  11. [11:18] * Spindles is now known as Kristoff
  12. [11:25] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The rest of your meal with Captain Steiner and his odd mix of companions passes in relative peace. The first to go is Braag, who with proper ogre straighforwardness informs you all that he's off to find 'a proppa bit t'eat.' Steiner informs you this probably means a large farm animal - "Never hire an ogre if you can't afford to feed him."
  13. [11:26] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The Bright Wizard, Carmilla, subsides into thoughfulness, breaking it as after-meal liquors are going around to give a comment, "As much as it pains me to say, Albrecht, perhaps we should inform the ice woman about this...mask of theirs," she nods in the artifact's direction.
  14. [11:27] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "I see nothing special about it, but it still leaves me ill at ease, and that woman has her hands on more information than me."
  15. [11:27] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The Bright Wizard makes a face like she's had a taste of a particularly sour lemon.
  16. [11:27] <Antonio> "The Prince offa Trantio? He made thatta mistake whenna he hired the Golfag Maneater." Upon hearing Carmilla speak. "Ah ha! Si! I shalla take it uponna myself to tella this magic woman aboutta the mask!"
  17. [11:29] <Kristoff> "No. No I think I'll take the brunt of that task."
  18. [11:29] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Captain Steiner grunts, "You'll need someone to vouch for you. She has that place locked up tighter than a Shallyan's - er," the old soldier remembers he's in polite company and coughs.
  19. [11:29] <Kristoff> "A common misconception, actually. Technically there's no vow of chastity among my order."
  20. [11:30] <Antonio> "I canna tell you, there's no vow offa chasity with the sisters, either."
  21. [11:30] <Yelena> "I think we know someone who can vouch for us."
  22. [11:31] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Who wants to have their way with a woman who's always weeping for the fate of the world, anyway?" Carmilla observes bluntly, leaning back in her chair, "Except this dog here," she nods at Antonio. "In any case, Albrecht, count me out. You know we don't get along."
  23. [11:31] <Kristoff> "Fire and ice, eh?"
  24. [11:32] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Captain Steiner smirks at some memory fleetingly, "Very well."
  25. [11:32] * Antonio points to Kristoff. "Signorina, the bambino issa the bow wow, not I."
  26. [11:33] <Kristoff> "And yet you're the one humping the lass' leg."
  27. [11:33] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Yes, yes, ha-ha, we've all made the joke," Carmilla says irritably. With the meal party breaking up and its guests rousing themselves, there's a great clattering of dishes and scraping of chairs, "I'm telling you, I've met shadowmancers more forthright than these Kislevite ice hags."
  28. [11:33] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Captain Steiner looks Yelena's way, raising a politely inquiring eyebrow, "Someone else, you mean?"
  29. [11:34] <Antonio> "Why should I deny the women offa this world from having butta one night offa my company?"
  30. [11:35] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "You know, it reminds me of those Morrites," Carmilla says to Kristoff, nodding Antonio's way, "The ones who say we're all born to suffer a bit first. No other good explanation for his like."
  31. [11:36] * Baba_Baichu makes a single, slow nod in Steiner's direction. "If the wisdom of the oblast comes bearing a warning, one of the tzarina's kind will know to listen, I think."
  32. [11:36] <Kristoff> "You know, as someone who works closely with the scions of Morr, you might not be wrong."
  33. [11:36] <Yelena> "Yes, we've had the luck of meeting a boyar on the way here. Right now he's... busy, though."
  34. [11:37] <Kristoff> "A good friend of his fell in the attack by the kurgan."
  35. [11:37] <Kristoff> "The swine that killed him wore the mask I showed you moments ago."
  36. [11:38] * Baba_Baichu turns a look toward Yelena, evidently having taken the wrong meaning. She huffs like the slighted old person she is.
  37. [11:39] * Yelena shakes her head sadly. "At least he died well."
  38. [11:40] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Captain Steiner nods, "I see," he sounds dubious on the prospect, but doesn't demur, "Well, in any case-" he's cut off by the arrival of one of the tavern's serving-folk.
