I. General FAQ
Q: Who Are You?
A: I am Virtualboy, speedrunner and former video reviewer.

Q: When do you stream?
A: I am currently in my Sophomore Year of High School, so I'm pretty busy with that a lot, but I try to stream on the weekends or whenever I have free time during the week.

Q: What Are Your Current Goals for Speed Running?
A: My goals are:
MMV: Sub 47
Animal Crossing: Sub 45
Mother 3: Sub 6:45

Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga: Sub 1:45

Q: What Do you use to stream?
A: I use a Dazzle DVC 100 to capture my game footage, X Split to stream, and Livesplit as a timer. Livesplit can be found at Livesplit.org

Q: What is World Record in this Game?
A: World Record in this game is 46:42 by Mrcab55

Q: What is your PB?
A: My PB is 49:04

Q: Why Do You Not Always Keep the Buster Charged?
A: This game has a crazy amount of Lag, charging the buster only increases it and can cost tons of time over the course of the run.

Q: Why don't you play on Super Game Boy?
A: Super Game Boy runs at a higher speed than original Gameboy/GB Player. If I did runs on the SGB, I would have to multiply the time by 1.024115

Q: Why Are You Taking Time to Pick up Weapon Drops?
A: In the second half of this game (After beating Dark Moon and going into space), the game does not refill weapon energy between stages. This means I will take almost every big weapon drop given to me.

Q: Why Did You Reset?
A: Because I'm Bad At Video Games

III. Animal Crossing

Q: ANIMAL CROSSING SPEEDRUN!?!?!?!?!?
A: Yep, in this run I aim to pay off all 5 of Tom Nook's House Debts as quickly as possible.

Q: Why did you reset after you looked at the map?
A: I'll reset if I get a bad layout. A bad layout would be a three layer town or a town with a very outlying villager house.

V. Paper Mario All Cards

Q: What does "All Cards" mean?
A: In this category I must collect all of the star spirit cards at the end of every chapter. This is similar to something like Ocarina of Time All Dungeons.

Q: Why are you jumping out of a spin?
A: If you don't jump out of the spin at the end, Mario has about 1 second of lag where he can't move. Jumping cancels this lag.

Q: What was that glitch?
A: Here's an index of glitches, in order.

General:

Loading Zone Storage: By jumping out of the loading zone (the little box that takes you to the next area) on the frame you hit the ground, you can go back into the area you were just in even though you touched the loading zone. However, if you are on the ground for more than 1 frame, you will activate the loading zone and remove your storage. Used for skipping Peach Cutscenes at the end of Chapters.

Prologue:

Black Toad Skip: Out of Bounds to clip behind the toads to get to chapter 1 early. Skips talking to Merlon and another cutscene. Saves approximately 1 minute.

Chapter 1:

Stair Skip: Out of bounds to skip a cutscene of lifting up the staircase and 3 battles. Saves 1-2 minutes.

Chapter 2:
Blue House Skip: Frame Perfect jump off of one pixel. Skips the whale segment of chapter 5. In All Cards saves 3-4 minutes. In Any% saves 50 minutes.

Early Train: Clip into storage room to get chapter 4 train set early. Sets triggers in chapter 2 to make the dungeon faster. Saves 4-5 minutes.

Do-Do-Do-Do-Dododo-Do Skip: Card Loading Zone Storage. By storing the loading zone from the save/heal room and then jumping into the card, the transition back to the room will over right the "Chapter Complete" Animation and the Peach Cutscene. LZS (Loading Zone Storage) on Cards 2,3, and 4 saves around 10 minutes across the run.

However, many triggers are already set because I do chapter 5 first.
In some runs people do Chapter 4 before Chapter 5. In that case you will see them do Gourmet Guy skip. I find Gourmet Guy Skip to be extremely difficult so I do Chapter 5 before Chapter 4.

EZPZ (Card 4 Loading Zone Storage)

Chapter 5:
Yoshi Skip + Raven Skip: Biggest Skip in All Cards. Skips the long sequence of having to get the baby yoshis and talking to Ralph the raven. Saves 8-10 minutes. NOTE: Japanese Only

Flarakarry: Skips having to break all of the blocks in the volcano to break the big rock blocking the way.

Chapter 6:
Glitchless!

Chapter 7:
Swim on Ground Glitch: By swimming in the ground I can swim past the snowmen and hit the loading zone to go to the next area without doing the Snowman Quest.

Staircase Skip: Extremely difficult trick that I do not go for on a regular basis. I will go for this if I am behind. Skips talking to the wizard to get the stone to raise the staircase.

Kooper Skip: Skips finding the real Kooper among the duplighosts. Saves <30 seconds. NOTE: Japanese Only.

Chapter 8:

Box Clip: Clip into box and fly over the lava. Skips the entire cavern section of Bowser's Castle. Saves 4 minutes.

Fast Water Room: A series of Lakilester Clips that allows me to do the water room much faster than normal. Also Jesus Mario. Saves 2 minutes.

Staircase Skip: Lakilester Clip/Out of Bounds to skip golden cannon fights.

Luigi Skip: For whatever reason when holding down on the pipe going to the party, Luigi will not come out of the pipe. This saves 5-10 seconds because it skips extra text. If I am behind on splits I will not do Luigi skip because he deserves to come to the party too! :)

Q;What is World Record?
A: 3:11:15 by Ishnisum. But that run uses a drastically different route than the one I use.
