Melee/PM L cancel tutorial

Hey it's noboruplaysgames. L canceling in melee and pm is an extremely important tech that helps speed up your attacks by canceling the ending lag of an arial. The button imput is simple. Just press l or r after using an arial right before you hit the ground. The timings, however can be a bit frustrating. You know you are doing it to early or late if it doesent cancel the lag. A missed l cancel is one of the oppritunities that players will use to punish you. To practice this I reccomend picking a character that you have either already learned how to short hop with or your main. Get used to the l cancel timing for each one of your character's arials. It will be trial and error but eventually you will pick up on the timing. Once mastered, you will be able to speed up your overall play, improve your combos, and avoid being punished as often for missed arials. Good luck practicing!
