  1. Ouranos Origen says, "You."
  2. Ouranos Origen says, "Hello."
  3. Maertock Reave says, "Me, hello."
  4. Ouranos Origen says, "Our leader, the honorable dragon lord, Varceal Vartuul is requesting your presence."
  5. Ouranos Origen asks, "Will you follow us to our temple?"
  6. Raphael crossed his arms over his chest, looking over at the trio for the time. A brief exhale is taken inwards, his shoulders lightly shrugging. The Drakanite tilts his head to the side, palming his cheek afterwards.
  7.
  8. "Do you want me to go tell Varceal? I don't mind the short job," a thumb is pointed behind him.
  9. (Raphael Vance)
  10. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  11.
  12. Ouranos would just nod his head.
  13. (Ouranos Origen)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. Ouranos Origen says, "Please."
  17. Ouranos would just nod his head.
  18. (Ouranos Origen)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. Maertock would awaken from his alcoholic daze, blinking steadily as the Captain of the Deep Company's lidded eyes fell over the pair of wanderers with a flash of his jagged toothed, serrated grin. With a soft click of his teeth, he'd no firmly at that.
  22.
  23. "Oh yeah, that guy. I remember him. Yeah sure why not, I ain't doin' shit right now. Lead the way kids."
  24.
  25. The captain would take a firm drag from his cigar, blowing clouds of smoke through his gills up towards the distant horizon as the giant sawshark fishman followed along wit h cheer.
  26. (Maertock Reave)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. Varceal stood a unreadable book no expression - he wasn't as impulsive as the rest he would wait to hear the words of all before he makes his judgement on anything.
  30.
  31. To that he would turn to the sirenian pirate and give a nod. "Good then - all of our guest is here, and we can get to the bottom of what has transpired.. I like to make sure that I hear the words of everyone..."
  32.
  33. He wasn't un-honorable - they would not be attacked in number - no delegations took delicate hands and words had to be chosen wisely - they were not simple savages that yell and demand what they want.
  34.
  35. "If you would all follow me.. we can get this all taken care of - and this mess can be solved or tangled at the end of this."
  36.
  37. He turned and would start to walk to his temple.
  38. (Varceal Vartuul)
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. There's a solemn nod of Orodyn's pale countenance cast at the duo - a natively inexpressive one.
  42.
  43. "Aye, I trust our temple of embers will be best suited for us to tackle this conversation.
  44.
  45. Doing this out in the open is hardly conditions."
  46. (Orodyn Vartuul)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. Lannis Grimmore says, "Zoom, zoom."
  50. Varceal Vartuul says, "Braga.. your on guard duty for the stunt you pulled earlier."
  51. Varceal Vartuul says, "Guard the door."
  52. Orodyn Vartuul says, "Safekeep, Braga."
  53. Braga says, "C'mon... "
  54. Ouranos would offer the seat next to the Dragonlord.
  55. (Ouranos Origen)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. Lannis takes his seat..!
  59.
  60. Idly tapping his hands away at the table before them, he hadn't much a need for noble composure.
  61.
  62. Vales could handle all that.
  63. (Lannis Grimmore)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. Ouranos Origen says, "This one is yours, gill captain."
  67. Maertock Reave says, "Gill captain, I like that."
  68. Ouranos would look over and shrug, and then take the seat he offered him.
  69. (Ouranos Origen)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. Raphael Vance whispers: The fish guy is really cool looking, Brynhildr.
  73. Varceal Vartuul says, "Minerva.. council room."
  74. Orodyn Vartuul says, "BRAGA."
  75. Varceal Vartuul asks, "Can they hear us?"
  76. Orodyn Vartuul says, "DOYOURTASKBEFOREIRIPYOURHORNSOFFASWELL."
  77. Brynhildr nods her head in in response to whatever Raphael had whispered.
  78. (Brynhildr)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. Braga would stand at attention upon hearing his name called. He was told to guard the door one second and the next to summon Minerva. It was quite the task really but he'd get it done one way or another. After all, this was partly punishment for well... almost dying at the hands of the enemy so being bossed around was a small price to pay.
  82.
  83. He'd salute the Vartuuls before rushing off to find the Dragonlord, Minerva.
  84. (Braga)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. Vales took a seat next to his brother, keeping hold of his spear in one hand, leaving it casually at his side. More than anything, it was an act of comfort, for one could hardly sit with a weapon nearly as long as you poking into your back.
  88.
  89. "As I said before, I am here because I seek an alliance between the Fireblooded and the Grimmore. I'm not entirely sure what there is to discuss in here," Vales waved around the room with his free hand. "That could not be said outside.
  90.
  91. Are there terms you are expecting?"
  92. (Vales Grimmore)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. Minerva entered quietly, taking the only open seat remaining before her eyes settled on the hulking Siren sitting on the opposite table.
  96. (Minerva)
  97. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  98.
  99. The Vartuul would sigh at the thought of a alliance when there were so many pressing matters at hand... he felt disrespected.
  100.
  101. "I am not one to shy from my words - so I will speak plain, I feel disrespected." He said obviously his irritation was growing there was a lingering stink of unhonesty in the air - and if this Vartuul was anything he was honest.
  102.
  103. Lying was the weapon of cowards who lurk in the dark.
  104.
  105. "Do you take me for a fool - you speak of a alliance, but your allies have already made one with my mortal enemy - and you expect me to work with them.. those who except a people who wish the complete genocide of my race?" He scoffed looking at Vales.
  106.
  107. "You can hold your question of a Alliance until you answer the following - this here is one of the pirate leaders, as you know they enjoy money - and they don't mind hurting people for their cut- I respect that it's how they survive it provesthey are not cowards.. but they are also honest."
  108.
  109. So his eyes would shift to the sirianian. "When I a group to the shore you inhabit we had words and battles - but I asked of one thing to tell the truth- have the grimmores really paid your men to attack the fireblooded?. If so then why are you even here- and why shouldn't I have the right to attack you.. knowing this." he said as he looked to the two grimmores.
  110.
  111. He didn't move - it wasn't hotility.. he would hear all explanations. "On top of that - like I said before I heard rumor of achyon working with dragonslayers - but A pirate also said that you your self are looking to ally with them...- I am confused on why you that any of this would fail to reach me..."
  112. (Varceal Vartuul)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. Braga would return to the council-room but this time with him was the Dragon Lord Minerva. Who appeared to have been in a better condition than he last saw her. The same couldn't quite be same for Braga as he hadn't taken the time to get any proper treatment but luckily for the Drakanite his wounds were far from severe.
  116.
  117. Not that it mattered. What mattered was that this particular Drakanite could be seen standing by the entrance blocking the path overseeing the security of the room. Hopefully he was doing a good job thus far.
  118. (Braga)
  119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  120. Maertock would swagger in with a swashbuckler's reckless fervor and amusement, the seven foot sharkman sipping ambiently from his bottle of rum as he clicked his serrated digits together with cheer. The reaver was nothing if not an arbiter of chaos.
  121.
  122. Kicking his sandaled feet up on the table, the giant would lean back as his great white's eyes slowly trailed across the gathering of lords and ladies, the reaver king of the south coast nothing if not one for showmanship.
