Kolt’s life started as a normal one. Atop of grand elephant, Zou. He spent the first few years of his life in the Dukedom, peacefully being raised by his parents. They exists on the day side of the twelve house clock. His father, he manned the fields and his mother hunted. However, there came a day when his father and mother committed a crime that he to this day lacks knowledge of, and were told to leave. They were given 30 cycles, and they worked. His father had brought in Kolt to help with the construction of a simple boat that would allow them to travel the seas of the New world.

30 days passed, his father had constructed the best boat he could for the waters, and soon they set out from the elephant and soon the seas of the new world. It took them several months before they found a new land to set up upon, and that's what they ended up doing. They ended up in the Kingdom of Dressrosa. At first, there was trouble setting up. His father was quite similar to a bear in form, so he was intimidating by far and his mother resembled a cat in her animal features. There were some talks to sell them as slaves, that didn’t happen, but it might as well have. They work themselves to the bone for a good 3 years of his life after landing on that forsaken island before they died, or that's what Kolt was told.

His parents had been given an offer to sell Kolt to the Colosseum, and when they rejected the offer they were soon killed. Kolt was then taken and forced into training at the age of 10. Little did they know, they were soon responsible for a monster. From the start, the Minks had an advantage over normal humans. They were physically stronger, and recovered much faster. Those that had come to harness Electro would do even better, but Kolt wasn’t there yet. His mother had taught him how to start using it, but it didn’t get that far.

They broke the poor 10 year old as soon as they could. It took them four months, and it soon became the worse moments of his life. It started with putting him a cell with twelve other boys. They were told that whoever killed another would get a meal. At first, many of them thought it was a joke. Kolt thought they were just being mean. Though as the fourth day came, and the sickly one died they realized it wasn’t a lie. A guard came to the room, and asked who killed him then following another claim to have done it. The hauled the body out, and an hour later the supposed killer had been taken to another room to eat. As he came back Kolt’s nose picked up something horrible. The boy that came back smelled not just of his own filth, but of the other one as well.
