having her family to move out from the philippines at the age of 6, melissa has become very much familiar with the american culture and she's actually more used to it than to her own race's tradition which is the filipino culture. growing up, melissa was spoiled as well, she was showered with expensive clothes and make up such as gucci and mac. her parents gave her too much love and appreciation which formed the person melissa is now. she is so full of herself because her parents made her believe she is the best of the bunch. she feels that she's very expensive because she was raised being surrounded by all of these branded materials that she thinks was made for her. melissa was born a princess, but unfortunately, she was not the kind of princess you always see in barbie movies.

basically, melissa grew up being showered with both love and expensive materials and she's not really ashamed of it. she doesn't care if people thinks she's SPOILED, BITCHY, and BRATTY, it's not her fault she turns out to be the person those people wanted to be, she believes their simply jealous of what she has and what she is. but behind her CONFIDENT figure, melissa is literally SOFT on the inside and would want to be friends with everyone she meets but she always fails to do so because her INTIMIDATING personality clouds everything that she's supposed to be: SMART, CARING, and SWEET but since majority of the people believes she's nothing close to sugar, spice and everything nice, she decided to act how they think she really acts in real life. all this bitch act just became a facade because the society thinks melissa's better off with being the rich, spoiled brat she is. melissa is very SUBMISSIVE and can be a PUSH-OVER at times but this facade also help her to be a much more STRONGER person on the inside, emotionally and mentally. she formed a new melissa and that new melissa is now RUDE, CONCEITED, DECEIVING, and a TWO-FACED. she's not saying she's proud of it though, she just doesn't want to be stepped on over and over again like a mat in the past. she doesn't want to be known as BORING, a CRYBABY, and definitely not WEAK, she wants the old melissa gone.