  123.
  124. "Man, you guys got a great carpet in here? Where's the booze and meat though? I was expecting at least some meat, I'm starving..."
  125.
  126. Maertock would bark out in laughter, before his eyes blackened not unlike a shark scenting blood as they fell upon the Grimmores.
  127.
  128. "Perks of being morally malleable is you get offers from just about everywhere for dirty work. Gotta thank my brother Murtock for that; turns out you maul enough people with your teeth, they get the message."
  129.
  130. A sniff of the air, followed by a bark of laughter.
  131.
  132. "But yes, if what my crew has said is true, it looks like your red haired pals there are playing the field same as us my salamander friend."
  133. (Maertock Reave)
  134. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  135.
  136. Having arrived a lot later than expected, he stands off to the side where he usually stood to better understand the situations. Often weighing the pros and cons of their visitors whenever they came to speak.
  137.
  138. There he stood with his arms wrapped in medicated gauze, one arm in a sling with his back against the wall. He did his best to remain aware of the conversation and trying to ignore his pain.
  139.
  140. He'd been gone for some time after all, if there was any time to jump back on the horse? This was it.
  141. (Dezmond Graves)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143. Cold as could ever so be.
  144.
  145. Such a gaze soon locked upon this figure which had sat across from those and worked only to undo their ties of trust. Winds which brought about cosmic stardust now building, collecting around such a noble as that cold gaze would soon come to settle. One such figure before them was naught more than a thief, daring to undo the word of nobility.
  146.
  147. His head shook, lies would be unwound here and now.
  148.
  149. "... I am uncertain what you have been told. Though I shall dispel any and all lies which have worked to cloud your vision, Dragon Lord." His voice filled with anger as that gaze continued to rest upon that singular soul. Even so much as pretending that such nobility needed, such nobility would be forced to work alongside bandits? Ridiculous a notion.
  150.
  151. He began with a breath, calming those nerves.
  152.
  153. "I sought out The Fireblooded because it was you who had earned my respect. You who carry blood of ancients in yourselveswhich I believed held superiority over so much. Similar to nobles in a sense, you had earned my eye and my desire to work with one another." Such a voice continued to call.
  154.
  155. "I've naught seen this man in my life. My family would not dare pay some fish which ally themselves with The Tribes we are sworn to push back to undo that which I had hoped to build."
  156.
  157. Shaking his head, the notion was disgusting.
  158.
  159. "I wish to be told all you have been informed of, so we may dispel these rumors. Achyon seeks to work alongside you - Seeks to speak with you on neutral grounds. My goal here was to build an essence of peace, not create strife for... Seemingly no gain?"
  160.
  161. His head shook once more.
  162.
  163. "It's odd. I'm uncertain how you do not find it odd that after I yearned for peace with your people, that we would then turn around and undermine that same desire?"
  164.
  165. They were not thinking clearly.
  166.
  167. "It makes no sense. Neither politically nor morally. My family has not paid these Filth so much as a single coin."
  168.
  169. Nodding to Vales, as if looking for any kind of support.
  170.
  171. "Nor... Would we stand alongside those who seek to rid your kin. As I have stated before, your blood can be seen as similar to our own. Heightened through heritage, earning our respect."
  172. (Lannis Grimmore)
  173. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  174. The result of the accusation was immediate to Vales. His brother was calm and diplomatic, and might very well have the ability to sort situations like this out. Vales, on the other hand? He was brash, irritable, and reassured of his place in the world at its head.
  175.
  176. He shot up, standing so rapidly the chair went flying backwards.
  177.
  178. When the Sirenian spoke, the spear was pointed directly at him, flames erupting at its head. "Speak your lies again while you have a tongue in my presence." Uncaring of the situation, of how many potential enemies now surrounded him.
  179.
  180. "Perhaps, Dragonlord, all of these things were done without my families knowledge or will." His gaze turned, narrowed fury within it. "Do you think I would have brought myself here, with my brother, and no escort had I ordered such attacks? Do you think me so stupid?" The weapon never wavered, always pointed directly towards the Siren.
  181.
  182. "In what world would I do that? Would I ally myself with pirates, but have the genius brainwave to attack you AND ally you?"
  183. (Vales Grimmore)
  184. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  185. Varceal Vartuul says, "That is the reason - that I am letting you speak.. is because I do find it odd..- however."
  186. Vales Grimmore says, "It was actually something I was going to bring up. Does the name Light Suzu matter? He came to my manor, yelling about exactly such an attack."
  187. Brynhildr was pretty quiet for the most part, but when Maertock pipes up about a lack of meats and other such riches? The young Drakan cranes her head over towards the door where Braga stands idle.
  188.
  189. "Guess if you wanted a meal bad enough, they'd ask him to go fetch it, but-..." Things appeared to be taking a rather grim turn as accusations were thrown one way and then another.
  190.
  191. This wasn't her place to chip in, either. That last murmur of hers to the big ol' shark fella's the last peep out of her, for the shouting and chair tipping had already started.
  192.
  193. And she for one didn't want to be in the way just yet when things started getting thrown.
  194. (Brynhildr)
  195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  196.
  197. Vales Grimmore asks, "If I was against you, set on extermination, would I have given him over a thousand coins and sent him well and safely on his way?"
  198. [23:12] The earlier parts of the conversation were a mystery to her, so all she could do was try to glean what was going on based on the words exchanged. So it would seem this meeting was about a proposed alliance of sorts?
  199.
  200. The air would have to be cleared first, but it was nice to have talks be about potential allies rather than more enemies. Interlacing her fingers on the table, she leaned forward to rest her head atop her hands.
  201. (Minerva)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. As Braga stood guard, he would come to hear mention about a few particular things. Upon hearing them he rose a brow and was reminded of a certain encounter at the base of the mountain with Elder Azar. It had slipped his mind to bring it to the attention of the Dragon lords, he had assumed that the Elder had but if he didn't. It would've been best he do so in the case any sudden decisions are made.
  205.
  206. Though for now, Braga simply stood there, observing them all keenly. He noticed Byrnhildr make mention to him and in reaction Braga simply rose a brow in disbelief.
  207.
  208. "I'm here to tend to no Foreigner's needs Brynhildr."
  209.
  210. If those Foreigners thought that he was going to fetch anything for them they were sorely mistaken. After all, he was a proud fireblooded warrior, carrying the blessing of ryujin in his veins. He wasn't a servant for those undeserving of even being in this blessed sanctuary of worship and praise to the Divine.
  211.
  212.
  213. (Braga)
  214. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  215.
  216. Maertock would appear to be tickled pink by all the chaotic discourse, taking an idle dreg from his bottle of rum as he clicked his rows of serrated teeth together in amusement. He did love it when things got a bit heated; Siren Beach wasn't famous for its resort after all.
  217.
  218. "You're right. We are filth, scum, vagabonds, criminals, fiends, all of the above really. We reave the seas to take as we see fit, and give nothing back as long as we can. This is the way of the high seas, the lawless flowing frontier."
  219.
  220. The captain of the Deep Company would scan the meeting table once more as he chuckled with amusement, tapping his chin mirthfully as he continued to enjoy his beverage.
  221.