  39. [11:41] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The pair excange brief words and Steiner turns back to your party, "Apparently, Lady Thorne, an Arkady Ivanasyn is enquiring after your presence. I assume this is your boyar friend?"
  40. [11:42] <Kristoff> "One and the same."
  41. [11:43] * Kristoff finishes off his drink. "It was a pleasure, gentlemen."
  42. [11:43] <Kristoff> "and lady."
  43. [11:43] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "It's bloody good to hear some proper fucking Reikspiel again," Carmilla says irreverently, smirking as Steiner winces at the vulgarity.
  44. [11:44] <Kristoff> "Damn right."
  45. [11:44] * Antonio finishes off the wine, and stands up. "Ifffa you excuse me..." He stands up, a little wobbly. "There is a woman inna this town that requires the warmth only thissa Tilean can provide.
  46. [11:44] <Antonio> "
  47. [11:45] * Yelena softly rasps her knuckle against the table before standing up. "Thank you for your hospitality."
  48. [11:46] <Kristoff> "You know I think you should see an apothecary about that."
  49. [11:47] <Antonio> "Aboutta what?"
  50. [11:47] * Baba_Baichu rises with a groan and popping of joints. She gives Steiner and Carmilla a shallow parting bow, turning toward the exit to get some air.
  51. [11:48] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Any enemy of the Kurgan is a friend of ours," Captain Steiner replies to Yelena, "They're worse than beastmen, and less human I'll warrant," he gives Antonio a dubious look, "As I've said, you'll need someone to vouch for you. Sergeant von Breithof is to deliver some reports to the ice witch on my behalf, I can instruct him to bring you along."
  52. [11:48] <Kristoff> "Tilean warmth. That's the one that gives you a rash in your nethers, right? Brother Hemsfeldt got that once after a night with a lass in Bechafen."
  53. [11:48] <Kristoff> "Please do."
  54. [11:49] <Kristoff> "We'll need someone we know has a reputation with her."
  55. [11:49] * Antonio leans back, brushing Kristoff off. "Imperial humor issa so ghastly, no?" He stage whispers to Yelena.
  56. [11:50] * TXT_Work is now known as Jean
  57. [11:50] * Jean nods as the servant arrives and Steiner speaks. "Very well."
  58. [11:50] <Antonio> "Oh! Anna Jean! Remember! Arkady hassa the broken leg, donta ride him a too hard."
  59. [11:51] * Yelena gives Antonio a half-worried half-pained look before turning back to Steiner. "That would be good, thank you. As for kurgans, I'm sure the display in front of the walls will keep them away."
  60. [11:51] <Kristoff> "If not, they can appreciate the scenery your ice witch has prepared for them."
  61. [11:51] * Jean stands. "Even with a broken leg he'd be a better ride than you."
  62. [11:52] * Jean goes off to meet the Boyar.
  63. [11:52] <Commissar_Cornflakes> As you depart the Bear and Eagle, you find Arkady waiting for you, the young boyar's expression closed, leaning heavily on his makeshift crutch. There's a thin book under his right arm, old and battered, and as you arrive at the doorway he steps forward. Fortunately, he appears to have missed this exchange.
  64. [11:52] <Antonio> "You arra always welcome to findda out, Signorina!" Antonio would cry out as Jean leaves.
  65. [11:53] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Ser Thorne, if you've some time, I've found something in Aleksandr's possessions that...may be relevant to you. I think we might review it."
  66. [11:54] <Kristoff> "Should we be privy to this, Ser Thorne?"
  67. [11:54] * Jean looks to Arkady with some measure of concern. She looks back to the others. "I think... perhaps not yet. I will go with him and see."
  68. [11:54] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Ser, it does not seem like a matter that would concern you," the boyar says politely, "It's a Bretonnian matter."
  69. [11:55] <Kristoff> "Of course."
  70. [11:55] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Captain Steiner sends a valet to fetch Sergeant von Breithof, who arrives in short enough order. The captain bids you farewell, and Carmilla offers Antonio some parting advice, "Try not to get your bollocks frozen off."
  71. [11:56] <Yelena> "Very well. We also might have a service to ask of you afterwards," she says in kislevarin.
  72. [11:57] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "If it is within my ability to do, I shall do it," Arkady replies in kind.
