One Year

Time is a bit of a funny thing, isn't it?
Simultaneously, it's a slog as the hours feel like an eternity, but at the same time it feels like months go by in the blink of an eye.
A lot can and will happen in a year, and that year will vanish before you know it. A duo clad in black and white taught me that more than anyone else could have.

The peaks have grown higher, and the valleys even deeper. Life has taken every high and low to an even bigger extreme.

Long ago, people thought that the limits in what we could reach had been met. Everyone thought we had reached the maximum.
In 2018, someone proved the world wrong, breaking the boundaries of what we thought possible. She opened the path to a whole new journey, many of which still call absurd to this day.

I constantly tell myself that I've reached the final destination of the journey. The summit of my experience and skill. I couldn't go any higher. I had very little faith that I would be able to reach the stars.

With very little confidence, I took a step forward, expecting to fall a great height.
Instead, I found that new path. Another one I didn't know I was seeking.
I broke that boundary. I went beyond what I thought was possible for myself.

One year later, here I am, looking back at where I came from. What a long way I've come indeed.

The end of one journey always begets another one, whether it follows the trajectory you anticipate or not.
As you continue your own path, you'll eventually look back and realize that you've come a much longer way than you think.

You'll think you've reached the top, but in reality you just need to find the courage to break that boundary.