  222. "But we live free, and we've got nothing to hide. I ain't skulking behind fancy words and pretense, I live every inch of my dialogue."
  223.
  224. Maertock would offer a wink to the meeting's gathered spokesmen.
  225.
  226. "And as the least trustworthy person here, I have no reason to lie. It's odd telling the truth without profit, but I do like a bit of chaos."
  227.
  228. That he did.
  229. (Maertock Reave)
  230. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  231.
  232. Brynhildr says, "I said if Varceal willed it."
  233. Braga says, "...That, hrmm."
  234. Raphael crossed his arms over his chest and took in a sharp breath, looking between everyone involved. The spear was pointed at the Sirenian and almost immediately does his eyes narrow. No one had drawn weapons, nor thrown hostilities- Yet for the life of him he couldn't figure why the Grimmore's had gone to such immediate lengths for violence.
  235.
  236. The word filth catches him off guard, and every other aggression filled the room. A breath is taken in - And though he didn't throw in his two cents, it wasn't his place to, he had many doubts about the entire situation.
  237.
  238. Two sides- Which was lying, who was truthful?
  239. (Raphael Vance)
  240. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  241.
  242. A very conflicted look formed on the young Drakanite's face as he couldn't quite respond to that.
  243. (Braga)
  244. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  245.
  246. From all he'd gathered so far during his time roaming right up until his capture, he knew that the Pirates, unsure if these were the right ones.. had attacked the dragonslayers. Dragonslayers that defended Achyon against the Moxtli invasion. Where did the Grimmore's fit into this situation?
  247.
  248. He took some time to try and think back to any other ramblings the Dragonslayers had mentioned. Perhaps he'd find out more remaining silent. The drakenite looked to Brynhildr and then to Braga shaking his head ever so slightly.
  249.
  250. The boy was clearly a warrior, not a butler.
  251. (Dezmond Graves)
  252. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  253.
  254. Varceal speaks, perhaps illustrating their odds better than no other could've at the time. One that represents not only their distaste for being hunted and targeted by thirds, but a general disenamourment with their loose, manipulative swaying. The honeyed words, the contradicting, ankle-poking creation of tension in places where there would otherwise be naught.
  255.
  256. And, with the aloof, havoc inciting siren mercenary leader giving a hint proper of their intent now unveiled - rubbed in their faces without remorse - Orodyn, the golden dragon of the temple, comes to a proper confrontative stance, finally allowed to let a piece of his zealous drive loose yet again.
  257.
  258. A clawed hand that violently slams against the surface of the meeting room's table cuts discourse and explanation short. It's resonant thud, implacable, anticipating the devoted Vartuul's relentless response. Lannis' claim, contradictory, is brought to light.
  259.
  260. "You lie."
  261.
  262. Fangs flashed with the gesture, as those slitted amethyst eyes brace around the wayward nobles.
  263.
  264. "For you have claimed your association to Achyon to be such already. Do you truly expect us to believe those godless heretics intend to forge a friendship proper?!
  265.
  266. That they'd not claw through primordial, divine and star alike, bend them into no more than an additional set of instruments to exploit?
  267.
  268. Their way is one of deceit - it's always been such! The only reason they've ever set afoot Essharan soil was through a backroom deal! Nay more!"
  269.
  270. Air distorts with Orodyn's huff, for the heat that begins to exuberate from his tense, focused and verbose maw is none other than that of his searing dragon's breath beginning to take shape proper. His figure would straighten, yet that gallant posture seems purposely curled forwards as a threat.
  271.
  272. To contest the weapon pointed at the siren comes Orodyn's own mythril saber.
  273.
  274. "That we do indeed, Grimmore. You may have overestimated the sway of your sweetened words - the promise of the conquer... but we are immune to such dishonor!"
  275.
  276. Such was the way of things.
  277. (Orodyn Vartuul)
  278. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  279.
  280. Ouranos's eyes would immediately jot over to Vales. Quickly the drakinite would stand on the chair, and then hop right onto the table. His eyes immediately glow with light.
  281.
  282. There would be no fighting in this meeting.
  283.
  284. His spear would be drawn and readied right towards the Grimmore, mana would begin to surround the tip of it, his spirit grew and it would spread across his body. He had fought today, and he would fight again if necessary.
  285.
  286. "YOU! SHORT TEMPERED MIDGET!"
  287.
  288. "Sit down now, there will be no fighting in this meeting, less you wish to meet the wrath of the dragon blooded. If you have a quarrel arrange a duel."
  289.
  290. "But I shall not let you bloody this holy room over a needless squabble."
  291. (Ouranos Origen)
  292. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  293.
  294. Dezmond Graves says, ". . ."
  295. Simply observing Ouranos leaping onto the table had given him a migraine. The drakenite looked to the Dragonlords and then to his injured arms. If action was needed, he'd likely remain on the sidelines..
  296.
  297. There were more than enough people here to calm one teen.
  298.
  299. Deciding to see how they reacted first seemed like the best option. For now, he waits to read the room.
  300. (Dezmond Graves)
  301. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  302.
  303. The dragoness sighed, hardly surprised that tensions in the air were running high. Beside her, Vales' body was aglow with celestial energies, his weapon brandished and leveled in Maertock's direction.
  304.
  305. "You will conduct yourself accordingly in our temple." she hissed, a scaled hand reaching out try and force the tip of Vales' spear to lower. "You are guests here, and if you wish to spill blood it won't be inside these halls."
  306.
  307. A steely glare was leveled towards Ouranos as well. This meeting would not be allowed to descend into chaos so long as Minerva was here, damn it!
  308.
  309. "Return to your seat at once." Her tone left little in the way of room for them to protest. "This meeting is getting out of hand. All of us should take a step back and compose ourselves. Hurling accusations back and forth serves no purpose, and it's starting to give me a headache."
  310.
  311. Or was that her hang over? She couldn't be sure anymore.
  312. (Minerva)
  313. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  314.
  315. Varceal was still calm - even if they did come to blows he wouldn't be surprised - however .. he was still one of the people in charge here.. and if there was to be a battle - that would be alright in his eyes as long as it is honorable.
  316.
  317. "Ahem.." he coughed as the three would start to bare arms at eachother. "It is our way to settle our differences in battle - but I was hoping that we could continue our..- intermission here however if it's a battle.. you seek."
  318.
  319. He gets - up and starts to walk towards the exit. "It will not be in my temple.. - and should you continue your disrespect.. I will do what I must.." His flames lurch beneath him and engulf him whole- as it spirals wings would form and expand extinguishing the flames..
  320.
  321. "If you are to fight.. so be it- but should you continue your action.. right here and right now.. I will be forced to fight my self - and I assure you... it is something you don't want."
  322.
  323.
  324. "So we will do it like this - I believe my brother oro - is trying to defend the Sirainian.. - and you want to attack him, you can have your bout.. but outside..- and if you want lannis we can continue our talk while whist is happening and I will give you my final thoughts..- and we can come to either a agreement or a disagreement."
  325.
  326. - And then the state of Garljing's coat shall be announced shortly after for all to see.. where the kin of dragons stand.
  327. (Varceal Vartuul)
  328. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  329.
  330. Enough.
  331.
