Welcome to the Edge of Chaos beta.

Upon receiving a beta key you should download the client installer. Once installed you can create an account from the login screen. Once you have created an account, you should activate it by entering your beta key and account name into the following website:

Beta keys will be sent out via email to lucky individuals. These emails will be taken from the previous servers database and from the forums. Beta keys will also be given away in give-aways and such as time goes on.

Before you run the installer: delete 'WoW Directory\data\locale\backup-locale.mpq' if it exists. For example: 'WoW\Data\enGB\backup-enGB.mpq'.

The installer requires you to have a 3.3.5a (12340) WoW client. All you need to do is drag and drop the installer into the WoW directory and then to run it. Upon installation the client will start up and you can either create a new account or login to an existing one. The login will fail unless your account is beta activated. Only the Windows operating system is currently supported.

Please note the installer can take a minute to open due to it verifying that the download is not corrupt.

To uninstall the Edge of Chaos patch, navigate to your WoW directory and go into the 'Data' folder. Delete patch-4.MPQ. You will also need to restore your WoW executable to the original version, which can be found here:
