Earl Heston Wilsbury the Younger is not technically an Earl, yet. His father - a huge and rather fearsome man - is, however.
Young Heston was never someone who would put too much effort into something... something his father, a proud military man, found unacceptable. He showed a certain skill with an axe: when he could be motivated to do something, he could deal stunning damage with his weapon of choice - the minimal effort of a single, deadly swing appealed to the young noble.

Finally, his father could take no more, and threw him out, in effect: and only to return when he fitted the manly ideal his father held. His mother, however, worried for the safety of her little darling - and sent his rather fearsome maid to look after him.