  332. Violence would gain them nothing, he more than any other understood such a simple fact. Raising from his seat as hands came slamming against this table beneath him, weapons and dishonor were all which surrounded this young and impressionable noble. Even his own sibling so quick to violence had remained brought in by those words.
  333.
  334. "Enough, Vales!"
  335.
  336. His voice dared echo throughout these halls as a heaving breath was drawn inwards. Shaking his head from side to side, his first focus would be placed upon Their Lorekeeper. One who believed his words naught more than lies, one who sought to undermine his voice in this meeting of powers.
  337.
  338. "Think, Lorekeeper. Ask yourself, what sense could be made from sending attackers to those we seek to forge ties with? Why do you so vehemently trust those which assaulted your men? Those very men who we had given refuge and shown naught less than utmost kindness towards?"
  339.
  340. Shaking his head once more, they were surrounded by contradictions which they had refused to see. He could not speak on behalf of Achyon - Though his family name would not be smeared and tainted by a pirate.
  341.
  342. "You all need compose yourselves. We came for peace, not blood. Whatever transgressions we may have with these Sirenians? Such can be handled outside of these halls. We are guests, Vales."
  343.
  344. Once more scolding his brother - Such a look of intense malice now shifted unto this man which had ever been superior. He was well in territory of which only Lannis had known.
  345.
  346. "... I can not speak for Achyon. I am stating what that of Luca Pyr Docro has told - He wishes to meet and nothing more. I told him such had been willing as your own Dragon Lord described." -
  347.
  348. Silenced by The Dragon Lord, an audible click leaving his tongue.
  349.
  350. "I... Only ask whilst they battle. You think of all I have beensaying, I come for that same peace I first spoke of. Nothing has changed, naught more than... The hands of others tainting this beautiful world my Crimson star has seen."
  351.
  352. They needed these Drakanites.
  353.
  354. Servants of their great Wyrm.
  355. (Lannis Grimmore)
  356. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  357.
  358. "AND I WILL NOT HAVE MY NAME SLANDERED!" Vales bellowed right back, fury clear in his voice and words, magic erupting from his form. The odds didn't matter. Or, at least, they didn't for a long beat, until others began to intervene.
  359.
  360. There was a pause of resistance against Minerva's hand before he allowed the blazing spear to be lowered. With an extreme force of will, Vales spoke in an even tone, though his body practically trembled with the rage. "I will not have lies spoken about me or my family, and if I must kill every last Sirenian who says them to prove it, then I will stack their heads on your doorstep until the ocean runs red."
  361.
  362. Tense like a bowstring, ready to snap, the Grimmore restrained himself for the moment. "If I must start with this one, then I will. If you wish to battle me to protect him, then I will meet that as well." Let Lannis negotiate, let him calm.
  363.
  364. "If it is yourwish, I will have my name cleaned in his blood outside your sacred halls, but I will do so nonetheless."
  365. (Vales Grimmore)
  366. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  367.
  368. Raphael took in a deep breath and tilted his head, looking over to Varceal and Orodyn once more. The shouting- Yelling- All of it was normal to him. After all, he was literally a Drakanite. They were raised in this kind of thing, bullheaded as they all were.
  369.
  370. Prone to yelling, fits of anger. The less tempered of their race were just like Vales. Righteous fury, one might call it. The Drakanite takes a breath, closing his eyes afterwards. Who was he to side with?
  371.
  372. Choices, choices.
  373. (Raphael Vance)
  374. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  375.
  376. [23:39] Leaning away from the wall the Drakenite moves to head toward the stairs. It was always a sight to see Orodyn do battle. He'd never seen Vales fight before, but if memory served him right... He did see him in a cave and question him about siren pirates once before.
  377.
  378. It was coming back to him now.
  379.
  380. He moved along waiting for others to come along as they would all likely want to observe the battle of course. Such fiery blooded individuals in the heat of things made these kinds of discussions breathe, he could actually remain awake when it wasn't about morals and politics.
  381. (Dezmond Graves)
  382. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  383.
  384. [23:40] Maertock would snort with laughter at the nobility foaming from the mouth, taking a light swig from his bottle of rum as he yawned and leaned back in his chair. He appeared to be taking the frothing violence of the opposing party about as seriously as a sideshow. The Sirenian was unphased.
  385.
  386. "Wouldn't you need to fight yourself by that logic since it's you speaking lies about your family?"
  387.
  388. The captain of the Deep Company would bark out in laughter, slapping his broad, sinewed chest as the marauder remained comfortably in his seat, unmoved by the excitable gesture as he flashed a toothy grin.
  389.
  390. "Sounds like you wouldn't get so mad about it if it wasn't true. It happens, I feel for ya."
  391.
  392. Maertock would take another swig from his bottle of rum.
  393.
  394. "Make an appointment with my secretary. I can't find the time in the day for every hot headed smoothskin. I'm gonna sit right here and enjoy my rum, and you're gonna like it."
  395. (Maertock Reave)
  396. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  397.
  398. [23:40] Braga simply continued to play the role of spectator. Upon seeing things spiral into chaos. He wouldn't make any definite actions as yet. Though the more he listened, the more he couldn't help but share a few pieces of information. Even if they had already heard it, he had to at least share such knowledge.
  399.
  400. It seems that a decision that would very well affect all members of Garljing's coat was very well going to take place soon. As such, the young Drakanite would take a step forward. He wasn't too knowledgeable in the ways of politics and the like but should it pertain to battle and strategy. That was different. This, was a strategic move. A bit of a daring one, considering that his position Braga would take a few steps forward to address all there.
  401.
  402. "If that's the case. I suggest you both have an honor duel. Such is the way of the Fireblooded. Settle your disputes in the battlefield and leave it there." He'd then take a knee as he began to address the leaders.
  403.
  404. "Also, Dragonlords, my kin. I need to part a important piece of information before you make any decision. I believe it to be rather important and well... relevant. However, as directed by Elder Azar, this is something I will only speak with the Dragonlords with. As her his request."
  405. (Braga)
  406. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  407.
  408. Vales Grimmore says, "I'm more than happy to settle this with an honor duel. In fact, I'd be absolutely thrilled."
  409. Lannis Grimmore says, "... He who slanders our family name, even now? I would be elated to see him fall."
  410. Lannis Grimmore says, "Vales has already struck at his people for these same acts before."
  411. Lannis Grimmore says, "The moment Light was said to have been attacked? It was my brother who went to handle this... Captains lackies."
  412. Ouranos Origen asks, "You, Captain Gill, are you going to accept their challenge?"
  413. Maertock Reave says, "Captain Reave, and sure. Set up a date and time. We'll meet and get real intimate."
  414. Lannis Grimmore says, "Here, now."
  415. Vales Grimmore says, "We can do it right outside their walls. I'm ready."
  416. Maertock would yawn audibly.
  417. (Maertock Reave)
  418. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  419.
  420. Maertock Reave says, "I ain't feel like it."
  421. Orodyn Vartuul asks, "So that you may flee in equal dishonor, were you to be brought to your knees?"
  422. Lannis Grimmore says, "You act as though my house has done anything to your people, we are ever innocent."
  423. Vales Grimmore says, "- You misunderstand."
  424. Vales Grimmore says, "I did not mean, outside your confines. I meant, outside these, as you've called them, sacred halls."
