(Cabalists): You say, "Aye. Looks like the far-off rumblings of war, this time."

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "We will manage, I daresay."

(Cabalists): You say, "I'm not particularly worried. Some figures in the city were having a
panic attack because we're withdrawing from some of the land we held halfway across the continent."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "All war does is just make your city lose a bit of face, and some commodities, for a little while. Big deal."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "If you lose, that is."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "I would actually partake in war if I had the power to change things with its utilization."

(Cabalists): You say, "I didn't get the impression we'd be picking any fights."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "Well, considering Spinesreach broke treaty with Bloodloch, you don't know."

(Cabalists): You say, "You got any insights to share, old man, in regards to the 'loch?"

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "Eh. I don't claim to be well-seasoned in the arts of war, but I was under the impression that there was a little more to it than just that. Any word on why 'reach broke the treaty with 'loch? Been hearing all manner of rumour and hearsay."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "Honestly, from what I heard Bloodloch is requesting their aid for a potential future war with Enorian or Duiran should they strike at us. And Spinesreach denied aid."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "It could be wrong, though. I wasn't listening very closely."

(Cabalists): You say, "Hm. Says here the Spires are going for neutrality this time 'round."

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "Ah. Well that alleviates -those- rumours, anyway."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "Spinesreach is going for 'Let's ignore that Bloodloch leaps to our aid every time something happens to us' this time around."

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "I didn't think the leadership had gone as crazy as rumours would lead one to believe. Though I'm not sure aiming for neutrality under the circumstances is necessarily wise."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "I hope Duiran turns for Spinesreach over Bloodloch, and gets severely pounded. Maybe they'll lose a fraction of their undeserved arrogance if they get shattered in war."

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "Did you not just say the consequences of war were nothing?"

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "I was being facetious. Spinesreach will never lose their arrogance."

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "And I was taking yor words at face value. How silly of me."

(Cabalists): Ezrax says, "Why should they, when there's zero consequences for such actions?"

(Cabalists): Taelyndara says, "Mm."

(Cabalists): You say, "You should eat a pinch of salt, old man. Might do something for that bitterness."
