still put up a fight. "Leave me alone! I didn't ask for this!!" She exhausted everything, from her mana to her voice.

Renly gave his ultimatum. But, if there was one thing he had to know about Auliene by now, it was that she never surrendered. She took the blow standing, staring directly into the sun and holding on tight to the handle of her rifle.

The light overwhelmed the spectrum, flooding all of her vision with 255, 255, 255. #FFFFFF. Just, an unreasonable amount of brightness that coursed through her tainted mana circuits, as she felt herself burn from the inside out.

She screamed in agony. It hurt worse than even the anti-magic restraint. The girl crumpled onto her back. Her eyes were still open, mind you. But, they were rolled to the back of her head. White.

KO'd.