  425. Orodyn Vartuul says, "Aligning with Achyon is enough ill deed to me, maroon one."
  426. Lannis Grimmore says, "The people of Achyon seek to undo whatever past has caused you disdain. It is only up to you for the same peace to be reached."
  427. Orodyn Vartuul asks, "So be it - Siren, will you heed to their challenge?"
  428. Vales Grimmore says, "If you have an arena, I will do battle in it. Name a place."
  429. Orodyn Vartuul exclaims, "THEY have caused our disdain!"
  430. Orodyn Vartuul says, "We've warred him for the better part of a decade."
  431. Maertock Reave says, "Yeah, as I said. Set a time and date, my crew and I will be there."
  432. Lannis Grimmore says, "I can not speak on behalf of Achyon, Lorekeeper."
  433. Lannis Grimmore says, "--"
  434. Lannis Grimmore asks, "Your crew?"
  435. Orodyn Vartuul says, "You JUST have."
  436. Raphael leaned forward, putting his elbows on the table before him. He'd tab his chin lightly, looking to Brynhildr before passing some choice words. he wanted to know her thoughts on the matter - Hopefully without touching the situation at hand. Best to handle molten metal carefully, and all that.
  437.
  438. Don't tamper with it until it's ready.
  439.
  440. His eyes half-lid.
  441. (Raphael Vance)
  442. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  443. Maertock Reave asks, "Yes, or do you just want your side to have cheerleaders?"
  444. Maertock Reave says, "So selfish."
  445. Lannis Grimmore says, "I am speaking only on what I have been told, what I have been told? Is peace. I know little of the internal strife."
  446. Orodyn Vartuul says, "Then your words are as weightless as I thought them to be."
  447. Lannis Grimmore says, "Our intentions have ever been the same, since the beginning of when we first spoke."
  448. Lannis Grimmore says, "... You would let someone who attacked your men undo such a desire. I am uncertain as to why."
  449. Minerva asks, "Braga, what tidings do you have?"
  450. Lannis Grimmore says, "One who will not take the path of honor, against my brother."
  451. Vales Grimmore says, "You question my honor with my mere choice of words, Lorekeeper, but say nothing when he mentions bringing an entire crew to surely assist him in his battle."
  452. Quiet even still, Brynhildr didn't intend to pipe back up until she'd otherwise been ordered to do something. But when Raphael offers that quiet whisper? She leans to the side, muttering back in kind beneath her breath.
  453. (Brynhildr)
  454. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  455.
  456. Orodyn Vartuul says, "Tis nay something we'd allow."
  457. Maertock Reave says, "We've never questioned whether us PIRATES are honorable."
  458. Lannis Grimmore says, "Dragon Lord. I believe it best if you handle this situation, these are... Your halls."
  459. Vales Grimmore says, "I have said a time, and a place. In wherever you Fireblooded do battle, right now."
  460. Maertock Reave says, "Yes, and I said fuck off, you can wait pretty boy."
  461. Maertock Reave says, "Sounds like a personal problem."
  462. Vales Grimmore says, "And you question me."
  463. Minerva says, "..."
  464. Orodyn Vartuul says, "Pirate - "
  465. Varceal Vartuul says, "I keep forgeting that maybe all of you - or maybe not are children... so Heated are the flames in your heart.. barely able to calm your nerves to seek the time to listen to elders."
  466. Maertock Reave says, "I ain't like doing anything for someone else's satisfaction."
  467. Dezmond Graves asks, "Is he injured or does he seriously want cheerleaders?"
  468. Maertock Reave says, "So making him wait? That's funny."
  469. Dezmond Graves says, "Ah, that would do it."
  470. Vales Grimmore says, "I come here in good faith."
  471. Maertock Reave says, "But yes also..."
  472. Vales Grimmore says, "To meet you with on a matter of an alliance. Instead I have my name slandered, and the one who does it is in front of me, and denies my right to deal with it."
  473. Vales Grimmore says, "And you listen to the pirate."
  474. Maertock would gesture his wounded leg, snorting with laughter.
  475. (Maertock Reave)
  476. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  477.
  478. Vales Grimmore says, "That sounds like a personal problem."
  479. Varceal Vartuul says, "Have I said that.."
  480. Vales Grimmore says, "My apologies, Dragonlord."
  481. "... All I have seen are the words of a cut throat pirate. One seeped in lies who knows naught of my families intentions." His head shook from side to side, none of this had made any sense to him at all.
  482.
  483. Dishonor over the voice of nobility and virtue.
  484.
  485. "I... Wish to heed your words, Dragon Lord. So we may be done with these accusations which cause only strife, fueled by lies and malice."
  486. (Lannis Grimmore)
  487. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  488.
  489. Vales Grimmore says, "I did not mean those words towards you."
  490. Varceal Vartuul says, "...- Listen.. closely.."
  491. That was a relief he figured, he did want to see a battle but now held some confusion as to why the pirate wouldn't want to pummel the man whose supposedly lying.
  492.
  493. Wouldn't it be best to get even?
  494.
  495. He shrugs, looking to Braga wondering what he had to say. He needed to check on one more thing, he'd have to ask someone later if a specific thing was mentioned.
  496.
  497. "Just to be clear, no battle?"
  498.
  499. He says off to the side, deciding to prop himself back up against the wall.
  500. (Dezmond Graves)
  501. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  502.
  503. Maertock Reave says, "We can make a whole event of it, sounds fun to me."
  504. Her rage was slowly simmering within her, threatening to spill over. Sw it would seem there would not be any peace reached so long as things allowed to carry on as they were.
  505.
  506. "You all keep saying Dragon lord, but you fail to realize something. Know that you are in the presence of two Lords, rather than just one." she declared, slowly rising from her seat.
  507.
  508. "If peace cannot be reached today with everyone present, perhaps meeting separately when tempers have been allowed to cool would be beneficial?" she said quietly, not banging on the table as some of the others had opted to.
  509.
  510. "Otherwise you can abandon any ideas of peace at all and tear each other apart, but make your decisions quickly. And quietly. My patience has worn thin of this bickering back and forth."
  511. (Minerva)
  512. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  513.
  514. Lannis Grimmore says, "Oh."
  515. Lannis Grimmore says, "I-"
  516. Lannis Grimmore says, "Wasn't informed..."
  517. Vales frowns.
  518. (Vales Grimmore)
  519. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  520.
  521. Vales Grimmore says, "Nor was I."
  522. Vales Grimmore says, "My apologies."
  523. Minerva says, "I presumed as much."
  524. Minerva says, "I did not introduce myself, however so the fault for that is mine."
  525. Minerva says, "Braga. Write down what you wanted to speak with me about, please. Print two copies."
  526. Raphael huffed lightly and returned the whisper in kind, eyes skirting over to Maertock for a time. Though everyone was deferring to Varceal, he understood that Minerva also held the seat of Dragonlord. Something that was revealed when her anger boiled on over.
  527.
  528. For now, the Drakanite folded his hands and yawned softly.
  529. (Raphael Vance)
  530. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  531.
