BACKGROUND |
× Born & raised in California, Mia is the typical American girl. That’s what she says but many people find her weird.
× Because of that she had minor difficulties in finding the right company. Many people used her and then kicked her out of their lives.
× Because of her good and super friendly personality Mia was used but she didn’t know or understand what was going on. Unfortunately for her, her parents saw it. They are really protective over her, so they decided to move and start all over. A new start where their kid won’t be bullied and their newborn baby will grow with happy family.
× When Mia was 6-7 years old her family moved to another city. Or more like, another country. They moved where Bao’s mother lives— Hong Kong.
× It was a bit hard for Mia. She never learned Mandarin or Cantonese, so she didn’t understand what the kids were saying to her when they first moved and she was kind of sad about it. Her parents knew it was hard for her, so they made her go to International School. There she got used to the language and learned for the first three years Mandarin and the next three Cantonese. She did go to English classes because she was still a kid and was studying in English school after all, but they were like three lessons a week. While the Cantonese/Mandarin lesson were three lessons a day.
× Mia eventually got used to the life there and liked it. She won some real friends along with some idiots who tried to take her down again. Haha, of course, her parents are there and they would never let any piece of trash hurt their little girl.
× When she graduated, Mia left home and started looking for a new home.    She had this good friend— who am I lying to? They were like sisters, she was the only person who become friends with her when her family first moved. So this friend is Korean and after graduating she went back to her motherland. Mia told her that she’s searching somewhere to go, because she wanted to live alone and be independent instead living with her parents forever. And this friend casually told her “Come here. I’m living alone right now and my apartment is quite specious for one person, so...”. Mia didn’t think twice and agreed. She started preparing her documents, told her parents, prepared her clothes and all her needed stuff. Two weeks later everything was done and she flew to Korea shining and sparkling.
There was again this little problem... She didn’t even think about that she doesn’t know the language. Her friend assured her this isn’t a big problem and she’s going to learn it quickly. So, she started going to language lessons again. Of course Mia was working too— in a new café around in the same area as the apartment.

Oh, you thought that “Hmm... he’s romantic person. Do you know what is romantic? Cooking dinner for your tired girlfriend!” But well... you didn’t guess this time. He is probably the worst cook ever. He can make portion of instant noodles taste like poison, according to his friends.

It was kind of extreme situation actually. It happened in one club. Mia was out with her friends and they were getting drunk and dancing with random guys, as always. So... Mia was alone and this weird middle-aged man started talking and flirting with her. She was disgusted by him and his tries to touch her where a stranger shouldn’t put his hands. Hyungwon was in the same club with his friends but most of them were drunk and on the dancing floor, so he was practically alone and wandering around with no clue what to do. Then he saw this guy doing this weird stuff to the poor lonely lady, so out of boredom he went there and made a scene. Eventually the guy went away.

Actually it happened like this—
“Hey! What are you doing to my girlfriend?” - H
“Oh, we were just chatting. Right, beauty?” - Guy
“No...” - M
“I saw you. Don’t try to lie.” - H
“You, youngsters, are all very annoying.” And the weird guy went away. After which Hyungwon sat next to Mia and they introduced to one another and exchanged contacts.
