Reasoning: Fennle is constantly left without any food, and people demanding pay for food. She's been injured multiple times from a lack of food, and even when she gets food, it's usually from stealing it off the table. She needed her own source of nourishment, even if it wasn't the -best- source, she was a female, and we all know those belong in the kitchen.

Besides, if people wanted to exploit her for money for her cooking, she'd do the same thing, profit could be made, and her own belly may be full (of trash but whatever). There was a kitchen that anyone could get it, plenty of ingredients, she'd just have to throw them together and hope something works (Probably gonna make a food monster).
