- Snappians,
- Earlier this evening we released the following Facebook statement:
- "...Any way, after reviewing the preliminary results we found some "cheating" that occurred with the extra points. With this said we will NOT be using the extra points in with the final score. Some people took it too far and made it not fair at all. We here at Snappz are all about equality...."
- This release only contained one reason why we decided this. This statement is being released to explain all of the reasons. We hope that you understand our decision and are supportive.
- 1) Hacking - We found that some users decided to write scripts to continually refresh the extra points page ending there total extra points with somewhere around 44,000 - 70,00 points. This is not fair and at first we decided to remove the points from just those users.
- 2) Equality - This one was our fault. We found that some users answered the question for day 1 and received 1 point. Then answered no other questions. So, there total would be 1. Although, since there extra points were anywhere from 4,000 - 6,000 this would make there final score 4,000 - 6,000. Is this fair for those of you that really tried hard on the other questions?
- 3) Concept - We blame ourselves for this mistake. We should have never said anything about extra points, it was never in the original plan. The concept was horrible as it gives an unfair advantage to those that didn't try at all or those that had many friends (or a script).
- We apologize for wasting your friends time on the extra points section of the contest but we really can't use the points as valid points for the contest. We Hope that this does not change your thoughts about SnappzMarket nor our contest program as we are still new to this and are striving to make every experience you have with us the best possible one! Please note, we truly are sorry for this and will make it up in the near future. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the contest please feel free to contact SnappzMarket Dev at [email protected]
- Thanks again for your support and understanding and best wishes to all!