  73. [11:58] * Kristoff greets the Sergeant respectfully. "Thank you for vouching for us on this, I'd rather not have to chip antonio out of a block of ice if I can help it."
  74. [11:58] <Commissar_Cornflakes> With that helpful suggestion, you're left with the Sergeant, whose temper still seems to be simmering after the day's earlier disagreements. He gives no voice to any resentment however, "It is of no consequence," he replies slowly, "If Captain Steiner thinks it worthwhile, then so be it."
  75. [11:59] <Antonio> "You donta much like your Capitano, do you?"
  76. [11:59] <Kristoff> "Of course...that reminds me. Have you or any of your comrades seen any temples to Shallya up north?"
  77. [12:01] <Yelena> "I think you'd have better luck finding a temple of Salyak."
  78. [12:01] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Viggo gives Antonio a withering look, "Captain Steiner is a fine man, even if he is a Middenlander and a commoner besides. If I didn't like him, I certainly wouldn't gossip about it like a girl with some Tilean vagabond," this rebuke delivered, he turns to Kristoff, "The Ungol woman is right, but will find the Temple of Salyak in Kislev hews closer to Shallya."
  79. [12:02] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "I am told Erengrad has a Shallyan temple itself, but I have not seen it. Sigmar willing I never will have to."
  80. [12:02] <Kristoff> "Hmn. the vision told me of a temple to Shallya , locked in irons..." He muttered aloud.
  81. [12:02] <Kristoff> "....No matter, let's go."
  82. [12:06] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The ataman's manse is only a short walk away, and Viggo strides directly up to the guards minding the gate. Their uniforms are subtly different from those of the Captain and his men, but that doesn't bother the Sergeant, "Inform your mistress that Sergeant von Breithof is here to speak with her, and has brought guests regarding a matter concerning the Kurgan."
  83. [12:07] <Yelena> "Well," she hesitates. "I think the Erengrad harbour can be locked with a chain, to prevent norscan ships from sailing in directly."
  84. [12:07] <Antonio> "Vagabond!? Whatta makes you think that?"
  85. [12:08] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The guard looks dubiously at your party, but doesn't test the Ssrgeant's wrath. While you wait, Viggo produces a snuff box and samples the contents. It seems this man never fully relaxes.
  86. [12:09] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "The only Tileans that come this far north are criminals and soldiers in mercenary companies," Viggo says bluntly, "If you were here with one of the families, you'd already be in Erengrad. If you were here with a company, you'd not be with these," he nods in the direction of the rest of you.
  87. [12:10] <Kristoff> "....I don't know if I should be offended by that."
  88. [12:12] <Antonio> "Itsa long story onna why one should be careful whenna sleeping with the married women."
  89. [12:17] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Before long, the guard returns at a jog, and the gate is opened to you. Viggo leads the way, "A word of warning," he says, "Though if your Ungol friends have not been able to impress it on you I doubt I will. This is Kislev. The ice witches ill like foolish games. Present what you came to present and do not waste her time."
  90. [12:18] <Commissar_Cornflakes> As you walk up the way to the house itself, you pass a pair of men loading a corpse into a donkey cart - well, a corpse incased in ice. The Kurgan face beneath is barely visible, twisted in a hideous expression of pain and fear.
  91. [12:18] <Yelena> "Hum, yes. You'd better shut up, Antonio. Unless you'd prefer she shuts you up permanently."
  92. [12:18] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "I suppose they'll need to start stacking them up like cordwood by that tree," Viggo laughs.
  93. [12:19] <Kristoff> "Perhaps they could use them to chill their ale."
  94. [12:19] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The Kossars at the front door open the way ahead of you, and you find yourself standing in the front hall of a modest but well-appointed manse - presently occupied by two figures of interest.
  95. [12:20] * Antonio looks at Yelena. "Oh, please. Everyone findsa me nothing butta charming."
  96. [12:21] <Commissar_Cornflakes> One is a man you've never seen before, short and doughy-faced, wearing thick round spectacles. Weak-chinned and whiskerless, he has a peevish, almost rodentine look. You might take him for a banker - or worse, a litigator, if not for the black uniform and furred cap he wears, and the bronze-tipped cudgel at his hip.