  532. Minerva says, "One for Varceal and myself."
  533. Braga says, "I don't really have any paper..."
  534. Minerva says, "So fetch some."
  535. Placing his hands on the table he would look to oro - his nerves are also flared during these matters and although the accusations are still in the air he only brought - what was brought to him - it was serious accusations.
  536.
  537. But it mattered little to what was to happen, If they do not speak for achyon - then they will speak for themselves - he could respect their claim on not allying with the dragonslayers - although He still would question why they would try to pin them against the tribes - one could only think that they used a white lie to gain his own favor - unrespectable but somewhat understandable.
  538.
  539. "I have my own problems - and achyon is starting to get in the way - if you seek to remain allies with them I will not blame you - due to your cause.. so I will give you this."
  540.
  541.
  542. He would look to Minerva - to see if she agrees with his proposal. "Admitably we have a lot to think about - one dragonlord being at bay I imagine it is up for alls to come to a single conlusion- should we have our differences it will be settle in a battle amongst eachother that is how we decide things here..- but for now you will have the same agreement as the others who came to our door step - a neutral propsition of simply not attackiing one another."
  543.
  544. He said as he continued to stare at his fellow dragonlord. "With this being said I doubt that would be for long if your allies continue to work with the dragonslayers in which case it will be between you to to figure out what is to happen before it is too late- haave your war withouut us and leave us to our own with them, but should they be used in a battle against the tribe expect us to be there to remove them for the tribe- not because we are at war with you but because our mortal enemy is fighting on your side and we will have these invaders gain no quarters."
  545.
  546. It wasn't simple - but it was the same agreement that they would have with anyone who wasn't currently in there way - and it gave them time both to think about the conversation they had and time to deal with the only opposition they currently know.
  547. (Varceal Vartuul)
  548. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  549.
  550. Braga says, "Gonna have to ask you to leave mate. "
  551. Braga says, "Follow me. "
  552. Minerva says, "I have no objections to that proposal."
  553. The edges of his nostrils curl once more.
  554.
  555. "You stand your ground far too eagerly, for someone who's defected the soil they'd stepped on to ally with the likes of the Empire." It rings off as meditative, for the time being, as if not all stakes had been weighed. Yet it stops Orodyn not in taking a more thorough stance proper.
  556.
  557. "Your challenge has been declined by the depth dweller.
  558.
  559. But make no mistake - your allegiances lie obscured still.
  560.
  561. He's unlike us, but no different than what he claims himself to be. Whereas you?
  562.
  563. You tread with illness."
  564.
  565. Lady Minerva speaks. Huatl bless her soul. Her words cool as ice. Rain upon once dry earth.
  566.
  567. Yet not enough to hold the holy drakanite against his worse afflictions and most reckless pieces of his anima.
  568.
  569. "Your agenda reeks of backhands and interests. You're no different than the men who once sold Osrona.
  570.
  571. You'd claim the tribesto be allied with Dragonslayers. We've seen their kin squash our predators under their heel instead."
  572.
  573. Ire builds - discord on the verge of loosening its leash.
  574.
  575. "Hits put on our brethren; a desire to antagonize us against appraisers alike - whilst you hold the hands of men who have gods naught, and would prefer to project themselves as one..."
  576.
  577. Claws retract - the younger Vartuul's dissonance with the duo beckons a dispute between his loyalty to the divine five, his oath of bareness, and his sworn sacrifice to his own blood, to heed his brother.
  578.
  579. In this strain alone, Orodyn finds the urge of solace. Winds retract with a grunt.
  580.
  581. "Make no mistake, Grimmore - I speak nay for the Dragonlords, for that I am not.
  582.
  583. Whatever they so choose to reflect upon is theirs only."
  584.
  585. Peering over his shoulder, the son of Sythaeryn scowls.
  586.
  587. "Outside these matters, you'll be no different than my enemy."
  588.
  589. Past the balcony to the temple, he takes flight - abdicating the conversation, before putting his kin in a position nay one would have rathered be in.
  590. (Orodyn Vartuul)
  591. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  592.
  593. Progress, no matter how small?
  594.
  595. Lannis had believed progress was made.
  596.
  597. Such a breath had soon escaped him as tension was ever soon to fade. Though he had remained in neutrality with his name, such was more than what could have ever been asked. Nodding in agreement, those words would not fall upon deaf ears. What was needed now was a final push, one in which could sway the uncertain Fireblooded.
  598.
  599. "I... Thank you for hearing our words, Dragon Lord Varceal. As well as you, Dragon Lord Minerva." His voice followed by a nod towards each. While others about had held both doubts and malice - Those which had lead their people continued to move forwards with clarity in their vision.
  600.
  601. That alone was all he could ask.
  602.
  603. "... I know we can forge a peace between Achyon and your people. I promise, we will not allow any to ruin such a future. Should Dragon Slayers be seeking out those we have allied with? I can assure, our political sway will ever attempt to work in your favor." He would undo whatever ties were being built, strike down whatever attempts at kindness were being made.
  604.
  605. "No slayers of your kin will stand alongside Achyon. I will address these matters myself."
  606.
  607. His gaze once again, shifting to that of The Lorekeeper.
  608.
  609. "... I can not understand your hatred for my clan. I seek peace, I value your blood. Your mind hath been closed by outside forces, such of which I will assure are eradicated."
  610.
  611. His radiant starlight - Fueled by corruption and malice leaking ever outwards.
  612.
  613. In stark opposition with his gentle, calming smile.
  614.
  615. "I have no qualms with your people. See me as your enemy all you so desire, I will bridge this gap which has splintered away so many."
  616.
  617. He needed not an army to do so.
  618.
  619. Nay, naught more than words and actions unto those at the highest level of power.
  620. (Lannis Grimmore)
  621. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  622.
  623. Slowly he wondered if there was a hit put out on them. The pirates only asked one thing. Where he was from, the second he said Theria they pounced. Things were coming together, his long time battling the masses seemed to be pretty relevant here.
  624.
  625. Every corner he turned, another adversary was lying in wait with back up. Yet he always roamed alone. For the time being he takes mental notes to recall them later the next time this came up.
  626.
  627. "Makes sense why I was targeted now." He says plainly.
  628. (Dezmond Graves)
  629. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  630.
  631.
  632. Vales' gaze shifted from Drakan to Drakan, though lingered most often on the Siren. The smugness radiating from the fish only incensed the Grimmore all the more, and he trembled in his rage. But he had allowed rage to blind him once already as of late, and the wounds that had been inflicted still ached.
  633.
  634. "To ensure there are no misunderstandings." He glanced at Orodyn, speaking to interrupt the Drakan before he could depart. "I extend this to every one of you. Spread it as far as you wish. If you have quarrel with me? Settle it." The words came with a deadly calm.
  635.
  636. "Issue your challenge, I shall defend my name against whomever wishes to sully it. Do you have that issue, Lorekeeper? Then I accept your challenge here, and now, or I wish the matter dropped. I cannot speak for the Grimmore of the past, I speak for myself."
  637.
  638. He looked to Minerva and Varceal. "I have no intent to harm your kin. If neutrality is the most you will have, then so be it. I will not be held responsible for further attacks by the solidified filth that calls itself a Siren sitting across from me."
