- >"What do you mean we're not allowed?!" Sibella yells to the man behind the desk
- >"It means, we aren't looking to have you or your dog in the race." he replies plainly
- >"I'm a werewolf! Get it through your thick skull! A werewolf! Not a dog!" Winnie shouts angrily, banging her fist on the table for emphasis
- >"Why can't we be in the race?" Sibella asks
- >"First off, neither of you passed the 'silly' tests. Or in layman's terms, you're not wacky enough. The best either of you got are puns about yourselves." the man answers
- >"Oh, please! Plenty of people tell me they go batty for my puns." Sibella says
- >"That's just what I mean! And second off: we already have a racer, no, TWO racers that are just like what you got going." the man says
- >"And who might THEY be?" Winnie asks
- >"The Gruesome Twosome, one already a purple vampire like yourself AND with a vehicle much like what you have parked out front." he says, pointing out the window to their car
- >"Told you you should've let me decorate it." Winnie mutters
- >"And the other one?" Sibella asks
- >"Dick Dastardly and his dog, Muttley." the man answers
- >"How are they similar to us at all?!" Sibella shouts
- >"He's dressed entirely in purple and has a dog co-driver." the man replies
- >"I'M NOT A DOG!" Winnie yells
- >"Right, right. Try applying next year, maybe one of two wont make an appearance and we'll consider letting you two gals in."
- >"You know what, no, forget racing! We're doing something cooler, like... superheroes! Yeah, forget this! Come on Winnie, let's go see if the Super Friends will let us in. I think our old Coach instructor Shaggy knows one of them and can put in a good word for us." Sibella exclaims, beckoning Winnie to follow her to the car
- >It's been a day since the three, new girls arrived
- >Since then, they had their room set up, and with it being a weekend, the girls decided to meet, talk, and get acquainted with the new ghouls
- >First to meet, the Gill-Man's daughter, named "Kay".
- >Standing outside her door, Phantasma asks "What's her name again?"
- >"It's Kay." Winnie answers
- >"It wouldn't be, because we don't know her name." Phantasma says
- >"No, she means her name is Kay." Sibella pitches in
- >Phantasma pauses, looking at Sibella in confusion. "Well sure, her name is OK, but what is it?"
- >"That's is it." Winnie says
- >"What?" Phantasma asks
- >"Never mind, let's just go ahead." Sibella says, knocking the door to Kay's room
- >The gill-lady opens the door. "Oh hi, is something happening?"
- >"We just wanted to talk to you, ask you questions, and do the same with the other girls. Miss Grimwood says it helps with being more friendly with each other. Will that be a problem?" Sibella answers
- >"Oh no, it's just fine. What do you want to ask?" Kay says
- >"Well... how about where you're from?" Elsa asks
- >"In the Amazon river in... Dad says it's South America?" Kay answers
- >"Oh, interesting! Okay..." Elsa says
- >"Yes?" Kay asks
- >"Huh?" Elsa asks
- >"What are you? Miss Grimwood said 'Gill-lady', is that right?" Sibella asks
- >"That's what Dad says the air breathers call us, so yes." Kay answers
- >"Okay." Winnie says
- >"What?" Kay asks
- >"Huh?" Winnie asks
- >"What's your favorite sport?" Tanis asks
- >"Is swimming a sport?" Kay asks
- >"Yes, Okay." Phantasma says
- >"Yeah?" Kay asks, looking a little annoyed
- >"Hm?" Phantasma asks
- >"Well, I have things to do... it was nice talking to you all." Kay says, excusing herself back into her room and closing the door
- >"Was something we were saying bothering her?" Winnie asks
- >"You kept calling her by her name and then got confused when she answered. I'd be annoyed too." Phantasma states, floating down to the next new girl's room
- >Next up: Godiva, Godzilla's child
- >"Music's playing, but... what are they singing?" Winnie asks
- >Sibella puts her ear against the door. "I... don't know. It doesn't sound like English... Or any languagenI know of."
- >"Which ones do you know?" Tanis asks
- >"Hungarian and... um, English." Sibella replies
- >She knocks on the door, and a tutu-wearing lizard greets them
- >"ああ、 おはようございます。"
- >The group stands dumbfounded.
- >"はじめまして。ゴジラです。どうぞ よろしく。" she states, bowing her head slightly.
- >"Uh... I'm sorry? What... did you say?" Phantasma asks.
- >"は。" she staes, looking a bit confused
- >"Do you speak English?" Elsa asks
- >"えいご。ええい、わたしわ えいごが はなせません。" she states plainly, shaking her head side to side
- >The others continue to look confused.
- >"ああ、 すみません。え-と... え-と..." Godiva states, tapping her chin with her claw.
- >She waves at the group, opens her mouth and points to it, then to the group and shakes her head. She then makes motions of holding something and turning pages, and points back into her room. She waves goodbye and closes the door.
- >"Any clue what she was doing?" Winnie asks the others
- >"... Nope. Let's, uh, keep going." Sibella states
- >"Like, we're already out of popcorn."
- >"Seriously? Again? You just made those two minutes ago." Winnie says with a look of disbelief.
- >"Can't help that they're that good, man. I'm gonna go make another bowl." Shaggy says, getting up from the couch
- >"Oh come on, just sit here for more than five minutes and watch the show." Winnie begs
- >He retakes his spot on the couch. "Alright, alright."
- >Winnie was draped in a large blanket she took from the closet, and she tossed one end to Shaggy
- >She didn't really care about the show, but she's glad she convinced him to stay a bit longer
- >She inches herself closer to him and rests her head on his shoulder
- >Since he turned back into a werewolf, he's been eating her out of house and home
- >Thankfully it was mostly the "human" meals she wasn't so fond of but kept for guests, but the other meals she preferred often tended to disappear the moment she gets them
- >It wasn't too much of a problem, just a minor annoyance
- >Winnie takes note that the hair contrasts with her own; it's more bristly and tough, unlike her smooth and soft fur
- >It felt different but it relaxed her, especially with being this close to him
- >Her arm idly laid on his lap under the covers
- >With a bit of searching she eventually found his hand and held it
- >With silence, both looked to the television while thinking to themselves
- >"This is nice." Winnie thought
- >"I wonder if I can mince some hotdogs, pour chocolate syrup on it and mix it with some popcorn." Shaggy thought