  97. [12:22] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The other man is more shabbily dressed in fur and mail, tall and wiry and familiar to you. It's your erstwhile comrade, Blackcloak.
  98. [12:23] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The pair leave off on their conversation at your arrival, looking up. You see Blackcloak register slight surprise while the other man looks at each of you in a birdlike way that seems to promise he will remember your faces.
  99. [12:23] <Kristoff> "Hmn, what is Herr Blackcloak doing here?"
  100. [12:24] <Yelena> "I think I can explain that to you later."
  101. [12:24] <Commissar_Cornflakes> " - very well, then," Blackcloak finishes some statement to the stranger, turns, and strides for the door, brushing past you with a nod.
  102. [12:25] * Antonio is ever the bold and rakish Tilean. "Buonasera! Signore Blackcloak!? How issa it you were able to getta the access to the donna di ghiaccio before I, Antonio di Muratore?" He looks a little miffed when the mercenary bypasses him.
  103. [12:25] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Trade secret," Blackcloak says, with a bare hint of humor in farewell.
  104. [12:26] <Kristoff> "Hmn."
  105. [12:26] * Yelena nods back as a way of saying good bye.
  106. [12:26] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "And who are these?" the small man asks, addressing himself to the sergeant.
  107. [12:26] * Antonio waits for Blackcloak to leave, the door close, then bites his thumb in the general direction Blackcloak took. "Thatsa what I think offa your trade secret."
  108. [12:27] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Men and women to see Lebedyenko on the matter of the Kurgan," Viggo answers. The black-clad man waits, and Viggo says further, "No affair of yours, Smerdyakov. Don't you have a sewer to crawl back to?"
  109. [12:28] * Kristoff smacks Antonio upside the head for his disrespect.
  110. [12:28] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Smerdyakov scowls, "All affairs of Kislev are my affairs, mercenary," he says the last word like one might say an insult, "You had do well to remember that."
  111. [12:28] <Antonio> "Che cosa!?" Is his indignant reply in Tilean.
  112. [12:29] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Then I won't keep you from them," Viggo says, starting towards the staircase without waiting to see if you'll follow.
  113. [12:30] * Yelena follows, careful not to look at anything but Viggo.
  114. [12:32] * Kristoff follows Viggo hurriedly, once the gerbil-that-walks-like-a-man is out of earshot, he whispers to Viggo "What was all that about?"
  115. [12:32] * Yelena softly pushes Antonio on the way.
  116. [12:33] * Baba_Baichu shows less care as she shuffles after Yelena, beads and idols rattling from their fixtures on her robes. She gives this Smerdyakov a nod of greeting as she passes, sniggering afterwards.
  117. [12:33] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Smerdyakov is one of the Tzarina's chekist - her, ah, 'secret' police," Viggo says, "Detestible creatures. Even the boyar fear them."
  118. [12:33] * Antonio marches, not getting a reply. "This alla better be a worth it."
  119. [12:34] <Kristoff> "He doesn't seem like the sort of man one should fear...but I suppose that might make him more fearsome."
  120. [12:35] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Then you're no fool," Viggo allows, smirking.
  121. [12:35] * Yelena looks back, checking he's not following. "They're right to. Few else have as much power over all, even boyars."
  122. [12:36] <Commissar_Cornflakes> You reach a door that clearly belongs to the master of the house - or would, were he not presently headquartered in a tavern - and before Viggo can knock a sharp voice calls out, "Enter."
  123. [12:36] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The sergeant rolls his eyes at you, as if to express his attitude towards wizardly tricks, and opens the door so that you might proceed.
  124. [12:37] <Kristoff> "Antonio. Listen to me right now. Whatever you are thinking: Don't." He says firmly before stepping in, keeping his head lowered respectively.
  125. [12:38] <Antonio> "Imma not thinking anything." A truer statement has probably never been stated by the Tilean.
  126. [12:38] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The front room of the ataman's chambers are one part office, one part sitting room. Here is a surprisingly well-stocked bookshelf, there a better-stocked liquor cabinet. The fireplace is bare and the doors to the balcony are open, admitting a cool breeze.