  639.
  640. Finally, his gaze leveled upon Maertock.
  641.
  642. "You have made a dangerous enemy today, fish. Consider it funny, I'm sure you'll laugh about it to your friends. Treasure it. When I next see you, or your kin, I will kill you."
  643. (Vales Grimmore)
  644. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  645.
  646. Vales Grimmore says, "I hope you know the name Leibos. Ask him how he fared against me."
  647. Raphael tapped his fingers on the table, figuring that things were coming to a standstill rather quick. He's careful not to yawn, despite how tired he truly was. The young adult pushes up from his chair, now doing a couple lunges near the door. The Drakanite wanted out of these cramped seats.
  648.
  649. Even so, he still knows his place for the time being. One where he shouldn't talk.
  650. (Raphael Vance)
  651. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  652.
  653. Maertock would bark out in open laughter at the incendiary tone of the Grimmore, his declarations of violence and a blood feud nothing less than music to the fishman's ears. Finally, some action! Well, in comparison to all the rest of the action he generally got into. Still, spicy.
  654.
  655. Taking a firm swig from his bottle of rum, the Captain of the Deep Company would meet Vales' gaze with his own, his icy blue shark's eyes staring the Grimmore down as his fifty one serrated, rowed teeth were splayed in a grin.
  656.
  657. "Why wait til then to laugh, there's a joke here and now."
  658.
  659. Slapping his broad, sinewed chest, the sharkman would recline once more in his seat with a yawn.
  660.
  661. "Join the club, get in line to throw hands with my crew. You caught Leibos on a bad day, sure, he's my vice captain. But you ain't met my first mate."
  662.
  663. A snicker; far less confidence was had when facing the titan of shark muscle that was Maertock's brother Murtock.
  664.
  665. "It's a date pretty boy. Bring your coin with you, there's a fee for wasting my time."
  666. (Maertock Reave)
  667. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  668.
  669. Minerva's teeth ground together, as she slumped back into her seat. There was so much she needed clarified before she could come to any sort of decision, but whom would be best to speak with on these matters?
  670.
  671. "I am not aware enough of the situation and all its nuance to make any sort of an informed opinion just yet, but I will reflect upon the matters raised here by everyone before coming to a decision myself." she stated, hating how ignorant she was in the affairs of other cities. Busy as she'd been with trying to safeguard the temple and its denizens from attack, she hadn't the time for much of anything else.
  672.
  673. "For now I suggest everyone leave, as we have much to consider and cannot do so when tensions are running so high." she declared, gesturing towards the door. "And I use the term suggest, loosely."
  674.
  675. (Minerva)
  676. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  677.
  678. Such had ended without bloodshed.
  679.
  680. Hands which had even been pressed against such a table now sliding back to the sides of Lannis. Tension upon his shoulders, gone in the matter of seconds as no longer had rage been fueling each movement. He who was a noble had a duty to place himself far and above the likes of those which had been so eager to strike.
  681.
  682. There came a heavy sigh, pushed past those slender lips.
  683.
  684. "Thank you once more. I will be... Taking leave with my sibling now." His head dipping in a curt sort of bow towards both Varceal and Minerva alike. Each offered what little could be given before their exit, despite how tense it may have all seemed.
  685.
  686. "Should you ever seek to learn more of this situation or my families side, Dragon Lord Minerva? Our manor is always open to your people."
  687.
  688. With a hooked hand..!
  689.
  690. He would attempt to pull Vales out.
  691.
  692. Hopefully before saying anything else incendiary.
  693. (Lannis Grimmore)
  694. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  695.
  696. Varceal Vartuul says, ".. Now that this is all done I would like some time to talk to my dragonlords about what is to happen so that we can give you our final answer."
  697. [00:25] "I'll cut him in half on my way to you, don't worry." Vales' tone didn't waver an inch. "We'll take our leave." His aura never dissipated, gaze remaining on Maertock for a long moment.
  698.
  699. "As always. If one of you have issue, you need merely tell me." He looked to Varceal and gave a smile. "You say I don't want to see your power. I assure you, you don't want to see mine."
  700.
  701. And unless halted, Vales would depart, jerking his arm away from his brother.
  702. (Vales Grimmore)
  703. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  704.
  705. Lannis Grimmore exclaims, "Gack!"
  706. Ouranos would finally come down from the table and take his seat once more.
  707. (Ouranos Origen)
  708. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  709.
  710. Ouranos Origen says, "Thank the divine..."
  711. Varceal Vartuul says, "Thank you for coming down to speak your mind - my pirate friend , I believe that you hold your words to be true I see no reason to not trust you besides the obvious but I don't believe that you are lying."
  712. Raphael Vance says, "Now that the tension in the air has cleared.."
  713. Brynhildr asks, "Right. They're gone, right?"
  714. Varceal Vartuul says, "I need to collect the ebon wing and make sure all the dragonlords are on the same page before we make a final choice."
  715. Brynhildr says, "Ahem."
  716. Raphael Vance says, "I do believe that screaming and pointing your spear before anyone has given you reason to - Is -"
  717. Raphael Vance asks, ".. Rather suspicious?"
  718. Brynhildr asks, "Weren't they-... sort of friends with those 'slayers'?"
  719. Brynhildr asks, "Did they change their minds when their teeth got rattled?"
  720. Varceal Vartuul says, "They claim they are not - they also claim that achyon will annouce that they are not aswell - it dosen't matter I alone cannot make a choice to put my blade to them - I will not risk all of my people for the ire of one if I do not have to."
  721. Varceal Vartuul says, "This choice will be between all of the dragonlords."
  722. Varceal Vartuul says, "Otherwise this system will not work."
  723. Ouranos Origen says, "All will be revealed with time. I suggest patience for now, allow our dragonlords to meet and come up with our plan."
  724. Ouranos Origen says, "We do not want to lash out like that short-tempered midget."
  725. Maertock would shrug his shoulders lightly, flashing a jagged toothed grin to Varceal as he nodded lightly towards the Dragonlords.
  726.
  727. "There's few more honest bonds than parties who have robbed each other and then buried the hatchet. Besides, I got no rhyme or reason to lie, I'm an outsider on this continent."
  728.
  729. The pirate captain would nod steadily at that.
  730.
  731. "And I assumed it was what I was called here for considering it was my crewman Anne, a former Salis whose house was sworn to the Grimmore, that said it. I back up my crew's word, they have no reason to lie either."
  732.
  733. His tone seemed absolute like the sea.
  734.
  735. "In the end, we're pirates. And if it means I can foil some posh noble's schemes for the chaos of it, more the better. I live for entertainment."
  736. (Maertock Reave)
  737. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  738.
