COSTUMES
Background: Michelle Kang was born in the Philippines to Korean parents. She was the oldest of three children (she had two younger sisters named Mia and Mariel, and a younger brother named Marco). Michelle grew up speaking English, Korean and Tagalog, and she loved to swim. It was Michelle’s dream to become a mermaid for a day. She didn’t really get to go to Korea very much, her family only visited Korea every now and then. However, Michelle really wanted to study abroad and go there for school. So when she was 16, she was allowed to go and study abroad in Seoul. Some time later (the Halloween where she was cursed) she dressed up as a mermaid and went into a haunted house. Unfortunately, she has yet to come out of the house, as she was cursed and now becomes a real mermaid whenever water touches her. She can’t survive for more than 5 hours without transforming in water. Being a mermaid definitely isn’t as fun as Michelle thought it would be.

How he acts around you: Chanyeol is really stunned by her and thinks she’s the most beautiful person he’s ever seen. He feels really bad that she is cursed and wants to help her. He tries to keep it as more of a friend relationship in the beginning but his crush on her intensifies as the story progresses.

How you act around him: Michelle at first thinks of him as nothing more than a random handsome boy. She doesn’t really care for him. Soon, she begins to realize how funny and kind he is, and becomes more drawn to him. She falls in love with him quickly, but doesn’t act on it because she knows it won’t work out unless she can be freed from her curse.

How does he rescue you: Chanyeol cries after trying many ways to save her, thinking there is no cure, and some of his tears (human tears) fall on Michelle’s tail and into the water as he is hugging her. This saves Michelle.