  127. [12:40] <Commissar_Cornflakes> A massive desk dominates the far end of the room, at which sits what can only be the ice witch, clad in a long, pale dress decorated with softly tinkling shards of cut glass. A fur stole around her neck seems more a badge of office than an attempt to fend off the cold. She doesn't look up at your arrival, scribbling at some parchment.
  128. [12:41] <Commissar_Cornflakes> When she finally deigns to look at you, it's with pale blue eyes rimed with ice and devoid of human sentiment. Her face is as beautiful as any poet might hope, but as cold as if it had been cut from a Norscan glacier.
  129. [12:42] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Brushing a sheaf of black hair from her eyes, she speaks, a puff of cold air accompanying her words, "Yes, sergeant?"
  130. [12:43] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Even Viggo seems taken slightly aback, though this can't be the first time he's been in the ice witch's presence, "I've - that is, the weekly disposition reports are completed. As well as the after-action analyses following our last battle." The ice witch waves her hand impatiently, and Viggo steps forward to deposit a sheaf of documents before the woman.
  131. [12:44] <Commissar_Cornflakes> For the first time, the ice witch looks to each of you, only pausing when she comes to Baba Baichu, "And your guests?" she asks, a hint of impatience entering her voice.
  132. [12:46] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Travellers, ma'am, who encountered and fought off a band of Kurgan in the Shirokij Forest. They slew a chieftain and his wyrd, and had an item that may be of interest to you."
  133. [12:46] * Kristoff presents the golden, skull-faced mask.
  134. [12:47] <Antonio> "Dea di ghiaccio, I am Antonio di Muratore!" The tilean makes large, sweeping gestures, as he approaches the ice witch. "I am bold! I am rakish! But Imma humbled by the beauty before me!" He would stand before her, and take a knee. "Could you butta grant this poor mortal man the smallest offa favors, so that he will always remember the ice anna snow when he goes backa home to the south?"
  135. [12:47] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The ice witch hardly listens to Viggo, instead addressing herself to Baba Baichu, "You're far from your home, old wisdom," she says with formal, frigid politeness.
  136. [12:47] <Commissar_Cornflakes> She turns to regard Kristoff's approach, indicating he might set the mask on the desk.
  137. [12:48] * Yelena softly side-steps away from Antonio.
  138. [12:48] * Kristoff gently sets the mask down onto it. "We pried this from the face of a chaos champion wearing a belt of screaming heads."
  139. [12:49] * Baba_Baichu stands with her face shrouded by her hood, seeming to take on the countenance of patient stone in opposition to the ice witch's irritation. She lets Antonio finish before speaking: "My travels have brought me far to the south. Now I return home to the north with my prize."
  140. [12:50] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The witch nods at Baichu, as if this explains much to her.
  141. [12:50] <Commissar_Cornflakes> When Antonio gives voice to his impassioned outburst, the witch fixes her attention on him. It's less like being under the gaze of a woman, and more like having the attention of an eagle. "Sergeant," she says calmly, without looking at Viggo, "Is this some sort of jape?"
  142. [12:51] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The mercenary actually cringes, "No - no m'am, he's simply-"
  143. [12:51] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "-A Tilean, yes, I could tell."
  144. [12:52] <Kristoff> "I'd like to apologise on my companion's behalf. He knows not to whom he speaks."
  145. [12:53] <Antonio> "I know exactly who I talk to! I am a hotta blooded Tilean man, and Imma talking to a beautiful woman! My reaction issa only natural!"
  146. [12:53] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Hm. Well, it remains to be seen if you have cause to be any favor of me at all," the ice witch says. Now Viggo, too, takes a surreptitious step away from Antonio. Daintily, the ice witch takes up the golden mask.
  147. [12:55] <Antonio> "My only cause issa for your benefit, Signorina! The most beautiful woman inna this town shoulda least meet the greatest lover to grace thissa town before he leaves, no?"
  148. [12:55] * Kristoff sighs and buries his face in his hands.
  149. [12:55] <Kristoff> "Antonio we talked about this."