  739. Raphael Vance asks, "Ouranos - Aren't you like.. A gnome?"
  740. Ouranos Origen exclaims, "I am short, yes, but I could look down upon him!"
  741. Ouranos Origen exclaims, "How can one be shorter than me!"
  742. Varceal Vartuul says, "I-"
  743. Varceal Vartuul says, "Don't know."
  744. Ouranos Origen says, "If I am a gnome then he is a... a... a..."
  745. Ouranos Origen says, "Uhh......."
  746. Raphael Vance says, "Well, I suppose if anyone could hop on a table and call it truth - We'd all be giants."
  747. Maertock Reave says, "Quite so."
  748. Maertock Reave says, "Sides, it's hardly as if my crew's been sneaky about our business."
  749. Varceal Vartuul says, "If the dragonlords decide that we are not going to keep things neutral with them."
  750. Varceal Vartuul says, "Then we will be there should they attack your ship."
  751. Maertock Reave says, "You're welcome to the party, their hair won't be all that's red when my boys and I are done with'm."
  752. Maertock Reave says, "He ain't met Murtock."
  753. Raphael throws his hands up in a mighty shrug, looking over to Maertock for the time. He'd walk over and stand beside the Siren. "For what it's worth, I appreciate a pirate-bandit who's more than willing to spit his toxic truth. Better that than a conniving liar seeking to cash in trust, not coin."
  754.
  755. The Drakanite closed his eyes.
  756.
  757. "Right - So I have a question, Varceal. Minerva. What is your stance for the tribes? Personally, with Achyon and the Grimmores vying for our wings and strength, we'll need to pick a side soon.
  758.
  759. No?"
  760. (Raphael Vance)
  761. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  762.
  763. "Your brother hand you that paper I had of Dragonslayer sightings?" He says to Maertock.
  764.
  765. "More of a personal angle for me here but, who exactly where you lot paid to make.. hits on? I came a little late. I'm just trying to jog my memory since I have met your brother and lost to him."
  766.
  767. He wanted a tad more information. Just to be sure of what was being said here. He moved closer to show his interest to the captain.
  768. (Dezmond Graves)
  769. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  770.
  771. Raphael Vance says, "..."
  772. Maertock Reave says, "Oh yeah, I remember that! Man I was drunk."
  773. Minerva says, "The tribes? I haven't met with them so I can't say."
  774. Dezmond Graves says, "Been held captive for some time so forgive me for not being in the loop."
  775. Minerva says, "I've been busy with dealing with these slayers, or trying to."
  776. Minerva says, "I haven't had time for much else."
  777. "Now, my kin." Ouranos would take a deep breath to calm himself within his seat. His spirit had been directed towards the Grimmore, he had no quarrel with anyone else in the room.
  778.
  779. "While I may be out of place - I suggest we leaving the meeting chambers."
  780.
  781. "The Dragon Lords are going to meet soon, and we have no place to sit in on that meeting. I suggest we all respite for the upcoming days and await for our honorable leaders to reach their verdict."
  782.
  783. His head would slowly pan around the room, stopping on both Minerva and Varceal to see if that was the right course of action.
  784. (Ouranos Origen)
  785. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  786.
  787. Maertock would snort with laughter as he recalled the robbery of the Fireblooded in the depths of the mines. That day had been a blend of alcoholic fervor and the midst of a glorious blood feud before his crew had buried the hatchet with the Fireblooded.
  788.
  789. It was good to be free.
  790.
  791. "Just about every party there is has shown interest at one point or another. Achyon offered metal girls and metal guns, Osrona offered coin, the tribes offered drugs, hell, the Dragonslayers even seemed interested in our services; though they're practically bandits in their own right."
  792.
  793. Competition in criminality was unacceptable to Maertock. There was only room for one crew of vandals on this continent gods dammit.
  794.
  795. "But most folks we just rob for the sake of robbing. It builds character."
  796. (Maertock Reave)
  797. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  798.
  799. The Drakanite leaned against the wall as he overheard Minerva's reply. To that, he'd nod his head. So busy with the fabled, so-called 'dragon slayers' that they had hardly the time for anything else. He'd let his finger glide across his steel sword, tilting his head to the side.
  800.
  801. ".. What an exhausting day."
  802. (Raphael Vance)
  803. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  804.
  805. Brynhildr had a lot of feelings on the matter-- strong feelings, at that! But it wasn't her place to speak them, and with Raphael having made his move to stand, Brynhildr followed in kind.
  806.
  807. "Well, Raphael. If you've no questions of your own to ask, we should head off and-... make use of ourselves, I suppose." And train. Or travel. Or hunt for resources. There was probably plenty they could do, if they really wanted to do something.
  808.
  809. "Lest you want to stand idle and listen some more."
  810. (Brynhildr)
  811. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  812.
  813. Raphael Vance asks, "And what would be so wrong with that?"
  814. Considering she had voiced as much several minutes prior, Minerva opted to keep quiet in regards to that. One leg crossed over the other, the dragoness relieved that the pain from her earlier injury was gone for the most part.
  815.
  816. In truth she found Maertock insufferable; she did not enjoy the company of people with neither tact nor scruples. However there were more than her personal feelings to consider here, she had to think of what would be best for the temple as a whole rather than simply herself.
  817.
  818. Such would separate a good leader from a great one, and that is what she aspired to be. If she could not command the field through force of arms, she would find other ways to apply herself.
  819.
  820. "I am grateful to have been brought in on this meeting, but I admittedly wish I wasn't still drunk when I came in here. My head's pounding and the shouting really didn't do any favors." she groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose between two fingers.
  821. (Minerva)
  822. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  823.
  824. ] Raphael Vance says, "Everyone has a comment to make, I'm sure."
  825. Maertock Reave says, "I do love to put on a show."
  826. Nodding he takes a long pull from his joint, observing the defining traits of the Siren. He listened in and then decided on where he'd find his challenge here.
  827.
  828. He was unfit for combat, and he knew that now. Yet, using his memory and asking choice questions perhaps he could gather more than they wanted to say. It was a reach, but he'd try for it.
  829.
  830. "Now, that day.. I'm certain you weren't just robbing for the hel of it. Before I came to the blockade... You were all allowing citizens of Achyon to pass. The only ones who your brother specifically mentioned were Fireblooded or Osronans.
  831.
  832. I find some merit in that, maybe they were lying.
  833.
  834. But.. maybe I remember incorrectly. You say you were just robbing for the hel of it after all. Perhaps I was in the wrong place at the wrong time for your... fun."
  835.
  836. He was connecting some dots for himself. Maybe he could piece something together later with or without the captains true answer.
  837. (Dezmond Graves)
  838. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  839.
  840. Varceal Vartuul says, "Drink some water and clear your mind.."
  841. Minerva says, "I've sobered since being here, I can assure you of that."
  842. Varceal Vartuul says, "Good.. we will have oro be Ebons replacement for this meeting since we need to reach a choice now that all neighborhood factions have approached."
  843. Maertock would snort with amusement at Dezmond's recollection of the matter, fondly clicking his teeth together as he recalled the robbery before with sudden remembrance, he'd begin to bark out with laughter even further as he cackled and wheezed.
  844.
  845. "You mean the old lady with the metal arm my brother was flirting with? Boy, you got used to make him look good in front of a lady. I apologize."
  846.
  847. The captain wasn't that sorry, but a little bit. It was never fun to get robbed over something so petty.
  848.
  849. "The only reason he didn't want to rob her is cause he wanted to....rob her, ya dig? Not my type, but he is a former Atlantean model after all."
  850. (Maertock Reave)