  150. [12:55] * Jean (d7430654@sux-11491D6B.mibbit.com) Quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
  151. [12:56] <Commissar_Cornflakes> A disgusted expression crosses her face, and you hear her mutter some words under her breath. There's a strange creaking and groaning, and after a moment you realize the mask is being encased in ice.
  152. [12:56] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Slowly, the glittering coffin frosts over, concealing the mask from view.
  153. [12:57] * Clamber (AndChat119@sux-938B1779.mycingular.net) has joined #tcci-11
  154. [12:57] <Antonio> "We did! Anna I have done nothing butta be polite!"
  155. [12:57] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "No foolishness, Tilean," she rebukes Antonio, then turns her attention back to your group, "What can you tell me of the man who bore this mask? Be detailed."
  156. [12:58] <Antonio> "But, donna, alla Tileans, they become the fools when around the beautiful women."
  157. [12:58] <Kristoff> "He was a mutant, he screamed that he was an arrow loosed by 'Tchar' to bring about our doom. He screamed about destiny, and was accompanied by a Wizard. He bore an elven sword and a belt made of severed heads that screamed."
  158. [12:59] * Baba_Baichu lifts her hand to her chin, letting out a breath of sated curiosity at the sight of the ice encasing the mask.
  159. [13:00] <Yelena> "He called himself Arnok Doombringer."
  160. [13:02] <Commissar_Cornflakes> The ice witch closes her eyes as you speak, apparently in thought. An uncomfortably long minute goes by before she speaks again, "The name of such a...man...is not known to me, but the Great Enemy has many lieutenants, all equally disposable."
  161. [13:03] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "The other name I do know," she says, "And it is one you would do well not to say too freely, lest you draw the eye of the being it belongs to."
  162. [13:04] <Kristoff> "Of course."
  163. [13:05] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Servants of this darkling god put great stock in prophecy and vision, and it seems that - for whatever reason - you have found yourself an object of interest." She turns her attention back to Baichu.
  164. [13:06] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Baba, have you tested your comrades for the taint? You and your sisters can sense it better than any," it doesn't seem to shame the powerful witch any to say so.
  165. [13:06] * Antonio stage whispers to Kristoff. "Do we tella her about the spirit anna the murders?"
  166. [13:07] <Kristoff> "Soon."
  167. [13:07] * TXTypewriter (Mutter@AF65559C.EB440313.8633422E.IP) has joined #tcci-11
  168. [13:07] * TXTypewriter is now known as Jean
  169. [13:07] * Baba_Baichu straightens slightly. "Whatever their vices, they do not carry the taint."
  170. [13:09] <Antonio> "My only flaw issa that I love to much anna to easily, Padrona di Ghiaccio!"
  171. [13:10] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Your flaw seems to be that your tongue runs quicker than your mind," the ice witch comments.
  172. [13:11] <Kristoff> "That's what I keep telling him."
  173. [13:11] <Commissar_Cornflakes> There's a knock at the door, and a wary-looking kossar pokes his head in.
  174. [13:11] <Antonio> "It issa a kind of courage, si."
  175. [13:11] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Mistress, two more to see you - a Bretonnian and Boyar Arkady Ivanasyn."
  176. [13:12] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Send them in, then," the woman says.
  177. [13:12] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Arkady limps in under his own power, apparently unwilling to be seen limping on a crutch in front of an ice witch, and executes a respectful - if stiff - bow.
  178. [13:13] * Antonio slaps a hand over his heart. "Jean, I said to be the careful witha Arkady."
  179. [13:13] <Yelena> "They both travel with us."
  180. [13:14] <Yelena> "And what should be done with the mask then?"
  181. [13:15] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "Then they were travelling with you?" the witch asks, looking to Jean and Arkady. She barely acknowledges the boyar's bow, "Very well."
  182. [13:16] <Commissar_Cornflakes> Looking back to Yelena, she inclines her head slightly, "I will take the mask under my own care. It is a thing touched by the Dark Gods, and unclean."
  183. [13:16] <Yelena> "Of course," she nods slowly.
  184. [13:16] <Commissar_Cornflakes> "It is well, nonetheless, that you brought it to me, for it tells me much."
